A real old time breakfast nook. Very eclectic with a lot of old memorabilia hanging out. Nice menu but again my pet peeve, the owner/waitress spent the entire time talking to a couple she knew. I literally had to ask for a menu and the young lady had no personality. She did not offer me anything to drink and she brought my pancakes out with no syrup I had to ask the busboy to please get me some syrup. She really needs to be trained in customer service. This is a very interesting place. You sort of feel like you are on vacation in some small cape cod,town or the jersey shore when you walk into this place. The furnishings are adorable, very retro. The problem is that the place just looks dirty. Not saying it is, but it just looks old and dusty and dirty. Wouldn't take much to spruce the place up and it really needs it. The service is always challenged as the wait staff are all high school kids so you get that sort of attention. The type of place that recycles their ketchup bottles and the one we got today look like it's been around for a few years and although it was a Heinz bottle, I seriously doubt it was Heinz ketchup. The menu is fine with plenty of selections and although the food takes a while to come out it is usually prepared very well and enjoyable. I really like coming to Lulu's because I believe it is owned by the people who used to own Temptation's in Nyack. The food is.... good. It's not spectacular, nothing to write home about. The service is good, it's fairly clean. The bathroom is kind of crummy, but it's a small place and I assume the bathroom is used a ton (duh). Ridiculously happy with Lulus, as always! During the lockdown in 2020, they offered so many trays for breakfast (like for Mother's Day, Easter, etc.). They aren't really doing them "on the menu" anymore, but I called them yesterday to get some trays for before the parade and everything was excellent, as always! I can't tell you how much everyone enjoyed the food and they are always so kind! They even added the strawberries and bananas that I didn't even ask for! Great mom and pop shop with super great homemade meals and desserts. Staff is so nice and makes you feel at home. Very comfortable layout and ambiance. Order something different each time and I'm never disappointed. Debby (the owner/waitress) makes some of the best desserts ever and they are a must have! This is my first time coming to this little cute cafe/restaurant. I came here because of my grandma's birthday. As I entered, it was small however it was cute because you can feel the vintage, classic interior. I ordered if I remembered clearly, it was Monte Cristo (French toast stuff w eggs and ham and home fried potatoes). It was delicious and filling! Ahhh this place is amazing. Warm, cozy, and welcoming, kinda a junk drawer of furniture all thrown together but has this indescribable "grandma's kitchen" kinda vibe. The place is very cute, kitschy, and very small, never have had to wait even though it is always busy. Probably not the best place to go if you have a huge group. I've been there on both Saturdays and Sundays and the staff on Saturdays is much better than Sunday mornings. The Sunday morning staff always act like you are putting them out by being there. The salads were the best - fresh veggies were cucumber, red onion, greens & tomato) The balsamic vinaigrette dressing was awesome. The only complaint where the sweet potato fries. Great stop for brunch. I often go here on a Sunday am with my family. It is always packed and generally hard to get a table. Great assortment of whole wheat pancakes with fillings and fresh fruit toppings, the chunky monkey pancakes are superb! peanut butter french toast is my Mothers favorite, I personally LOVE the Huevos Rancheros (3 corn tortillas topped with black beans, cheddar cheese, topped with 2 over easy eggs, fresh avocado, sour cream and salsa) . Lulu's is owned by the same people who own Temptation's in Nyack. Is basically the same menu, but Lulu's doesn't offer as many desserts. However, they have ginormous cupcakes in a bunch of diff flavors, very rich but very tasty. All the food is amazing. Steak salad is great, all vegetarian options are delish. Since my first review over two years ago, Lulu's has become a regular among myself and my group of friends. At work everyone knows that it's the place to go for a delicious, filling meal in an adorable, friendly atmosphere. I went with my husband and daughter to Lulu's Cafe for breakfast. I was amazingly disappointed. I didn't think an omelette could taste so bad. I asked for cheddar cheese and it was very rubbery. I could not cut the omelette with my fork it was so tough. My husband's potatoes were burnt and inedible. One of my daughter's pancakes were not thoroughly cooked. About as good as it gets for a casual Brunch in Rockland This place really impressed me. It's a tiny cafe style restaurant with a small town feel. I ordered the breakfast burrito which came with fruit and home fries. The burrito had fresh ingredients and was large and delicious. I also had some of the peanut butter stuffed french toast with bananas and strawberry. This was amazing. What turned into "trying it" ended up being eating a whole piece. I would highly recommend either of these for brunch. The prices were very reasonable ($10). The service was attentive and the atmosphere was attractive. This place is worth a 20 minute drive once in a while to get a good brunch. I'll be returning regularly. read more

I don't usually post reviews, but, I had to make this account after my experience when I ate there last Wednesday. Upon entering, the decor was dusty and the booths were falling apart. In the middle of our meal, I spotted a mouse in the corner of my eye scurrying through the tables next to us. The girls serving us were very understanding given the situation; I'm sure they were just as surprised as we were. The mouse then disappeared, we finished our meals and left before we saw anything else. Usually, when there is one mouse, there are more. Situations like this make​ me question the sanitation of the kitchen and the contents of my meal.
