My family and I JUST discovered Arturo's and I feel so grateful we did! The atmosphere is excellent, the wait staff are so kind and friendly, and, most importantly, the food is always a hit. My favorite part of their menu is the fish section, where they provide almost a build-your-own dish where you choose your desired fish AND style. I usually go for the salmon oregenata which is always delish. I do wish they'd put more veggies on the plate though (because they're so tasty!)

It was my first time here with a small group and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the generosity of the portions, and the ambiance of the restaurant. There was a pianist/singer in the bar area but it was a nice addition to the dining experience. I loved the murals on the wall. The server was nice. It did get busy so the waitress staff was busy also. It was very nice to have been given pick food of soppressata, provolone, rice balls, and bread before ordering. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. The stuffed artichoke and sautéed cherry peppers were on point. I have been craving a pasta carbonara and have been left underwhelmed the last several places that I ordered it from, but tonight my craving was taken care of. It was very good. The rustic cannoli pie is a must, so leave room. I would definitely give this place a try if you are thinking about it.

My husband and I went to Arturo's tonight, sat at the bar and had a great meal! To start they brought us hot bread and butter, a small cheese plate and rice balls. We ordered the buffalo mutz app with figs which was very good (see picture). We also had chicken parm and chicken scarpariello which were both delicious. The bartender is amazing! Busy bar scene and the service was still top notch! Definitely recommend!

Came here for my bday with my hubby, parents and step sister. As we arrived they had a platter of meat & cheese and arancini balls and bread on the house. We had calamari which was excellent, I had the escargot which had no flavor and was too buttery And a Stuffed artichoke ~ excellent. For dinner I had the special rack of veal chops oreganata on a bed a sautéed spinach and potatoes. Mine was so good I'd go back just to get this again. Husband had the braised short ribs with risotto, very good again. Parents split Cavatelli and broccoli al dente and it was fresh home made pasta, they loved it. We then had dessert which I posted a picture of we all had different flavors of gelato that just melted in your mouth it was so good. Our waiter was very attentive and came over multiple times to see how we were doing and if we liked everything. We went at 6pm and there weren't many people in the establishment but I can see on the weekends it must be packed. They also offer a full bar with special drinks. Overall I would definitely go back again. And recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Italian.

However, last night the winning choice was a glorious linguini with little neck clams in a brilliant garlicky pepper flaked broth. To say the options are plenty does not do service to the vast options of homemade pastas, slow mastered sauces and land and sea delights. A chicken parm for example was a silky mozarella wedded to a tender chicken breast embedded in roasted burst of tomatoes. Service! Professional, knowledgeable and note to self- remember wine! I was introduced to this place, located in Midland Park, NJ by my daughter and son-in-law…read more The menu lists a lot of choices, so choosing a dish diners want to eat can be overwhelming. Since I am visiting, I don't get to eat here often, so when there's a choice between 2 pastas "houses", I have always chosen to eat here. The last time the family and I went and had our meals at the restaurant, I believe the service we had was good. Server was nice and polite, and the ambiance was nice enough for conversations. I do hate being seated right near the restroom though, so I requested sitting as far away as we can the last time we were there, and restaurant hostess had no problem accommodating us. The last few times, due to family's schedules, we ordered for pick up. Picking up was easy enough: go to the counter, give them your name, pay, and get your food. Because I hate paying for a fee by using my credit card, I always make sure to bring cash to pay my bill. I recently fell in love with their spaghetti with clam sauce (white option), so that was my order for today. With my first bite of this dish, substituting linguine for spaghetti, my mouth exploded with the excellent flavors of spices, used to cook the sauce, along with the chopped clam and the chewy linguine. This dish is prepared and served as a larger potion, so make sure you save your tummy for dish, if you choose to order one. My daughter loves her fettuccine rustica dish minus the peas and sun-dried tomatoes, which is a mom's approved dish. We also ordered a 12" personal pizza. The pizza here is not as good as their pasta dishes, so no additional comment. Overall, I truly enjoyed all of the dishes I have ordered from this location, and am looking forward to dine here again the next time I visit my daughter and family.

