The food here is excellent. The restaurant was packed when we went. It was noisy and we were crammed into a corner. The service was really slow and inattentive. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think we'll go back.

Absolutely love Bici! Bici has quickly become our go to for family and friend dinners when we're all back in town. Every time I am home from NYC Bici is the first place I want to dine and it never disappoints. The food is always incredible. The service is always on point and the ambience is perfect for a lovely quiet Italian dinner. I've come for my birthday multiple times and have always been treated absolutely wonderfully - so happy to have Bici in our neighborhood!

    Carrot cake $12 very good

We really enjoyed all of our food! Standouts were the meatball appetizer and the carrot cake. They are BYOB. My sister in law had to make a reservation a month ahead for the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. It was very packed. There are a lot of tables though. White table cloths and attentive service. Upscale place. Lots of imagery of bicycles, I guess that makes sense since name of restaurant means "bikes." Apps are all around $17 and mains around $40. Not everything is worth that price. There used to be a lobster dish that my family was raving about but not on the menu anymore, probably because of high lobster prices. I got the monk fish special for $39. Not worth it, 3 small "medallions" of fish in a very basic bland sauce with tomatoes and carrots. The description said there would be fingerling potatoes (as the second ingredient) so I imagined a heaping serving of potatoes on the side swimming in yummy sauce with fish but there were only 2 pieces of potato. The meatballs were amazing. Great flavor and super moist. 2 meatballs in the app. Carrot cake also very good, a decent slice and those candied nuts on the top added a nice crunch and sweetness. Desserts are $12. Bill came to over $500 for tax and tip for 8 people. I also liked the fried oysters which was on the specials for the day. A decent amount of oysters and they were perfectly fried. They also give complimentary focaccia bread that's very good and fresh and the olive oil is good as well. It's a nice environment, def nice for a special event. A little over priced. Mostly good food. They have won a lot of awards and owner seemed very nice and friendly. I also saw that they have been sponsors for the Ramsey farmers market for many years so that's good to see.

Ambiance was beautiful Bici, and I will say I was excited about eating here. We can on a Monday night and service seemed to be off point and maybe it was because of the day. It would not stop me from coming back The food was good, I really enjoyed the amatriciana, the lamb ragu special was good, meatballs were incredible, polenta fries very good. The homemade pastas were incredible! However, unless you are a mushroom lover I would not order the porcini risotto. It was not our cup of tea Desserts were incredible, semifreddo exceeded our expectations, cannolis were unique (worth a try but are different)

Always a great time here! BYOB. Service is stellar. Food is home made fresh. We keep coming back again and again.

limoncello baba - drenched in limoncello- wow!

From the minute we entered Bici I knew this place was special. The warmly-lit dining room was inviting, our man-in-charge for the evening, Julian, was a consummate professional and the owner, Marcello, made sure he stopped by to ensure we were enjoying our meals. The menu is creative, inventive Italian while staying true to simple, delicious ingredients. And the portions on their entrees are generous. We started with a sampling of four appetizers: meatballs in a San Marzano sauce with a piece of crostini, a cauliflower "souffle" that was truly unique and delicious, a pasta dumpling stuffed with ricotta called "malfatti" and the burrata w/ prosciutto. All choices were excellent! For our entrees, we enjoyed an interesting chef's choice of skate fish filet (flavorful white flaky fish fillet), the fettuccini with shrimp and broccoli rabe in a light sun-dried tomato puree, "Sunday gravy" red sauce served with meat and pasta and, finally, the short ribs in an amazing sauce of red wine and sour cherries w/ honey mashed sweet potatoes - my God someone get me a pillow! Oh - and the freshly baked focaccia del giorno is a treat! Tonight's was a rosemary focaccia- delicious! If we weren't "wow'd" enough from the entrees, the dessert choices of the limoncello baba with ricotta gelato and the peanut butter chocolate semi fredo pie were fantastic! Conversation with Julian added to the nice vibe in this Ramsey gem. Such a gracious, welcoming atmosphere - we will definitely return to try some of their other dishes - soon!

