DELICIOUS!!!! So yummy -- the jalapeño poppers were actually the best. Which is why they didn't even make the picture; they were gone within seconds on our table. A restaurant friendly for kids, friends, families, small and large groups! Our server was awesome and took great care of our group of 9. It was a little crowded and busy however we arrived with a reservation handy! I'd recommend making one if planning a visit over the weekend.

Heard a lot about Nellie's and I am glad I tried. The bar area is as old school as you can get. The bartender was a nice fella and I believe has been there for a long time. They have thin crust pizza that you can order crispy or well done. I ordered it crispy but would probably do it well done next time. Had one with sausage and one with pepperoni. Both were good. I wouldn't mind coming back.

The pizza is delicious thin crust and deserves 5 stars. We get takeout from here frequently and should probably stick with that. The old dining room needs some TLC. There was a thick layer of dust on the ledge next to our booth and the woman at the hostess stand was pretty gruff or I would have asked to sit in the newer room by the bar. I think I did see a sign that they would be renovating soon, so hopefully it will soon be worthy of their stellar pizza.

I've been to Nellies Place before but not in a long time. My husband and I went on Saturday night early and the place was already slammed. I've been there before earlier in the day and it is always busy. They have parking in the front and a lot of parking in the back and it all does get filled . There is normally a wait. We were lucky enough to find a seat at the bar where my husband could stand and we ordered a few drinks. The bartender was outstanding. She never stopped. She was also extremely attentive and made a very good cosmopolitan for myself and my husband enjoyed a few glasses of Guinness. We decided to order the Irish nachos because I've seen them there before and they looked good and wow, they were delicious. The serving of them was huge and enough for us to split and we were full. They have homemade potato chips on top and then topped with lots of corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. They were so unique and really good. We were so full after we didn't even have room to get a pizza like we originally planned. We will definitely be back. This is a great place to go for a drink, to split a pizza, or out to dinner with the family.

Woahhhh Nellie, let's reel back the horses for a moment. Linguini B is here to partially halt the breaks on this Thin Crust choo choo train. We all know what recently happened. Mr. Portnoy... creator of the StoolieVerse left a bewildering and bold review of this spot, flipping Bergen County onto it's head and spinning it around in circles like a cardboard box break dancer. (But without the cardboard and without the knitted cap.) Minds boggled, brains busted, skulls bloodied and scarred with the circular scrapes one gets from spinning their noggins on concrete... more simply put the neighborhood was either cheering or jeering. A rivalry that Linguini B had to get to the bottom of. Once and for all. A Wednesday night in December. The town is bustling. Kinchley's and Nellie's are packed houses! The news brought out the supporters of each and the venturers who now wanted skin in the game. Why not then, I said, choose Nellie's as I have never frequented. With lofty expectations and a stomach ready to plow through and chow up some pizza and wings... I entered the establishment. Immediately, I am a fan of the spot. Nice vibe, huge space, large bar, booths and tables alike. Real facility they got here. The atmosphere was that of a playoff game. Either that was all in my head or the heaviness of the air that DaveyP facilitated was tangible. I lean the second. Expectations rising, the hype is bouncing off the inner walls of my egghead. We start off with the Buffalo Wingz, first little point deduction here. We definitely should've gone Elkin but that's no excuse. The wings were crispy, they were full but they were nearly sauce-less. The buff sauce had basically just not stuck to the wings and instead created an overly liquid pool of runny Buffalo sauce in the serving plate. Not what you wanna see. Wings themselves though, again, were good. And they had an absolutely lovely lovely house ranch sauce that must be factored into the overall wing appreciation. 7.2 wing, good/solid wing but could easily be better. Now the star of the show. Pizza pizza. One plain bar pie, one large pie with Fra Diavalo and meatballs. It's only right. Only way to get a clear winner in what I was expecting to be the battle of the decade. I recommend ALL PIZZA TASTERS, including the so-called Pizza King himself get both pies with the Fra Diavolo. It's the local way. It's the only way. Let's get into the pie: - Thicker crust than you'd expect. The doughiest thin crust I've ever had but that's not a bad thing for me personally. For some this will be a let-down though. - Whole lotta cheese, connects with the dough making it almost like a cheesy crust type... unique for sure. - Sweet sauce which again I personally enjoy bc I have class and I have taste buds that can handle it and appreciate it. - Fra Diavolo... hotter than Kinch's, more oily... meatballs same size and shape but less seasoning. Score on Pizza in general: 7.9. I think that's the same score actually so respect to Dave. Very Good, just not great. No shame in the game at all. BUT. Nellie's ain't no Kinch. Wouldn't even really say it's close. Kinch is crispier, tastier, and better toppings. This isn't a rivalry. This is big bro - little bro. Little bro emulates big bro, looks up to it. Yankees-Mets. Peyton-Eli. Dawg-Puppy. You catch the drift. Kinchley's is clear. But no need to fear. For if you love the thin crust. In Nellie's you can still trust. A real respectable joint. But The Kinch is whom I anoint. King of the thintucci. Sayonara - Linguini Bonotucci.

