I have passed by this place COUNTLESS times since I have lived in the area. I went to an event last week and they had cupcakes from Caked Up. They were delicious so I figured that I would finally stop in and try. So many adorable options ! Almost an overwhelming amount. I ended up choosing a Mallomar Cupcake, Half Baked Cupcake, candy corn cupcake, and a hostess style cupcake. They were all quite good. I will say that the chocolate cake was a little bit drier than I feel that it should have been. The vanilla cake was perfect. I do like that all of the cupcakes were filled into the center. My favorite of those that I purchased was the Hostess style. All of the cupcakes were thoughtfully decorated. 4 cupcakes cost just over $17. Each is priced somewhere between $4.25 and $4.95.
Yummy cupcakes and cakes, though a little pricey We only had the cupcakes but they were fresh and tasty, with lots of unique and different varieties but also traditional flavors. The strawberry shortcake, cookie dough and pumpkin spice were all great. The death by Chocolate was a little underwhelming compared to the mentioned three. They had also cupcakes with chicken and pancakes on them. There is a lot of icing and they're slightly bigger than some places, though you do pay for it. Each cupcake is currently near $4 with a little savings per if you get 12. They also make their own cakes and cookies like macarons.
O. M. G. Wow I'm blown away how good the cupcake and rainbow cookies are that I bought. This place has been on my radar for a long time now and finally was in the area to check it out. Everything looked amazing. So hard to pick what cupcake I wanted. I saw the rainbow cookie crumb cake that was recommended I try and it was enormous. May try that next time but I am so happy I finally got a chance to try this place out.
Saw Caked Up Cafe initially on instagram and had been waiting for that time to try their goodies. And that time was Christmas eve lol We ordered 6 cupcakes (blue & red velvet, chocolate, pumpkin, eggnog and carrot) and they were all delicious. My initial impression was "meh they probably just sell pretty cupcakes but flavor is mediocre" but that was not actually the case. Their cupcakes had a nice sweetness and flavor! We enjoyed the carrot so much. What was supposed to be just "I'll just eat one" became "fine i'll eat them all" LOL cupcakes are pretty but they deserve to be eaten! We ordered their christmas cake too. It looked festive but I enjoyed the cupcakes more than the cake itself. Our pups also loved their pupcakes. They actually feel soft and moist, not like other dog cakes that are hard and so solid. Glad we got those for them. Some cons for me personally is that they are located far and that they are pricey. But purchasing occasionally doesnt sound so bad. Right?
We as a society apparently decided 15 years ago that every day was some type of random, invented holiday (probably connected with the rise of social media). Last Thursday morning, I discovered I had stumbled onto National Cupcake Day. Out of curiosity I confirmed that there WAS actually a pretty legitimate spot to celebrate this hallowed occasion about 15 minutes from my office, so I trekked over at lunchtime to investigate and do my part. I parked across the street in a strip mall but it looks like Caked Up actually has their own parking lot behind the establishment - definitely would have been a little less chaotic if I had noticed that first. For some reason I always think that every other person in the universe must also be celebrating these holidays (I still get shizzle from my chums for dragging them out of bed at the crack of dawn on Presidents Day a few years ago because I thought there would be a line at Grant's Tomb. There was not.), so I was a little surprised not to see much action at a cupcake place on a cupcake-centric day of celebration. There were about three other customers in there but it was pretty low key. They have a nice set up; lots of pastry-like options to peruse and a pretty spacious storefront to look around. I went right to the front counter where the cupcakes were hanging out in all of their glory. I got a more chocolate-centric one for a co-worker (Hot Cocoa) but the Blue Velvet caught my eye and had to come back as well. The fellow behind the counter was very friendly and professional, and bonus points - knew it was a cupcake holiday. Way to stay informed. Each cupcake was about $4, which I thought was a pretty competitive price point in this day and age. It's a legit cupcake and you're also getting a pleasing optic for the Gram account if needed. I was a fan of the Blue Velvet. It was a LITTLE heavy for my taste (but honestly, I'm such a barbarian when it comes to cupcake - my go-to is a DIY funfetti from the box, so grain of salt) but definitely hit the spot. Also a personal palate preference - I like a decent cake to icing equilibrium, and photogenic cupcakes tend to have a bit too much frosting for me. I definitely scraped off some before consuming so I didn't end up with mouthfuls of nothing but icing. Definitely a fun little treat and I saw enough here to go back for more, though I'd like to investigate some of the other offerings on display as well. Maybe once I've burned off the Christmas calories.
Beautifully designed cupcakes and unique flavors. The maple bacon cupcake is my favorite. I respect the artistry and creativity that goes into the design and flavors, but I feel like they are overpriced. There have been times I've ordered cupcakes that have just been average. It seemed like they were refrigerated, because the cake itself was slightly dry, and the icing was not smooth. With that being said, I feel like there is too much icing at times and it is overly sweet. There have been times I've stopped by and been helped by some younger staff members behind the counter that seem like they could care less about their job or providing good customer service. They act like you're bothering them if you ask questions. I feel like the service can be better, especially for the prices you're paying for each cupcake. Overall, I would say 3.5 out of 5.
Went passed this cafe a few months ago after a doctors appointment and thought "what a cute place!" My cousin ended up mentioning it to me since she lives nearby and said I definitely had to check it out. So 2 weeks ago I finally did and I'm sooo happy I did. Caked Up is probably the cutest cafe I've ever been in!!! The desserts all look AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS and I couldn't make up my mind as to what I wanted to order. I bought a few things to try and can't wait to go back and try other items they have. They are a bit on the pricey side but it's good to splurge a little once in a while!
Picked up my custom cake today - service was quick and incredibly friendly. Had a lovely experience overall. THE CAKE! So perfect, so gorgeous. Total art. It hurt my soul when we had to take it apart and cut it!!
I purchased a ready made cake for my son's birthday. I've heard good things about this place from co-workers, have seen lines outside the shop when I drive by, so I decided to try it. The cake itself was picture perfect, reasonably priced. My son wanted a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, so I purchased the cookies n cream cake. Service was quick and friendly. On to the tasting.... After the pomp and circumstances of singing and blowing the candles, I cut in. It was just as pretty on the in the inside. The icing to cake ratio was like 5:1. OMG this is one SWEET cake. People were literally cutting the icing away from the cake, me as well. Thank goodness I had no creamer in my coffee, it helped cut through ALL THAT SUGAR. Don't get me wrong the cake was delicious. The chocolate cake was firm but moist, the icing was definitely cookies and cream. Even my son, who loves a good chocolate cake left some on his plate because, "it's too much" and it wasn't a large piece. If you've got a major SWEET tooth, no worries come to caked up. I don't know if I'd buy a cake here again. I did buy a dozen macarons, I haven't tucked into those yet.... another post at a later date.
Wow this is a very creative and original bakery with not your run of the mill cupcakes and cakes. You have to go in and see all they have. Parking lot in rear.
The decor of this place is beautiful. The flowers outside of the door give this store such a nice finish. The display of desserts left me stunned. There were so many cupcakes to choose from. I ordered the chicken and waffle cupcake, red velvet, triple berry cheesecake, and the tiramisu. My favorite was the chicken and waffle cupcake. It was just so tasty. If you get a chance definitely try this dessert. I also ordered a strawberry shortcake cake as a birthday cake. The cake had a pretty decor. But I was a little disappointed that the inside didn't have fruit. There was just more icing on the inside. Overall, I liked the cupcakes and would definitely come back.
Caked up is the best local stop for deserts and pastries of all kind. Specialty cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, gluten free macaroons, you name it! Favorites are the breakfast cupcakes and liquor infused for birthdays :) they even sometimes have cupcakes for your puppy ! Can't get enough !
Awesome cake shop with tons of varieties. 20 different cupcakes all with great flavor. Insanely thick Crumbcake. It's everything you want and need