Cauliflower soufflé type dish with the most delicious salad!

Outstanding food quality! I came for a birthday and we all loved our food. This place is cozy and not too loud so we could talk no problem. However be warned that you cannot order (anything!) until the whole table is ready to order. This was frustrating as I was SO starving and wanted an appetizer as soon as we arrived. However, the food was worth the wait! (But don't arrive famished like I did. Ha. They do serve warm bread everyone loved, but I couldn't eat it because of an allergy.) I had a cauliflower soufflé type dish with the most delicious frisée salad on top! Seriously this was so good my friend mentioned it again this week that she's dreaming about it! Loved the dorado fish I had - a nice portion, perfectly cooked, and the side of veggies (delicious amount of garlic with them) and mashed potatoes (which I don't normally like) were excellent! Dessert... do not come here and skip dessert!! The carrot cake was THE BEST I've ever had... ever! So moist, loaded with carrot and these delicious candied nuts on top. The beignets were hot and yummy too and I love that they came with Nutella which balanced perfectly as the beignets were not sweet. Can't wait to go back!

Dined in at Bici recently with a small group... Bici is definitely 5+ Stars here on Yelp. Cute, warmly decorated, BYOB on Main Street . Loved the lighting! The room was nice & dim but they use this small light that gives plenty of light at the table. Great ambiance. (FYI-- the are expanding by taking over the closed business next door) Our server was very friendly; she knew the menu well, and was happy to suggest options. One of the owners ( Marcelo) stopped by to check on us. Super nice, professional, yet humble which is very refreshing. THE FOOD-- Absolutely fantastic! Menu was not too big and not too small. ( approx 8 apps or salads; 6 HOMEMADE pastas; 5 entrees, 5 desserts) And still I had a hard time choosing as everything sounded so good. so here we go ..... Apps - --Salad of Roasted Beets -- made with goat cheese, baby arugula, shaved fennel, white truffle vinaigrette, & walnuts......is now one of my favorite salads anywhere. I would buy bottles of this salad dressing if they sold it. Nice portion for an app salad. I also heard the meatballs (Polpette) were very good. But what really got the table's praise ( as we shared) was the Polenta fries with a 3-cheese dipping sauce. Perfectly, lightly fried to an airy crisp with a sauce was that decadently satisfying yet not thick and gooey. Our order was perfecto! Entrees- --I had the Chianti Risotto -- made with shaved black truffle, grana padano, & truffle oil after asking the server (they also offered a Spinach & Roasted Garlic Risotto made with warm burrata, marinara, & grana as well. My Chianti Risotto also had porcini mushroom and was excellent. Perfectly cooked and a nice sized portion too. There is one entree I want to get back to try : Cherry Braised Short Ribs --made with honey mashed sweet potato, red wine & sour cherry jus, & fried onions. Now doesn't that sound special? I was told all desserts are made in house;. The carrot cake was a nice de-lish slab of confectionery comfort. The Beignets with a chocolate hazelnut sauce was also the talk of the table. I had the Napolean pastry made with Meyer lemon and Chantilly cream that went great with my perfect cup of coffee Americana. ( other options were a Lavender panna cotta and a version of creme brulee). Bici is great on all major points ( ambiance, service, and food) and I cannot wait to go back. I highly recommend !

    Lobster bisque
    Emma K.

We stopped by Bici for Mother's Day. It was nice that they had their regular menu and not some special menu. My husband and I both got the lobster bisque and my mom had the potato leak soup. All were good, but she was expecting a cold soup for the potato leak. The watermelon salad was good, but had a bit too much tomato for my taste. The mint was great with it, I'm not sure how I felt about the locked (which I normally I've) for entrees we did the lamb bolognese, the crab cakes, and the Chianti risotto. I liked the gnocchi but the bolognese could've had a little more flavor. My mom really loved her crab cakes and the dressing that was on the salad. My husbands Chianti risotto was different, but really enjoyable. Service was a little slow, but I think I would've been fine with it and we not had the most obnoxious table behind us and we wanted to get away from them.

