big enough?

"Well, I talk about boys Yeah, yeah, boys Don't ya know I mean boys? Yeah, yeah, boys (The Shirelles) Boy, oh boy, is this place incredible! First of all -it's huge and every square foot is jam packed with baked goods, deli, and grab and go foods along the walls and showcases, and plenty of tables and chairs on the floor space. Want some bagels? Well, you better be prepared to pick among eighteen varieties including Egg Onion, Bialys, Power Craisin, Rainbow, and Whole Wheat Everything. Want to start your morning with a Breakfast Bagel Sandwich? Dress up your bagel of choice with bacon, sausage, New Jersey favorite son Taylor Ham, or plain old ham. Want an even bigger breakfast? You'll be happy to choose among their nine omelets served with a bagel and hash browns. If I was leaning in that direction, I'd most definitely go for their Lox, Eggs & Onions variety. Add in their rest of their goodies, like cream cheeses, smoked fish, salads, deli, and sandwiched and you could eat here for months and never repeat a meal, And I haven't even mentioned their enormous bakery section with muffins, pastries, cookies, cakes, and cupcakes. Chocolate Cheese Muffin? Check. Ruggelach? Check. Black and White Cookies? Check. Turtle Cheesecake? Check. Snowball Coconut Cupcake? Check Kosher Challah or Chocolate Babka? Double Check We wanted a dozen bialys. They only had eleven left, but learned that when you order a dozen, you don't get the usual hum-drum pedestrian Baker's Dozen of 13. Oh no, the Bagel Boys hook you up with a very generous Mega Dozen of fifteen. So we took home a big bag of eleven bialys, and a Cinnamon Raisin, Plain, Whole Wheat, and Poppy bagel, plus a bag of chocolate topped almond cookies for $21.82. I had my Poppy Bagel for lunch yesterday, and I gotta tell ya about it. First of all, it was enormous -close to 5" across. It looked more like a tea saucer than a bagel. And it was delicious! Crunchy and chewy on the outside, soft, and delicious on the inside, with maybe a quarter pound of poppy seeds everywhere. (Don't eat one before you take a drug test). Five stars all the way. Nice job, Bagel Boys!

I was searching for small finger sandwich platters, or pinwheels, to deliver to someone's house on very short notice. I couldn't find photos of sandwich platters to see what I would be ordering so I took a chance, and I am very happy I did. I overheard people saying these sandwiches are really good. I asked that the wraps be cut into 3 pieces to make smaller sandwiches, and the deli sandwiches cut into 4's. It worked out very well. The side salads were also very good. Normally macaroni salads have a strange chemical taste, but this salad did not have that, it was really good, as was the potato salad, but the pickles seemed to be the winner of the sides. The pickles went fast, and the homeowner that I sent the food to said he will be buying his pickles from Bagel Boys Cafe. I had no expectations of being this pleasantly surprised. Glad I took the chance on ordering from here.

This place was so great. Fast and delicious fresh bagels. Must try!! So thick and fluffy. Must try! Service was good and quick. Other delicious pastry options.

Located in Airmont, N.Y. I've been getting bagels at the Bagel Boy Cafe. I remember when this place started in a humble space

Everything is made fresh daily in their kitchen in back. I come here a few times a month, usually for baguettes and whatever else catches my eye! Their chocolate croissants (pain au chocolat if you want to be technical) are so buttery and flaky, just what I'm looking for. My brother usually orders the almond croissant and devours it almost instantly. I do try to call in advance for the baguettes because they're such a hot commodity! Usually she sells out super early in the day and has another batch baking to be ready by mid afternoon. Sometimes I stop in and let her know how many i would like to reserve, and sometimes I'll call ahead. I love that she always makes sure to put them aside so I know they'll be there when I arrive!

At 5 bucks , and the rating this has on Yelp , I expected the croissant at the minimum to be good tasting . Sadly, this was easily one of the worst croissants I've ever had . The almond croissant was very hard to pull apart , not very flaky if at all and the taste was blandish and just not up to even the mid tier standards . If I compared this to any other almond croissant I've had in other bakeries especially those that are French inspired , this would be a complete joke . This is sorta the level you'd find in a Costco multipack .Also, if you're coming here for coffee , the options are very limited to drip and maybe one or two flavor lattes so it's pretty much exclusively a makeshift bakery. The baker who I presume was the owner as well was exceptionally kind and welcoming so something in me wants me to try give it another go with possibly another option.

Their sandwiches like the chicken salad are good but not amazing. I have enjoyed their chocolate chip scones, quiche, and apple turnover. They came out a few times to refresh the baked goods which was nice to see, as other ones often run out of items. Their seating also had outlets which encourages people to sit and stay awhile. It's good to get the app because they offer discounts which can pay off. Their rewards program is earn 75 points (each $1) and get a free pastry or drink so it can take awhile to accumulate if you don't go often (though definitely not a cheap place). And the points expire at some point if you don't use them for awhile. Sunday is a good day to go to avoid crowds since the retail stores were closed. Parking is usually a pain on Saturdays. The Plaza also has a tj maxx, shop rite, cvs, old navy, orange theory, dsw, five below, Michael's, deli, etc.
