Still very much a go to restaurant for me and the family. Lunch is an excellent deal, including soup of the day, house salad and an entree. Crusty bread from a local bakery. Prices vary depending on the entree you get. Just beware that the prices for specials are significantly higher than all other lunch entrees. Ask before ordering so you're clear. Dinners are great here as well. My favorite dishes are... Every veal dish, chicken Murphy, seafood entrees, some pastas. My kids love the chicken Parm here. Plenty to choose from. Service is always great and speedy. You'll be in and out in an hour, if that's what you want. Desserts aren't homemade or anything like that - likely Restaurant Depot stuff. Still, the whole experience here, pricing, quality of food and did I mention... It's BYOB! Plus, they have a rewards system and you can earn points towards a free dessert. I went to Bellissimo for dinner recently and had a nice time. It started out pretty cold and then became stuffy and warm - the configuration of the restaurant is a bit strange, but we managed. Our food was pretty good, and the staff was attentive. They don't take reservations for parties with less than 5 people, but luckily we only waited about 5 minutes. Came in this weekend to celebrate a bday. Had a table for4, keep in mind unless you 5 or more there are no reservations. We srrived at 5:15pm and we waited 5 mins for a table. As usual we brought 2 bottle of red and 1 of white wine. They were nice to chill the white wine for us. We ordered the fries calamari with the tomato sauce. I ordered from the special menu the stuffed pork chop on the bone, wow mind blowing. Mushroom, roasted potatoes, a big old chop stuffed with Mozzarella cheese in a tomato ragu. Totally delicious, and so big i think all we needed was a side of pasta to make it a winning dish. I end up ordering a full order of linguini in clam sauce aling with the chop and the wife and I ate like royalty!. I can say with full confidence that this is one of the BEST Italian restaurants I've been to in upper Bergen county! The staff are always so pleasant, the food truly never disappoints, and there's conveniently a liquor store right next to it for a BYOB moment. The prices are reasonable as well. Busy Saturday night but we were seated quickly. They're at the end of a strip mall with outdoor seating - nice location. Nice decor and menu. Very competent adult servers who know what they're doing. In cities like New York, Boston, and Chicago, Italian neighborhoods flourished, and with them, so did Italian restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores. Opened since 2008 and located off of Kinderkamack Road in Montvale, we have decided on dinner at Bellissimo because it combines a casual vibe with magnificent Italian cooking. They have a large following, where reservation is highly recommended and was easily made via their website. Upon arrival at a packed BYOB establishment, my partner, our friends, and I were greeted by the host, Bella, and got a table right away inside the larger dining room. The menu remains extensive, as well as the daily specials that are usually creative and unique enough to cover everyone's desire. As appetizers, we decided on Mozzarella En Carrozza and Calamari Fritti. For our meal, we opted for Veal Piccata, Stuffed Rigatoni, Eggplant Parmigiana, and one of tonight's specials consisting of shrimp, sausages, and pasta. All meals usually came with a house salad with balsamic vinegar, but our server, Gustavo, friendly and accommodating, hooked us up with a special salad to share. Complimentary bread started our meal. Each meal was expertly prepared using the fresh ingredients into a very generous portion and reasonably priced. The food remained consistently delicious. The ever-present owner, Arti, oversees the experience by ensuring a personal visit to each table where we made small talk. The staff is quick to refill your water or get anything anyone needs. Took my family out for lunch on a Saturday. Bellissimo was one of my mother's favorite restaurants. Was told we can only sit outside because they had two private parties inside. We were good with sitting outside. The weather was beautiful. Saturdays Bellissimo only serves dinner all day. The tables outside have no tablecloths. Inside had tablecloths. Had to ask for another napkin (my was on my lap) so I had no place to put my silverware down. Silverware on a bare table especially when sitting outside being severed a dinner menu is awkward. The lack of a tablecloth was not the only reason for 2 stars. The service and attention we normally get inside and expect was not there. We felt like we were getting second hand service for the same price. Left disappointed. read more

The attention to the cuisine and to the patrons were equally impeccable, as was the veal francese, which my fellow diner who is a flavor chemist by day and never likes anything said was the best he ever had. Even the cheesecake and the after dinner cappuccino were delectable. This is also a BYO establishment, which definitely helps with the cost and allows you to focus on enjoying as many of the delicious items off of their menu as you can! I don't love the open-room cafeteria style seating in general, as it gets noisy and people who are hearing impaired (like my father in one ear) would have a hard time drowning out the general noise here. Outdoor seating on the patio during nice weather is a plus! The manager Artie, the brother of the owner, came over several times to check in about our experience. Bellissimo is a great choice for dinner, particularly if you want good food and good service with less frills. I prefer BYOB restaurants such as Bellissimo when I want to plan ahead and pick out a nice wine or beer to have with my meal. Parking can be...challenging. The lot is not very large and the adjacent lot is shared with a couple stores. We started out with the customary bread and butter and the bread was quite nice. Next was an appetizer special, polenta with sausage and broccoli rabe, which was awesome. And it was a full meal onto itself! My entrée was the veal al Antonio. It was very good but the veggie sides were skippable. I topped all that off with a nice limoncello ricotta cake and decaf cappuccino. I was stuffed. I was happy. And I'll do it again. First time visiting this restaurant. It's a BYOB which is fantastic bc you can pair your own wines. For a Wednesday night the place was jamming! We came early so we were able to get a table quickly. The food was so delicious that by the time I thought of taking pics the plate was empty! We started with the beet salad special, roasted yellow and red beets with fresh mozzarella over arugula, so tasty. We also had the mozzarella corroza which was crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. My friend had the chicken piccata which she said was so good. Had lunch there yesterday. The staff welcomed us and seated us when we arrived. We were informed by our server about the specials for lunch. Did not rush us with our ordering. We had delicious minestrone soup followed by a beautiful salad. We selected on of the specials and also the Shrimp Milanese which was jumbo shrimp over pasta in a beautiful sauce. I'm talking average age of 70. Median 72. Groups of 8-10 on the regular. Man... what a life to be retired and just take a 4 hour lunch at Bellissimo. Takes em' 2 hours alone to drink their soup... and they'll still say it's too hot. Of course the ratings here are through the roof, they've lost their taste buds over the years. Listen, I love the elderly. I honor them, respect them, but I'm spitting the factual truths. I'll listen though to what my grandmother says about this joint. She'll come because the space is big and she can throw bangers for her 60+ community. The food is fine and the portions are good. And there's an alcohol shop right next to it so it makes BYOB easy sleezy. Little vino makes the nonna tolerate the girls downstairs that got the pity invite ya know what I mean ladiessssss??? This is one of my favorite italian spots in the area. As a few other reviewers have mentioned, their Chicken Parm with vodka sauce is unmatched. The normal parm is good too but their vodka sauce just takes it to another level. Came here most recently with some friends and were not disappointed. Made a last minute reservation (we were a table of 6) on a Saturday night and they were able to seat us instantly. The bread is warm and fresh and the butter was room temperature which is a nice touch. Everyone at the table ordered the Chicken Parm with vodka sauce, and we all had leftovers. Good portion size and comes with a salad, which is always good. We also ordered the calamari app and stuffed artichokes, which were so cheesey and delicious!
