We both didn't love the bacon Gorgonzola cheese spread on top, the Gorgonzola is way too over powering. The peanut butter semi freddo was divine and I favorite of mine back when Velo used to be in Nyack! Marcelo and the staff were nice, as always. Perfect from start to finish and what a great staff! We went here on a Friday night (make a reservation) and were greeted by the hostess who was so sweet . The decor is beautiful. The walls remind me of the haunted mansion in Disney ! They were black and grey velvety and so cool! The food is amazing we shared a watermelon salad and their cauliflower app. The salad was great the cauliflower we weren't too crazy about as it reminded us of the texture of flan. I had the monk fish special which was delicious and hubby had the homemade pasta with shrimp and broccoli rabe. We ended with the Nutella beignets and espresso ! Amazing restaurant. We had a wonderful Mother's Day with our family here. Party of 7 and we ordered nearly every appetizer, starter salads, entrees, and desserts and beverages. No plate went back with a single crumb left on it. Everyone raved. The shortribs with the sweet potato my GAWD so good and I am a short rib conossoir. The handmade pasta al dente as real Italians like it. My Mother said the eggplant tasted just like her Grandmothers and it truly was delicious. My husband the pickiest eater was very happy with his filet and loved the sauce and italian sausage. Carrot cake which is my favorite dessert in general was the best I have had. We shared desserts and all were exceptional. We are no strangers to fine dining and this restaurant did not disappoint. The staff was great, the service also great. We were greeted by one of the owners and welcomed us like family. We had a wonderful experience @ Bici and plan to return soon. Absolutely love Bici! Bici has quickly become our go to for family and friend dinners when we're all back in town. Every time I am home from NYC Bici is the first place I want to dine and it never disappoints. The food is always incredible. This spot is a gem. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent! Had a the summer strawberry salad, so refreshing and delicious. The lamb gnocchi is my go-to and it never disappoints! My friend had the salmon over risotto and it was also delicious. We both had leftovers, which means more to enjoy the next day! Marcelo manages the restaurant and ensure all of his customers are happy! He is a delight to talk to, known him for many years and he genuinely cares, he treats each table like family! We really enjoyed all of our food! Standouts were the meatball appetizer and the carrot cake. They are BYOB. My sister in law had to make a reservation a month ahead for the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. It was very packed. There are a lot of tables though. White table cloths and attentive service. Upscale place. Lots of imagery of bicycles, I guess that makes sense since name of restaurant means "bikes." Apps are all around $17 and mains around $40. Not everything is worth that price. There used to be a lobster dish that my family was raving about but not on the menu anymore, probably because of high lobster prices. I got the monk fish special for $39. Not worth it, 3 small "medallions" of fish in a very basic bland sauce with tomatoes and carrots. The description said there would be fingerling potatoes (as the second ingredient) so I imagined a heaping serving of potatoes on the side swimming in yummy sauce with fish but there were only 2 pieces of potato. The meatballs were amazing. Great flavor and super moist. 2 meatballs in the app. Carrot cake also very good, a decent slice and those candied nuts on the top added a nice crunch and sweetness. Desserts are $12. Bill came to over $500 for tax and tip for 8 people. I also liked the fried oysters which was on the specials for the day. A decent amount of oysters and they were perfectly fried. They also give complimentary focaccia bread that's very good and fresh and the olive oil is good as well. It's a nice environment, def nice for a special event. A little over priced. Mostly good food. They have won a lot of awards and owner seemed very nice and friendly. From the minute we entered Bici I knew this place was special. The warmly-lit dining room was inviting, our man-in-charge for the evening, Julian, was a consummate professional and the owner, Marcello, made sure he stopped by to ensure we were enjoying our meals. The menu is creative, inventive Italian while staying true to simple, delicious ingredients. And the portions on their entrees are generous. We started with a sampling of four appetizers: meatballs in a San Marzano sauce with a piece of crostini, a cauliflower "souffle" that was truly unique and delicious, a pasta dumpling stuffed with ricotta called "malfatti" and the burrata w/ prosciutto. All choices were excellent! For our entrees, we enjoyed an interesting chef's choice of skate fish filet (flavorful white flaky fish fillet), the fettuccini with shrimp and broccoli rabe in a light sun-dried tomato puree, "Sunday gravy" red sauce served with meat and pasta and, finally, the short ribs in an amazing sauce of red wine and sour cherries w/ honey mashed sweet potatoes - my God someone get me a pillow! Oh - and the freshly baked focaccia del giorno is a treat! Tonight's was a rosemary focaccia- delicious! If we weren't "wow'd" enough from the entrees, the dessert choices of the limoncello baba with ricotta gelato and the peanut butter chocolate semi fredo pie were fantastic! Conversation with Julian added to the nice vibe in this Ramsey gem. Such a gracious, welcoming atmosphere - we will definitely return to try some of their other dishes - soon! read more

