Our first time at Cold Spring Coffee house. Decided to try a new syrup flavor a mocha raspberry. It was gross I could not finish it. You can see the small cup size it was so sweet and over powering they had to put more than two pumps of syrup that that cup required My husband got a black iced coffee which he enjoyed. My daughter and I were on our way to a family birthday party and it seemed like caffeine was the right idea. Cold Spring is packed on a fall Sunday. The coffee shop was crowded but service was professional and moved as quickly as possible. We were taking it to go but I noticed nice seating options. This place was so great! I'm so glad I stopped here. I was in the area and was looking for a bakery. I ordered a macchiato, brownies and oat bars. Everything was delicious and flavorful. I can't wait to stop back in here to try more of their drinks and food. This coffeehouse is cozy and has indoor seating. It was empty when I arrived, and by the time I left it was very crowded. I would recommend stopping in though, if you're in the area. It's definitely a popular spot and conveniently located right on the main street of Cold Spring. read more

We decided to stop by here during our day trip to Cold Spring. There was a bit of a line and we had to wait ~15 minutes to order. I got one of the seasonal drinks (the Apple Chai); it was decent, but nothing really special. I did really enjoy the pastries I got -- I tried the goat cheese and honey danish and the egg cruffin. I wanted to try some of the other pastries because they looked really good! This place is good to check out if you're looking to have some good pastries and grab a drink! Also, there is a spacious back area with a good number of seats. I would recommend taking some time to sit back here and enjoy the weather while it's still warm. read more

Stopped in for coffee before a hike. Service was fast & extra friendly. Unlike some of the restaurants in town that were empty on this gloomy Wednesday afternoon, the tables here were full of patrons enjoying the cozy vibes. I requested oat milk for my coffee since only regular milks were at the condiment station it was readily provided with a smile. The brew was rich and got me through the days chilly adventure. I was in Cold Spring for work when I suddenly felt a thirst. I had always heard that the village had a lot of cute shops and restaurants which makes it somewhat of a weekend getaway for NYC residents. That being said, I drove down the main strip on my way back down south in search for reprieve. Cold Spring Coffeehouse seemed like it would hit the spot, and the great Yelp reviews seemed to confirm that - so off I went. CSC is located on Main Street which is pretty much the commercial heart of Cold Spring; it fits perfectly with all the other shops and eateries on this block. Walking in, I was greeted by the standard coffeehouse vibes - soft music playing, art on the walls, and patrons sitting at tables sipping and working on their laptops. Their menu has the standard coffeehouse selections; one of the highlights outside of beverages is a decent variety of baked goods. I decided to bypass the bakes and went straight into the coffee. I ordered a cold brew which was quite good - it was smooth and just bold enough with the proper bite. Service was fast and friendly - there's not much more to say other than Cold Spring Coffeehouse cool spot that offers a solid selection of beverages and baked goods. If I was in the area again I would definitely return here for another beverage - and maybe a bake ;-). read more

the coffee is always really good here and the in house baked goods are delicious. We came in here after a drive in from the city and it seems to be the only place the get a cup of coffee. Alot of the businesses are closing down which really sucks but hopefully nice ones will take their place. It seems to be a quiet place to catch up on things but theres not alot of seating. It was packed with a long line and the staff was very hard working and got through orders quickly on Saturday afternoon. Loved the coquito latte. Freshly made donut was a little dry but there were lots of alternative milk options and coffee options. Great spot! read more

