    Onion Rings

Small cozy restaurant so be sure to curb your expectations, but don't let the looks fool you! The service was A1, the servers were every attentive. I really must admit .. every single thing I had was delicious, even down to the random onion rings I was in the mood for. The Mac and cheese was cheesy but not overly, the creamed spinach was good but not something to rave about, the thick bacon TOP TIER, and last but mostly not least the rib eye for 2 as quite perfectly made. I would 100% recommend this restaurant and I'll be back !

Believe the hype. My husband and I heard about Prime and Beyond from lots of different friends and acquaintances and finally decided to make a special visit. First impressions are unimpressive - it doesn't look like much from the outside and it's surprisingly small and cozy on the inside - but this seemingly humble spot serves up some delightful meats. Both dry- and wet-aged are available, the butcher-fresh cuts are available for purchase to take home. One of the unique things about the menu here is that there's a clear infusion of Korean dishes, like the kimchi stew. I thought the cost of some side dishes like kimchi seemed a little steep (especially since they're typically free in traditional Korean restaurants), but it was intriguing to see such things served alongside steakhouse offerings. We opted for a kimchi carbonara to start, and that was truly intriguing. The pasta was studded with pieces of bacon and slick with a rich and cheesy sauce with a spicy fermented funk that could only be ascribed to a touch of gochujang. We'd never tried anything like it anywhere else and absolutely loved this interpretation of a classic pasta dish. If there were any notes about our meal, it's that the fat cap on the edge of our steak was thicker than we typically prefer. But I'd argue that was on us since servers bring by each cut of steak for inspection before it heads to the grill. In this and countless other ways, service was seamless. Other small and random notes: - Reservations are only made over the phone. - This restaurant is BYOB! Had we but known, we would've come prepared. Don't make the same mistake we did and bring your own bottle. - Finding parking in this area can be a madhouse; thankfully, there's a small parking lot out front.

They reminded us about 2hr limit for staying couple of times, during the reservation and when we were ordering. FYI, the place was empty. For lunch, they only serve until 2 so get there early. Food was OK, but I was expecting better for the price. We had different cuts of steaks and wet/dry aged. To be honest, I couldn't taste the dry age flavor and was surprisingly chewy. Leads me to believe these are choice cuts.

My friends and I came here for the lunch service this past Saturday as a party of 5 and a baby to celebrate our birthday. Ive been meaning to check this place out for a while. Glad I did. The lunch menu is very affordable compared to their dinner menu. We started with grilled octopus, crab cake, and dry aged crust for appetizers. All was scrumptious. I especially loved the side of pickled red onion and sauerkraut. Was reallly really good and helped cut the grease. The octopus was so good with the orange sauce that it came with. Then we had the ribeye, lamb chop, and ny bone in. All mains came with some rice, a fried egg, and side salad. We were all very full and very satisfied with our meals. Only note is that their ribeye was on the thinner side. Maybe due to it being lunch. But it was very juicy. I think lunch service was a really good value. And the sides were all geared to the korean palette which I thought was a nice touch and everything was much less salty than at traditional steak houses. The ambiance wasn't super fancy or anything. It did feel a little bit cramped in there. But i would return.

Never disappointing. If craving steak near Fort Lee, Leonia Bergen County area - other than Ruth's Chris - this is the place. All the usual menu - Tomahawk, Porter House, skirt steak- as great as any other steak house. Their side menus are also worth the try, especially the creamed spinach and mushrooms. It is BYOB, another reason to visit.

Came here with a coworker for lunch since the pricing is much more approachable than dinner. We were seated right away, and I appreciated that they offer parking, even if it's limited. We ordered the lunch box special and the wet-aged ribeye. Both were incredibly tasty. The lunch box is huge, definitely something you could share or take home for later. The space is cozy and well packed with tables, so it can feel a bit tight, but the food more than makes up for it. They also have a butcher shop inside where you can buy high-quality meat to take home, which is a great bonus. Great lunch spot overall and I'd absolutely come back.

