For a mall location, the interior of Fogo de Chão is surprisingly upscale -- you really feel like you've stepped into a fine dining restaurant. The ambiance is elegant, lively, and definitely sets the tone for a special meal. That said, the cost is very expensive. At $73 per person for the Full Churrasco Experience, even with it being all-you-can-eat, it can feel a bit steep especially when you're only getting one slice of meat each time the gauchos come by. The staff does come around frequently, which I appreciated since it never felt like they were trying to delay service or keep the portions tiny. The Market Table is a mix of hits and misses. Some items are really good; I loved all the cheeses, dried meats, and peppers, especially when you want a break from the meat. But there are also quite a few mediocre items that feel like filler. The sides included with the meal yuca fries and mashed potatoes were unfortunately cold, which was disappointing since so many offerings at the Market Table are also chilled. A couple of hot, fresh sides would really elevate the experience. Overall, we did enjoy our evening here: great service, beautiful atmosphere, tasty meats. But for what's provided, I feel the price should be closer to $50 per person. At $73, the value just doesn't totally align with the cost.

I love Fogo de Chão and usually go for special occasions or group outings. This time my husband and I went for our anniversary, and overall we had a nice meal. We did the churrasco experience, and while the service was definitely on the slower side, we still enjoyed the food. They took a while to come by with the different cuts of steaks so that made me take away a star, we also asked for a certain cut to come out again and it never did. This wouldn't be my top Fogo location, it's smaller than others and being inside the mall takes away a bit of the ambiance , but it's still a good option if this is the closest Fogo to you.

Lots of options for food, if you like different varieties of meats. Service was good. Staff was informative on the different options. Enjoyed dinner with the family. Reservations are recommended because this place can get busy especially on weekends.

I wish I could have given it more stars since I've been wanting to come here for some time now. However I can't. Let me start by saying they definitely seat you depending on what you are wearing. We had reservations, got there early. The 3 of us were in jeans, one was wearing nice jeans with ripped knees but unless you were looking you couldn't tell they were rippwd and a nice hat, this is were I say we were seated based on our clothes, we were told we had to wait for a table to clear so while we waited a couple came in, she in a dress and heels he was office casual with a sports jacket, they were seated right away in the main dinning area. We were finally seated all the way in the far right side, poorly lit back room, very smelly corner table where there were two families with small unruly children having birthday parties. We went for the $49/$54 rodizo they advertise HOWEVER that wasn't the case. When we had asked about it because nowhere on the menu does it show the offer, the waitress pointed to two places on the menu one for $74 and the other for $96. We decided to go with entrees at this point. My daughter picked Stake Picanha, and I picked the Lamb Picanha, both were supposed to be table carved 8-10 Oz total meat. If we got a total 3 Oz of each that was a lot. The guy only came by our table twice within the 2 plus hours we were there, each time we each got two things slices of meat. The lamb was horrible, it was flavorless. We were never asked if we wanted dessert and were just handed out check. $300 for 3 people...3 entrees, 1 side and 4 drinks. The floors were so greasy and slippery that i actually slipped going to the salad bar and the women's bathroom was dirty with one stall door broken. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where you can spend that much money on food and have a much better dinning experience.

I was craving steak yesterday but had to work late, so I ordered dinner from Fogo de Chao. It was delicious! I ordered the bacon wrapped steak. For the two sides I picked the apple salad and the mozzarella caprese. I was impressed! For a takeout meal it was extremely good and packaged extremely well. Delivery was very quick. I was definitely satisfied.

Came here for my anniversary and we loved it once again. The staff is extremely friendly and the ambiance is so chill and relaxed. The food is always fresh and delicious and just keeps coming. The buffet table has some great options and I particularly loved the lentil soup.

Celebrated my nephew's birthday! We enjoyed tasting all the delicious meat. The staff are also accommodating, friendly especially Otavio.

Dined here for an event on the second level a few months ago and it was great! The capirinas absolutely delicious! Lemonade just as tasty! Food, service and ambience -awesome. An upscale feel in GSP not bad at all. Very spacious, tow bars and a variety of dishes. Keep in mind that it's. Brazilian venue-lots of meats but you can opt for all you can eat or order preferred entrees. Will definitely return.

