Go for the empanadas but stay for the tres leches! Rincon is a cozy Argentian cafe that reminds you of visiting your grandma's place. They serve tasty Argenitain-style empanadas including beef, chicken, and spinach. My favorite was the beef. They also have great dessert cakes such as chocolate cake, tiramisu, and tres leches. The tres leches cake was do die for and I would return to have this again. The only downside is that we did no like the latte at all. The service was also friendly and kind.

We happen upon this quaint little café blocks from the water. Stoped in for a morning coffee and being pleasantly surprised by the assortment, of home baked goods and delicious coffee and tea carefully made in the old world style. Completed with.steamed froth cream. We caught a good day to sit at one of the outdoor tables and take in gorgeous view of the mountains in the background. Reminiscent of coffee shops abroad, where you are served with porcelain mugs and plates rather than paper take away cups. Blocks away from the scenic Hudson.

Delicious mate iced tea and lemonade... yummy, fresh crust on the empanadas. The broccoli and cheese one was my fav. Adorable outdoor seating and close to the water. Would try the gelato next time. The owner is so kind and generous.

This is the coziest spot you will find in Cold Spring! Before even visiting, we already knew we wanted to stop by this little gem after getting many recommendations. When we arrived we were immediately welcomed with smiles. The place felt very homey and welcoming. We got the gelato and it was amazing! It took everything in us not to go back and get a second one. We will 100% be returning for the gelato and to try some of the other treats that looked just as good!

Empanadas are so good. They're seasoned very well. I got the beef empanada.The iced latte sort of tasted watered down. The service is very friendly and the ambiance is very nice and quiet, good for doing work. I'd come here again for more empanadas and a place to read!

This is a family owned business and you could tell that the owners put in a ton of work to make it very cozy and attractive to local and tourist customers. First and foremost, the empanadas were pretty delicious. I had a broccoli empanada and a chicken empanada and both were pretty good. They were not mind blowing or anything but delicious as a snack. I sat outside and the owner came to make sure the heaters were at a nice warm level. I also took note of all of the fall decorations that they had. If you're coming to Cold Spring for some nice fall vibes and pictures, this small little café has all of the Instagram worthy spots for you.

Argentino is a very cute bakery/cafe with lots of options. We stopped in quickly for the empanadas. They were pretty good and filling! We will say though we it could've been crispier - these tasted like they were baked. Nonetheless, the shell was decently crunchy. The spinach one is surprisingly the best. Just a heads up, for people who aren't used to it, there is hard boiled egg in the filling. Overall, cute location and definitely will have to try the other pastries!

Unexpected surprise to find this hidden gem in Cold Spring, NY. Delicious empanadas made by Ramona and Marco. We tried both the meat and spinach and found them as good as the ones we had in restaurants in Buenos Aires. Marco and Ramona are very pleasant and a joy to chat with. We could have talked for hours and probably shared some mate, well at least when this covid comes to an end. Definitely will visit them again, Ramona even shared some of her recipe tips with us since my wife makes empanadas at home. Well worth the trip from Jersey. We actually bought some extras to bring home but they didn't make it out of town as we ate them down by the river.

I don't think that I can put into words, on how this place actually makes me feel. Simply put, hospitable and courteous as well as welcoming. I'm from Argentina. This place has made me feel as If i were there at that moment. Sitting around with my family and enjoying a normal family and friend get together. The owners, Marco and his wife Ramona, welcome you into their store as if it was their own home. The empanadas are just like back at home. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Incredible experience! Went in for a coffee and saw the mouth-watering empanadas and decided to try one. We ended up coming back and purchasing a handful more because they were so incredible. The coffee was delicious and had great flavor. Awesome decor and the owners are extremely friendly. I cant wait to go back and try the gelato and other baked goods that looked fantastic! What a fantastic find!!! I spotted this cute cafe and had to stop in. It is such a neat place. Decorated with cool things from Argentina. I tried a few of their pastries! Delish! Their dulce de leche Alfajoles are amazing! We also had some small pumpkins cakes which were a taste of autumn, perfectly spiced and a delicious creamy coating. Their cupcakes were also delicious and very cute! I can't wait to go back and taste some of their other goodies. I'm so happy this place exists; do yourself a favor and stop in. read more

Stopped here during the fall foliage cruise, got a few empanadas to take back on the boat. Owner very personable, we had the beef, chicken, corn, spinach, broccoli. Definitely a place to try. read more

Charming little cafe. You will feel like you are in a village in Argentina. Owners are the sweetest couple. My daughter says their homemade apple juice is her favorite and the lemonade and pastries are mine. Definitely worth a stop. I hope they expand, absolutely love this little place. read more

Came here with my girlfriend after Breakneck. Nice decor, nice churros, and friendly owners. They've got nice cuias (yerba mate gourds) on display so don't be afraid to strike up a conversation about mate if it's your thing (or just plain curious). Will come again in warmer weather to try their ice creams. read more

Oh, my. Everything about this place is all kinds of wonderful. The empanadas are savory, and come in many different flavors. Today our group of 3 enjoyed sharing the beef (really different taste), chicken, spinach, veggie, and corn (!!) empanadas, fresh from the oven. Pastries of all kinds, several of them Argentinean - like tasty alfajores cookies, tempt you mightily. But today we shared the Italian limoncello cake - light, creamy, and not too sweet. Outdoor seating in the shade is lovely way to spend a meal. Go there. read more

