TAKEOUT REVIEW: Last Thursday, I placed a takeout order for a small group lunch at noon. I arrived a few minutes before the tavern opened, and waited with another customer at the door. The front house were friendly when letting us inside and with handling orders. They use handheld point of sale devices for orders, and then you wait by the bar area for ring up. Reminder: CASH ONLY. I was ready. The lady who rang me up and handed me my pies asked if I needed plates and napkins, which was nice. We had stuff so I just took the pies and headed out. The pizza was a hit at lunch! I ordered one large plain and one large with 1/2 mini meatball and 1/2 homemade sliced meatball. This was my first time trying their meatball slices and I'd say it's now one of my favorites. Kinchley's is my favorite pizza spot in NJ - this is not an exaggeration. Their fra pie is the one, iykyk. Their buffalo chicken is a close 2nd whenever we go with a group. Their pastas, salads are also standouts. Some of the veg dishes can be a hit or miss depending on the day, but their pies never miss. We always take our friends and family from out of town to Kinchley's and they have nothing but compliments about the food. We've also gotten catering from them previously for one of our wedding events and they were reliable, on time and delivered the same well made food we've had in-person. read more

we ordered pizzas for the office. my boss went to go pick up a couple pies. these are thin crust bar pies type of pizza. i enjoyed it. the thing about these thin crust pizzas you can eat a couple slices before getting full unlike a regular pizza where i can only eat 1-2 slices. my boss ordered them about 25 mins before lunch and by the time he went there they were ready for him and we had a total of 6 pies. we got a couple of different toppings: buffalo chicken, white sauce, plain cheese, pepperoni, and sausage. i didn't take pictures of the pies because everyone dug in right away. the best time to eat the pizza when its still hot and fresh. we order here often. this place is consistently good. if you are in the ramsey area i would recommend stopping by and trying it. read more

Everything we tried was amazing, but the pizza was the start of the show. Particularly, the creamed spinach pie which was packed with flavor. In a quest to try NJ's best pizza, we ended up here on a busy Saturday. We arrived at about 5:15pm and had to wait about 20 mins for a table for party of 4. The pretzel was a little greasy but ofc great and the meatballs were really good too. We tried the Kreamed Spinach and a classic plain. This is classic crispy bar pie and very crispy, light, delicious. If you like thin pizza with a crunch, this if for you. They also have a reasonably priced kids menu if your kid says "no pizza" then proceeds to eat pizza. The kids penne was well cooked with a healthy portion for $8.50. All the food was reasonably priced so another big plus. One bite gave this a 7.5, that is not accurate! Great thin crust pizza! I haven't been here in quite a few years, and nothing has changed. Always busy and they have amazing food. There was about a 10 min wait, but we sat at the bar & ordered a large pie with garlic & black olives... mouthwatering! While waiting for our food, I enjoyed a Kinchleys Red and watched sports on their tvs. There was only one friendly waitress behind the bar and she was really hustling, but we were patient. I've been passing by this place multiple times before trying it out and it always looked packed. Very casual setting and mixed crowd. Friendly laid back staff provide good service. They have great beer selection which I enjoyed. "Garbage" Pizza pie we ordered had literally everything on it and was great, but sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste (maybe because of contrast with savory toppings which also were heavy on the crust). Calamari and pretzel sticks were delicious but side cheese sauce was not good. CASH ONLY for payments, which I think should be directly stated at tables or menu. I saw old signs saying 'no checks or credit cards' (which who uses checks now to pay in restaurants today, plus there are debit cards) that were in between other old decorative signs so the message was not very clear/obvious. It only made sense after our server informed us of such policy. We love Kinchleys! We've been coming here for over 4 decades! They have the best pizza! We love the thin crust. We moved 2.5 hours away, but still return for our favorite pizza. I wish they would go back to "no reservations" though. I don't love staring at empty tables while waiting. Some tables sat empty for the entire 15/20 min we were waiting.
