A few times a month, I make it my mission to take an adventure to Cold Spring. I really enjoy…read morecoming to Cold Spring, especially walking around and checking out all the cute shops. There's always something new to discover. While I was there planning to visit the Italian Art Gallery nearby, I came across Cold Spring Coffee House and saw that it had great reviews, so I figured it would be the perfect place to start my day. Getting there: If you're coming from NYC, the Metro-North is super convenient. The coffee house is an easy walk from the Cold Spring train station, which makes it a great stop when spending the day exploring the town. Inside, the coffee house isn't overly decorated, but it has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. I wasn't a huge fan of how close together some of the tables were, but it was quiet enough to sit. They also have a few tables out front if you'd rather enjoy your coffee while taking in the charming street. But the real showstopper here is the pastry selection! With such a beautiful display of pastries, who needs extra decorations? There were so many tempting options that it was hard to choose, but I ultimately went with the Goat Cheese & Honey Danish and paired it with a medium coffee. Overall, I'm glad I added this stop to my Cold Spring adventure. I always enjoy spending time here, strolling through the town, popping into the different shops, and finding little spots like this along the way. It's a great place to grab a coffee and pastry before continuing to explore everything Cold Spring has to offer.

There's something about charging $7.50 for a very small brown sugar boba tea that doesn't feel good. You can't adjust your sugar so it was pretty sweet even though they said there's no added sugar besides the brown sugar. Their drinks come in a cute container with a sealable lid but not leak proof. They have Roman pinsa flatbreads, pastries, beignets, and ice creams from local farms. On a Saturday afternoon the place was busy but like many of the places in Cold spring the line for the bathroom was easy longer than the one to order. They also sell some clothing like hoodies for $120 and Keychains for$14.95. Yes I would come back but only once in awhile.

They had chicken, beef and spinach empanadas for $4.50 each, all were good. You probably need at least two to feel filled. Their pastries also looked surprisingly appetizing especially the brownie ($4+) and slices of cake. They also had a case of gelato that didn't seem to be a popular choice on a fall day. They had a few tables inside want outside though most people seemed to take things to go. This review would have been a 5 if they hadn't forgotten about our empanada orders (bags were just sitting at the counter) while others had their names called promptly. The line moved quickly and there was a healthy number of customers. There's street parking but you might as well try the train station which is free on weekends and certain major holidays (not Columbus day).

I tried a bit of each and was pleased with the flavors and textures of everything. The cupcakes were soft, moist and perfectly flavored. I even liked the vanilla frosting (I am not a big vanilla frosting girl). I tasted vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, both had vanilla frosting. The brownies were a little thinner than I am used to but still gooey in the middle. I tried 2 flavors of cookie - sugar and oreo - both which were excellent and so soft and gooey. The sugar cookie was the underdog here and probably my favorite. Would order from here again for their delicious desserts! Online ordering was easy and my order was ready and waiting on arrival. Perfectly crispy on the outer edges with warm melty chocolate inside. It's been two weeks and I still think about it. We also tried their chocolate chip pecan scone and pumpkin spiced donut which were both pretty good but if I had to recommend one thing, it's that cookie.