Found this place after searching for a bakery that wouldn't break the bank but also delivered on quality not only hype--Caked Up achieved it! I stopped in after work and was greeted by the friendly staff at the counter, who helped me choose and answered my questions about their different fillings. All the treats are displayed in a glass case, and let me tell you, they taste just as amazing as they look. I went with the strawberry cheesecake, dulce de leche, and Samoa cookie cupcakes. I also got a massive slice of their Italian Rainbow Crumb slice(it felt like half a pound!)--so moist, soft, and packed with flavor. Not to mention, I grabbed a 1/2 lbs chocolate chip cookie and three doggie treats (my pup Abbie gives them 5/5 paws!). They even offer a 4% discount for cash payments, which was a nice perk. As you can see from the pictures, everything looks incredible, but one bite proved it's not just about appearance. The flavors are bold, the icing complements the cake perfectly, and the cupcake cream is luxuriously rich. If you're looking for delicious, fun cakes that won't disappoint, I highly recommend Caked Up Cafe 5/5 stars! read more

Everything about this bakery is beautiful. For starters this bakery is located across the street from dominos pizza, it right in the corner! Once you open the door you will get the feeling that "I'm walking in the red carpet" the bright lights from the place makes you feel fancy! The smell, as you turn the corner just makes you want to try every cupcake in display once you step in! Beside being delicious, their cupcakes are pretty creative! I tried the pumpkin with actual small pancakes on top and WOW, they were amazing!!! My husband had the cupcake with chicken and waffles on top and he loved it! We also brought a chocolate one (forgot what it's called, and I loved it!) I definitely love that there are many different selections of cupcakes and friendly staff! They have a limited selection of stuffed cookies, and have the option of baking designer cakes (I have not tried yet)! Will return to try more cupcakes! read more