My partner and I love coming to Cold Spring to get away from the city and enjoy the beautiful hiking in the area. We try new cafes and restaurants each time, but liked this place so much we've vowed to make it a stop each time we visit! We had an Americano, pumpkin gelato, and empanadas (only available Saturdays). Everything was good (I liked the empanada so much I bought another for the train ride home) and the couple who owns it were so friendly and helpful. Also, their bathroom was spotless which is saying something since the village is swarming with city folks looking to enjoy the fall foliage! It's the only truly clean bathroom that we saw today! read more

Went with a bunch of friends (mid-late 20s) after hiking Breakneck Ridge. Very cute cafe in Cold Springs. The town is beautiful. Perfect place to get ice cream or coffee and walk down to the river. Will definitely be returning. read more

Very cute little cafe; seems to be a family-run shop with little kids manning the bakery counter. We went in their for ice cream. Ordered the medium cones which in themselves are quite big in my opinion! We had the coconut flavor as well as the dulce de leche, banana stratiaccetella and the raspberry stratiaccetella. All of these flavors were great and decently priced ice cream. Good vibes! read more

So thrilled that I stopped in here for a quick dessert on a recent trip to Cold Spring, though next time I will make a point to come hungrier and get something more substantial! I had the absolute BEST tres leches cake I've ever had in my life. Seriously. I'm still thinking about it a week later. The owners were so lovely, and I'm looking forward to going back. Incredible Mate Cocido gelato!!!! Tastes just like the drink I brew at home. The lemonade they have outside is delicious too! We went after hiking breakneck on a Thursday so they didn't have the empanadas ( only on the weekends). Can't wait to try those next time! The coffee is also very good. Had the cappuccino and a dulce de leche alfajor. Excellent! Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

Absolutely love this cafe. Sat outside on a perfect autumn day and enjoyed a delicious cappuccino and alfajor. They were playing traditional Argentine music outside and I didn't want to leave. Having been in Argentina before, they have done a great job in capturing the essence of the culture. I give them five stars because of the ambiance, the food, and the owners were so genuinely nice and very accommodating. You can tell they put their all into this place. The only constructive criticism I can give them is improve the customer's paying experience, didn't go so smooth...although I was there on a very busy day so I'm sure that didn't help. Aside from that, it's truly a lovely cafe. Best of luck!! We'll be back! read more

My comment is in spanish, because I want all my people know well about this beautifull place: Rincon Argentino ha sido mi gran sorpresa en mi última visita a Cold Spring. Si esta villa necesitaba algo más para lo hermosa y unica que es, era esta maravillosa cafetería. Café, postres, empanadas y alfajores, son de lo mejor del sabor y el estilo tradicional argentino. Un capítulo aparte es la atención esmerada, amable, incomparable de Marco y su señora esposa, propietarios de Rincón Argentino. Mi raza, mi gente, si quieren pasarlo bien, saboreando algo realmente exquisito, pasen por allí. Ah, Marco me dijo que pronto (como no podía ser de otra manera) también tendrá churrascos, choripanes y otras carnes estilo argentino. Visited Cold Spring with a group of special needs students. After trying to get ice cream from other places (all closed-at 11:30 AM?) came upon this place. Owner could not have been more kind and accomodating to our group. Got absolutely delicious gelato for our students, and some affogato and cappuccino for the staff! Will most certainly return with family and friends and recommend to all! read more

There's always something new to discover. While I was there planning to visit the Italian Art Gallery nearby, I came across Cold Spring Coffee House and saw that it had great reviews, so I figured it would be the perfect place to start my day. Getting there: If you're coming from NYC, the Metro-North is super convenient. The coffee house is an easy walk from the Cold Spring train station, which makes it a great stop when spending the day exploring the town. Inside, the coffee house isn't overly decorated, but it has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. I wasn't a huge fan of how close together some of the tables were, but it was quiet enough to sit. They also have a few tables out front if you'd rather enjoy your coffee while taking in the charming street. But the real showstopper here is the pastry selection! With such a beautiful display of pastries, who needs extra decorations? There were so many tempting options that it was hard to choose, but I ultimately went with the Goat Cheese & Honey Danish and paired it with a medium coffee. Overall, I'm glad I added this stop to my Cold Spring adventure. I always enjoy spending time here, strolling through the town, popping into the different shops, and finding little spots like this along the way. It's a great place to grab a coffee and pastry before continuing to explore everything Cold Spring has to offer.

We were served quickly though and all of our drink orders were accurate. This location is clean but on the smaller side. Lots of team pride for Army (signs around cheering them on to beat Navy) which was fun. Not a bad Starbucks location if you're in the area and need your caffeine fix.

Their design printer doesn't work properly, and the picture on the cake was missing red (anger from inside out was yellow). I knew this ahead of time, but chose to do it anyway. The cupcake's icing was disgusting, and the flavor was probably from the food dye; almost a chemical taste. There's no way there was sugar in them. The vanilla and chocolate cupcakes were cooked properly, but the red velvet was overcooked and dry. The owner just opened a store in midtown Manhattan, and it seems that this store is an afterthought to her.

Very nice little cafe. The gelato was good and the pastry looked nice, but didn't try them. I had a cortado, and it was a little too strong.