I love that when I ask for an iced double espresso with oat milk, they don't say, "You mean iced latte?" The barista left out extra milk if I needed some, but I barely had to add any because he poured the perfect amount. Their French onion danish was incredibly good. I came in on what had to have been the hottest and muggiest day of the summer so far, and this was only at 10:30 am. The place was packed with young adults who had taken the train up from the City. Most of the seating was already occupied and there were incredibly long lines, both for the counter and for the one all-gender restroom. Despite the fact that Cold Spring Coffeehouse is the only coffee shop on Main Street (you could get a cup of coffee and a croissant inside Paulette, a posh French boutique, or while enjoying a more casual meal at cafes like Angie's or The Foundry Rose) it's a cute place that I imagine could be a great venue for some live acoustic music or open mic poetry when not so crowded--or am I remembering coffeehouses of the 90s just a bit too fondly? The staff at the counter were pleasant while taking my order: one person working the register and one barista. And the fact that they were fulfilling so many orders and got each right says a lot, but I suspect that's due to the fact that they posted printed order tickets consecutively on an order ticket holder. Sometimes old tech is more efficient. Unfortunately, I've been to other coffee shops that don't have a good system and mess up orders. Not Cold Spring Coffeehouse. Well-deserved tip went in jar. The iced London Fog was ok. It tasted like a pre-brewed lavender Earl Grey with some milk thrown in. I was expecting the little bit of sugar from lavender syrup; alas, it was not there. I gulped my beverage down, however, while standing in line for the restroom and trying to cool down from the heat outside. It wasn't very cool inside, but not many places along Main Street are on a sweltering day, I came to discover. The pastries all looked very good and were selling out quickly. If day trips take me to Cold Spring again, I'll be sure to stop by and try one. read more

This place is everything! Absolutely in LooooOoOoOoOoove with the whole menu and the pastries. Right in the heart of cold spring, this little coffee house has the best croissants (even vegan ones available) and the most amazing coffee. At the moment due to covid they're only doing takeout. It's so easy to do right through a cute little window and ordering is fast and easy. The almond croissant was my favorite but then again so was the everything but the bagel with cream cheese. Sooooooooo goood!!! There's little chairs outside in case you want to drink your coffee at the spot otherwise you could totally walk to the benches with the gorgeous view just a few steps away. Bottom line, can't wait to come here when you can get the full experience. In the meantime, it's a b s o l u t e l y worth IT. Croissants are out of this world. read more

Cashiers were SO RUDE! I've never had such a horrible experience at a coffee shop. We purchased two thermal cups as souvenirs, and the store had a sign saying "Free coffee with purchase of cup." The first cashier tried to charge us for our coffees even though we told her about the sign, and the second cashier said "why would we give you free coffees? We don't even know you." We also purchased two pastries and the second cashier then said "those aren't free." The cashiers were two girls who looked to be around middle or high school and clearly did not know how to be polite/professional. Never coming back again read more

I came in on a Saturday morning just after 10am. It was a bit crowded, and there was a line when I arrived. That never changed as people kept shuffling in and out the entire time I was there. I really wanted to love this place, because I 'm all about supporting local coffee shops - but I was really disappointed. I think my unpleasant encounter with the cashier really ruined my entire experience. The cashier was inattentive - not just towards me, but towards everyone who came in and out. Like I mentioned, there was a constant line of 4-5 people the entire time I was there, plus folks waiting for their orders. There were only 2 people at the counter, one taking orders, one making drinks. The cashier took what sounded like a personal call on a cell phone, turning away from the counter, while there was a long line of people waiting, without a word to us or her coworker that she had to step away. I found this kind of rude towards us, and very disrespectful to her coworker, who seemed to be swamped with drink orders. Later, while I was waiting for my drinks, the line had really backed up with people lined up to the door. But the cashier decided it would be a good time to step away from the register to help a non-paying woman put out flyers in the dining room? That just seemed like a horrible decision, again, not telling the people in line or her coworker that she was stepping away. I felt really bad for the barista making drinks. I've worked many barista and bartending jobs over the years and his entire encounter left a really bad impression on me. For service, based on the cashier alone, and my interactions with her, I'd give this place a 1/5. Unfortunately, the drinks were pretty bland and overall quite disappointing. My lavender oat latte tasted mostly like Oatly. There was only a hint of bitterness from the espresso, and definitely no sign of lavender anywhere. The chai latte (this is almost always made from concentrate, hard to mess up) tasted extremely bland, again, mostly of milk. I'm not sure if the cashier was qualified to make drinks, but because the one barista was making all the drinks, and backed up, my drinks took quite a while. I don't blame her, but the shop should be better staffed or prepared for weekend morning rushes like this. the barista seemed very unhappy, which I honestly agree with, if I had to deal with a coworker who wasn't paying attention, or helping. 1/5 again here. The only saving grace was that the pastries were to die for. I got a prosciutto and gruyere croissant, and an egg and cheese pretzel. The croissant was an intense, delicious blend of buttery, flakey, and savory. I would come back just for the croissant. Nothing to be said here except, 5/5 for the baked items I tried. Everything else in the display honestly looked delicious, and I'd definitely come back to try them. But I'd skip the drinks next time. read more

