Two Marsala, a Shrimp dish and Pasta. Really good. The chicken cut like butter. Salad / bread included. We all enjoyed. Service was outstanding. We used a gift certificate, which is what brought us here . Be back soon. Byo. Don't forget the dessert.

I had really hoped to like this restaurant but the truth is that it was VERY disappointing for many reasons. The first sign of trouble was when I poured myself some of the olive oil in the bottle on the table on my plate to dip the bread. To be fair the fresh Italian bread on the table was delicious - very fresh, round authentic loaf. So I was so excited to dip it in the flavored olive oil. I did only the realize the oil was TERRIBLY rancid!!! Once I discovered that it was not surprising. The bottles are clear, not dark. They are sitting out in the tables and I am sure they don't take them in and put them away at night or during the day when they are closed and it must get very warm in there. It you have ever tasted old, rancid oil you will know EXACTLY what I mean. And I am not saying it was "off" or not fresh. It was BAD. I would bet all they do is top it off. After that I gave the complimentary garlic bread a try - that was a mistake too. Some very oily garlic in oil and spread on bread - not toasted though. Just sliced bread. No seasoning. But it was free so I guess that's appealing to some and I can't complain that it was not very good. We had the steamed clams in the white sauce and fried calamari as an appetizer. Calamari was fine. Crispy. Tasty. The clams - bland. Very bland. The sauce was oddly gummy and thickened like they used cornstarch - it was most definitely not due to butter. It was strange. The lobster ravioli were terribly overcooked and mushy although they tasted fine. The pink sauce was okay - needed salt but then was edible. The mushroom ravioli dish however was terrible. It had the same insipid white sauce as those steamed clams. The ravioli were terribly overcooked too and they were lacking flavor. The shiitake mushrooms in the sauce are canned. They were slimy, limp, and tasteless. The tomatoes were overcooked so mushy and tasteless too. The fresh spinach leaves on the top and the crumbles sausage were the only redeeming parts that had any flavor - which might have been fine had I ordered sausage and spinach. I hate to say this but I have to be honest. The restaurant was full. We are in our 50s and other than one other young person we were the youngest people in the house. I guess this restaurant is frequented by a loyal older crowd. And perhaps that is why it can survive with this quality of output. Particularly because it isn't low end price wise. On that note, I will add that after dinner you got a complimentary shot of limoncello or sambuca. This is smart marketing because they were tiny shots and they were certainly watered down. I'd be angry if I paid for them, but they too were free. This however is the sort of marketing ploy that makes people say wow that's great. But again I come for the meal. Not the watered down half shot at the end. Bottom line: If you are looking for decent Italian this is NOT the place to choose. There are many other better options - especially for the price. I'm sorry to say this but I would never recommend this to anyone who expects even decent tasting Italian food. Don't be fooled by the good reviews. If you notice the five star reviews are almost all coming from people who have only that review on Yelp and those pictures. They are not true reviews by real Yelp users. Note how many if any are from Yelp elite or Yelpers with a number of reviews. That's important to reading the ratings for what they are. If you go like we did only to find out they are so off, do others a favor like we did and review it honestly.

Rigatoni with sausage and peas in pink sauce

I had vodka in pink sauce for my entree and my father had the rigatoni with sausage and peas. Both of us were surprised how bland both meals were. We never add salt to food, but we had to because they both tasted like nothing. With salt added my penne was edible though not enjoyable. I have had better from my local pizzeria I am sorry to say. My father's rigatoni was similarly disappointing. The sausage was so overcooked it had very little flavor left. The peas were too were overcooked to the point they were mushy and didn't taste like anything either. The best part of the meal was the fresh bread with butter. I can't recommend this restaurant.

They have a way of making a special night feel even more significant, balancing professional excellence with genuine warmth. They even made a personalized Specials Menu for the celebration! And the food? It's consistently fantastic. We started with a spread of appetizers that set the bar high: the Stuffed Figs and Meatball specials were standout hits, and you can't go wrong with their perfectly crisp Caesar Salad or the Escargot Scampi in that delicious puff pastry. For the main course, the Filet Mignon Oscar and Veal Imperial specials were prepared to perfection - decadent and incredibly fresh. The Cacio e Pepe was authentic and flavorful, and the Capellini special was light, but OH SO satisfying. They topped off the night with a beautiful birthday surprise -- Crème Brûlée (complete with a "Happy Birthday" chocolate sign and candle!) along with the Mixed Berries with Biscotti (can't go wrong with perfection!). Thank you to the entire team at Savini's for making my 40th Birthday Extravaganza so memorable. Whether it's a casual dinner or a life milestone, this place remains our "steady ground" and our favorite tradition. Can't wait for the next visit!

Andreas is a local staple in Waldwick, NJ, that serves Italian Fare food. Went here on Thursday July 17th 2025 with my parents and my cousin, and his friend. We made a reservation in case it was busy there, and good thing, because around 7 or so it was starting to get busy! Highly recommend one does make a reservation. Was greeted by a host, who sat us at a table. Duly note, I did feel a little chilly, but always bring my sweater for that reason. The table was set with a wine glass, and a water glass, and silverware. perfect for an eventful dining experience. Our server came over right away and introduced himself. Only con is I really couldn't understand him that well, especially when he stated the specials. Anyways, we started with 5 waters, and some also ordered titos with sprite. My cousin also brought some wine with him- not sure if this place is BYOB (bring your own booze). We started off with Fried Calamari, Tomato and Mozzarella, and Zuccinhi Fritti. Food came out in a timely manner- we also took a while to look over the menu. I enjoyed the Zuccini and fried calamari! Finally we decided what we wanted-- I ordered the Zuppa De pesci, which was pasta with mussels, salmon, calamari, shrimp, and scallops. Some of the other dishes my party got was the scallop scampi, and some veal dish. I very much enjoyed my seafood entree- oh and the salad came with it too! I ate most of my meal, but then also took some leftovers home with me. Oh, and the server didn't quite communicate with me that they box the leftovers, but once i got the message, it was all good. Paid via a gift card, then the balance with a credit card, and left a cash tip. Highly recommend stopping at Andreas in Waldwick! If we are ever in the area again, would definitely go!
