Nice ambience. It's colorful and has a vintage feel. Good food that tastes homemade. Prices aren't bad at all. Service with a smile. We had brunch and it was delicious. Omlettes are highly recommended. read more

Lulu's Cafe - Sandwiches Near Me - West Nyack, New York

Really really cute place. Good food. Great desserts. Disappointing service. The young girl was home from college and was unable to tell us if they had ice cream and other various basic menu questions. Aside from this the experience was quite enjoyable. read more

This place is adorable. The food is pretty good, too. I thought it was little pricey for lunch but my husband disagreed. I like the sandwich choices. The American in Paris was so yummy. The Sweet potato fries were a bit soggy but tasty. My husband enjoyed his burger. Service was very good. This place is a great place for a girls' luncheon date. I hear it is awesome for brunch- so I will definitely be going back. Recommend! read more

i came in and no one sat us in a half empty restaurant for about 5 minutes. after finally seating us no one came up to us with water for about 10 minutes. I ordered a tea and didn't get It for 30 minutes. I accidentally spilled my water and the boy working there seemed not in the right state of mind and was very slow , after I spilled my water It was never refilled. the food was super greasy and took a really long time to come out. never going back again. read more

It is impossible to be in a bad mood in this place. Such a quaint little place. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food though. The food is the star. I had an amazing wrap. The only thing missing is more gluten free options. I would totally bring my kids if there was something they could eat here. read more

SUPER place to stop just off NYS thruway. Homey fun decor, SO not a chain lame experience. Family run, great menu, very varied, interesting combinations. Super great cupcakes and other baked goods to have there or take with you read more

Awesome food in a cute place. But please please please clean this place up to return it to its former glory!! I really want to give you guys five stars and see you succeed so I'm hoping to come back and see a cleaner place when I can delete this review and give you 5 stars. In desperate need of a deep cleaning, some new upholstery in the booths and a fresh paint job. Throw out or clean the old dirty Nik naks around the place. Seriously looking gross in there guys. When I sit in one of your booths I don't want to see grime and somebody's old French fry from a few weeks ago tucked into the corner of the booth seat. Makes me concerned about the cleanliness of the kitchen. This place is adorable and has great food so please do right and clean it up! read more

Unsupervised staff in the evening = gossip and texting before service, food, and customers. Thanks for the fascinating insight into the wait staff's love life, but may I PLEASE get some silverware to eat with, and the coffee I ordered? read more

My husband and I stumbled upon this cozy café which we were surprised to hear had been operating for five years. We have had breakfast, lunch and even dinner here. The food is yummy and diverse with a healthy view - a side of fresh fruit served with breakfast items, one of the only two fountain service places that remember what a chocolate malted is, and the vintage 50's décor and lighting design make it perpetually cheerful. We shared a dessert of the best coffee ice cream ever - Kahlua Cappoccino - yum! There is no place comparable in the area. read more

Such an adorable restaurant for families and girl talk! The atmosphere is very homey, yet retro. I went here for brunch and the food was delicious, as well as, affordable. Would totally come here again! read more

Always solid, decent and straight forward food. Great cappuccino. Kids and adults alike enjoy this place. Tables wobble and bench upholstery is ripped but guess that's part of the shabby chic. We eat there several times per month, sometimes just bc we know what to expect foodwise and smiling servers. read more

Nice little spot. Coffee machine was not working properly but food was good. Staff was polite

I love Lulu's! The food is delicious, the menu has something for everyone, and the prices are very reasonable. I also really like how family-friendly the atmosphere here is; it's one of my favorite places to take my son on special mommy-son dates. Service is always friendly but can be a bit slow. Definitely recommend for a meal out with the kiddos in tow. read more