Took my husband to Fogo de Chão for his birthday after wanting to go for sometime and my experience exceeded my expectations! Upon walking into the restaurant, I was in awe by the gorgeous interior design as it had a very lavish feel. We decided to do the full rodizio experience which came out to $70 pp. It includes the market table which had a phenomenal, large variety of fruits, cheeses, meats, salads, rice and beans and more! In addition, you receive 4 family style sides: maduros, polenta, garlic mashed potatoes and Pão de queijo. & the sides were just as delicious as the meat. We ate bacon wrapped chicken & steak, picanha, sausage & more that I can't remember but the list of meats that comes around is extensive. In addition, their staff is phenomenal. We were constantly being checked in on- but not in an overbearing way. They came with clean plates when needed & cleared dishes often, when necessary. My husband and I were full from our dinners, but one of the servers insisted we get a dessert because it is complimentary on your bday. We picked the papaya cream & it was unlike anything I've ever tasted! They blend papaya with vanilla ice cream and it was refreshing & not too sweet! definitely recommend (it also was only 240 calories - way less than any of the other desserts offered) Highlights: food, service, ambiance, parking (located in garden state plaza so ample parking) Thank you Fogo de Chão for making my husbands bday a memorable one! We will be back!

Let me just say I didn't feel like meat when we ate at Fogo de Chao. You really need to be in a carnivorous mood to dine at a Brazilian steak house. Our server was really nice and the young man who went table to table selling some "healthy" alcoholic beverage was really passionate about his product. We bought one from him...it was good. I also loved my passion fruit caipirinha. If we'd just had drinks at the bar and cheese bread, this would be a 5 star review. But my fish entree I ordered was overpriced and not good. The three others in my party did the rodizio. 2 did the full monte and 1 did the single all you can eat choice. This was REALLY expensive and they said the cuts of meat weren't the best. 2 of them were sick after...not sure if it was the rodizio or something on the salad bar. I found the salad bar to be meh compared to other Brazilian steakhouses. The restaurant itself is a beautiful, glitzy new space in the Garden State Plaza.

For the price point, Fogo de Chao missed the mark. We made reservations for Christmas dinner. We were sat at the small tables right next to the bar. The music was incredibly loud and we were constantly surrounded by people either walking by or standing and talking next to our table. Our water glasses were dirty and there was food on my seat. The paper menu was covered in stains. It took over 10 minutes for someone to greet us and take our order. They asked if it was our first time there, we said it was and then they proceeded to poorly explain how everything works. We ordered entrees thinking that we would just get one serving of meat, sides and unlimited salad bar. This is not the case. The entrees just allow unlimited servings of the one style of meat you pick. Waiting for the one server with your style of meat was unpleasant because they were scarce. Once we got the meat, it was pretty good. The tableside upselling is tacky, but we did purchase the $27 "jumbo" shrimp cocktail. The shrimp had a weird texture and were not fully cleaned. We received the sides way before we found the server with our style meat. The mashed potatoes were a soupy texture. The fried polenta was stale. The mini popover were raw in the middle. We ordered a bottle of wine and the wine service is very formal. The bottle was presented, cork was offered - the whole show. That was nice. I ordered a specific ice wine with desert and was given a different one because they were out of the one i ordered. I questioned the server and the manager was very dismissive and snobby - he said they gave me a "better one". I would have appreciated being told that before being given something random that I didn't order. Overall, the price does not match the quality offered. I don't think I've ever been so uncomfortable, confused and disappointed in a holiday dining experience before.

My wife and I were invited here for her company holiday party. The vibes are very boujee and definitely don't look like you're in Paramus once you're inside. All of the food was phenomenal! The service was great as the servers came around with food every few minutes as long as the card indicated to do so.

At the salad bar, I got some cheese, prosciutto, rice, potato salad, green beans, asparagus and potatoes au gratin. The only thing I found worth getting again was the potato salad but I didn't even need it because the mashed potatoes they bring out were enough for me, they're pretty good. I didn't like how the vegetables were all cold. The potatoes au gratin were warm but weren't good in my opinion but I was here for the steak so let's get to it: Picanha top sirloin - fire honestly, my favorite. Perfectly cooked. No notes whatsoever. This heavily weighed my rating. Tri tip - Pretty good taste, could've been more rare in my opinion. Flank - Okay, a little tougher than I was expecting. Garlic steak - Tough, not garlicky enough, overdone :/ not good. Barbeque ribs - Alot of cartilage, flavor was fine, not my favorite especially when there's steak involved. Bacon-wrapped filet - it was first brought out well done so I asked if they had it more rare. The server was nice enough to put in a medium rare request for me! He came back in about 5-10 minutes and it was more medium than rare (he asked me if it was alright and I lied because I didn't want to cause more stress so that's on me lol) I will say that it was definitely more rare than that first one and was more tender than the garlic steak but it fully absorbed the bacon flavor and it was a bit too much for me to enjoy. Other notes: I avoided the chicken because I remembered that it tends to be dry and I was right based on my family's reactions. I'm not a huge fan of sausage but my brother did have three of them so they're probably good lmao. The bananas are a good palate cleanser for in between and after. Since my birthday is coming up, I got a piece of the banana's foster pie and it was good! Just could do without the nuts inside personally. I would try something else next time probably. I think overall, Texas de Brazil is a bit hit or miss but I do enjoy the experience of trying and comparing different cuts, and there are some really good ones that make it worth it especially when I've been to expensive steakhouses that definitely don't have anything as good as that amazing picanha steak.