Seems like VERY limited menu...ONE Veal dish ONE fish..Couold this be true?

Yes the menu is very limited. They have specials every night but it's still a small menu.

    Is Bici a byo?

    Yes

I'm entertaining out of town guests who are not used to ny metro area prices. Will they be shocked? What are the typical entree prices? Thanks

They may be. I would say around $35 for an entree.

We armed ourselves with our bottles of wine and we were ready for a great meal.. It's a small place, but it's decorated nicely and tastefully. My only issue was it was extremely cold in there. I get it that the people are making the pizza get very hot, but it was kind of uncomfortable and I had to keep taking my coat on and off. But that literally it was the only negative. We started with the arugula salad, which was absolutely delicious. Very fresh and crisp. The cheese on it was amazing. You could tell it was high-quality and we loved the sun-dried tomatoes. We then moved onto mussels in a red sauce they were very good. They were not stringy. They were not dry. The sauce was delicious but I would've said go a little bit later on the onions next time, but overall, it was very tasty. The pizza was definitely the stand out here. It came out much bigger than we thought it was gonna be and we usually are able to finish a whole thin crust pizza but we just couldn't do it. This time. The crust was cooked perfectly. Their sauce is absolutely delicious. I felt like I was eating my own families sauce. That's how homemade it tasted. We got black olives on it and I love the way that they were. It wasn't overloaded. They weren't wet and I have to say I don't know where they got their basil from but the taste was incredible. I do want to add that I found myself staring at the gentleman that were actually kneading the pizza dough... I am right from Italy and I felt like I was transported back home the attention that he was paying to the Joe it was definitely watching an art We will definitely be back here. Hopefully it'll be a little bit warmer lol but overall, this was definitely one of my new favorites.

For the main course, the Filet Mignon Oscar and Veal Imperial specials were prepared to perfection - decadent and incredibly fresh. Food: 4 Prices: 2…read moreWaitress: 2 Husband and I went here for dinner last night as we were really in the mood for pizza, and our usual place for pizza in Ramsey was closed (Ronnie G's). There were about 2 or 3 cars in the parking lot for a Sunday night, and 2 tables already occupied when we walked in around 6:45. There was nobody at the counter so we waited a few minutes until we were greeted and told to sit anywhere. There was apparently one waitress working the restaurant. I decided to put in the order for my toddler right away. Options are very limited for the kid's menu (penne with tomato sauce; penne with butter; mac n cheese) and all are $10. The portion was decent but really, $10 for a plate of pasta that probably cost about 50 cents for ingredients? Waited about another 10-15 minutes before the waitress came back to take our order. We decided on mozzarella sticks (don't waste your money, I would be willing to guarantee they're frozen and not made in house) and a 12" margherita pizza. The pizza was good, albeit a bit greasy. My real issue is that the prices vs the portions are ridiculous. Our pizza arrived and I couldn't believe they charged $19 for what looked like something slightly larger than a personal pizza. It was good, but I've definitely had better and for $19, it was definitely overpriced. The waitress was all business and frankly, I felt like it was almost a nuisance that she had to wait on us. When we were done eating, she simply brought the check over, which was fine since we didn't plan to get dessert. Never returning here.

First off this place seems very unassuming from the outside. I had no idea that the inside was huge, that their menu was so much more than pizza and that i could actually sit down. Several sections inside which is nice if you are there for a party or even just having dinner.. because you feel so much less cramped. For our event it was all pizza. I tried the veggie and plain. They were great. The pepperoni and gluten-free were also a hit (YESSS they make gluten free pizza- fantastic). It was the perfect combo of crispiness and cheese. Not thicker slices but also not coal fired oven; but really delicious. Those serving the party were super fun and chill. Helped everyone and also those of us ordering our own from the menu items. A few other hits that were tried were the - chicken Parmesan, french fries and a pasta with shellfish. I wouldn't come here if trying to impress anybody with a wine and dine experience, but for a great meal with friends or family this is the perfect place.