I have dined here a few times but the last time was probably my last time. Service was horrific. The young girl hostess was terrible. We had a table of six and she went to put us at a four top and then walked away. Then we sat in the room upfront in a booth and we should have noticed all of the unhappy customers sitting around us. Multiple tables walked out or complained. They kept all of those tables dirty and never bussed the tables. Even our table we had to ask them to take away our appetizer plates and garbage. Our server he was terrible. I have never been to a place before where a round of beer took over 15 minutes. The apps took forever as well we are sure he forgot to put them in. Out of the six of us only one persons order came out right. When we pointed out what was missing, it was not quickly corrected. Service was painfully slow and nothing is worse than so many errors and food coming out incorrect. Example a salad, no dressing. Soup missing, side dishes wrong. So many errors and again incredibly slow service while sitting in a dirty dinning room. Nothing like finally getting your entree after sitting there for close to two hours and looking around with the bones of buffalo wings from a table that got up an hour ago. Also they rang us up twice for the same meal and when we brought it up the waiter became confrontational. We asked to see the manager and he was so short with us. I have no idea what's going on at that place anymore. A neighbor told me she has a bad experience too but I didn't fully believe them . Well trust me I believe them now and finally to put the icing on the cake the walls had so many gnats and bugs on them. This place used to be a staple for us but never again. The people we were with were horrified as well.

Nice atmosphere but can get really loud when when packed. They do seem understaffed when busy. We went in recently and the host/hostess was nowhere to be found. Food is good but sometimes inconsistent. First time I went the fried calimari was great but the next time was meh. Kinda odd to me that they served me a can of beer and no glass. Other places will do that normally. However, their pizza and elkin wings are consistently excellent. Highly recommend getting them.

Some sort of cheese. Looks like Kraft

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with "Welcome home" and seated. Bobby was our waiter and he was knowledgeable, polite, and offered my guests choices and recommendations on our orders. And in true Savini tradition, our Specials Menu had been prepared with a Happy Birthday notation on top of the page for my special guest! The Filet Mignon Crostini, a special on the menu, was fantastic! Each of our entrees was perfectly prepared and delicious. Desserts were also wonderful. They have a way of making a special night feel even more significant, balancing professional excellence with genuine warmth. They even made a personalized Specials Menu for the celebration! And the food? It's consistently fantastic. We started with a spread of appetizers that set the bar high: the Stuffed Figs and Meatball specials were standout hits, and you can't go wrong with their perfectly crisp Caesar Salad or the Escargot Scampi in that delicious puff pastry. For the main course, the Filet Mignon Oscar and Veal Imperial specials were prepared to perfection - decadent and incredibly fresh. The Cacio e Pepe was authentic and flavorful, and the Capellini special was light, but OH SO satisfying. They topped off the night with a beautiful birthday surprise -- Crème Brûlée (complete with a "Happy Birthday" chocolate sign and candle!) along with the Mixed Berries with Biscotti (can't go wrong with perfection!). Thank you to the entire team at Savini's for making my 40th Birthday Extravaganza so memorable. Whether it's a casual dinner or a life milestone, this place remains our "steady ground" and our favorite tradition. Can't wait for the next visit!

To start off, I believe that I have been here before, but maybe not. This was before I started…read morewriting yelp reviews though, and i'm here now! Andreas is a local staple in Waldwick, NJ, that serves Italian Fare food. Went here on Thursday July 17th 2025 with my parents and my cousin, and his friend. We made a reservation in case it was busy there, and good thing, because around 7 or so it was starting to get busy! Highly recommend one does make a reservation. Was greeted by a host, who sat us at a table. Duly note, I did feel a little chilly, but always bring my sweater for that reason. The table was set with a wine glass, and a water glass, and silverware. perfect for an eventful dining experience. Our server came over right away and introduced himself. Only con is I really couldn't understand him that well, especially when he stated the specials. Anyways, we started with 5 waters, and some also ordered titos with sprite. My cousin also brought some wine with him- not sure if this place is BYOB (bring your own booze). We started off with Fried Calamari, Tomato and Mozzarella, and Zuccinhi Fritti. Food came out in a timely manner- we also took a while to look over the menu. I enjoyed the Zuccini and fried calamari! Finally we decided what we wanted-- I ordered the Zuppa De pesci, which was pasta with mussels, salmon, calamari, shrimp, and scallops. Some of the other dishes my party got was the scallop scampi, and some veal dish. I very much enjoyed my seafood entree- oh and the salad came with it too! I ate most of my meal, but then also took some leftovers home with me. Oh, and the server didn't quite communicate with me that they box the leftovers, but once i got the message, it was all good. Paid via a gift card, then the balance with a credit card, and left a cash tip. Highly recommend stopping at Andreas in Waldwick! If we are ever in the area again, would definitely go!

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Pizza and food in general are delicious!!! ++++ Polpette (meatballs in marinara) were amazing. Lots of marinara and came out piping hot and there were 6 in total. ++++ Gamberi (shrimp, garlic, breadcrumbs, lemon) was also fantastic. The shrimp were buried underneath a layer of baked breadcrumbs and the garlicky flavor of the appetizer was soooo good. ++++ Regina Margherita was an EXCELLENT artisan-style pizza. Pizza was super fresh and hot when it came out. It was slightly bigger than a personal pie and delicious, however, it was a bit floppy in that the dough gave out to the heaviness of the cheese. The only difference between this and the regular Margherita is the cherry tomatoes - feel free to skip the tomatoes. ++++ Capricciosa (basically a Margherita pizza, but with mushrooms, artichoke, olives and prosciutto) - Once again, excellent, excellent pizza. It was a little bit top heavy in that there were so many ingredients on it, which made it extra floppy. Would have preferred the dough to be a bit sturdier to support the cheese and toppings. + Service was 10/10! All of the employees were friendly including the manager, who took the order of every table! Food arrived fast and empty plates were removed fairly quickly. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Spacing, spacing, spacing. Restaurant was VERY tight. To get in and out of the inside seats of the tables, the tables had to be moved out so room could be made to walk in and out. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = No reservations are taken and you must arrive in person to put your name down for a table. = Was crowded on a Friday evening right after opening for dinner at 5 PM. If you're not present when the doors open, you'll miss the 1st dinner seating and have to wait about 1 hour for the 2nd dinner seating.