The food here is absolutely delicious! We are meat lovers and have been to numerous steakhouses in NJ, NYC, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio! We loved our wet boneless ribeye, cooked perfectly, I wanted my steak rare plus, exactly as ordered and the medium rare steak came out exactly as expected! The quality of meat is excellent! Also we tried the kimchi carbonara, it was phenomenal, so tasty, a MUST TRY, and the bone marrow soup was delicious, not too salty either! It is a BYOB so don't forget your spirits/wines! Also don't be put off by the 2 hour dining time limit, it's a smaller restaurant so they do need table turnovers. We did not feel rushed at all.

The best meat quality for the size & price- I love this place (with a passion)+ for lunch they give you an egg too The dinner steaks are amazing as well- came 2 weeks ago and back again if this isn't an obsession idk what is (and waitresses are super sweet!)

Took quite some time to finally have the chance to try this place out after hearing a lot of good word of mouth. However I'm glad I was able to indulge in this steakhouse/butcher shop hybrid restaurant. The one thing to keep in mind is that portions here are insane. The house salad was big enough for 3 or 4 people to share. The fried calamari was big enough to make you full unless you have a few others on the table to enjoy the tasty dish with. One order of bacon contains 2 gigantic slices, so you get the point. The (good) problem with a place like this is that if you are into trying a lot of their delicious appetizers et al you'll likely get full pretty fast. One appetizer that is worth the weight though is the onion soup. The broth is not salty and the cheese was incredibly savory and indulgent. The cheese really carried the flavor (and not leaning on a salty soup) and it was so incredibly delicious. Sure this made me pretty damn full already but it was absolutely worth it. I would strongly recommend it. The steak I ordered was the 14 oz boneless NY Strip. This steak felt way bigger than 14 oz, not that it's a bad thing but it was definitely very heavy. The meat quality was very good and the flavor was excellent. The homemade sauce was also very nice. I probably would have enjoyed this more if the appetizers didn't stuff me to the brim, but it was still absolutely delicious. To be honest I expected nothing less from a butcher shop hybrid. Too bad I was too full to enjoy dessert but the overall experience was amazing and very indulgent. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone who's a meathead and has no problem eating giant slabs of meat. Keep in mind my 14 oz piece of meat was on the 'smaller' side - I saw other tables order bigger cuts and they were absolutely immense - so be mindful of what you order and how much you can actually enjoy ....

TLDR: A little family run spot in Fort Lee. Think your classic steakhouse with a slight Korean twist. Shrimp cocktail. Skirt steak. BYOB - you're welcome. To be honest, the first time I tried Prime & Beyond; didn't love it. We tried it again and we've really gotten to like this spot. Really the only thing that gives the hint of Korean is they have kimchi fried rice on the menu as a side and you get a scallion salad with your steak. They have pretty classic offerings but the shrimp cocktail is what stood out. First, these are huge - so bouncy and perfectly cooked. While most are just kind of poached in salt water, these are pre-seasoned which makes them quite unique. Steaks. We've done the dry-aged cuts which they have in a case when you walk in. These are great but the "go to" has been the skirt steak. It's quite sharable for two hungry guys or three normal people. It's pre-sliced, super tender with this nice sauce they make. I typically have leftovers which go great on noodles, thrown in a fried rice or just eat it at room temp the next day. Plus I get to bring some nice bottles of wine and it's really not too much damage on your wallet. If you're in the area, you should 100% check this place out. Snapple Fact: They wholesale to a lot of your favorite KBBQ spots around town. They know their meat.

Back again and can't say one bad word. That kimchi fried rice is always amazing. We haven't had a bad steak here. Service was great. We will be back.

Shrimp cocktail, it tasted and looked like overcooked shrimp that was thrown back in the fridge..

How can I make reservation? No one answered the phone and asked me to insert sth access code?!

Would anyone recommend coming here for their 30th birthday dinner?

