PLEASE sort out your schedule. My dad, who is on limited time because he has cancer, was so excited to visit this bakery as we used to go here when I was a kid. We left the house in traffic and the rain only to discover that their hours on Google are different than Yelp. Today is Monday. Google says closed Monday, Yelp says open til 6:30pm. I called 4x and no answer, so they're likely closed. Obviously my dad being sick and irritable is nobody else's problem, but it goes to show how much a simple detail could really affect someone's day. Lets just say it ended not great. And if the details of this bakery were more clear and were cross checked, this could have been prevented.

A delicious strawberry birthday cake with incredibly smooth and creamy frosting. The strawberries are fresh and generously used, making for a refreshing and light cake. Everyone absolutely loved it!

    Fresh baguettes!

My favorite local bakery. BoBo Z is a small but delightful bakery serving a huge variety of French pastries from croissants and pain au chocolat to freshly baked baguettes. Everything is made fresh daily in their kitchen in back. I come here a few times a month, usually for baguettes and whatever else catches my eye! Their chocolate croissants (pain au chocolat if you want to be technical) are so buttery and flaky, just what I'm looking for. My brother usually orders the almond croissant and devours it almost instantly. I do try to call in advance for the baguettes because they're such a hot commodity! Usually she sells out super early in the day and has another batch baking to be ready by mid afternoon. Sometimes I stop in and let her know how many i would like to reserve, and sometimes I'll call ahead. I love that she always makes sure to put them aside so I know they'll be there when I arrive!

If you want the best croissants, then this is the place to go! You can smell the freshness of the pastries as soon as you open the door. We always get the almond croissants whenever we come and the strawberry shortcake is our go to for birthdays. Definitely a gem in Mahwah!

Went there this afternoon, got mango mousse and several different kinds of bread. I would say it's the best mango mousse I ever had, not too sweat, light and airy texture and most importantly, very flavorful. And the bread is a real deal, not oily, no fancy artificial color, if you like "real bread" without all the artificial ingredients, you need to come here and try it yourself. I live more than 30mins south, but it's definitely worth the drive.

Rebecca is a sweet and talented baker. She made a lovely and delicious cake for a small engagement luncheon. Don't miss her macarons-can't decide if lemon or coffee are my favorite!

His place is amazing! Their bakery is so fresh with the best ingredients. Right now they have tables inside for everyone to eat and drink coffee. Highly recommend this store to everyone who likes healthy sweets

Absolutely delighted bakery! Super cute place with lots of baked goods. The owners was nice and welcoming. Closest to real French pastries I've had in NJ.

The owner is SO SO SO friendly! It is a new small business that is definitely worth checking out. The selection of pastries are fresh and incredibly delicious. If you are looking to satisfy a sweet tooth, this place is for you.

It takes real courage to start a business, especially when it's fueled almost entirely by passion. Yes, the hours can be a little challenging, but it's absolutely worth making the trip. In my opinion, these are some of the best cookies you'll find anywhere. What makes Half Baked so special is the creativity. One week you might find Lemon Blueberry, Oatmeal Raspberry, Pignoli, or Three-Color Cookie creations. It's genuinely fun to check the website every Tuesday to see what she's dreamed up for the week--though she occasionally surprises everyone with off-menu specials. And the Dulce de Leche cookie? It instantly transports me back to Argentina . Rich, nostalgic, and absolutely delicious. If you enjoy supporting small businesses and appreciate handcrafted baking, Half Baked deserves a visit. You can taste the passion in every bite.

I tried two of their fan favorites: the Crumb Cake cookie and the Half Baked Chocolate Chip. If you're someone who loves chunky chocolate chips, this place is definitely for you. What stood out to me most was the texture. The cookies were incredibly soft, which is exactly how I like them. The shop itself is small and geared more toward quick pickup than hanging out. There isn't any seating, but that's not really the point here. You're coming for the cookies, and they deliver. Another thing that stood out was the owner, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming. It's also great to see that they offer a lot of customization options for special orders, making it easy to see why they have such a loyal following. If you're a cookie lover and haven't checked them out yet, Half Baked is absolutely worth a visit.

Their sandwiches like the chicken salad are good but not amazing. I have enjoyed their chocolate chip scones, quiche, and apple turnover. They came out a few times to refresh the baked goods which was nice to see, as other ones often run out of items. Their seating also had outlets which encourages people to sit and stay awhile. It's good to get the app because they offer discounts which can pay off. Their rewards program is earn 75 points (each $1) and get a free pastry or drink so it can take awhile to accumulate if you don't go often (though definitely not a cheap place). And the points expire at some point if you don't use them for awhile. Sunday is a good day to go to avoid crowds since the retail stores were closed. Parking is usually a pain on Saturdays.
