They serve tasty Argenitain-style empanadas including beef, chicken, and spinach. My favorite was the beef. They also have great dessert cakes such as chocolate cake, tiramisu, and tres leches. Stoped in for a morning coffee and being pleasantly surprised by the assortment, of home baked goods and delicious coffee and tea carefully made in the old world style. Cute little Argentinian spot for coffee, desserts and empanadas. We wanted to try the beef empanadas, but they were sold out at that point. We did try the chicken. The filling was very good, however, the dough was a bit dry and bland. We also tried the tres leches cake which was perfectly delicious...not overly sweet or overly wet. Surprisingly, they offered carrot cake and since it looked good we tried it, too, and it was moist and delicious with real cream cheese frosting. They do offer a bathroom for customers which is a rare thing for small businesses in Cold Spring. read more

This is the coziest spot you will find in Cold Spring! Before even visiting, we already knew we wanted to stop by this little gem after getting many recommendations. This is a family owned business and you could tell that the owners put in a ton of work to make it very cozy and attractive to local and tourist customers. First and foremost, the empanadas were pretty delicious. I had a broccoli empanada and a chicken empanada and both were pretty good. They were not mind blowing or anything but delicious as a snack. I sat outside and the owner came to make sure the heaters were at a nice warm level. I also took note of all of the fall decorations that they had. Argentino is a very cute bakery/cafe with lots of options. We stopped in quickly for the empanadas. They were pretty good and filling! We will say though we it could've been crispier - these tasted like they were baked. Nonetheless, the shell was decently crunchy. The spinach one is surprisingly the best. Unexpected surprise to find this hidden gem in Cold Spring, NY. Delicious empanadas made by Ramona and Marco. We tried both the meat and spinach and found them as good as the ones we had in restaurants in Buenos Aires. Marco and Ramona are very pleasant and a joy to chat with. We could have talked for hours and probably shared some mate, well at least when this covid comes to an end. Definitely will visit them again, Ramona even shared some of her recipe tips with us since my wife makes empanadas at home. Well worth the trip from Jersey. We went towards the end of their hours, so they ran out of empanadas, but we got the apricot croissant and the toasted almond to save as dessert after our dinner at another place. I wish there was more apricot filling in the croissant, and that the pastry was more buttery/flaky. Cutest little restaurant with great food!! Popped in here after seeing a sign outside for empanadas. They have a few different flavors- broccoli, corn, beef, and chicken but they only had beef and broccoli by the time we came. I ordered one beef, one broccoli, and one tree leche. The empanadas were so flaky and buttery with a great filling. I definitely recommend both. I never had Argentinean empanadas so I didn't know what to expect. I was just excited to see something different than the usual Mexican food I see all over. Came in after exploring the cute town of Cold Spring. I kept it simple, a chicken and beef empanada with a lemonade. The place is really cozy. Really cute, small but not that small. Wooden furniture, cute window seating and just an over all adorable spot. They sell coffee and icecream to the left and the empanadas and desserts are towards the center. The staff was really friendly. The male which I'm not sure if he was the owner or not was really attentive and pleasant. Okay so the food. Like I said earlier I didn't know what to expect. Both empanadas were really good but I had no clue they have hard boiled eggs cut up in the filling of both. It was unexpected but not bad. One thing I also noticed was the meat on both were spicy. It was a kick of spice and if your'e not expecting it, it can be overwhelming. My mouth was burning a bit even afterwards. Thank goodness I got the lemonade which was really good. I think it was real lemonade not the powder type because it had a tart taste to it. It was a really nice place and the food was good. First of all, this cafe is so cute and cozy. The owners are so friendly and accommodating. Empanadas were delish, we tried the spinach, chicken, and broccoli. Flan has the perfect texture. I would like it to be a bit more eggy, but that's a personal preference. Minstrone soup was nice and savory with all the flavors there. Pumpkin soup was warming and sweet. I would normally prefer a tiny bit more salt less sugar kind of pumpkin soup but I still enjoyed this one a lot. Macchiato was authentic. Served in a little cup and strong like it was meant to be. Double shot of espresso was smooth and strong as well. Everything was clearly made from fresh ingredients and you can taste the difference. It's a nice change from eating Burger King at lunch back in the city on the weekdays. I will always come back here anytime I am in Cold Springs. It's literally only like a 2 minute walk from the Metro North station. If I lived here, i might as well work here part-time. read more

I went there after a hike with the wife in nearby Breakneck Ridge heading towards the ice cream store on the corner. I wanted a little more than ice cream and this place not only had lemonade out on the sidewalk-which is what initially drew me to stop but we walked into the shop to find they had sandwiches and pastries. They all looked pretty good but what the DID have were empanadas! We ordered the empanadas and were told it would take a little while to warm up so we asked if we could buy some lemonade instead but the owner said we could wait outside and drink the lemonade they had outside. We ended up getting one beef empanada and a spinach one. We finished that, drank some more lemonade and cider-oh yeah, they had cider there too. We both looked at each other and knew we were going to get another one. I got another beef one and the wife got the spinach, just as good as the first ones I had. One of the cutest cafes I've ever been to with a really fun selection of desserts. I was tempted by the flan, almond cake, and croissants and honey (which my friend got and was delicious), but I ended up getting the coconut icecream.
