This place is a hidden gem! The level and quality of food this place is putting out for a side of the road establishment in Tuxedo is crazy! The bahn mi was phenomenal. First off, it's huge. The roast pork was cooked with love and attention and then sliced up in this heavily sandwich. It is a packed sandwich and can be a little messy but it tasted so good I didn't even care. This could 100% be shared or bring home for a second helping later! The salmon bowl was cooked to perfection and had with a nice Teriyaki sauce. If I had one "compliant" it might be that there was a little too much sauce on the bowl, but it was delicious. There was plenty of space inside and outside under a roof. So it's available rain or shine! Most people may not be on this road if you're a frequent thruway goer but it's worth a detour on the backgrounds of Orange County for this gem! Can't wait to get back there to try the baked goods!
Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning before our hike. We arrived around 10:30 and there was already a line for ordering. You have to order first at the counter, they will ask how many people's in your party and will set up a table for you and they will bring the food to your table when it's ready. The menu is expansive and a little overwhelming at first. I chose to try the HeiHei loco moco and it was a big disappointment. The rice seemed like it's one of those microwaveable rice. They were soggy and lumped together. I wish they just used normal gravy instead of trying hard to make it Asian inspired because the hoisin gravy just didn't work. Loco moco was supposed to be a hearty dish and I found the gravy to be too sweet. The chicken burger just tasted weird and didn't look appetizing. I even questioned whether it's fully cooked at one point. Their London fog was also a disappointment. It was mostly milk and I could hardly taste the earl gray. It seemed like they did not steep the tea long enough before adding the milk. Besides my disappointing meal, my kids ordered fried chicken Mac and cheese to share and I found their fried chicken nicely fried, juicy and moist. The Mac and cheese was really cheesy and my kids enjoyed it very much. My husband ordered their French toast. Although I didn't try it, he said it was thick and fluffy. Their portion size is big and price is very reasonable. Almost like pre Covid pricing which is rare nowadays. My recommendation is to stick with traditional brunch items and stay away from any Asian inspired dishes.
Place is cute and has that colonial feel about it. Bakery selection is incredible and the food is amazing. Good size portions for the price. Two disappointments for me was they don't have red Tabasco or real Hot sauce for a breakfast dish. Second thing was the staff was not very friendly. Maybe they were just having a bad day??? Would I recommend this place "definitely " because the food is amazing.
Absolutely LOVED this place. I have food allergies, so it can be a challenge finding restaurants that can accommodate. I was easily able to find food I could eat, and it was sooo good. Also had the BEST cookie I've ever eaten, and it was GF and vegan! Super cute bakery, very cozy. We live in FL, so won't be back anytime soon, but would love to come again!
I visited Dottie Audrey's Bakery Kitchen for breakfast on a Saturday. It is actually a very large restaurant, they take up most of the building. The dining area feels like an eat-in-kitchen at someone's house. You place your order at the registers, which are located by the main entrance all the way on the left. Then the cashier rings you up, and tells you the name of your table. Service was extremely fast, our coffee orders got to the table before we did. And in less than 10 minutes, our food arrived at the table.I got the St. Andrean Breakfast which had two eggs, Colcannon Cake, Irish Bacon, mustard sauce, bread & greens. The food was freshly prepared, well seasoned, and delicious. I also really liked the fries which were hot and crispy. My wife's omelet was also delicious with tons of cheese. The staff was quick, polite, and friendly. I wish I had had cash cuz there was no option to tip on the card at the register. I would definitely return, the mac and cheese bowls i saw looked delicious!

The staff are always so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind -- it's one of those places that just feels good to come back to. On our last visit for breakfast (which was great, as usual), I noticed Fish and Chips on the menu and got super excited. We even made a special trip back just to try it! Sadly, it was a big letdown. We were hoping for something close to the real deal like we've had in England, but it ended up tasting more like a kids' meal -- more frozen fish sticks than classic Fish and Chips. That said, we still love this place and will absolutely keep coming back. Everything else we've had here has been fantastic, and it's still one of our favorite spots to bring friends. I'd just say skip the Fish and Chips... unless it's for the kiddos.

