If you don't read the review: Not worth the try for me. Originally had high hopes for this place because they have high reviews and when we first tried to eat here some time ago, the line was out the door. I'm definitely disappointed. Service was bad, (which is crazy considering there was no one in there). 2 servers. Both passed us several times. Regardless, we had to get up and get our own menus because no one came to provide them to us. Finally, someone came to take our drink order and when we said we were ready to order they said we have to wait for someone else to come over. Overall, the restaurant doesn't look clean. Ceiling is falling apart. Bench seats crumbling. Walls are dusty. The tables are uncomfortable because they have thick plastic on them. Not to mention sticky. The food was overpriced in my opinion. 3 stack of pancakes was around $8.95. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and it was $10.95, which is just not worth it. My family and I came in for a late lunch and had a great experience. The kids meal was incredibly generous, with chicken tenders, fries, and mozzarella sticks all included. My chicken and waffles were excellent, and my wife really enjoyed her omelette. There was plenty of seating and parking nearby, which made things even easier. What really stood out was the staff. My daughter accidentally left her stuffed animal behind, and when I called, they were so kind and helpful in finding it and making sure I could come back to pick it up. That level of care really means a lot. We loved our visit and will definitely be back. read more

A cute small-town Cafe that has a surprisingly large menu, and slow but friendly service. On a Friday afternoon, this place was bustling. We got here at the exact wrong time with a couple of people ahead of us but after we were seated (35 minutes later), several tables had opened and subsequent folks had zero wait. They have a rather large menu (plus a page of specials) for such a small place that includes breakfast and various egg and pancake dishes, sandwiches, wraps, soups, coffees and teas and sweet items. Items range on average between $10 to 17. Compared to other places in the area, the prices are decent. I enjoyed the chicken Philly sandwich with a salad and the goat cheese and mushroom wrap also got fair reviews (only thing is the mushrooms could have been cooked down a little more). The sweet potato fries weren't oily at all. We got the banana pudding (ok) $6 and the brownie was good but cold. Generally the food is good but probably doesn't use the most quality ingredients and lacks some finesse. The dishes also came on plates that were a bit cramped. They don't seem to have a lot of help around the floor so cleaning up after tables, taking orders and getting your check all aren't quick endeavors. But the server was nice and you feel good supporting a local business. There's a very small foyer and waiting area and it's hard to get someone's attention until they are ready to seat more people. A couple of the tables probably could have been used more efficiently and get customers seated faster (like two people taking up 4 chairs). The parking lot is pretty small and seems like it can fill up. That strip is home to other things like a deli, Thai place, pizza place, nail spa etc. A little further down the road is a small park that has parking as well. read more

This is one of the best places in Rockland County for breakfast. I don't get here as often as I would like, but every time I leave raving about the delicious food and wonderful service. Today was no different, we can by just after the place opened and we were able to get seated immediately. (sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but given how great this place is, it's worth a few minutes) My daughter had the French Omelet, my wife had the Lumberjack special, and I had the Banana Bread Nutella French toast from the specials menu. These were all beautifully prepared and delicious. My French Toast was hands down, the best I have ever had. The service was perfect, and the eclectic vibe is always a treat. This is absolutely the cutest cafe I have ever been to! We met the owner while we were there and she was an absolute doll. I just flew in from LA and I was starving! I had to have the Banana Nut Bread French Toast with Bananas and Strawberries.... YUMM! I ate them to fast with my crispy bacon to even take a pic!!!!! The whole vibe in the cafe is so adorable and welcoming! The food is soooo good and the customer service is phenomenal! If you are looking for a great breakfast spot this is your place! Eclectic in its decor, it is an excellent restaurant with a great assortment of breakfast and brunch options. Delicious omelettes, sandwiches and salads can be found. The wait staff is fun, courteous and friendly. And food came out of the kitchen quickly and wonderfully prepared. If you are anywhere in West Nyack and don't want to go to the Palisades Mall to get some boring tasteless chain store grub, then Lulu's is for you. Came for breakfast with my teen daughter on a Saturday morning. It was packed and it was about a 40 min wait. The entryway is tiny. We ordered Nutella crepes for the kiddo and the Monte cristo sandwich for me. Both were very good. I also had a side of home fries. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfect. I also ordered a caramel iced coffee and it was way too sweet. I couldn't finish it. My daughter had a lemonade and it was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. We found this place when looking for a brunch spot (our usual local brunch places didn't seem to be open). But did we really enjoy it! They have a lot of breakfast offerings, I got the "eggadilla" (eggs, black beans, cheese quesadilla served with pico, sour cream, and guac), a side of bacon (generous) and an Arnold Palmer drink (powdered lemonade, will not get again). My friend got a black bean quesadilla and the lemonade (she didn't like that either, not made with fresh lemons but with powdered mix). It's funny how i found this beautiful place. The decor of Lulu's was as cute and cozy as the food was delicious and filling. We were greeted and served by Lulu herself, who was an absolute delight. The coffee was rich and my 8-Grainwich sandwich was everything I could have hoped for. I bought some banana pudding to take with me, I can say with 100% certainty, I have never had banana pudding that was as good as Lulu's. Lulus Cafe is a pretty decent breakfast spot , we came here around noon on a Sunday , and only waited for about 20 minutes to be seated. Not bad for what is normally a very busy time to show up to get breakfast on a weekend. The food wasn't bad , It was a decent breakfast!! My girlfriend had the The Dubliner Omelette which she thought was great , I had The LumberJack Breakfast meal which was just a basic breakfast meal .. Hard to mess that up ! Homefries were very good and crispy ! The decor is a little all over the place , with just random things everywhere , the ceiling tiles are hangin on by random nails and looks like they are going to fall on your head any moment. Parts of the ceiling are sheet rocked and sparkled but not painted, and the toys and games from what looks like the 80s in piles by the table also makes for the place to feel very clustered and not clean. Don't get me wrong the place is very cute and you have to support small businesses but the place definitely needs some work with the ambiance. The lady that helped us was extremely nice but was very busy herself, they do need some more staff to help out and get things organized a little more. read more

Went here for breakfast after the places in downtown nyack had lines down the street! Cute little cafe with outdoor seating (in the sunlight, helpful on chilly mornings). When out on a long bike ride, finding a place to eat that coincides with break points that is more than a crummy deli inside a gas station is tough. We picked Lulu's on a whim as it happened to be at a good break point. We normally don't go to sit down restaurants, but we did not have much of a choice as there isn't much else around. The inside is sort or a mix between coffee shop and diner and was staffed by really nice people. We ordered a veggie burrito, chocolate chip multi-grain pancakes and a piece of chocolate cake. The food came out reasonable fast and everything was very good. The pancakes were not too enormous and were light and fluffy. The chocolate cake was decadent and delicious. My wife and I were definitely fighting over it. The whole meal came to about $25, not too bad. Lulu's is now officially on my list of cycling break food stops. read more