If you plan on having a lot of people then maybe not. It's a small place and very tight seating. Maybe you should go in and see the table arrangement first. You'll definitely need to hold a reservation if you decide to go here.

I ordered the Unagi Don Gozen ($42)- it came with a whole tray of different delicious items, with the star of the show being a generous amount of unagi (eel) over rice. The eel was cooked very well and the rice was flavorful with a bit of sweetness. There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

When we had questions about menu items, our server was unable to provide any additional information and simply responded that "it's whatever is written on the menu." That was not helpful and did not reflect the level of service I would expect. The wood-fired chicken was very good--moist, flavorful, and one of the best parts of the meal. However, the steak was ordered medium and arrived significantly overcooked. To make matters worse, the pizza I ordered never arrived because the server failed to enter it into the order. The biggest concern came when the check arrived. We were charged for a bottle of wine that we never ordered, which required us to question and correct the bill. Additionally, a 20% gratuity was automatically added even though the menu states that automatic gratuity applies only to parties of 8 or more, and our party consisted of just 6 people. While the kitchen did produce some good food, the combination of unhelpful service, missed orders, an overcooked steak, and billing errors made for a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, the service issues overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable meal.

Rather than continue the stressful drive, we decided to take the next exit and find a nearby restaurant and La Noma Italian Steakhouse stood out as an upscale restaurant option. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance makes an impression. The space is upscale, chic, modern, and sophisticated, with warm neutral tones of crème and brown throughout. The ceilings, artwork, and architectural details all give the restaurant an elegant feel. We started with the seared octopus, which came in second to the grilled octopus from our favorite Mediterranean restaurant (we are particular about grilled octopus, so this is a compliment). We also split the Bone Marrow Bolognese. I personally enjoyed it, though my husband wasn't quite as impressed. For dessert, we ordered the Cremosa, made with passion fruit purée and white chocolate cremosa, and we both loved it. The wine and champagne selection was top notch. As a certified sommelier, I especially appreciated the curated options and variety available. Overall, I gave La Noma 4 stars because while I enjoyed the meal, my husband didn't love the pasta dish as much as I did. That said, we both agreed this is absolutely a must-visit spot before or after a movie at the nearby iPic Theater. Between the ambiance, attentive service, extensive wine and champagne list, and diverse menu options, this is definitely a restaurant we'll return to. To be considerate of the staff and timing, we looked over the menu on the way there so we would be ready to order immediately upon being seated. However, after being seated and brought water, it took nearly 20 minutes before a server even came to our table to provide the complimentary bread and take our order. It's also important to note that this was one of the last reservation slots of the night, and there were only about 4-5 occupied tables in the restaurant. Two of those tables seemed to just be there for drinks, yet every other table was being attended to and served regularly while our table was overlooked. We were the youngest of all the tables and dressed accordingly and they seemed to pay more attention to the table of men in button ups and suits. According to other reviews, seems like this isn't the first time they pick and choose who they want to provide good service for. We ordered a good amount of food which are shown in the pics below to be shared with 2 of my close friends and myself. Props to the bartender, the Espresso Martini from here has to be one of the best we've tried!! We ordered the steak Medium Rare, and received it back perfectly cooked. It was seasoned well but wish it came with a more generous serving of the veggies, The Oysters tasted very fresh and sweet which we also loved! Pastas were very flavorful but definitely way over priced for a serving enough for just one person unless you're planning to share everything family style. Ambiance of place is very nice and aesthetic and was pleased with the food, the only reason why this place is getting a 3/5 star is because of the service we had received. Note: They also add auto gratuity of 20%... which is another reason. For that I expect better service than what we received... it felt like there was little incentive to provide quality service when the tip was already guaranteed regardless of the overall experience. Hopefully next time we come back we will receive way better attentiveness.

In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

Great service amazing meat quality this place is very clean. It's a little pricey but it's worth it to Wagyu. Steak was amazing.