Went here a couple months ago while on vacation. Food was okay. Experience kinda ruined my lunch. Some hot 15 year old was sitting next to me, seemed like a total skank. All the sudden this old 50 year old dude came in and sat down with her, she started getting all bitchy because she met him on MySpace and thought he was some other horny 15 year old, but he was just some old guy. All the liberal New York Jews started freaking out and yelling at him to leave her alone. As they started to leave another old dude came in with a bunch of cameras and said it was a prank for Fox News or something. It took like two hours to get my food because everyone was being all weird about the pedophile guy and wanting to get autographs from the Chris Hansen guy or whatever. It was pretty good, but wasn't worth the wait. read more

Skip it, you do much better. While waiting to order I listened to the cook cough terribly with horrible phlegm sound. Not what you want hear coming from the kitchen. Side order of toast had green mold on it. That was it for us. Sorry LuLu's but paying customers deserve better. read more

The food and service are not as good as the old Temptations. Very disappointing but a convenient local place to grab a meal, if your expectations aren't too high. :) read more

If you haven't been to Lulu's Cafe yet you are seriously missing out. The place is so cute makes you feel at home. The food tastes like real homemade food. All of their iced teas and iced coffees come in giant mason jars. Do yourself a favor and go have breakfast or lunch at Lulu's read more

Supper disappointed. I got the chunky monkey ( whole wheat pancakes with Banana and chocolate ). EXTREMELY DRY pancakes !! Put syrup and butter and nothing helped. After few bites I stopped eating. My friend enjoyed the peanut butter banana stuffed French toast though. Iced latte was nothing special. We tried to get our waiters attention which was pretty hard for such a large place. Finally he came over I explained that the pancakes were dry. He asked if I would like something else which by this time my friend had finished eating so I said no. 1 star for my friend liking her food and another bc he actually took off pancakes from the bill. I think I could give it another chance and go with buttermilk pancakes ? But most likely not read more

i never knew about Lulu's until a random search of brunch places in the vicinity. i've been to good places like pancakes plus, strawberry place, country house of pancakes and other diners and lulu's lives up to the standards for sure. small downside: the place is small, only about 12 tables/booths and only serves breakfast on sundays. otherwise all their food is top notch and rather unique. the brunch menu has about 20-25 items available, but you can order from rest of menu (sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc.). we went as a group of 8 and not one complaint in any way from anyone. our food choices ranged from pancakes to waffles to eggs to soup. their egg dishes had to be the most unique: open face farmer's omelette with home fries cooked inside, scrambled egg quesadilla, breakfast burrito. waffle dishes with fresh fruit. cornmeal pancakes with blueberries were out of this world...didn't use an drop of syrup and cousin said they were tastier than his buttermilk reese's pieces pancakes. the banana and peanut butter french toast was delicious and the peanut butter did not overpower the dish (topped with fresh strawberries as well). while we didn't get desserts (their cupcakes and pies looked phenomenal - Crumbs level quality and size) we did get some great drinks. milkshake was thick and tasty. root beer float was amazing...stewart's root beer (my personal favorite) and homemade ice cream (thick and custard-like). also the cappuccino and ice cappuccino were hits. i highly recommend this place on a sunday when others in the area are overcrowded. i believe a sister restaurant of temptations cafe in nyack so you can't lose. read more

If you like diner food but good diner food than you have to try Lulu's Cafe which is not too far from the Palasades Mall. The place is packed for breakfast and brunch. The food is good the burgers and plump and juicy. The PB french toast is great. Love their omellettes. And not as greasy as some of the other diners. Love sweet potato fries. Not many diners serve that. And if you love cupcakes they have many choices in home made cupcakes. read more

This restaurant is very cute. The mismatched china plates, preserve jars for water glasses and gingham tablecloths make you feel instantly at home, as if you were dining in your grandmother's kitchen. During lunchtime it tends to get crowded and there is usually a wait, but that is because the food is simply delicious. The vegetarian options are plentiful. Of note is the homemade black bean burger with avocado and the fried plantains with honey dijon dipping sauce. Yummy! If you're not in a hurry, this tiny cafe is worth a stop! read more

This place was great! Cute, very kitschy atmosphere. Vintage aprons hanging on the wall, water served in ball jars, old coke memorabilia around. My husband and I ordered the same thing- BLT on whole grain with house made sweet potato fries. I also had a Diet Stewarts root beer. The sandwich hit the spot- crispy bacon, not too much mayo. We got an oreo cupcake to go and it was amazing. I would definitely go back. read more

Great food...excellent customer service..it's a cozy place to enjoy well prepared food..

