My family and I stopped in for breakfast before taking my son to summer camp. I usually order takeout from here, but this time we decided to dine in. We arrived early, so the restaurant wasn't crowded, and the service was quick and friendly. My kids ordered pancakes, my wife had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant, and I ordered eggs with sausage and home fries. The portions were generous, and we all left feeling full and satisfied. The food is consistently good, which is why we keep coming back. If you're looking for a reliable spot with hearty breakfast portions and friendly service, this place is definitely worth a visit. read more

The cutest place and amazing service. I had 2 bottles of O J!!! Everything was delicious!!!

I came here with a friend and her infant to catch up on a Monday morning. We found the cafe to be quite charming, reasonably priced, and with generous portions. She got French toast (delicious, thick, and eggy) and I got a turkey egg and cheese everything bagel which unexpectedly came with breakfast potatoes. My friend also got a chai latte while I got ice water which they generously refilled a few times. You order at the counter, and they bring your food out. The waitstaff were friendly and happy to answer our questions. I liked that there was a lot of seating and even an outdoor option. The interior was charming and deceptively large given that it looks old fashioned from the outside. I enjoyed the art on display as well. It's a great halfway point between Warwick and Suffern. read more

It gets crowded so go early. I had a latte coco and pistachio and nutella croissant. Very good . In summer I like their ginger lemonade. read more

This place is an absolute GEM! The vibes are amazing the staff make you feel extremely welcomed from the moment you step foot through the door. There is a reason they have signs up to kindly only stay 90 min. It's the type of place you go to and never want to leave. I had the avocado toast and it's huge! Not like a normal avo toast with only one slice, the salad is just perfection. The staff did not steer me wrong the entire time I was there. This place is everything I want to experience on a warm day in March. I went on a Wednesday and the place was packed. There is a reason! Cannot recommend this place enough! Definitely fresh and farm to table!!! read more

Very cozy atmosphere with good coffee and food. Their pastries are flaky, their breakfast sandwiches are hearty. They always get a cappuccino here and it is not too milky. If you eat in they use actual ceramic ware, which adds to the overall experience. The staff is friendly and efficient- great place overall! read more

My first time to Village Hands Cafe today. I pass it all the time, but I've never associated museum village with food. I am so glad I stopped. Sara and Taylor are great. I had the chorizo breakfast bowl and it hit the spot. Highly recommend this place. Great vibe, good food, nice people. read more

Visited on Saturday afternoon in July in hopes for their lavender latte (didn't see it on menu). Parking late started to quickly fill up and outside seatings were inviting. The interior decoration is a rustic barn-like room w/radnom art frames and plastic plants. Seats are low and the rooms is spacious. Staff immediately greeted us behind a counter w/see through fridge offering various pastries, sandwiches, juices, cakes, and tea leaves - most looked old. We ordered - Lavender latte - regular milk, no substitutions Mocha latte - iced w/ oat milk, no substitutions Cheese Danish - requested warm, crispy on outside, but dry on inside. Unfortunately, we asked for oat milk for lavender latte and regular milk for the iced mocha latte but they mistakenly swapped the milks in them. Thankfully the lavender latte was still good but the mocha latte w/oat milk did not. We waited over 20 mins for our cheese danish until I had to get up and ask for it along with letting them know the lattes were messed up. No apologetic attitude nor apologies received, and when I asked for the mocha replacement, it seemed like the exact same drink was served - same amount/ level, same ice, same exact taste - too obvious. Price to portion ratio are within standards. Hopefully the teenagers behind the counter will provide a better experience for others the future. read more

Ambiance: Rustic, homey, cozy. Great space to clear your mind or catch up on some work. They have movies playing on the wall which is so cute. They had Cinderella playing when we were there. 10/10 Food Lavender latte with oat milk: 9/10, coffee was strong but not overpowering the lavender flavor. Super delicious! Snickerdoodle latte with whole milk: 8.5/10, perfect sweetness with a touch of cinnamon. Apple turnover: 7/10, the pastry itself was flaky and butter and perfect amount of sweetness. Must get it warm! Everything bagel with walnut cream cheese: 5/10, walnut spread was super delicious. Bagel was hard and didn't taste as fresh as we would have liked read more

My last review was 5 years ago, so I felt the need to update it. Happy to report they now serve breakfast all day. Also, their new manager, Sarah, is wonderful! And the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful. I've eaten here several times in the past 5 months and have not been disappointed. read more

Finally found a place close to home that serves breakfast on Mondays...sounds weird but most places in Monroe are closed on Mondays. Now to the important parts: the food, service and decor. The food was tasty and had good portions. The service was good even tho you order at the front counter. The decor was nice, makes you feel like you are in a huge dining/ living room. I will definitely be back read more

We were hungry and passing through on our way to New York City. To our absolute delight, this place had delicious food and well-made coffee in a cozy, artistic setting: fresh and made to order. Since I discovered this cafe a few weeks ago I haven't stopped going or talking about it. It's my new favorite place unfortunately a little far from my house. The food is amazing and generous. Very fresh and I love the option of salad rather than potatoes with my breakfast. The cappuccinos are served in perfect sized cute cups with a sweet little spoon. The large wood burning stove makes it cozy and silent cartoons playing on the wall, what's not to love:) my friends had danish french toast which was delicious and worth falling off your diet for!! read more

Great food and the people are so nice! They let us sit in the back and we had a great time. Would definitely come again.

Unfortunately they lost that "gem" from great food and ambience to serving raw food ; and when asked to redo them they came back with another raw pancakes, this time more smelly and nasty looking. read more

I gave this cafe a poor review last year. I decided to go back recently to see if there was improvement. I think there is a new owner now. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Great service and food. They make a great cappuccino too! I'm glad I gave this place another chance! read more

Absolutely worth a visit! From the cappuccinos, to the rustic artsy vibe, every bit plays into the delicious experience. We ordered the Roasted Beet Salad, the Nova Platter on a Pumpernickel Bagel and a Turkey Club On 7 Grain -- everything tasted so fresh and was clearly put together with love. The two iced cappuccinos were absolutely divine, served in mason jars to add to the farm to table experience. The service was wonderful, the staff was available to answer our questions about the crystals with tiny succulents and the maple syrup for sale. This was definitely the culinary highlight of our road trip! read more

Charming little cafe restaurant in the beautiful Tuxedo area. Stopped there on the way to the Renn Faire. Friendly staff, excellent service, and most importantly to me, the food and drinks were superb. I consider myself something of a Reuben sandwich snob, and thought their version was exceptional. Highly recommend. read more

There were a lot of nice options on the menu for a small cafe, and the food was very fresh. Everone loved what they had. When we arrived the parking lot looked full, but there was plenty of seating, including outdoors, where we sat because it was such a beautiful day. Service was very friendly, and we were in and out in less than an hour. We even got coffee to go. We were very happy with our decision to stop here. It was a great option for lunch between Tuxedo and Wallkill. read more

The food is very good. The service can be quite slow at times, I don't think they have enough people working there and they're busy times. The ambience is absolutely adorable! I do find them to be extremely high priced, not a great value. read more