Our starters were delicious, the coconut shrimp and ribs were both flavorful. The mains were even better, the cowboy steak and porterhouse were definitely the stars of the night for us; tender, juicy, and cooked exactly how we asked. Portions were also pretty generous which we appreciated. Ended the night with cheesecake and tiramisu and both were delicious. You can tell this is a family-owned place that takes pride in what they do.

The bar area was pretty busy but there were plenty of tables. I ordered the surf & turf which came out to around $60 (MP due to the lobster tail). My dad ordered the ribeye. Both steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked to our desired medium rare. We both felt that the quality was really good. I also highly recommend the garlic mashed potatoes. I also ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert, which comes with vanilla ice cream. Not the best one I've ever tried, but it certainly satisfied my chocolate craving. The servers checked in on us a few times (but not so often that it got annoying). Also, I had asked for my leftovers to-go and then left it on the table when I left, and someone ran out to catch up to us and give me the leftovers I'd forgotten. Really appreciated that!

The restaurant had a nice interior, fancy bar, lots of arts and Cuban vibes all around. They had booth seating by the window that had good view of Hudson Terrace and I-9. We started our lunch with appetizer sampler that came with empanadas, croquettes, bao bans and potstickers. I liked both the empanadas (beef and chicken), the chicken potstickers were also good. Ham croquettes and the bao buns with shredded beef were average. For entree I ordered the Rabo Encendido (braised oxtail stew). It came with three pieces of bone with plenty of meat on them, on side of rice and beans. I loved the taste of the oxtail and the stew, was flavorful and meat was tender. I also got to try the seafood paella which lacked flavor, rice was so bland. The chicken & waffle's waffle was good but the fried chicken pieces were so basic. I got the mango mojito (non-achohol) that was so tasty, I ordered two of them. Our server was super nice, did an excellent job throughout the lunch. All staff members were friendly. Food came out in short intervals.

It has 2 levels. The staff were all nice and attentive. Unfortunately, the seafood paella was under seasoned. Very blend. Did not give me the saffron taste at all. Portion of seafood was generous. But again, blend. Chicken and waffle was dry. At least the chicken was seasoned on this one. Appetizer sampler was not bad. Get to try beef/chicken empanadas, chicken baos, pork croquettes, friend chicken dumplings. Ox tail was also blend to me. Overall the food was underwhelming but the service and atmosphere were nice.

It was not a bad drive from College Point, around 40 minutes crossing the bridge. Parking is super limited since they have a small parking lot and street parking could be a little challenging. The restaurant is very small but very cozy. Their decor is very elegant with low lighting. I really loved the service and how attentive our waiter was; he gave recommendations and explained the whole rodizio experience. They have a small salad bar with a selection of cold pasta salad, Caesar salad, arugula salad, white rice and different sauces. The waiter brought sweet plantains and cheesy bread balls to the table which were both absolutely delightful. Now the meats; I honestly enjoyed all the meats but my favorite were the skirt steak, picanha, chorizo and the chicken hearts. I loved that they bring the meat to your liking temperature wise; we requested medium well which was so juicy and tasty. You definitely get your moneys worth since you can keep repeating as much as you want. They end the meal with a beautiful slice of pineapple with cinnamon which is sweet. Since it was my birthday, my boyfriend requested a tres leches for the table which was honestly the most delicious tres leches I have ever had. It was a generous portion and was so moist and sweet. Enjoyed every bite of it. I will definitely be returning the next time I have a steak craving again.

This time our particular craving was meat so naturally rodizio was on the table. My brother recommended Brazeiro because he had a good experience there and the price was very reasonable. Technically there's a parking lot but it's hilariously small. You'll likely need to find street parking when you dine here. We were able to snag a table for 4 pretty quickly. The sides are good but not great, but that's not what you come here for. They have some meat add-ons that cost extra and they were intriguing but not enough for us to order them. The meats were delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. The server asks how you like your meats cooked prior to the service starting. They've got most of the typical cuts for rodizio and it's finished off with cinnamon-coated pineapple. Brazeiro just might be the new go-to for rodizio.
