There's something so special about spending a morning strolling through Beacon -- the art galleries, the little shops, the mountain views -- and then finding yourself at Big Mouth Coffee Roasters for a perfect pick-me-up. I stopped in during a walk down Main Street and immediately loved the vibe. The space has that minimalist-yet-cozy aesthetic: clean lines, soft natural light, and the comforting smell of freshly roasted coffee beans in the air. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel like you could sit for hours and unwind. I ordered the lavender latte, and it was perfection. Smooth espresso, just the right touch of floral sweetness -- not overpowering, just beautifully balanced. It's officially my go-to whenever I'm in town. The staff was super friendly and clearly passionate about what they do, which makes the experience even better. Between the atmosphere, quality coffee, and the charm of Beacon itself, Big Mouth has easily become one of my favorite stops in the Hudson Valley. read more

Ordered: Iced Vanilla Latte (~$6) Aya's take: Busy coffee shop cranking out coffee orders by the minute. It's open, spacious, and has a good amount of seating inside. I got the Iced Vanilla Latte which was fine and did the job. The espresso was extracted well, it was bold, and not overly intense. The vanilla was barely palpable as I didn't taste that sweetness I was looking for. I'd probably stick to some classic menu items rather than anything with an add-on. Decent try! read more

My wife, daughter and I were nearby and that seemed like a good excuse to check out Big Mouth Coffee Roasters. There was ample street parking nearby. The shop itself is very cool, great place to relax. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I received good information about the four available coffee beans available for pour overs. I went with the Sumatran Meukat Komuditi. After a brief wait, I received an amazing tray. The pour over coffee service included a pot of coffee and a glass of sparkling water. They provide a glass for you to pour the coffee into. We had our dog with us, so we sat at their outdoor seating. My wife and daughter enjoyed an iced coffee and a cold brew, with oat milk and caramel syrup. I absolutely loved the complexity of the pour over coffee. Truly a fantastic cup of coffee! Looking forward to returning! read more

Still my favorite coffee shop in beacon but they've dropped some drinks from their menu and the coffee tastes a little off now. I mean the base roast that's used in a an ice coffee or drip coffee. I could be wrong but it's tastes overly bright/floral now? read more

Stopped here off of a recommendation from a sweet lady working in the plant shop down the street. Came for a decaf iced coffee and holy smokes I could not believe how cheap it was! $2 and change, not used to that living on Long Island. The place was cool, spacious, some seating in the back, front and some picnic table seating right out front on the main drag. The guy behind the counter was, unfriendly, as was the person who gave me my drink. I tried to be friendly and made a joke. Either my joke was not funny or the people working here don't like to laugh. I thought it was funny. Anyways, the coffee was average, nothing special at all. Granted it was decaf, it was just blah for me. I heard their pumpkin drinks are amazing though so check it out and see for yourself! read more

Their coffee is always on point! I love all their flavored syrups and lattes. Always very nice people behind the counter. I love how the space is decorated and all the different seating options are great! read more

I stopped by this spot during a little day trip outside of NYC, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. The cozy atmosphere was a nice surprise--they have free Wi-Fi and local newspapers by the entrance, which gave the place a charming, community feel. The coffee was solid, but the real standout was the oatmeal cookie--soft, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet. Sometimes the best finds are the unexpected ones, and this definitely felt like one of those happy discoveries. read more

Super cute coffee shop. The mascot is adorable. The staff was nice. She made my drink exactly the way I asked. The coffee was good.

Great coffee shop in Beacon! I liked my iced coffee and my boyfriend liked his iced latte! Lots of seating inside and the staff is friendly. There's also cool merchandise for the store itself. I'll be back! read more

I love this spot. The coffee is really good and the building is beautiful. The service is fast. Best coffee in beacon.

To buy coffee beans it's pricey but a cup of coffee is delicious. I like to start off with drip coffee as I feel that determines a lot about a coffee shop for me And it was very good cup of coffee. They offer milk and sugar on the side for free you can add for your drink. The service was very fast as theyl staff was friendly. They were busy but had a good amount of seating areas. I would return and try some other items. read more

