Stromboli - pepperoni -- it was delicious!
Tiff G.

I usually come here during the week for lunch--the food is decent, the bathrooms are clean, and service is quick. However, when I came for dinner with my family, the experience was disappointing. As other reviews have mentioned, the counter person, Nicole, was rude. On top of that, she handled both the register and food without gloves. Meanwhile, other employees were leaning on half-folded pizza boxes, chatting instead of working. If you're okay with decent food and indifferent service, this place might work for you.

Usually my family gets good pizzas from here, but sometimes when it's busy we get pizzas like this one we got recently: half plain, half 1 topping pepperoni, but the toppings were not evenly distributed... it's happened before (different day, different toppings) but when it's done right, you can get a good pizza from here.

Pasta Amitriciana

We love coming here. Their Pasta Amitriciana is my favorite. The calamari is tender with a perfect crispy batter. The coconut cake is light and dreamy. And it won't break the bank!

At work they treated to my favorite kind of pizza. Free pizza. I hear that if your in Wyckoff this is the spot. I've only tried their plain pizza and it was on point. Fresh ingredients with the perfect mix of sauce and cheese baked to perfection. They have pizza and your basic Italian meals and sandwiches. Their taste is similar to any other basic pizzeria. Traditional pizza, great service and reasonable prices. They have their own customer boxes so you know their legit. Enjoy.

Always Delicious at Pizzeria Mandera! I love the Sicilian Style Deep Dish

Always A Great slice. Located in Beautiful North Jersey, Mandera is a staple for everyone who knows it. Along with the great ambiance of Flowers, plants, and paintings, the service and food is out of this world. Servers that help you with your every need, along with quick fresh delicious food makes this my favorite pizza place by far!

Lemon Almond Cake
Jelena B.

I heard about this place from my sister-in-law and brother. They said the food was good and last night I was in the mood for pizza. Well, the menu looked so good we had to try a couple of things. We shared the Fig and Gorgonzola salad which was over arugula and endive with red onion, crumbled gorgonzola, olive oil, aged balsamic, and walnuts. The figs were delicious and so fresh. We also had the fried calamari, one of the best we've ever had. They were so tender and melted in your mouth. We ordered the Nona pizza forgetting that it was a square pizza and not thin slices. It didn't matter because the dough was airy and the crust around the edges was perfect and easy to bite into. And the flavor was the best that I've had. They don't have a large drink selection, primarily wine, which must be bought by the bottle. They have half bottle sizes for a few of their wines. Their menu states that according to NJ law wine must be sold by the bottle. I've never heard this before I'm restaurants as we've always ordered by the glass everywhere else we've been, so not sure what that was all about. We had the house Chardonnay, which was okay. We decided to have the dessert special, Lemon Almond Cake. Oh my goodness. First of all, anything citrus gets my attention, especially lemon anything. But this dessert is a classic Italian cake. It was amazing! Delicious! I wish I could buy the entire cake. I'll have to inquire about that. We also had cappuccino along with the dessert, which was also very good. Our server was very pleasant and the staff was attentive. This restaurant gets busy quickly. We came at 5pm on a Friday evening and we're seated immediately, but it fills up quickly. Make a reservation if you can or come early. It's located in a shopping plaza across from the Stop N Shop so there is plenty of parking available. Highly recommend this place. Forgot to take pictures of some of the items we ordered before devouring it but sharing it anyway. Also, forgot to take pictures of the Nona pizza, which I reheated in my air fryer this evening and it was just as good as it was yesterday. Enjoy!