We wanted to order a large pizza for the kids to share, but were told they don't do large pies for dine-in after 4:30 PM. We explained we just needed something for the kids and would be ordering entrees for the adults. The waitress barely acknowledged us and didn't offer any helpful alternatives. So, we ended up ordering individual personal pies for each kid, which she failed to mention or suggest the idea they could actually be shared (I mean look at my pictures, is a 2 year old gonna eat that size personal pie herself?) Just to clarify, we had a 2 year old, a 4 year old , a 5, and a 7 year old with us, so mostly preschool aged kids. No one told us that the personal pizzas would be big enough for the kids and we ended up bringing home essentially 3 full pizzas. On top of that, they charged my son for an adult seltzer ($3.50 for a seltzer seriously?), and kids' drinks (like apple juice or soda) were priced at $3.25 each. The service was also lacking. We literally didn't see our server after the initial order, with the exception of when the check came. They added a 20% gratuity automatically. Normally, I'd understand that for large groups, but the service didn't justify it at all which felt like they knew this and went with a set it and forget it mentality towards the table. As for the food, it was disappointing. The avocado chicken panini was greasy, drenched in butter, and the tomato slices were so thick, they could've been used as hockey pucks. The $21 goat cheese and beet salad was bland, and two of the three kids didn't even like the pizza sauce. In the end, we paid $135 for 4 toddlers and 2 adult entrees, which felt completely overpriced for the quality and service. Overall, this place lacks decent service, overpriced food, and I wouldn't recommend it.

No place in the US is as good as true Italian, until this place. This is authentically Italian in the best way. The food is all fresh, farm to table. My salad tasted like it was from Chez Panisse, which is famous for its salads. The pasta was freshly made; the tiramisu was the best I've had outside of Italy, and better than many in Italy, which I've never said in the US anywhere. The staff was delightful and helpful. The head chef is truly Italian and knows what she is doing!, Elisa and Aydon were both fantastic servers. Give both of them a bonus! The ambiance was great, with beautiful lighting and decor. Great for a romantic date or, as I was doing, dinner with a life long friend. I live 3,000 miles away and might make a trip back here sooner just to visit this place. I wish I had the same experience they had. Unfortunately, the dishes I ate, the flavors were bland and underwhelming. I do appreciate the effort they gave.It was just not for me. The eggplantParmesan appetizer was not breaded as i was used too. It seemed slowly cooked and the texture was too soft for me I did have the octopus, but the flavor from the olives and capers were too overpowering. These comments are mainly opinions from my long professional career. The one thing that I did not care for or agree was the cost of pasta being over $29, specially with just tomato sauce. Our industry is charging obscene pricing on pasta dishes, especially ones that do not have high cost ingredients to them. Look, make the pasta great.Keep the ingredients simple and charge pricing? That will keep customers coming back more often than not.

Thankfully my friend noticed they were BYOB and brought wine as I completely missed that on their menu. It was pretty calm for a Sunday night and we were there for awhile. The bruschetta and bread that was brought out was honestly not my favorite we didn't really eat it. We started with their fried calamari with cherry peppers which was delicious and ended up bringing half of it home. We actually both ordered their PAGLIA e FIENO which was absolutely delicious. The cream sauce was wonderful and there was a decent portion of seafood in each dish. For dessert we ordered the creme brûlée and strawberries Zabaglione. The creme brûlée was good something you normally would get. The strawberries Zabaglione was perfect and refreshing with fresh strawberries with a nice thinner consistency custard on top. Our server Elise was wonderful as we were catching up with each other and very slow to order. The inside was very clean with a modern decoration. Parking is street parking which was easier enough to find on a Sunday evening. The only thing I was surprised for a byob Italian spot was some of their pricing was a bit steep for the place itself.

Great italian bread with an amazing olive oil for dipping. Olive oil is nicely spiced and includes a shaved cheese. Fried calamari was perfectly done. They offer mild or spicy marinara and we were able to get both for the table. Yummy! Great marinara!! Complimentary salad is a nice plus especially these days. Huge serving. Classic salad ingredients except topped with minced italian meats and cheese. A light italian dressing. De-lious. Chicken parm entree was thinly sliced and perfectly fried, lots of cheese in a wonderful marinara sauce, side of pasta included. Pork braciole over homemade gnocchi was amazing. Pork was fork tender and expertly stuffed and seasoned. Gnocchi were soft and fluffy. Another huge portion. I had it for 3 meals. Crispy salmon over mushroom risotto was perfection. Salmon was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Risotto was beautiful made with lots of mushrooms. So creamy! Just a bit too much finishing olive oil for our taste. Cappuccino was delicious with a big whipped cream top. Tartufo ice cream is traditional and delicious. A wonderful restaurant.
