This place is a hidden gem! The level and quality of food this place is putting out for a side of the road establishment in Tuxedo is crazy! The bahn mi was phenomenal. First off, it's huge. The roast pork was cooked with love and attention and then sliced up in this heavily sandwich. It is a packed sandwich and can be a little messy but it tasted so good I didn't even care. This could 100% be shared or bring home for a second helping later! The salmon bowl was cooked to perfection and had with a nice Teriyaki sauce. If I had one "compliant" it might be that there was a little too much sauce on the bowl, but it was delicious. There was plenty of space inside and outside under a roof. So it's available rain or shine! Most people may not be on this road if you're a frequent thruway goer but it's worth a detour on the backgrounds of Orange County for this gem! Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning before our hike. We arrived around 10:30 and there was already a line for ordering. You have to order first at the counter, they will ask how many people's in your party and will set up a table for you and they will bring the food to your table when it's ready. The menu is expansive and a little overwhelming at first. I chose to try the HeiHei loco moco and it was a big disappointment. The rice seemed like it's one of those microwaveable rice. They were soggy and lumped together. I wish they just used normal gravy instead of trying hard to make it Asian inspired because the hoisin gravy just didn't work. Loco moco was supposed to be a hearty dish and I found the gravy to be too sweet. The chicken burger just tasted weird and didn't look appetizing. I even questioned whether it's fully cooked at one point. Their London fog was also a disappointment. It was mostly milk and I could hardly taste the earl gray. It seemed like they did not steep the tea long enough before adding the milk. Besides my disappointing meal, my kids ordered fried chicken Mac and cheese to share and I found their fried chicken nicely fried, juicy and moist. The Mac and cheese was really cheesy and my kids enjoyed it very much. My husband ordered their French toast. Although I didn't try it, he said it was thick and fluffy. Their portion size is big and price is very reasonable. Almost like pre Covid pricing which is rare nowadays. My recommendation is to stick with traditional brunch items and stay away from any Asian inspired dishes. read more

I visited Dottie Audrey's Bakery Kitchen for breakfast on a Saturday. It is actually a very large restaurant, they take up most of the building. The dining area feels like an eat-in-kitchen at someone's house. You place your order at the registers, which are located by the main entrance all the way on the left. Then the cashier rings you up, and tells you the name of your table. Service was extremely fast, our coffee orders got to the table before we did. And in less than 10 minutes, our food arrived at the table.I got the St. Andrean Breakfast which had two eggs, Colcannon Cake, Irish Bacon, mustard sauce, bread & greens. The food was freshly prepared, well seasoned, and delicious. I also really liked the fries which were hot and crispy. My wife's omelet was also delicious with tons of cheese. The staff was quick, polite, and friendly. I wish I had had cash cuz there was no option to tip on the card at the register. I've been a big fan of this place for over 10 years! We always bring friends here when they visit and recommend it all the time. The staff are always so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind -- it's one of those places that just feels good to come back to. On our last visit for breakfast (which was great, as usual), I noticed Fish and Chips on the menu and got super excited. We even made a special trip back just to try it! Sadly, it was a big letdown. We were hoping for something close to the real deal like we've had in England, but it ended up tasting more like a kids' meal -- more frozen fish sticks than classic Fish and Chips. That said, we still love this place and will absolutely keep coming back. Everything else we've had here has been fantastic, and it's still one of our favorite spots to bring friends. Dottie's offers a wide ranging menu, yummy baked goods and they've created a good system to what could be a lot of chaos with the ordering and seating. Pretty sure that most people will find something they like here. They have hearty breakfast items with eggs, sandwiches, soups, bowls and more. I particularly like their vegan bowls and we often get the chicken and waffles. I don't think the subs are all that special. Their brownies are large and fudgy...my favorite combo. Once you order, they either put a sign by your table in one of the rooms or you take the sign and find a spot. I like this approach because the line can go out the door during nice summer and spring days. However once you do reach the counter you can get seated almost immediately (indoors or outdoors). Not sure how that works! Not really a cheap place but I have really enjoyed the meals. I always seem to have to wait to use the bathroom which is a little annoying but that's not their fault. Service has been very nice and you always seem able to flag someone down. Their decorations are eclectic and antique looking, and very down to earth. It can get loud in there on busy weekend days. This place is one of the cutest spots in upstate NY! I've been going here for years and I have never been disappointed. The lattes are a amazing and they always create new seasonal drinks. Really enjoyed breakfast here. They have a lot of tables both inside and outside. We didn't know before coming - you wait in line and order/pay at the counter before sitting. While you're in line you stare at the fresh baked goods so obviously we took one to go (oatmeal cream pie- fresh and delicious). We had the French toast, chocolate chip pancakes, the sausage gravy baguette, and a bacon egg and cheese. We also had a hot caramel latte, iced caramel latte, and toasted coconut steamer with an espresso shot. The food was all very good and fresh. The butter that goes on the pancakes and French toast is a homemade cinnamon butter that was amazing. They were both very good. The sausage gravy baguette was amazing would definitely get that again (gone before pic lol). It was pricey but all good quality stuff. We'd probably pass on the lattes next time- they all lacked flavor.
