Two and a half hours for dinner is just unacceptable. The food is good, but not so good that they get a pass on the service. About 15 minutes after our party was fully seated, the waiter shows up to take our drink orders, delivers the drinks and then disappears. Someone else, the Maitre d' maybe, show up to take our order. Both appetizers and entrees were taken. About a half our later the appetizers show up. At this point, the own stops by and asks, "how's everything?". We tell him the service seems a bit slow tonight. At this point, you would think, okay, but no, things got even slower. Took at least another twenty minutes to get the entrees. While people are still eating the bus person starts clearing plates. Reaches right across the person next to me as they are bringing a fork full of food up from their plate. Extremely rude. Entrees clears about fifteen minutes later the waiter shows up to take our desert orders. He was asked to bring the check with the desert. He doesn't. Waiting over twenty minutes for coffee, a slice of cake, a slice of cheese cake and two sorbets. Really? So I ask a member of the staff to have our waiter come right away. Never shows up, but the server did come back with the coffee. The waiter finally shows up with the deserts but no check. Again we complain, this time to the Maitre 'd. Not once did anyone say, sorry it took so long.

We began with the seafood salad...a delicious mix of tender squid, scungilli, octopus, and shrimp over lightly dressed arugula. It was a beautiful portion and paired perfectly with their warm focaccia and garlic infused olive oil. Then came the complimentary salads before the best grilled lamb chops entrée I've had in years. Outstanding. A full rack of tender, flavorful, juicy baby rib chops served with broccoli rabe and roasted potatoes. OMG. While devouring this meal, I was a bit without words. Did I mention it was a full rack?! We also enjoyed a bottle of their house Cabernet with dinner. Very smooth and a solid table wine for the price. It paired beautifully with the lamb, and the other entree we got...homemade fresh pasta with short rib ragu. Wow... that really was the best entrée I've had anywhere in a long time, and it puts Bosfa in my top three restaurants. P.S. Sign up for their rewards program!

As soon as you walk in, you will notice the classy, chic décor of the dining area; it gives off old Hollywood vibes. The seating is tight and the restaurant is on the smaller side, so I recommend making a reservation as it can get busy. The hostesses and servers are friendly, attentive, and personable. I always end up having good conversations with my server haha. As soon as I sit down, I'm already in a good mood because their complimentary bread served with olive oil and butter is to die for! During all of my past visits, I've never been disappointed with a dish. They have specials so there's always something new to try on the menu. Just a heads up, they are BYOB! These are some of my personal favorites: -Chicken Francese ($23.95) - The chicken cutlet is so tender, and the chefs get the francese sauce just right. It's a perfect balance of white wine, lemon, butter, and egg. You have the option of adding one free side: (1) potatoes and vegetables OR (2) pasta (angel hair, penne, rigatoni). -Pasta Limon ($31.95) - HEAVENLY... This dish consists of angel hair pasta in a creamy sauce that's a combination of lemon, parmesan, and butter. It comes with chicken and shrimp. -Fig di Sicilia Pizza ($17.95) - This has always been my #1 favorite appetizer, but sometimes it tastes better than other days. When it's made to my liking, it's basically a thin flatbread topped with mozzarella, fig marmalade, prosciutto, and arugula. This appetizer is the reason why I started eating figs LOL -Cannoli - These are HUGE and their ricotta filling is absolutely delicious! I have to roll myself out the door after eating here! Good thing I work out.