Living here for more than a year now. I've come to really love this coffeehouse , that was in the beginning. The only peeve is depending on who makes your coffee you get bland drinks that taste more sweet than having actual coffee in it. I always tip and should just stop at this point . Just got a iced coffee that was definitely weak on the shots. Which is half the time. I always know if my drink will be good by looking at the color. Aly - Mocha latte / Almond milk (Decaf) 10/10: "Very nice and Dark chocolatey, exactly what I crave from a mocha, the milk was steamed amazingly just as a latte should be but how many cafes fail to do. Not too foamy, just perfect" sophia - Iced Chai latte / Oat milk 10/10 "Very delectable cinnamon flavor, nice oat milk." Amelia - Cortado / Oat milk 9/10 "Very fire beans, roasted to my liking." Bonus drink (tasted by Aly and Sophia) Iced / Maple Latte / Almond milk - 7/10 we both just weren't big fans of the maple, but if you like maple i'm sure this would be a GREAT choice for you ;) Food: Sophia - Chocolate croissant "Perfectly flakey and nice chocolate." Amelia - veggie pesto pasta salad "That was so yum, the broccoli was perfect." we initially came here because we saw online through yelp and Facebook that they sometimes offer vegan croissants of ALL different flavors. However we were a little disappointed when we arrived and they didn't have any this day. we will definitely be back and have to be on the lookout for when they do serve these what look to be delectable vegan croissants. I visit Cold Spring often because my family lives there and around it. One of my favorite things when I come to visit from AZ is to walk the shops and enjoy a peaceful morning. The coffeehouse definitely encompasses that for me. You can get a chocolate croissant (which is amazing) with a chia latte and sit and people watch from one of the tables out front. Found this place as a minor pit stop on our way up North.....Ummmm let me just say Outstanding!!! I love small local coffee shops....went in for coffee, came out with goodies galore....everything we ate was great, coffee was great but the prize was the Focaccia bread.....WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!....i love this bread but this coffee shop exceeded my expectations by a landslide. I mean it was like clouds stuffed between 2 layers of crust. I actually went in for a second round and while speaking with the lady behind the counter was introduced to the baker behind this edible goodness. BEST PLACE TO GET COFFEE! Get yourself a cup of coffee with almond milk and maple syrup. It was to absolutely so smooth and not burnt tasting at all! My boyfriend loves coffee (and I don't) and he always needs one to start his day, so me trying it and finishing it says a lot!! Now the treats, oh my gosh I never thought I'd like a scone... but that was absolutely amazing. It was a prefect sweet and savory ratio. The Rosemary was not overpowering at all, and the scone inside wasn't dry but a perfectly crumbly moisture. The vegan tahini chocolate chip cookie was SO DELICIOUS! It was SO soft inside, it had the cookie dough texture but not raw at all. It tasted like halva candy if you've ever had it. The tahini really made it prefect. A very pleasant experience. I can't remember the last time I had a vegan chocolate croissant, let alone one that tasted as good as it did here. I got a cold brew with oat and it was bold and crisp in all the right ways. The mrs got a latte and we sat at the table out front in the warm air watching the people walk by and the dogs jauntily skip down the street. My boyfriend ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk & his friend ordered a golden latte and a shot of espresso on the side! Both of them seemed pleased with their drinks! I tried my boyfriend's latte & it was so sweet & creamy! I went up & ordered my latte. First I got the coconut dulce de leche & I was so excited! However, it just sadly wasn't for me :( I kindly let them know & without hesitation they replaced it for me with a mocha latte with oat. I felt really bad because I'm not usually the type to ask for replacements but it just wasn't I personally liked. I'm sure others would enjoy it though! The price range is about the same as in New York City - I'd expected less but maybe it's the norm in Cold Spring. There are ample seating inside and it would be a nice place to cozy up with friends.
