    Grass fed burger with salad
    Elizabeth F.

Such a gem! Stopped in looking for lunch and coffee after an unsuccessful attempt elsewhere. Parking is up by the front near a 20 minutes limit sign. I checked with the restaurant and that's the place to park, no need to worry about the sign while dining. The spot is a cute and reminds me of the area's charm. I come in after 11:20, so it's a strange period with breakfast wrapping up and lunch starting at 11:30. I asked if I could order from the lunch menu. The server checked and good to go. I ordered the burger (comes with havarti cheese and bacon) and salad in lieu of chips. I get a number and sit. It takes about 15 minutes before it comes out. When it does, it smells delightful from the melted cheese. The salad was very good and sizeable. The burger itself is cooked medium and quite juicy. The bun is well buttered and had a slight toast to it. Definitely a great bargain for $10.

Solid burger and chips - delivered well and tasted great. It's great to have a solid delivery spot in the area because standouts in that space are hard to come by in Bergen County. Welcome to the neighborhood y'all - keep up the good work.

So thrilled to find a grass-fed burger and amazing homemade chips for delivery! Everything was fresh and scrumptious! Not always easy to find healthier options via delivery so I'll definitely be ordering from here again. Sooo yummy!

Hidden gem. Exquisite brunch. Had the eggs hollondaise gluten free version and my friend had the big breakfast--I'll be back.

Just had their new burger - AMAZING!

This is my first return in nearly a year and I had hopes based on prior experience. Let's start food wise. The ahi tuna salad is still good but pales in comparison to similar poke bowls less than a mile away but nearly twice the price. Their seafood chowder is clam chowder trying to disguise itself as bad jambalaya and failing at both. Their loaded baked potato might be the best item on the menu but that's not saying a lot since it's still COLD in the middle. But the service-that has gone in the tank. Inattentive servers who wouldn't leave a bottle of tap water at your table but rather leave you high and dry for 15+ minutes at a time. Bartenders who cannot operate the tv as well as my 12 year old and leave scoreguides blocking half the screen despite requests. Rude. Inattentive. Worthless. Their cocktails are as expensive as they are unimaginative and relatively tasteless. Their key lime pie is laughably bad by even northern Florida standards. "We do seafood, steak and sushi but none of it well" should be their motto. Oh. And despite being attached to the hotel you cannot charge to your room so enjoy that fellow business traveler-no points for you. Their best asset is their ambiance which while still louder than a sports arena is still pretty. But like a gorgeous love interest with no talent or brains it's best left with a hearty handshake and goodbye.

The restaurant is very pretty overall, though the interior is quite dim, making it difficult to read the menu without additional light. The tables were also placed fairly close together. Our server was polite and welcoming throughout the evening. We started with the Korean fried chicken and tuna tataki. The chicken was moist and coated in a sweet and spicy sauce. The tuna tataki was flavorful; however, the taro chips were very thin and tended to break easily when holding the tuna. For our main courses, we ordered the Icelandic cod, rigatoni, Freebird chicken, and a side of whipped potatoes. Dessert was the hazelnut chocolate crunch, which was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, the food was enjoyable. That said, the pricing felt more in line with a fine dining experience, while the atmosphere and service were closer to an upscale casual restaurant. Some small details, such as the whipped potatoes being served without a serving spoon, stood out. While minor, these details can make a difference, especially at this price point.

Portions were just right for fine dining. Service on a Saturday night was very good, and the ambiance was dim, romantic, and perfect for the occasion. One thing I really appreciated was that no one was on their phones--it made the atmosphere feel more present (even felt a little awkward taking photos). We brought our own wine, and pricing is comparable to other higher-end restaurants. Overall, a memorable dinner and we'd definitely return.

