This place is amazing. We walked in 8 of us, the place is packed, 4 big rooms each with maybe 15 tables and each table full. The service was excellent, the food was excellent and better yet it's byob, so the bill was excellent! I couldn't recommend it more if I tried! Came here for an early dinner circa 5:15 on a Friday night. Cute Italian place with white tablecloths, but very comfortable environment. We were the first ones there, but within 20 minutes the place started to get packed and by the time we finished dinner, the line was out the door. A ton of people picking up food to go as well. Started with a calamari, which was an impressive. A bunch of rings lightly breaded, but not much flavor. For dinner, we all had a variety of dishes which include included the swordfish, bronzino, chicken Parm, and the Bolognese. Our mains came with a side salad. All were phenomenal. Hi, I recently tried Delpinos, a spot that was recommended to me. My friends know me as a chef and someone who gives honest feedback about food, thanks to my years in the industry. Whenever I visit a new place, I look at it both as a chef and as a customer, and I try to give thoughtful reviews. Delpinos purchased this location from a wonderful restaurant I used to go to many years ago. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name but I wanted to try the new-to-me establishment. Delpinos service was pretty solid, on top of our needs. thank peeps! Food was lacking. Lacking in flavor, a wow factor, and, unfortunately, portion size, especially for the price tags. I'm known to order Eggplant Rollatini at Italian restaurants. That's my measuring stick for a good Italian restaurant. If it's fresh, not frozen, and prepared well, then it's sky's the limit after that. The taste was very good and seemed fresh; however, the app came in 2 small stuffed eggplants. Very underwhelming. It was $14. A couple of things to consider. Eggplants come in a variety of sizes, so the chef needs to determine the quality of the eggplant when serving it. Someone should have noticed the size of their standard 2 per person and said, "Let's give 3 pieces because they are so small". - This was not the case. Live and learn, chefs. I ordered Chicken Milanaise again, a go-to at a new location for me. Another underwhelming dish. A wow factor was once again. The arugula salad was just average, nothing set it apart from other Italian restaurants. As always, I will give a restaurant another try and hope that it was just an off day but just remember, you may never get another chance to give your best. read more

5 guys ate at here Sunday evening. Reservation at 6:00pm. Not very busy at that hour. Ordered a "tripple" appetizer; basically fried calamari, zucchini and something else. Waiter it would be enough for the 5 of of us. If only one person had it I would call it skimpy. To matters worse it 2as not even hot. We ordered another appy of calamari. A little better. But far from good. Entrees took forever to come out, and the place was not busy. Mine Veal Parmigian with penne pasta. Not even lukewarm. Why---beats me. Went yesterday with 2 other couples for dinner. Most of my other favorite restaurants are closed on Mondays so was pleased to find out Delpino's was open. We got starters to share - 2 fried calamari and fresh figs stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped with prosciutto. Both were very good. 2 of our group got the blackened branzino and 2 others got the veal franchese - both fantastic. Other guest had shrimp scampi and I went old school with chicken parm because it was mentioned in many reviews. Good call - it was excellent. Great slightly sweet red sauce. For dessert we shared a chocolate lava cake with vanilla gelato, coconut cake and italian ricotta cheesecake. Service was friendly and efficient and prices very reasonable and ...it's byob! We were patrons of the restaurant that preceded Delpino in this location. We came back for nostalgic reasons and were not disappointed. BYOB makes this a more affordable option. We both had the Veal Fiorentina, our favorite from when this place was Aldo's. Not disappointed. We finished with the ricotta cheesecake. Also very good. The salad that comes with each entree was delicious and the bread/butter was also good. Service was attentive and efficient. So happy that the tradition lives on! read more

What a pleasant surprise. The hotel recommended this hidden gem in a small strip mall and while it looks understated it's a white tablecloth larger than you realize very warm place. The food is wonderful as is the service and the menu is very varied. If there was anything I would change is that their house salad is included and that is not great. They should charge for an upgrade to an alternate salad. The other thing to be aware of is that it is a BYOB restaurant so make sure you bring your own wine but beyond that this place is special. Reasonably priced, great food, excellent service in a warm atmosphere. If we lived here this would be our go to Italian restaurant for sure. read more

What a terrible dining experience we had last night. The food was good enough even though the server kept forgetting meals and requests. My problem was with the wait staff. Our main waitress was so indifferent & never apologized for her many errors. First she didn't ask 2 people at our table what they wanted as an appetizer, then she missed one of them again for the entree, didn't ask everyone for dessert or coffee & when we asked for the check she just flung it on the table. Delpinos is located in a strip mall and so unassuming. They have lots of specials each night and amazing service. Most diners here enjoy the BYO option. I opted for the twist on a chicken Milanese "special" with mango and Gorgonzola - very tasty! My friend didn't like the alla vodka sauce over penne and sent it back saying it was a bit bitter. We made up for it with a big slice of divine carrot cake for dessert. Still a super nice relaxing dinner - took off one star because the online menu prices don't match the check prices. read more

