I hate writing this review-I respect small business's and the work they do. My kid and I ordered Bam Bam Shrimp, 2 bowls. Pick up. We have ordered twice before (at least) on the last year. We both ate less than 1/2 our bowls and became sick. First her, then me. Sick sick. Vomiting etc. badly. The next day I called to say my kid and I had gotten sick from the shrimp. I was put on hold, I gave my name and time of pick up and was told "that's not possible you got sick, we had a lot of bowls and no one had problems." This place is an absolute gem of a spot. There are so many items on the menu that you literarily dont know what to order, but everytime the food hits no matter what you get. I got the Salmon avocado plate. Food was super delicious would give it a 8.5/10. This came with some tomatoes onion, black beans, avocado as well and was a great touch. The salmon was crispy and they had a sweet sauce that they gave that made everything taste even better. Had lunch at Bigg Belly in Valley Cottage and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Rice Bowl and it was absolutely delicious! The crispy shrimp with just the right amount of kick, on top of perfectly seasoned rice and fresh toppings. Super flavorful and really satisfying. The portion size was generous too! The staff were really welcoming and the vibe inside was chill and clean It's a great spot for a casual bite. I'll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu. I was looking to eat lunch and decided to check this place out. Big Belly was such a catchy name and I expected a different place than I imagined. It's basically a deli with lots of seating. The food menu is the same that you would expect from a deli. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and Buffalo wings. All of it a La carte. I didn't notice any combo meals. The French fries were crispy and yummy! It had a bit of that good coating and fried to perfection. The wings were also good, fried crispy the way I like it. I asked for the classic Buffalo sauce in the side since I wasn't sure how spicy it was. It also came with your choice of other flavors. The wings came with a side of blue cheese dressing and it looked and tasted homemade with chunks of bleu cheese. So overall Bigg Belly didn't disappoint. I would order from them again. The prices seem reasonable: fries were $3.95 (portion generous), cheeseburger $7.95 and wings $7.95 (5 piece). The interior was very roomy and clean. First time I grabbed food from these guys, last Tuesday. My son had a LL game and I was in the area and my friend told me to try these guys out. Let me tell you, it was well worth it! I recommend the bang, bang Shrimp, it hit the spot! The shrimp was perfectly cooked, the rice, black bean, corn and avocado with the bang, bang sauce, hit just right. The dish was awesome! My mission is to try every single one of their food items. I have NEVER been disappointed here. My favorite is the Bang Bang Shrimp avocado bowl. They give you fantastic portions and have excellent service. Their chopped cheese items are also spot on. They are also pretty great with food preparation. I'll usually order ahead as soon as i get into my car, and it'll be ready to go by the time I get there. I've dined in a few times and the place is pretty big. For those who won't read the whole review: Food is alright and overpriced. Service is terrible. The only reason it's getting two stars is because it's open late and the food doesn't completely lack flavor. However, it takes an absurd amount of time to get your food or any kind of service for that matter. I normally go at night. The night shift guy is regularly high! There have been many occasions of bad service but this last time was by far the worst. I called to place a pick up order. He asked me to hold. I was holding for 15 minutes while listening to him just shooting the shit with a coworker. I hang up, call back, and he says 'sorry I forgot I put you on hold'. Also a negative, their hours and menu aren't updated. So they don't have a lot that is offered on the menu! They just need to do better. read more

This is quickly becoming one of those places where the quality will end up being whatever they think they can get away with without pissing off their customers too much. I used to frequent Bigg Belly for lunch as they had a great selection and decent prices for the portions, but eventually stopped after they started making too many mistakes and everything just gradually got more and more expensive. The family dinner used to be a fantastic deal where you got a tray of salad and a tray of penne a la vodka for 40 dollars and some nice bread to go with it. For some reason now they have it advertised as a sale where the original price is $79.99 (which is absurd there is no way anyone anywhere would pay 80 dollars for a tray of salad and a tray of pasta) down to $39.95 and instead of the tray of salad (which is in the description) they give you a single portion of salad in a tiny tin. The squeeze continues and like I said I think they will go further down this path if that's what they think they can get away with. The quality is dipping and coupled with the high prices it just doesn't make sense to order from here anymore. The service has always been lackluster but lately you come in to pick up your order and there are just teens hanging out at the counter and the grown man who is the chef just chilling there with them? This is one of those "if I could give it zero stars, I would " reviews. Tried this place out when they first opened up. Not good. Food wasn't fresh and my order was routinely wrong. To be fair I gave them 3 tries. 2 of those 3 my order was wrong and every time the food wasn't good. Needles to say, I left them alone for a few years, chocking it up to newbies needing some time to get it together. Fast forward to today (10.24.24), I decided I would not take the 7 minute drive to my usual sandwich place and give them a go. I ordered bacon and egg on a buttered roll. Can't mess that up, right? Wrong. Drove off, got down the road and decided to take a bite at a light. It was only egg and some weird tomato sauce. I went back, got a new sandwich and drove off again. In hindsight, I should've opened it on the spot. When I get home, the bacon was clearly from the day before and the eggs did not smell good. So much so it was inedible. Wonderful food. Went in today for lunch, I had a "chopped hamburger", basically a really awesome sloppy joe. Also had the Buffalo chicken wrap; very nice. The prices were very low, especially considering the quality of food. Service was friendly, the place was clean, and the menu was quite sizable. I held back a star (until an update from a later date) because of the library type feel of super bright warehouse lighting (I seriously think I got a tan on my visit), with the complete silence of a Catholic Church whose priest just hugged an alter boy. Ordered 2 Rubin quesadillas. Got canned corned beef mushed into a mushy tortilla. My god. This is not food. I'm pretty sure my dog ate better then we did this evening. Garbage immediately.
