Big Mouth Coffee Roasters - Chocolate croissant and lavender flat white

Big Mouth Coffee Roasters

Already a fan of Big Mouth in Beacon but this location in Newburgh is even better!…read more Not only does it stand on its own in an old gas station now turned into a cool, hip, space - but they also have a seating area that in the warmer months they open up the "garage/mechanic shop" door and it's its own thing. Private events here also HIT. The space can turn into anything you want. The layout of the coffee shop is a bit funky but it's exactly what gives it character. The chocolate croissants here area MUST but word on the street is their almond croissants are even better. I wasn't able to try them since by the time we came here they were sold out but we really enjoyed our drinks, croissants and danishes. Using top of the line La Marzocco to make you the perfect espresso drink, you can choose from cappuccino to latte, to flat white. I got the flat white with macadamia nut milk and lavender syrup served in glass and it was absolutely delicious. The cool thing is you get to sit right in the room where the magic happens: the roasting. The plants give it the right touch and it's the perfect space to come and get some work done while you sip on some delicious coffee.

Really nice coffee spot in the center of the city of Newburgh. Good parking right off the street…read moreand also in the lot. They have quite a selection of coffee/ tea and also sandwiches to go. Very quick with the service and quite cheerful as well. Really enjoyed the stop over here before heading out to the farmers market down the street.

Sacred Grounds is a wonderful, wonderful coffee roaster with coffee and light snacks for takeout,…read more"hidden" (but not really) right in the middle of our one-stoplight town. Yelper Don F. finally gave me the extra nudge I needed to stop in... and now I'm seriously mad at myself for not trying Sacred Grounds sooner. All coffee sold here is organic and fair trade, roasted with a light hand to minimize bitterness and maximize the nutty / fruity notes. To channel my favorite Top Chef contestant of all time, Carla Hall, this coffee tastes like it's roasted with love! I can't say enough nice things about the owner, John Rich, who works the COVID-safe takeout window and has evidently donated coffee for Sherman School SPTO meetings for years. He's kind, friendly, low-key and welcoming. (Nice profile here: https://candlewoodlakemagazine.com/2016/02/22/sacred-grounds-coffee-roasters-brewing-up-a-successful-business-that-rocks/) Sacred Grounds is conveniently located right across the street from school, next to the Painted Lemon (though in this town, what isn't? ;). It feels like a wonderful mini vacation to drop the kids off, get my beautifully made cup of drip coffee served in an environmentally friendly-ish paper cup (post pandemic, I wonder if I could bring my own mug?), and drive somewhere for a nice morning hike, coffee in hand, before commuting back to my "office" (guest bedroom). Two human kids and one pup in, I'm no longer a coffee snob. (At 5 a.m. after two hours of sleep, sometimes instant coffee is just how ya gotta roll.) But even I can appreciate the quality of the roasting here, and recognize that I have to give it the time it deserves to properly enjoy it.

Several fair trade organic coffee choices in quantity of your choice freshly ground. Small space…read moreinside but packed with goodness. There are a few grab and go bites and latte drinks. Some odds and ends like a local gift shop.

Valkyrie Coffee in Sugarloaf Craft Village in Warwick Town NY- at the Post Office by the train…read moretracks. Not the Chester location. They offer food on Thurs Fri Sat Sun. Some pretty interesting breakfast dishes on the menu. I had a protein brownie. It was nice- light- and not sugary. It's a secret little place but quite unique. I had a banana monkey coffee that was an icy treat. My friend had a regular cortado which was good - "well made"was the review. There is outside seating in the shade. A "no loitering" sign made me think of the 1960's when hippies were barefoot all over the place making me nostalgic for loitering but alas, the vibe here is much more uptight- still, I love a nonStarbucks coffee hang. Count me in for another loiter.

The cosmic tea I got was very good, I usually get butterfly tea but never with mixed with fresh strawberry lemonade, a twist most welcomed. The right amount of sweetness without that sometimes bitter tea taste. The guy at counter was super friendly and told me about how drink is made, after asking how I enjoyed it, pretty awesome, one it values you as a customer and well maybe I might try to make it myself. Also a very unique vending machine in there, did not try it but interesting concept.

Reverie Coffee - Lavender latte, street corn toast + gf waffle

So happy to have Reverie back but (in my opinion) even better than before!…read more This time, they're located inside the Promenade with the coolest little vibes surrounded by other great businesses: acupuncture, permanent jewelry, pop ups and more. The only "downside" here is that they don't have a full kitchen like they used to but this doesn't stop this awesome **woman owned** biz to bring her best to the table. From street corn toast to liege waffles, yes, they have nutella too :') - this place has all the basic things you need for an amazing coffee break. While covering your vegan and gluten free needs with plenty of options. I will say, the gf waffles are the frozen toaster ones (which is totally fine because no kitchen so there's options for everyone!). Can't wait to try the liege waffles next! I have my eye on the mushroom and onion avocado toast but I can assure you the street corn chickpea stands pretty great on it's own. Expect tea and coffee bags and lots of goodies available for purchase with an awesome seating area just perfect for hanging out or doing some work while you sip and snack. OK. I never get lattes and the lavender latte possessed me and made me order it. On a hot day I never even said how I wanted it. Somehow someway, the awesome barista and owner KNEW to make it cold, and I'm SO glad I had this lavender iced latte EXPLODING with lavender. Not overly sweet, just right and fully natural. Basically it didn't taste like a fake lavender simple syrup combo. Oh, best part, milk options are endless. Oat and COCONUT are in the house. Of course, I got the coconut! You can order other great beverages like the pea lemonade (the pretty purple one!!) and other plant derived natural elixirs. Can't wait to try!