I work in Times Square so I'm used to eating at Michelin star quality restaurants. Saddle River Inn has better food than most restaurants in the city. The ambience is rustic. It's like a big barn. Romantic if you want to take a date. BYOB. The service is impeccable. Shout out to general manager Andrew, and the wait team of James, Rick, and Rudy who took care of us all night. We started off with a crab cake, their new truffle grilled cheese, and their lobster roll which was a special. The lobster roll, prepared Maine style with caviar on top, was really delicious. The truffle grilled cheese could be skipped if you don't like an overwhelming truffle taste. And I've had better crab cakes but it was by no means bad. For entrees, my party of 3 split everything. We had the lamb chops, the scallops, the duck, butternut squash ravioli, and 2 lobster tail accompaniments along with a side of brussel sprouts. Each thing was better than the next. My favorite dish was actually the ravioli. Very creative flavors. For dessert, we had a toffee cake/pudding, peanut butter mousse, and scoops of brown butter and vanilla ice cream. All in, the bill came out to $445 and we brought our own beer and wine. After a nice 33% tip for exquisite service, I'd actually say this place is a bargain, relative to the quality of food you get, compared to a lot of NYC fine dining restaurants. It's pretty hard to get a reservation. But now that they opened up on Sunday evenings, you might have better luck! I will be back and I hope this review convinces others to try this restaurant. It's truly a gem in north Jersey.

I suggest you head towards the houses, away from town, if you can't find a spot. I've been anxious to try this place as the pictures look solid enough and reviewers thus far seem content. My wife and I entered with plans to have beer and apps. We ended up getting Guinness, onion rings, fried calamari and the Cooper's Burger. You can't beat a 22oz Guinness for $8. The prices on their website also match what you'll see inside. Lately I find so many restaurants are charging more than they advertise online. Service was great, friendly and very attentive. I was also surprised to see how well they clean tables between customers. Spray, wipe table, wipe lamp, shakers, etc. It's totally clean for the next customer. There are only 8 or so tables in here, plus bar seating. We enjoyed some comfy seats at a high top table for two. The onion rings were great - crisp and battered nicely so they hold together. While almost a little overcooked, they were still good and better than I had at the last high end steakhouse I went to. The fried calamari was fairly priced and a good portion. It had a light crispness, though bigger pieces would've been nicer. They were mostly small, but certainly a lot of it. The accompanying marinara was good and plentiful. We got the Cooper's Burger cooked medium and it came out medium. It's a simple burger that comes with lettuce and tomato. Some red onion wouldn't been nice. They charge extra for all sorts of stuff you can get on top - fried mushrooms, fried onions, eggs, etc. It also comes with fries, which were good. Overall, it was a nice cozy time. Several middle aged couples ate here that night and a couple small groups. No loud bar crowds as they're all on central avenue. In fact, I was surprised how nice the acoustics were inside. You can hear people at your table no problem, can hear the music inside at the right level and don't hear a lot of background chatter or noise. I'd most certainly return if in the mood for pub food. And ... No credit card fee!

Most meals came out around 12:30, but one gluten-free order was completely mishandled. One person in our group did not receive their food with the rest of us. We waited over 20 minutes while everyone else ate, and by the time we were finishing, he had only been given a small side of eggs, his main dish (gluten-free French toast) still had not arrived. We asked staff multiple times, politely, and were consistently dismissed. No eye contact, no updates, no urgency. Our server was absent for long periods (10-15 minutes at a time), drinks were empty, and no one took responsibility for fixing the issue. By 1:10 PM, over an hour after being seated, the full order still hadn't come out. At that point, we had no choice but to ask for it to be wrapped to go, since the rest of us had already finished eating. The most concerning part was the manager's response. After calmly explaining the situation, there was no apology, no attempt to correct the experience, and no effort to take accountability. Saying "I'll talk to your server" and leaving it at that is not an acceptable response to a clear service breakdown. This wasn't just a delay, it was a complete lack of coordination, communication, and basic customer service. Mishandling a gluten-free order and then ignoring the table is unacceptable. The food itself was good, but the way this was handled reflects very poorly on the staff and management. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this location based on this experience.