Big mouth is a great local coffee shop with thoughtfully roasted coffee. The coffee itself is next level and their baristas take the time to thoughtfully prepare each order. Disgustingly my sweet baked goods that I threw out and the coffee was just as bad.. as was the attitude, service and skill set of the barista and the cashier. We actually tipped 15% ahead of time and I can't think of a place or staff that deserves it less. The cashier not inky didn't smile or warmly greet us, but also faildd to ask if we wanted things to go or for here ( we had planned on eating in) so I had to actually ask for and get plates myself.. Two of us and two pastries and when I asked for plates she only originally wanted me to use one from the stack.. ? I watched a multitude of people after us get their coffee order and I asked nicely about how long it would be for mine. Knowing they clearly forgot but didn't want to embarrass them. Instead of an apology, the "barista" rolled her eyes and lied about having trouble with the espresso machine and said mine would be next. Then made a few more for other people instead. All in said machine. I said nothing and waited patiently. She then said mine was being made now and I watched in horror as she didn't know how to use the correct amount of coffee or tamper it correctly and knew it was going to be a total waste of money, which it was. Not yo mention she did it all with the most aggressive and nasty attitude.. clerg didn't want to be there or was well versed in customer service or coffee making skills. Then she slammed it down on the opposite side of the machine than I was standing and had a nasty attitude overall. No smile. Not handing it to me directly either. Wtf? Imagine if she hadn't been tipped? Clearly they belong in customer service ( neither one of them.. Wed morning ..today) or behind an espresso machine. Hopefully other staff do a much better job. The overall vibe of the place was dirty and bleak too. Again, hopefully with better people working things are better tasting, feeling and much cleaner. I don't think the sickly sweetness of the pastries would be any better though since they clearly don't bake them themselves .. Do yourself a favor and make it yourself instead. Or go to Kitchen $ Coffee, which is not only clean and delicious ( food and drinks) but has the best personality as well as skill set in it's staff.. I can See why they're so much busier .. Plants etc looked neglected too, not surprisingly .. and bathroom was dirty and gross ( garbage all over the floor) and in desperate need of a paint job as it was scraped away throughout. Can't imagine the cleanliness is any better in good or drink prep. read more

Great coffee, spacious, and relaxed atmosphere. They know how to make a proper cortado, not too much milk. Plenty of non dairy options if that's a preference. Pricing is reasonable. Unfortunately, I had some not so nice Customer Service here today that has me rethinking my patronage here (I have been a regular customer for years and am a newburgh local). The barista mocked me and rolled her eyes at me because I was unaware that they offer three different kinds of iced coffee: nitro coffee, cold brew and a regular iced coffee, and then mocked me again because I assumed that cold brew and iced coffee were the same thing. If you can't be friendly and explain things in a polite way, I'm just not interested in giving you my money. read more

Okay. I liked their options for flavors and such but i got a dark roast coffee with a shot of espresso and it still didn't taste bold at all. Oh and the barista was not nice at all. So nothing special here read more

You will be hard pressed to find any reviews that do NOT love this coffee roaster spot. And for good reason: it's clean, chic, and fun inside with a vibe unmatched by other coffee shops in the town of Beacon. Their menu isn't radical although they do offer Nitro Cold Brew (12/16oz). Also on the menu include a range of "pour overs" including coffees from several countries including Costa Rica (tamarind, tart cherr), Ethopia (lemongrass, blueberry), Kenya (orange, clove), and Sumatra (toffee, malt). Great spacing, even indoors during the pandemic. Multiple bathrooms available for use and couches present for lounging. Save your coffee purchase for Big Mouth, you'll get plenty of more "bang for your buck" than other places. read more

We came to Big Mouth Coffee Roasters today following a recommendation from fellow Yelp Elite Marietta C. that this was the best coffee shop in town. Them's some strong words, but we were looking for a great cup of coffee and some iced tea to quench our thirst as we explored downtown Beacon, so to Big Mouth we went! I am so glad I took her up on the recommendation! Big Mouth Coffee Roasters is the best coffee shop in the downtown Beacon area. Not only is it spacious, drenched in natural light, and full of seating for working on computers, reading, or just hanging with friends, but it is also staffed with knowledgeable and cool baristas who are very helpful with offering suggestions for coffee and tea drinks. As if it couldn't get better, they also roast their coffee beans in house! Wow! AND they are dog friendly! When we went today, my boyfriend got a dark roast coffee with milk and sugar (he's basic, I dunno), and I got a raspberry iced tea, which I found to be very flavorful and refreshing even though it was unsweetened. I also saw that they have a tempting array of pastries in a glass case, but was still too full from our adventure at neighboring Glazed Over Donuts to sample some. Next time! Find me a better coffee shop in the immediate area, I dare you. Until then, I'll be sipping a raspberry iced tea over here at Big Mouth! read more

Feeling depresso? Have some espresso, and more! Ok, so I've always hit up the other coffee shop in beacon for a plain old cup o'joe just for pure convenience and because I really loved the vibes. That all changed once I came to the Big Mouth Coffee Roasters. Let's start with their logo, a HIPPO! Where there a hippo you can't NOT love it! Spacious hipster coffee bar. Quiet atmosphere. Great space to do some work or for a coffee date. Truthfully it's perfect for sketching and people watching if you ask me. If you're just in the mood for a book and cappuccino, go for it. This place is everything. Love their blends, style, vibes, people. It has it all. Pour over coffee for sure is good enough for two, so you can share! They sell "day old" pastries form the bakery down the street at a discounted price as well. Furry friends are welcome, your pup doesn't have to wait outside for you. So bring him in! Knowledgeable staff that will guide you with the roast process in case you're a little undecided on what to order. Great coffee house with all the localities. read more

Great local coffee shop! They didnt seem to have many specialty drinks, but they had a lot of types of drip/pour-over coffee with descriptions of where each type of coffee was from and what its primary flavors were. I got the cold brew and a banana nut muffin. I got the cold brew because I couldn't decide what coffee to get so I asked the barista what she recommended. Both were pretty good. I only gave 4 stars because whatever coffee the cold brew was made from was especially acidic/sour. I know some people like that in coffee, but I was not a fan. read more