Foremost, the restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with lots of greenery and elegant lighting. Our waiter provided top tier service throughout the night. The appetizers we ordered were perfect shareable bites and so delicious. The homemade focaccia was light and crispy. Perfectly toasted! This comes at the start of your meal for all of the tables. I loved the fried calamari, burrata and prosciutto, and the pear salad. I was most intrigued with the mussel flatbread appetizer. It was topped with a light buttery sauce and garlic. Very good! The meatballs were also a standout for me. In addition to an amazing start to my meal, I loved the cocktail options. From various spritz choices to Negronis, you can tell the cocktail menu was carefully crafted. Verana is known for the best chicken parmigiana. Not only did this dish deliver, but the portion size was unreal. Some of my dining party finished it. However, I have amazing leftovers for today. You have an option to get a side of homemade pasta. I went with the spaghetti. All pasta dishes are made from scratch. Other honorable mentions include the pasta normica and bolognese. Moving on to the sweet dessert options! The cappuccino's had a nice and bold coffee flavor. The pistachio gelato and apple tart were music to my ears! So fresh and really hits any sweet tooth. The tiramisu had a nice pairing of coffee flavor and cinnamon. My first dining experience at Verana will definitely not be my last. I can't stop talking about all of the incredible dishes that my family and I tried. Thank you Verana for an incredible meal!

I think I finally found a spot where I can confidently get good pasta AND dessert. My partner and I stopped in this week, and we were immediately met with cool, industrial-style decor and a BOMB playlist. The staff was super friendly and helped a lot with specials and recommendations, as it was our first time. For drinks, we started with a Fig & Melon cocktail and their Old Fashioned. Both were great, but I think the old-fashioned wins over the Fig & Melon. It's smoky and sweet, while the F&M was citrusy and refreshing. To start, we ordered the Mozzarella Sticks Di Bar Mutz with Mutz Hot Honey & Sour Milk. Personally, I am tired of hot honey on everything, haha, so this wasn't for me. If they served it on the side first vs drizzled on top, I probably would have enjoyed it more, as the mozz sticks alone were delicious. The breading was more like a garlic bread than the traditional coating. It also comes with extra hot honey on the side. For our mains, we shared the Spicy Rig and Trottole. Again, both are really good, but the Trottole was the CLEAR winner. The short rib was rich, and the overall dish was perfect for the savory lover like me. The Spicy Rig was lighter, and the bite of pasta with basil was excellent. For dessert, we ordered the mile high espresso martini, affogato martini, which had ice cream they make in-house, and the Samoas cheesecake. Every single thing was delicious! It's a good problem to have when you're dining somewhere, and you're battling it out for who has the best dish. Can't wait to come back and bring friends!

I like the open concept kitchen and the music was definitely on point. However , the food was mostly disappointing , I would say. The mozzarella delicious. Butter cake delicious. But all three pastas that we ordered were definitely not worth the price. I was really excited for the spicy rigatoni that I got and I asked the guy how spicy it was. And he said, 2 out of 10, but when I got it, it was definitely 0 out of 10 spicy. He said too many people complained about the spice level. So they dumbed it down, but it just tasted like tomato sauce with no spice at all. Unfortunate. There were a couple of other appetizers or things on the menu I would be willing to try, but I won't be running back to this spot anytime soon. Especially since it was a good distance away from me.

The waitress brought us a cocktail menu so we ordered one each only to have her return and say they were out of cocktails we could have beer or wine. Then another woman presumably a manager said we could get cocktails just not the ones on the menu she explained they were out of certain liquors due to a large weekend event (we were there on Wednesday) she attempted to make her own concoctions they were no to our liking. We did not let her know that because she obviously was trying to do her best. Service was very slow again the manager apologized saying they were short staffed. The food was not bad unfortunately they got my wife's order wrong and at one point they brought our food to the wrong table. The manager was very apologetic and you could tell she wanted to make a good impression for the establishment. When we were ready to pay they did not know how to process the gift card saying the person who could do it was not there. They asked that we leave the gift card and would process the payment and call me so I could return to get the gift card with the remaing balance. I obliged and left all my contact info but they never called back. After a few weeks we finally trekked back over only to be told they had no clue what we were talking about. Eventually we got things settled. What was supposed to be a nice evening turned into a nuisance of back and forth driving although it's only 20 minutes away unless we were going there specifically it's 20 minute out of our way. The venue itself has a very nice decor the staff seem friendly. The night was a disappointment & I probably would not go back if it wasn't for the fact that I still have some monies left on the gift certificate.
