A group of us were exploring Cold Spring on a perfect Sunday afternoon, the few of in front of our group stopped to wait for the stranglers. Sitting on a bench outside, on the spur of the moment we decided to have some fresh lemonade and a beef empanada; one of the best decisions we made. The beef empanada was delicious and the lemonade refreshing. The empanada was filled with ground beef, chopped olives with just the right amount of piquancy. There's a little covered garden next to the restaurant and a couple of rustic tables and seats outside. The prices reasonable and the owners are very pleasant. If you're in Cold Spring try it out. The best quick bite in Cold Spring!! Got some empanadas and desserts for lunch (I got beef empanada and a toasted coconut cake, and an Alfajor, my friend got a corn empanada and an apple turnover). Very hard to give a rating, since it's probably 3.5 stars. We came here after our hike, maybe at around 4. It was super hot during this day, and even hotter inside the store. Actually, now that I think about my experience inside this store, I'm definitely going to give 3 stars. YEAH, what the hell, it was like a sauna in here while waiting for the ice cream. I wish these guys would install some sort of air conditioning, since it would make everyone's experience waiting in line much much better. As for the ice cream itself... well, it's nice. I got the strawberry or something like that, while my friends got the raspberry or something like that. The ice cream is good, and a reasonable price, so I enjoyed that. But yeah, please get an AC or something, especially since i had to wait like 15 minutes in line. read more

We tired all the empanadas and all taste yummy. The outer shell is crispy while the spinach is creamy, the beef, chicken, corn all taste good. The desserts there are just wonderful especially the Argentina specialty ones. read more

This is a cute little bakery, and if your in the mood for a baked good definitely go here, they have sweet and savory options. I underestimated the spinach empanada and it was delicious and actually preferred it over the meat empanada, definitely a must try! read more

Don't know how I haven't been here before, but this place is awesome! We were looking for gelato and passed by looking for parking when my husband noticed the giant ice cream cone outside so we decided to stop in! Turns out they had GREAT gelato and they also make excellent empanadas and pastries too! We'd just had dinner and they were getting ready to close and were sold out of their empanadas so I plan to be back to try them! SUCH nice people, he even handed me his card and told me I could always call ahead before I stopped in for his empanadas. Went home to find his Facebook page and found the most incredible details about how he started his business and how everything made out of work and the renovation of his place was done by his own two hands. Had hot chocolate and chocolate cake. It was a nice find on a Sunday evening when many other places had closed. The owners were very friendly and their son was playing the piano. I loved the outside seating area- made me feel like I was in. Christmas movie. Would go again! Only issue is there is no bathroom for the public. read more

Talk about a gem found on Main Street?! My friend and I first stopped here to get the lay of the land and we were fortunate to get the friendly owner's advice and great suggestions: what were the best trails, magnificent Churches to visit and so much more. He also topped this by giving me a beautiful map. My friend and I promised to stop back before hopping on our SeaStreak boat return trip to NYC. I'm glad we did: this cafe has a potpourri of delicious home made mini pastries: strudel, rugelach, red velvet yummies and other delicious eye candy. I tried the strudel and rugelach and topped it off with a cup of rich creamy delicious hot chocolate. Que Rico! Found ourselves in Cold Spring on a warm summer Saturday after a day at Dia:Beacon looking for a couple of small bites to eat. SO thrilled to have stumbled upon Rincon Argentino: a small charming cafe on the river-side of Main St. run by the nicest couple ever. We got an assortment of snacks as we were rushing to catch the train, and everything was WOW. If we weren't in a time crunch, I would have doubled back for seconds. Absolutely get the empanadas if you're here: some of the best I've ever had. Don't miss it, especially the beef. There's only one thing better than the warm feeling of this place...and that's the empanadas. Soooo delicious. Chicken, beef, ham & cheese & corn are the ones we've had so far...I keep saying we'll try others but we have a hard time breaking away from our favs. Ok. Maybe there's a couple things up their with the ambiance. The coffee. Awesome. I just love this business, the feel of it, the food, the Owners...happy twould recommend it to anyone. ***Update*** Try the pistachio cake. Really friendly owners! This review is just for the coffee drinks on this trip. I'll update it when I get the chance to try some of the famous empanadas or something. Cappuccino and Mocaccino were simply subpar. I'm not sure if since it was very busy that they just didn't come out right, but there was no milk froth, no rich coffee or espresso taste, and very bland chocolate. I really like this authentic Latin American Restaurant, its a cute little cafe with an Argentinean flair. The owners are very sweet, they have a little of everything, empanadas, ice cream, coffee, and desserts. The decor/seating area inside and out is welcoming and cozy. Because it is a small place and it is in the heart of Cold Spring, the place can become packed in the summer and on weekends. I have come and found the line out the door, so I love coming here on the weekends and off season. Side note I believe they only make the empanadas on weekends and parking can be tricky so park on the main strip and take a nice walk to the train station/water. read more

Must Visit. I truly had a great experience at this restaurant; with their food and service. Visited this restaurant during Memorial Day weekend and purchased the Chicken Empanadas. They were fresh out the oven and were extremely delicious. Not only was the empanadas delicious, but the service was great. After some very bad experiences at several other restaurants in Cold Spring. It was a relief to feel welcomed at this location. I highly recommend the Chicken Empanadas and this restaurant.