Thankfully my friend noticed they were BYOB and brought wine as I completely missed that on their menu. It was pretty calm for a Sunday night and we were there for awhile. The bruschetta and bread that was brought out was honestly not my favorite we didn't really eat it. We started with their fried calamari with cherry peppers which was delicious and ended up bringing half of it home. We actually both ordered their PAGLIA e FIENO which was absolutely delicious. The cream sauce was wonderful and there was a decent portion of seafood in each dish. For dessert we ordered the creme brûlée and strawberries Zabaglione. The creme brûlée was good something you normally would get. The strawberries Zabaglione was perfect and refreshing with fresh strawberries with a nice thinner consistency custard on top. Our server Elise was wonderful as we were catching up with each other and very slow to order. The inside was very clean with a modern decoration. Parking is street parking which was easier enough to find on a Sunday evening. The only thing I was surprised for a byob Italian spot was some of their pricing was a bit steep for the place itself.

Lastly, I want to commend the manager/owner in the kitchen from the pick up area. I witnessed him stopping a patron from driving. He informed the patron to stay a little longer because he had been drinking. The patron did not show any sign of intoxication and I believed he obliged. It's not often you see an establishment care for the safety of their customers and others. I was leaving with my family of four (2 young girls). I hope the patron made it home safely.

The prosciutto pizza was a standout--light, refreshing, and the crispy crust was perfect. Everyone at the table ordered a different pasta entree, and we were all impressed. The penne vodka sauce was creamy, flavorful, and rich without being too heavy. One small issue: we ordered a lot of appetizers, and no one came to clear the plates before our entrees arrived. With a smaller table, it got cramped and messy, and we had to ask someone to take the finished dishes. It felt a little sloppy and lack of service for an otherwise great experience. Especially since we had to ask someone other than our server for boxes and the check since she wasn't attentive. That said, the food definitely makes up for it. I'll absolutely be coming back!

Packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The chocolate cream pie was more of a chocolate mousse. It was a little pricey too. Almost $90.00 with tip. Nothing bad about the experience, but I don't know if I'd go back.

Between an absentee, scatterbrained server and poorly prepared food, this was one of the worst dining experiences we've had in years. We had been looking forward to this dinner all week, especially since we were celebrating two special occasions, but from the moment we were seated, it felt like we had been placed at the "afterthought table." For the first 30 minutes, no one acknowledged us. We weren't given menus, water, or any interaction whatsoever. When our server finally appeared to take a drink order, we asked for a wine list. She disappeared for another 15 minutes, and I eventually had to get up and ask another employee for menus myself. When the server finally returned, she apologized by saying she was "busy with Phil Simms" at another table. That is not something you say to paying customers. My time and money are just as valuable as anyone else's. The rest of the evening followed the same pattern: long stretches without service, forgotten requests, and excuse after excuse. When our wine finally arrived, the server spilled it across the table and onto my wife's glass, then joked that she had "forgotten how to do her job" after being on vacation and earlier she even forgot to put someone's dinner order in! At that point, I politely explained that service had been extremely slow and asked if things could improve. Her response was to laugh in my face. After taking our entrée order, she then informed us she had forgotten to tell us the specials. More than an hour after being seated, our appetizers finally arrived. They were bland and disappointing, and once we finished, the empty plates sat untouched on our table for quite some time while our server once again disappeared. Nearly two and a half hours into the evening, our entrées finally arrived. Unfortunately, the food was just as bad as the service. The chicken dish was room temperature on the outside and refrigerator-cold in the middle, with unmelted cheese still visible -- clearly something that had been prepared earlier, refrigerated, and poorly reheated. The gnocchi was overcooked to the point of being mushy and gelatinous. The braised short ribs were dry and overcooked, and the risotto was watery and flavorless instead of creamy and rich. After one or two bites, we asked to speak with a manager. The manager appeared somewhat indifferent, though he did offer to comp a portion of the meal. He also said someone would come wrap the food, but of course, no one ever did. We then sat for another 20 minutes with no interaction until our server returned and cheerfully asked, "I hope everything was great tonight!" We explained all of the issues, and her response was simply, "Oh, sorry." We asked for the bill and waited another 15 minutes. When she finally returned, she offered more excuses and told us we should give the restaurant another chance because "the kitchen is preparing for Mother's Day." At that point, it was hard to believe how tone-deaf the entire experience had been. Needless to say, we will never return and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