I went in for breakfast. It was not busy. My eggs were cold when they arrived. The home fries were room temp. I told the waitress, and she brought me hot eggs in a cup. Very unappetizing. I was originally going to go to Pancakes Plus, but it was packed. I had never eaten in either restaurant. I won't be back to Lulu's. read more

As soon as you walk in, you get an instant musty smell. The decor...just awful. The tables were dirty and sticky. The food was alright. With the Rockland bakery right there you'd wonder why they don't use real challah loaves for their French toast. read more

Always love the food and the decor.... the owners are great and the staff working is always friendly

Lulu's is very whimsical and reminds me of Kitchenette in the city. The decor is adorable, and is the perfect place to take the lady(ies) in your life. The brunch is yummy. I highly recommend the Farmer's Scramble or the Blueberry Corncakes. My only complaint is that service can be a little slow at times, but even so I still love this place. read more

I love this place! Simply put, my review can be summed up in one word...Delicious! Lulu's is one of my families favorite places to eat. From omelettes to burgers or salads to cupcakes you cannot go wrong. The owner and staff are always friendly accommodating and the food is fantastic. Yes there are times you may have to wait to get in, but that because so many agree with me. Best brunch around. Whenever I ask my kids where they want to go, Lulu's is always the answer. I cannot recommend this place any higher. read more

Well worth a visit...cute place, great service, wonderful pancakes...my only complaint is that the cupcakes look better than they taste.

Consistently good food. My family eats here frequently for breakfast. Favorites are the farmer's scramble and the eggadilla. Good service and very kid-friendly. My kids enjoy looking through their collection of games every time we go. read more

Good place to meet for lunch/brunch. Affordable and food is solid with good service. Menu has choices for everyone.

The food and menu options are great. A local hidden gem. The staff is friendly and attentive. If your in West Nyack it's great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. read more

Good food. Cute environment. Service has improved. Place should be dusted and cleaned. Looks dirty and silverware is dirty sometimes.

3.5 stars. Cute kitschy place. Went for lunch; The sun chicken sandwich is amazing but the turkey with Brie and apple sandwich left a lot to be desired. Shake was very tasty. The booths are in terrible condition and when the person behind moves, so do you. Will be back to try breakfast items. read more

It was really cold in the restaurant and the food was lousy and overpriced. They were extremely stingy with sandwich fillings and we essentially ate bread sandwiches for lunch. We left hungry and will not be back. read more

I wanted to love LuLu's . First of all it is adorable. I came for lunch the other day. I ordered a burger, medium. It came out well done, chared ( burned) and very, very dry. Additionally, there was no seasoning at all (read- no salt at all and very tasteless). The roll was a terrible choice, the burger was much smaller than the roll, and it was very dry as well. It was like a desert on a plate. The onion rings were good and the iced tea was pretty good as well. The pie was mediocre, they should consider getting pie from the Pie Lady and Sons. I might give LuLus another shot, but I am hesitant to do so. read more

First time in today and everything was great! Had a chocolate malt that was amazing. The sandwich with turkey with Brie is a must try!

Pleasantly surprised by this charming quirky cafe we found by chance. Friendly efficient but relaxed servers. We had two excellent salads --- curried chicken and Cobb --- that were very generous for the price. Sweet potato fries a treat. Beautiful cappuccino to round out a nice lunch. Highly recommended! read more

A quaint, charming place, but the food was disappointing. The peanut butter stuffed french toast was beautifully presented with sliced bananas and strawberries on top. Very dry however. Needed lots of maple syrup to make it edible. Even then it wasn't worth finishing. It was a disappointment. My companion ordered the coconut shrimp salad which was OK but not great. read more