Atmosphere is impossibly adorable, and the food is even better. Selection of inspired cupcakes are really fun. The cake is super moist and the icing has the perfect level of sweet and buttery ratio. Chicken and waffle topping was so fresh, I could have eating a large scale for a meal! French toast exuded all the right flavors. Really just the best cupcakes you will taste. Also, complete impulse buy of the gorgeous rainbow crumb cake on display. It was so good!! The chocolate on top was really rich, the crumb dense, and the cake sumptuous! read more

My sister got me a rainbow cookie crumb cake and chicken and waffle cupcake from their pop up store in the city. I was definitely impressed with both of these pastries. If you're a fan of rainbow cookies, the crumb cake is definitely for you! It's a bit lighter than the rainbow cookie hence it is supposed to be a crumb cake. The crumb cake was a about the size of my hand and super filling I must say. The flavors resembled a rainbow cookie and the texture closer to a crumb cake. Definitely a fan! I've had chicken and waffle cupcakes from other bakeries before, this one is a bit different because there is a mini waffle on top.. although a bit stale, the flavor was definitely in the cupcake, a mix of sweet and savory, could be because they baked a popcorn chicken inside the cupcake! First time I've had that. While everything was on the sweeter side, I still felt that there was flavor in their pastries and not just sugar overload, excited to try their other offerings. read more

Caked up cafe by far has to be one of the best bakeries to get a cake for an event. I heard about them when my sister moved to the area and I've purchased three different orders from here for birthday parties and they have yet to disappoint! A lot of times you find very beautiful decorative cakes that taste horrible but whatever they use is amazing. I've tried their strawberry shortcake and cookies and cream cakes and both were delicious everyone was raving about them. I recently ordered the girl scout cookie cupcakes along with the cannoli and half baked cupcakes and they were also phenomenal! I literally love this place and i would recommend them for any event because they are so incredibly talented and make the cutest cakes and treats. I followed them on Instagram not to long who and I was so surprised at how detailed they get with some of the custom Designs. I would recommend them 10/10 very friendly staff and they will literally design any cake you want. read more

I purchased my 30 birthday bday cake from this bakery and it was nothing short of amazing!! The detail of the cake was spot on to the photo that I provided. They were very nice during our consultation and attentive to what I wanted. I was more than happy when it was delivered to our venue and even more pleased at the taste of the cakes. Each tier was a different flavor. My favorite was the French toast layer . So good!! read more

I had the chance to pick up goodies from Caked Up at the #Instayum food festival at Garden State Plaza Mall. I had a -red velvet cupcake with Cannoli frosting and topped with chocolate covered Cannoli. The cake was moist. I ate the whole thing. I also had the -rainbow cookie coffee crumb cake. The Clarke and layers were just the right flavor but the crumb was actually so buttery it kinda dissolved. Regardless thus tasted great but I did share it. They make a nice product. read more

Absolutely love Caked Up! Ordered a 1st birthday cake and a 30th birthday cake - both were just as beautiful as they were delicious! The cake flavor options are so unique it's hard to choose which to order. We had the churro and espresso brownie with buttercream; they were hands down some of the best cakes I have ever had. Ashley was great to work with, took all of my cake ideas and made them a reality. My dog also loved the pup cakes! For sure a talented team at Caked up! read more

I have a very special story about this place. This is my son's favorite place, especially their chicken waffle cupcake. Him and his wife ordered from here for their wedding and have been ordering for every special event ever since. So when we had a very tragic loss in our family I wanted to bring my son chicken waffle cupcakes when visiting after we had said goodbye to our loved one. I called ahead and they said they had plenty of those cupcakes. I had a long day so when I arrived and they told me that they had ran out of the chicken cupcakes I panicked. I purchased his next favorite which were the pancake bacon, and Oreo cupcake but left disappointed. I also purchased one princess cupcake to represent the soul we lost. My daughter in law called and spoke to Kevin and explained the situation. Even though it was 4:30 in the afternoon he told her that he would make me fresh chicken waffle cupcakes if I could come back In an hour. I went back at 5:30, when they closed at 6 they had the chicken cupcakes ready, warm and freshly baked. Let's just say that this little thing made a big difference. Thank you Kevin for the kind gesture and of course the delicious cupcakes. I work for the county and will definitely be letting everyone know how special this place is for many reasons! read more

Amazing Cupcakes!!! Not only are they super cute the cupcakes are amazing. The only down side is that I moved away and won't be able to get cupcakes more often. I have ordered cupcakes from here twice and have loved them both times! The cupcakes themselves taste delicious, but I think the best part is how cute they are decorated!! I think the breakfast themed cupcakes are adorable and so detailed - with mini slabs of butter and syrup on top of the pancakes! All of the desserts are so creative here! read more