The server I had at this restaurant was Angel. I absolutely loved that he was super funny, kind, and friendly. His attentiveness and service exceeded expectations and made the entire dining experience even more spectacular. Even for certain meats that weren't circulating on the floor, he would still bring them from the kitchen. The ambiance and atmosphere were truly beautiful. The food was on point from start to finish. The service was beyond marvelous. I highly recommend stopping by Picanha Brazilian Steakhouse for an epic dining outing that will leave you full and satisfied, especially since it's all you can eat!

RUDE, CONDESCENDING manager: RONALDO…read more Had a very disappointing experience at this establishment last night. My family and I have been coming to Picanha at the Palisades Mall for YEARS, and prior to that, at the Texas de Brazil in that same location prior to the transition of ownership. Picanha is a "favorite" establishment and we frequent especially during special occasions. Last night was my niece's 6th birthday, and she specifically asked for Picanha as where she would like her birthday dinner. My sister walked in at 6:15pm asking for a seat for a table for 7 people. The manager, Ronaldo, said that because reservations weren't made in advance and that it was a walk in he could not seat us until 8:00pm. My sister phoned me with this news, i was still on my way to the mall having made the trip from North Haven, CT for my niece. So, I came up with the idea that I will make a reservation online. I looked at the online booking on their website and there multiple reservations available to accommodate our party and so I chose 6:30pm. I even called the establishment to confirm the appointment, and the female hostess was able to confirm. I walked in at 6:25, the hostess acknowledged me and my family and was getting ready to seat us. But the manager, Ronaldo, saw my sister and my family and I said..."No, no, no, I told you guys you can't come into 8:00pm". And I said, but I made a reservation online? And he said "but I already told you you can't." Confused, I asked. There are multiple time slots available online, he said, word for word, "I recognize your faces. I already said I can't seat you until 8". We were upset, especially since his tone was very condescending and he was speaking to us rudely. Prolonging his syllables when we would try to speak to him and explain ourselves, not letting us speak and refusing to seat us as he is walking us towards the door in FRONT of my 6-year old niece and other customers in the establishment as we realize that we are now causing a scene. We had no choice but to leave. My niece was tearful and said, I don't want to come to Picanha anymore. "That man is so mean to my mommy". Really, Ronaldo? On her 6th birthday, really? Thank you for ruining that night and her special day for us. I don't need any "apologies" or special treatment. I just felt that the situation could have been handled differently and professionally if the manager that they have on duty was professional himself. My family and I are respected healthcare providers and we are very mindful about being professional and respectful to others, it was very disappointing and shameful that this man chooses to condescend us as if we were criminals while we were just trying to have and enjoy a special occasion at what used to be our favorite establishment. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

We started with drinks, several of us ordered the caipirinhas, and they were delicious. The salad bar offered a wide variety of options, though I do wish there had been more fruit selections. Service throughout the evening was excellent. Our party went with the unlimited churrasco experience, which was fun and interactive. You are given a coaster with red and green sides to signal when you want more or when to pause. The meat selection was impressive, with a steady flow of picanha (prime sirloin), filet mignon, ribeye, garlic steak, chicken, pork, lamb chops, and sausage, all well-seasoned and flavorful. My personal favorite was the pork belly, especially with the honey drizzle, such a perfect combination. My least favorite was probably the chicken, I thought it was a little bland and needed more seasoning. I do wish shrimp had been included in the churrasco rotation, but it is available to order separately. Our main server, Mary, along with the rest of the staff, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient. To end the night, we tried several desserts: key lime pie, tres leches, brulee cheesecake, and molten lava cake, every single one was a hit. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I would definitely come back again.

We requested specific pieces from Angel and other waiters, where what we requested never came. The servers bringing the meats around also stopped coming to our table despite our mark displaying "Yes, Please" for over half an hour. At the end no additional meats ever made its round to us, so we decided to leave. This was by far the worse experience we ever had at Fogo de Chao. Most other times, we would be completely satisfied where were offered more than enough, and the selections would be fresh. In the photos below, you can see how unripe the pineapple and papaya both were, with the salad dishes being displayed almost empty without being refilled. We came at 5pm on a Tuesday so they really weren't that busy, with at most 6 tables. We mentioned the issue with the overly salty cuts of meat to Angel, but ultimately nothing was done about it. Overall, this experience unfortunately tarnished the great reputation of other Fogo de Chaos, which will make us second guess next time we think about having Brazilian steakhouse. This was doubly unfortunate because the restaurant itself looked so classy, warm, and welcoming, with so much potential of providing such an elegant dining experience...which sadly wasn't the case for my family. Thus, I cannot in good conscience recommend this branch of Fogo de Chao.. Thank you for reading and best of luck!