Ambiance was beautiful Bici, and I will say I was excited about eating here. We can on a Monday night and service seemed to be off point and maybe it was because of the day. It would not stop me from coming back The food was good, I really enjoyed the amatriciana, the lamb ragu special was good, meatballs were incredible, polenta fries very good. The homemade pastas were incredible! However, unless you are a mushroom lover I would not order the porcini risotto. Outstanding food quality! I came for a birthday and we all loved our food. This place is cozy and not too loud so we could talk no problem. However be warned that you cannot order (anything!) until the whole table is ready to order. This was frustrating as I was SO starving and wanted an appetizer as soon as we arrived. However, the food was worth the wait! (But don't arrive famished like I did. Ha. They do serve warm bread everyone loved, but I couldn't eat it because of an allergy.) I had a cauliflower soufflé type dish with the most delicious frisée salad on top! Seriously this was so good my friend mentioned it again this week that she's dreaming about it! Loved the dorado fish I had - a nice portion, perfectly cooked, and the side of veggies (delicious amount of garlic with them) and mashed potatoes (which I don't normally like) were excellent! Dessert... do not come here and skip dessert!! The carrot cake was THE BEST I've ever had... ever! So moist, loaded with carrot and these delicious candied nuts on top. He had great information about all the dishes and we were so happy with everything. The food was so well prepared and the flavors were incredible. We had the pasta with veal ragu! Dined in at Bici recently with a small group... Bici is definitely 5+ Stars here on Yelp. Cute, warmly decorated, BYOB on Main Street . Loved the lighting! The room was nice & dim but they use this small light that gives plenty of light at the table. Great ambiance. (FYI-- the are expanding by taking over the closed business next door) Our server was very friendly; she knew the menu well, and was happy to suggest options. One of the owners ( Marcelo) stopped by to check on us. Super nice, professional, yet humble which is very refreshing. THE FOOD-- Absolutely fantastic! Menu was not too big and not too small. ( approx 8 apps or salads; 6 HOMEMADE pastas; 5 entrees, 5 desserts) And still I had a hard time choosing as everything sounded so good. so here we go ..... Apps - --Salad of Roasted Beets -- made with goat cheese, baby arugula, shaved fennel, white truffle vinaigrette, & walnuts......is now one of my favorite salads anywhere. I would buy bottles of this salad dressing if they sold it. Nice portion for an app salad. I also heard the meatballs (Polpette) were very good. But what really got the table's praise ( as we shared) was the Polenta fries with a 3-cheese dipping sauce. Perfectly, lightly fried to an airy crisp with a sauce was that decadently satisfying yet not thick and gooey. Our order was perfecto! Entrees- --I had the Chianti Risotto -- made with shaved black truffle, grana padano, & truffle oil after asking the server (they also offered a Spinach & Roasted Garlic Risotto made with warm burrata, marinara, & grana as well. My Chianti Risotto also had porcini mushroom and was excellent. Perfectly cooked and a nice sized portion too. There is one entree I want to get back to try : Cherry Braised Short Ribs --made with honey mashed sweet potato, red wine & sour cherry jus, & fried onions. Now doesn't that sound special? I was told all desserts are made in house;. The carrot cake was a nice de-lish slab of confectionery comfort. The Beignets with a chocolate hazelnut sauce was also the talk of the table. I had the Napolean pastry made with Meyer lemon and Chantilly cream that went great with my perfect cup of coffee Americana. Have not been to Bici, in quite awhile. Had a wonderful dinner there last night. Greeted hostesses by Ellie and Ava. A romantic setting with cool dim table side lamps. Warm fococia bread and oil to start. Nice touch. They split our mixed green and pear salad for us, very tasty. We had the filet, mashed potatoes and green beans, perfectly cooked. Also the crab cakes and greens, mmm. All delicious and filling, so no room for dessert. They are a byob and provide great services. We recommend Bici for a fair priced quality meal. read more