We talk about what we will order as we hike and then we rush over full of sweat and hunger. The Salmon Bowl has become an absolute favorite. All the baked goods, especially the crumb cake, are great splurges, but this salmon bowl is so satisfying and has a blend of complex flavors from the wasabi tomato jam to the gorgeous farro and fresh spinach. The salmon is always perfectly cooked. The vibe is friendly. The service is easy and great. Can't wait to keep coming back again and again.
I've been here enough to feel good changing my review for the better. Dottie's offers a wide ranging menu, yummy baked goods and they've created a good system to what could be a lot of chaos with the ordering and seating. Pretty sure that most people will find something they like here. They have hearty breakfast items with eggs, sandwiches, soups, bowls and more. I particularly like their vegan bowls and we often get the chicken and waffles. I don't think the subs are all that special. Their brownies are large and fudgy...my favorite combo. Once you order, they either put a sign by your table in one of the rooms or you take the sign and find a spot. I like this approach because the line can go out the door during nice summer and spring days. However once you do reach the counter you can get seated almost immediately (indoors or outdoors). Not sure how that works! Not really a cheap place but I have really enjoyed the meals. I always seem to have to wait to use the bathroom which is a little annoying but that's not their fault. Service has been very nice and you always seem able to flag someone down. Their decorations are eclectic and antique looking, and very down to earth. It can get loud in there on busy weekend days. Not much else in this Plaza but we always come when we're in the area!

There are gluten free selections available in both the bakery case and also the main menu. The restaurant is huge, so don't feel deterred if the first room is full. There are two more! This was an easy detour off the thruway and we would absolutely go back.
Went in randomly on our way upstate. Def expect a line but it moves quick enough. You have to order before sitting but once you order, the food comes out pretty quickly. Would recommend, food was delicious and there were so many options!
I ordered Apple Cider donut, French onion soup and Reuben Corn beef Sandwich. Savory, tasty, juicy, yummy. Love this kind of food in the middle of nowhere for me. Ladies at the counter very sweet and fast delivering food to table. Thanks!!!
Stopped here for breakfast with my father and sister early on a Sunday AM. We grabbed a table outside and ordered. Our food came out quickly. The lox, scallion, and avocado omelet was great. My sister and father enjoyed their ham and cheese omelet and shakshuka. It was a little odd that they didn't make poached eggs. Shakshuka is typically made with eggs poached in sauce. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will be back !

Such a cute spot with plenty of seating inside, plus a really nice outdoor patio overlooking the woods. It's a great atmosphere if you want to sit and relax while enjoying your food. You order at the counter and they give you a table card so the staff can bring your food and drinks right to your table. The wait staff was super friendly and our food came out really quickly. I had the spicy BLT with an iced green tea, and both were really good. read more

Such amazing food!! So hard to not order everything at once!! The biscuits and chowder were something I still dream about today and totally worth the 35+ minute wait outside in the cold. Pancakes were gigantic and super fluffy. The staff is friendly and very attentive. It's a busy place so it's not uncommon for small things like more napkins or an extra plate to be forgotten accidentally - and I appreciate the apologies when it's realized. The ambiance is cozy and homey and I'm genuinely upset that I don't live closer to come here every single weekend. read more

We stumbled upon this place years ago and loved it. Came back again to try and it still doesn't disappoint. We ordered: - Shakshouka - buttermilk fried chicken and chips - all their cookies to try - and a bunch of pastries The shakshouka had some heat to it! Wow. We decided to stop by while we were visiting the area, and so glad we did. This place has a diverse menu. The baked goods were fresh and delicious. We had an amazing experience. Order and pay inside and then server brings your food right away. Food was delicious, we ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant and a cafe latte, and for dessert a chocolate chip cookie. The food is always so fresh and tasty. When you go in, you'll smell the fresh baked cookies. The staff are super friendly. Not close in our neighborhood, but we always drop by when we are going up. And it never disappoints us. The restaurant is simple, but you get the warmth. The homemade drinks are great!! read more
This place never disappoints. Today I was lucky enough to not have to make a line. Weekends is always busy and they're always long lines but today for some reason it was comfortable so I came in and sat down and enjoyed a delicious fried egg mushroom, and Gruyère cheese in a fresh made brioche. A not so hidden gem. I definitely love this place. I love the menu which provides something for everyone. There are vegetarian and gluten free options. The desserts are even vegan if you choose. Dogs are welcome and in the warmer weather the dogs enjoy the outdoor seating and dog treats available to them. Service is always friendly and accommodating. There is plenty of parking. read more

This place is one of the cutest spots in upstate NY! I've been going here for years and I have never been disappointed. The lattes are a amazing and they always create new seasonal drinks. Make sure you get a drink with caramel because it's homemade and is so good. The food ranges from breakfast to dinner. So many options and tons of vegan / plant based foods. I love there chicken Mac & Cheese it's a favorite. Also there French toast is huge! It's comes with a homemade sweet butter and bacon. I would say all of their food portions are pretty big so you can be safe to split with others. The cafe isn't super big and they do usually have a line but it goes by fast! You pay and then sit. Finally made it back to Dottie's after 6yrs! We live in California. Better than ever. Everything, I mean everything is delicious, quality ingredients made with love. The owner and staff are so accommodating and friendly. Cannot go wrong having breakfast or lunch here. Even tho it's gets very busy at lunch time the staff is so organized the line moves rather quickly! read more
