At first, I was a little annoyed because there really wasn't anything available for $5 or less... but then my friend and I combined our credits and went with the chicken tacos and BBQ bacon ranch fries ($6 and I think $9, so $15 or only $5 out of pocket) and it was SO WORTH IT. The chicken tacos were light and refreshing on a super hot summer day. They were not overly filled so that it was hard to wrap them up, nor were they lacking in any toppings. The fries were spectacular. Again, they weren't globbed up with toppings but each fry had something on it; perfectly done. I hope they're at another event that I attend in the future!

The Mexican food is honestly the BEST in Poughkeepsie -- fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. I live in Miami Beach, and there's only one good Mexican spot near me, so finding this place was such a treat. The quality and authenticity here are on another level. The inside is really cute, warm, and inviting, and the patio is lovely when the weather is nice. Whether dining in or grabbing takeout, everything is consistently amazing. Service is beyond friendly and amazing! Absolutely one of my favorite spots in the area. Highly, highly recommend!

Generously filled, perfectly seasoned, and came with some great green (or red if you prefer) salsa on the side. The gentleman serving the taco was friendly and asked if I needed a fork with mine. It was authentic street taco style, served up on two corn tortillas with radish, cilantro, and onion. Highly recommend grabbing one after your hike, or even stopping by for a quick bite like I did. They're fresh, warm, crispy on the outside, and melt-in-your mouth on the inside, and they're full of cider flavor, rather than just spices. My only company is that they only sell them as single donuts and don't offer them by half dozen or dozen. That hasn't stopped me from bringing my own Tupperware though!
