My 2nd time using McCrumbs Bakery & they're amazing! With short notice, Randy was able to deliver my daughter's cake and it was a hit! The design and flavors were exceptional! I wont go anywhere else for cakes!

Pecan danish

Super friendly local bakery with a great assortment of delish pastries, pies and cupcakes. The pecan danish is so good, light pastry loaded with pecan topped with a sweet drizzle!

Daniel Tiger "smash cake" for our son's first birthday.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. I have had just about everything they offer from cookies to danish to apple crumb cakes and fruit pies to Italian pastry and croissants. Most importantly our son's smash cake that they made custom for his first birthday was everything we asked and more. Randy got it done despite having a ton of orders to fulfill. He loved the cake and the adults raved about the cupcakes that we served with it

Best bakery! They always do an amazing job. Showed a photo and made the cake. Delicious and beautiful!

Despite a misspelling with attempted improvision, a delicious, not too sweet cannoli cake with ?? unknown icing & a toasty cannoli on top

My nursing staff wanted to buy a "farewell" cake for a peer's new job. Since we work nights, we were glad that after work at 7am, this bakery [down the street!!] was open to take our order :) There are no updated menu pictures except the one posted from a fellow Yelper 2 years ago & guided in us what this bakery offered. I absolutely refused getting buttercream (being scarred from Shop Rite's). So my coworker spoke to whomever & ordered just a "cannoli cake". Not sure exactly what icing was used, but for sure it was cannoli stuffed with a lovely toasty (NOT soggy cannoli yayyy!) presented on top. My coworker said that she spoke with someone about being able to pick up the cake at 6:30pm & was almost disappointed when she arrived & seemed they were about to close up shop imagining what would have happened if she came a bit late. Anyways, cake was received & found the cake to be misspelled as "Fairwell". Disappointed but in a hurry, she just took the cake. Even if spelling could make one upset, the cake was generously large for $30... this cake gave about 20 nice slices & we were happy about that even though, it took some improvision to correct the spelling. The cake was lovely decorated & tasted great. It was not dry, not too sweet & had a delicious cannoli filling with choco chips. Our staff marveled about how NOT sweet it was. That is the reason why this cake is being glorified. The generous portion, the cake texture, taste & filling won our nightly gluttonous nursing stomachs. We will be ordering for more celebrations from here for sure, conveniently & happily.

Best Danish I've hand in a real long time. Just loved it. Great job. Everything looked super fresh and I'll be back very soon but next time I'm coming early.

We used this bakery for our daughter's bridal shower, and they were great! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and pretty! The cake I ordered was gorgeous, and he added more to make it pretty than I expected! The staff is friendly and their pricing is more than fair ! Will be going here regularly!

Flourless chocolate cake

Mccrum's opened down the street from my office so my coworker convinced me to go try it out. The shop is pretty small, mostly standing room with a large display case of the pastries for sale. I remember a small (1 table?) seating area by the door. The guy behind the counter seems like a nice guy. He knows his product and was able to accurately describe what anything I ordered would be like. So far, I've had the apple turnovers, apple strudel, fruit tarts, and flourless chocolate cake. All of them were delicious. But as the guy said, the flourless chocolate cake was extremely rich and heavy. I didn't finish it. Maybe I'll try this place out for a custom cake.

Beautiful 2-tier ombre unicorn cake. Absolutely delicious buttercream icing and cake flavors.

To most Polish Americans, National Pączki Day means making a ton of these delicious sweets and…read morebinge-eating them. It is celebrated the Thursday in the week before Ash Wednesday, whose tradition is unique since it dates back to at least the Middle Ages, and is the perfect excuse to eat the famous and delicious Polish pastry. Pączki, pronounced "poonch-key," are Polish deep-fried donuts that are filled with some sweet filling such as jam, custard, lemon curd, or chocolate. They are usually covered with powdered sugar, icing, glaze, or dried orange zest. Located on Jewell Street in Garfield, we've been coming here to Kohout Bakery for a couple of years. Greeted by the friendly staff, my partner and I were lucky to have the whole establishment to ourselves. Like a step back in time, this small bakery sells freshly made bread, danishes, cookies, strudel, and some deli meats. Patrons have raved about the perfect balance of flavors, particularly noting the distinction between glazed and powdered jelly varieties. We picked out a couple of their donuts, whose price was very reasonable and cash only. This bakery continues to celebrate the joy of baking and the flavors of generations past, which we can recommend.

My favorite -and I order ahead - is their Polish rice cake :) The cookies are gone before a day goes by! Oh, and try their macaroni salad. Yummy! This shoppe feels like 1969 and I mean that in the very best way! Go and enjoy a little of everything The staff will help you describing what you don't recognize. I could go on and on. Park wherever your car fits. It's on Kohout's Way and they don't ticket. Cash only. ATM across the street. Plan to smile when you get home :) Your car will smell delicious too!

They also have beautiful garden seating. I ordered Turkish coffee, fresh grapefruit juice, Gurmanski dorucak, mini burek with spinach and cheese, and fruit cake. I love Turkish coffee and this was very good. The juice was tart and delicious. The breakfast platter was a showstopper. Two fried eggs, tomato, feta, two meat patties, and homemade bread. The flavors of the meat blew my mind. Who knew that Croatians make the most delicious burgers. This is a hearty and fantastic dish. Also, the burek was flaky and light and not very mini. I took home the cake and enjoyed it later. Light, delicate and not overly sweet, this was a star. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you should stop in for any meal. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and you get a lot of bang for your buck. I can't wait to r

Cafe Bubamara delivers a warm, attentive dining experience with service that feels both welcoming…read moreand well-organized. Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.
