Always a delicious meal whether it's breakfast or lunch! Their strawberry basil lemonade is an absolute must have as it's not too sweet and perfectly refreshing for the summer weather. There were a bunch of breakfast specials and we both ordered the lady liberty. You get all of their best: French toast, bacon, sausage, and two eggs your way. The French toast is always perfect and crisp. Their bacon is good quality and crunchy. The sausage here is hands down my favorite in the area as you can enjoy the crisp outer skin and a delicious sausage inside. Eggs here are great as they get them from Goffle Farms. I always prefer over easy. The toast here is always amazing and delicious as they use quality bread. Service is good however when we went to pay I was standing up at the counter and the girl working the register took people on line behind me as if she didn't see me. I was visiting a friend and we stopped in for breakfast. It is such a cute little cafe, everything in the pastry box looked amazing. We sat down and had one of their specialty lattes which was to die for. Ordered French toast nuggets to share and then our breakfast entrees. Went for brunch yesterday. This place does not disappoint. We were seated right away which is rare there's usually a wait since it's so small and popular but we were there at the right time, after breakfast and before lunch. My mom had French toast which she loved, my step daughter had a waffle with whipped cream and strawberries. We had a slice of banana bread that was great. I ordered the avocado toast with eggs over medium and they were cooked perfectly. The bread and avocado with arugula was delicious. Side of bacon was cooked to perfection. Coffee, and hot chocolate were a hit. I ordered iced coffee and when we were leaving I asked for a to go cup and was given one with some extra coffee to make it a full cup. Mother's Day 2026. My order was to picked up at 11:45am. Total disaster. Line out the door at 11:45. Took 20 minutes to get in, and the man in front of me (holding his daughter's hand) was told "sorry, we do t have your order, do you want to cancel it?" Our server Rich was terrible. my veggie sandwich came out at least 5 minutes before my husband's chicken sandwich And the fries we ordered came out minutes after his sandwich. Rick didn't bring our water, coffee or food. Another server brought it who was working the outside tables too. We asked her for a coffee refill and water refill. She only brought the coffee. Rich walked by and I asked him for water as it was my only drink in a small glass. He never brought it. Again, I asked the other server who brought out our food for water and she brought it. It should take 3 asks to get a water refill. She also cleared out table so we asked her for the check. She said Rich would bring it out. We waited...5 minutes and nothing. I went inside to get the check and Rich was sitting at the counter EATING!!!. He didn't even apologize about not getting the check. Cute little restaurant in Ramsey. Went in toward the end of the day for brunch and luckily didn't have to wait for a table. Ordered the burrito and vegetable omelet. Both were good but my burrito was markedly better than the omelette. Dining room is small so you may smell like burnt bacon when you leave. This place was delightful. It's always a struggle to find good gluten free options for my girlfriend, and when you do they usually aren't that good. But the gluten free options at Giovanna's were incredible! She had the French toast and the banana bread and was thrilled with how the food came out! The staff was very sweet and helpful, we walked into a packed restaurant thinking it would take forever to get seated, but we were at a table not too long after! Great little diner type vibe in the middle of Ramsey with pretty great food, or so my buddy says. I had the grilled Goeffle-Farm chicken with broccoli rabe, mozz and roasted red peppers on ciabatta bread... Excellent place to eat and feel welcome! We are visiting in town and we looked up great breakfast & brunch spots. Giovanna's was a top Yelp choice and so we came here. BEST DECISION EVER! We were greeted by the owner at the entrance and she instantly extended us a warm welcome. We had a choice of seating outside or inside and we chose inside; outside seating was beautiful too. This restauranteur knows her stuff, we were highly impressed. From the customer friendly staff (she leads by example) to the last delicious bite of our meals, and even the freshly made desserts that we brought home, everything was TOP NOTCH and PERFECT! We ordered: 1 Decaf Coffee, 1 Regular Coffee, 1 Frittata Breakfast with House Salad, 1 Forte D'Italia Omelette (Authentic Italian Sausage + Peppers, Onions & Cheese) with Giovanna's Home style potatoes and delicious sourdough toast. The food came out in perfect time, and it was fantastic. The sausage in my omelette was on point and super flavorful. I was VERY impressed with the freshly made berry butter that they churn/mix up on site. They also have a honey cinnamon butter...freshly mixed. No home fries were LEGIT and I was happy, thank you! We opted to take our Key Lime Pie to go and the owner sent us home with a complimentary delicious freshly baked giant biscuit with the yummy berry butter, honey cinnamon butter, strawberry jelly, & regular butter. OMG, ALL DELICIOUS! We definitely felt welcome and even spoke to a table next to us with awesome customers who absolutely love this place as well. What a wonderful experience we had and we appreciate it all. Lovely experience for brunch. The staff is welcoming and the service is great. Stumbled upon here on a Sunday after visiting the market. It was definitely busy but worth the 30 minute wait. For drinks we had the fresh squeezed Oj, which was nice, and coffee. For food we tried the green garden omelette and the la florentina. Both were so great and come with potatoes on the side as well as toast. What really got my heart was the pumpkin patch pancakes (3). These were light and not too heavy. I have been coming to Giovanna's ever since I moved to Ramsey. Almost 2 years ago. You can make no wrong choices with anything you get here, eat in or take out. My personal favorites to take out are the scones. They are made fresh and have different flavors everyday and are so delicious. It's a constant craving that I have so I often stop by and grab them at their to go location behind the shop. I have eaten in the restaurant about 3 times now and the service never disappoints. The food comes out quickly unless they are very busy, but the servers always have a great attitude. I have gotten the viva L'Italia omelette which didn't suit my taste buds due to the saltiness of the prosciutto, but it is exactly what is advertised on the menu. Their eggs Benedicts are only served as weekend brunch specials and that was so delicious, I wish it was served all the time. The serving size for it is great as well. I have also had had the green garden omelette which I liked, but the steak and eggs my fiancé ordered were perfect. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, was tender and juicy and I regretted not ordering the same as him. Overall a very very good brunch place with solid baked goods as well. I'm sure lunch would be just as great and their specials are always so interesting (I always want to try them!) However, beware: weekends, especially Sundays, are sometimes super packed, and the restaurant is cozy, but on the smaller side, so come early. On weekdays there is rarely a wait time though. read more

Today, as always, the place was packed. The staff are wonderful and have a good turn around time on the tables. We were lucky to wait about 5-10 minutes. Although the regular menu is always good, they have delicious specials. My mom go the short stack of French toast and I did the Candy Apple French toast from the specials. The apples were melt in your mouth good, and while sweet, it wasn't too over powering. They make their own fresh orange juice which is the perfect addition for your breakfast meal. OMG! We are visiting the area and we were looking for a simple coffee shop; low and behold Yelp led us to Giovanna's Cafe. Our experience was well beyond our expectations. Honestly we didn't know what to expect. Upon parking we approached the front door only to be greeted by Giovanna herself and it was treat! I had the frittata with salad and my wife had the sausage omelette. It had an Italian name of course. It is Italian style bistro after all. The frittata was well sized, and a value for its price. It had bacon and potatoes inside and was scrumptious and flavorful. It was cooked just right throughout. It normally comes with fresh fruit, however, I chose to have it with salad and avocado. The food was timely and absolutely delicious. Giovanna and her staff were absolutely attentive to us making for a wonderful experience in the small town.