Heard a few good comments so decided to give it a go. The 4 of us all said it was overall OK. The Calamari was very good, tender and flavorful. Also the staff were very polite supporting the solid 3 stars, yet apologetic about slow service snd noise. I had the Chicken Parmigiana, my go to when trying a new Italian restaurant. It was below average, too thin so mostly batter throughput 2/3 if the piece, leaving a limited chicken taste. The angel hair was again average, a bit wet. Others had the Bronzino fish special and they said it was ok but not much flavor. Also they literally packed the rooms so noise is very load, and the food arrives very slowly on a Saturday night. Came here on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. We have found a new place to dine with great food and good prices! We dined on a quiet Sunday night, and enjoyed the food, the ambiance, the service and the kindness of the staff. We were dining with an elderly friend and I had asked to be placed in a quiet corner away from others and the request was more than met. I asked for a veal piccata (which was not on their menu) and they cheerfully obliged producing a tender, tasty dish. The mozzarella, prosciutto and red pepper appetizer was fresh and delicious. Entrees include a large, fresh and delicious salad. The clams oreganata were also well done, not mushy at all which can be a hazard with the breadcrumbs in this dish. The tiramisu for dessert was perfect, and very large! I should note that the restaurant was doing a big take out business as well. read more

Been going to this location for at least 8 years, previously under a different name. This an old world restaurant and the clientele on any given night are old because they know it's hard to find really good food with excellent service and fellow patrons that are not slobs. Tonight I ordered an appetizer special, avocado shells scraped out and refilled with shrimp, tomato, red onion and avocado chunks with a bit of olive oil. The picture will do it justice and the only improvement would be to sprinkle some lemon juice on it which I had available via my ice tea's lemon! Great idea, nice flavors and delightful presentation but comes with a 18:00 price tag. Next up was Zuppa di Pesce and have ordered this here on several occasions. Nice dish although it seemed a little smaller this time around but still more than I could eat. Normally they serve this dish with salmon but asked for it to be replaced with sole. They accommodated my request which was nice pointing out that getting fish in this dish in most places is rare as my experience is they include either Lobster or Scallops but suspect market costs have drive up cost and fish is the next best thing. My only disappointment was the sole was overcooked which makes sense considering salmon is thick and sole is thin so the cooking time needs to be shorten by adding in for 3 min tops. Sauce aka gravy was perfectly spiced and not over powered by the fish making me use bread to enjoy it all. Price tag was 30.00 and it came with a salad and bread. read more

I'm a driver with a delivery company and today I got an order under the OLD name "Aldo & Gianni" from this place that hasn't existed here in about 2 years. Trying to capitalize on a defunct name and a past reputation, or just too lazy to change the name!? I'll let you be the judge, but it sure seems like something a restaurant that needs Gordon Ramsey would do. Other then that, order was ready when I arrived and the crazy rude lady with dark hair seems to have mellowed down a bit from 2 years ago. Maybe I just caught her on a good day lol I'm sure many others besides myself have put her in her place. Good for them! As for the food quality, I wouldn't know, as I haven't tried it, but probably wouldn't on the attitude I've experienced here and the long waits I hear about. Eh, not too good. It started with the hostess acting like she's doing us a favor by sitting us at the draftiest table in the house... And that's with a reservation. Everything here was slow. And loud. A long wait for everything. Cold bread, a waiter, opening our wine, appetizers, salads, entrees, just slow. And it's noisy and drafty. The seafood salad was tasty, but had no scungilli as it should've per the menu. The waiter checked with the kitchen and they apparently ran out. Rather than mentioning this, they added one extra shrimp as compensation. So it was squid salad with some shrimp. Nicely seasoned, but a little disappointing. Salads come with the meal, but are nothing to get excited about. A bit of iceberg lettuce and lightly dressed. Well, it's complimentary. Entrees: calamari fra diavlo was salty, but at least the calamari was tender. This was edible. The linguini with clam sauce was almost inedible. Tasty sauce, but the clams were absolute rubber and chewy. I told the waiter, but he just apologized. Do not order this. Fresh clams, which is great, but way overcooked. We have no plans to return. Food was inconsistent, restaurant is very loud and while the wait staff were friendly and apologetic, we experienced long waits overall after sitting. Not worth it. read more