We stopped by Bici for Mother's Day. It was nice that they had their regular menu and not some special menu. My husband and I both got the lobster bisque and my mom had the potato leak soup. All were good, but she was expecting a cold soup for the potato leak. The watermelon salad was good, but had a bit too much tomato for my taste. The mint was great with it, I'm not sure how I felt about the locked (which I normally I've) for entrees we did the lamb bolognese, the crab cakes, and the Chianti risotto. I liked the gnocchi but the bolognese could've had a little more flavor. My mom really loved her crab cakes and the dressing that was on the salad. My husbands Chianti risotto was different, but really enjoyable. Service was a little slow, but I think I would've been fine with it and we not had the most obnoxious table behind us and we wanted to get away from them. read more

What a treat?! Dined here for the first time during Covid at their outdoor tented set up on a recent Saturday evening. It is nicely lit and tables are amply spaces. The owner is a lovely gentleman named Marcelo who really cares about his patrons and aims to please. We started with two different salads and the eggplant parmigiana. The eggplant was superb. The salads were tasty albeit somewhat pedestrian. But an Italian restaurant really can't be judged on their salads now can they?! They were super accommodating and customized a salmon entree to meet the needs of one of our party who wasn't quite into the indulgences of their fabulous menu. I opted for the homemade strazzopreti with a hazelnut pesto and Gorgonzola. Outstanding and worth every calorie and gram of fat! My husband had the gnocchi. They typically serve it with a lamb bolognese which probably is wonderful. But hubby doesn't eat red meat so they customized it with a vegetarian tomato based sauce and it was still delicious. What a wonderful experience! We had never been here before but always wanted to try it when a friend arranged a dinner together and made the reservation. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and directly showed to our table.. you have to appreciate that. How many time do you arrive at the time of your reservation and are told "it'll just be a few minutes ". Nice job so far Bici. This is a BYOB and some brought beer as their drink of chose which was not a problem as the waiter brought over frosted beer glasses...wow! Menus had so many great things to offer but when the guys saw the short rib they knew what they were having. As I am a fan of broccoli rabe I chose the homemade fettuccini with shrimp and with broccoli rabe. But let me step back..we had the meatballs and burrata for the table and it was yummy. The meatballs were cooked perfectly and paired well with the burrata salad. So back to the main meal, some of us also ordered the special halibut which was again a wonderful choice. Congratulations to us all as we were all members of the clean plate club so dessert was our next decision. We decided to share the carrot cake and the beignets. There was also espresso and coffee which were served hot and were great. I must admit that I am normally not a fan of carrot cake but the one served at Bici converted me. It had wonderful flavor and was moist. Bravo So now let's turn to the staff which I applaud. Had a fantastic outdoor dining experience at Bici that earned the coveted five star review. The tables were plenty spaced out and the staff kept everything clean and spaced out. The complimentary bread was crispy yet soft and absolutely delicious paired with a high quality EVOO. We tried a few different appetizers including the eggplant and salad which were both phenomenal. Great BYOB spot! Dined outside which was nicely decorated with hanging plants, the floor was slightly not level which was a tiny bit difficult as my father in law uses a walker, but we managed. Food was delicious, Salmon was perfectly cooked, fettuccine with shrimp had HUGE shrimp in it! A tiny bit over cooked but still very delicious, their home made pasta has a great texture and their sauces are damn good. Lobster risotto was delicious too! If I could, I would give Bici 6 stars! Other reviewers are correct in calling this place a gem. And it is all due to owners, Marcelo & Chef, as well as the staff. Marcelo is super sweet and appreciative! I had eaten at Bici twice before Quarantine 2020 happened and fell in love with the food. I did takeout once during quarantine and they did a fantastic job of choosing appetizers and entrees that would travel well for their menu options. Since outdoor dining was allowed, I have dined several times. Their food has always been consistent and you can taste the quality! The salad of watermelon is very refreshing and I enjoyed the combination of sweet and salty. The meatballs have bread in the ingredients which make them not as heavy-tasting. Their house-made burrata is one of the best I've tried. One of my favorites, the malfatti ricotta dumpling, is uniquely delicious. Their house-made fettuccine is perfectly al dente and the gnocchi is super light and airy. No need for a knife to eat the braised short-rib as it falls apart upon touching with your fork.
