Cozy area with a family setting and welcoming, plenty of parking outside with other small shops to stroll around after dinner and walk off all the carbs. Waitress and workers were all friendly with a smile, you don't feel like a bother asking questions about things on the menu. Ordered a bunch of things to try for a party of 6, made reservations but it was a weekday and def didn't need one but better safe than sorry. I read it was homemade pasta? Which is awesome you rarely see that these days. Sauce on each pasta was nice and cheesy. I just say the pizza was a tad floppy for me though. Perhaps too thin? Or maybe not burnt enough? It had great flavor but I rather it have a good when I grabbed it. Overall I would def come back and try other things. Pizza pie and beer? Can't go wrong with that!

    Margarita & Pallon

Delicious pizza- had the margarita and the pallon. Both were excellent. Crust is very light on the stomach and not floppy. Stomach felt great after too (not greasy)! Also very nice ambiance!

I finally got to try this relatively new place and brought my family of four on a Friday night. I called in advance and made a reservation. The person on the phone spoke clearly and was pleasant to talk to. There are a decent amount of tables inside considering it's a small place. They do get crowded at peak hour so we were fortunate to have the reservation. They sell beer and wine here. Prices for a bottle of wine aren't terrible, so I bought a bottle of Montepulciano. It wasn't wonderful, but was drinkable enough. We started with their Casa Salad (house salad). The portion size matched the price and I enjoyed it. Loaded with shallots and olives, it's my kind of salad. My daughter took one bite of the picked zucchini on top and was turned off due to the acidity. My wife ate the salad with my, but if anyone doesn't like salads that are too acidic, maybe try a different one. Our server was very pleasant, friendly and I noticed all servers worked well together and communicated well. I think the staff here do a fine job. None of our entrees had us generally satisfied. My son's gnocchi in Sunday sauce was bland and watery. It wasn't a rich flavorful sauce at all. The peak cheek also lacked flavor. No seasoning, salt, pepper, anything could've helped this dish a bit. It just tasted like we were eating boiled pork and potatoes. I was very excited to try the pizzas here as I make my own neopolitan pizzas at home and have had wonderful, amazing ones in Rome. Both pizzas we received were quite watery in the middle. We couldn't lift a slice of margherita without the entire middle half sopping over and contents oozing. We did our best to squish master together and bite, but that's not how it should be. Even my daughter's polpette Pizza want much better for structure and she also said it got a little sickening to eat. I do think the pizza dough here was delicious and there's potential. Whoever was making these pizzas was likely putting too much on them for the thickness of the crust. Unfortunately, nobody enjoyed anything enough for us to warrant a return. I am very pleased to say they do not charge a credit card fee! Bravo to the owner.

We have been talking about wanting to go to Pizzizalo for a while. We went on a Thursday night and when we arrived at 5:30, with no reservation and it was empty. However, when we left, the place was slammed and almost every table was taken. For drinks I had the red sangria, which was just average, I wouldn't order it again. My husband had an Italian beer. We ordered one of the specials as an appetizer, little dipper. The description had baby spinach, italian artichoke, house ricotta and more. When it arrived, it was not what was expected. It was all mixed together like a spinach dip. The flavor wasn't good, it tasted like frozen spinach. I did not like it at all. It was served with sourdough. The sourdough was by far the highlight of the meal. It was warm, crispy, and soft. We almost ate all of it. For an entree, we split the sausage and broccoli rabe pizza. It said it was spicy on the menu, but there was no spice at all. All I tasted was the broccoli rabe, which was delicious. The dough was too tasty, but it was too thin and would fall apart at the bottom. We are happy we tried it, but we won't be returning anytime soon.

Owned by a true Italian, this small and cozy restaurant invites you to experience a true taste of Italy. I was incredibly impressed with everything I devoured. I recommend the mouth watering fresh autumn buratta accompanied by a bed of arugula with prosciutto, almonds, apples, and drizzled balsamic glaze. The cacio e pepe ($19) was delicious and perfectly cooked. The owner creates his own phenomenal pizzas in a brick oven of around 700 degrees. I highly recommend all pizzas, but the Benny blanco pizza ($20) was out of this world. We sat at the wine bar where the ambiance was intimate and all staff (most from Italy!) were friendly and attentive. The wine list offers many options, but we had the crisp Sauvignon blanc. I will definitely be returning to Pizzetiello!

Run, don't walk to this authentic Italian "pizzetielo." Great menu. The pizza is very special. The arugula salad was the best I've ever had in my life. Gracious staff with lots of smiling faces. Large portions, two could share a salad n pizza. As ambiance goes, I felt transported back to Napoli. I can't wait to come back.

Do not sleep on this local Italian gem. Since my wife and I found this place we come once a week. Everything on the menu is yummy. The pasta is made in house and the portions are fantastic. It's a cute spot with great ambiance and easy on the wallet. Not a full bar but the drinks offered are perfect along with Italian wine and beer. Giada, the lead hostess, is amazing. Highly recommend.

We had lunch at Pizzetiello this weekend. We kept it pretty simple and straight forward with a house salad, Spicy Vodka Rigatoni, Pesto Napoletano and the Tiramisu neo-classico for dessert. We started with the salad and as an italian american with grand parents from naples, the salad took me back to sitting shoulder to shoulder crammed into my grandparents back yard, perfectly dressed, fresh ingredients, perfectly pickled veggies and delightful olives was the perfect start and a really nice palate cleanser that we kept on the table through the our pasta course. The pasta dishes were wonderfully balanced and perfectly cooked. My rigatoni was very al dente, just spicy enough and the right amount of besciamella to counter the heat. My wife had the Pesto Napoletano which had plenty of of zuchinni and lovely mix of basil and cheese. We finished with the tiramisù neo-classico which featured mascarpone whipped cream that was a really nice touch. Simple and delicious. The restaurant is very clean and well appointed, the staff clearly takes pride in keeping the establish looking it's best. It's open, fresh and very welcoming. We are fortunate to live in the nyc area with a plethora of amazing food options and experiences but this is honestly the first restaurant i've been to that is as good as the food i've eaten while in Italy. We always yearn for Italy 'style' italian food which for whatever reason seems very difficult to replicate in the states but Pizzetiéllo has done it! This is my new favorite restaurant i literally can not wait to go back!

I LOVE Pizzetiello - it's absolutely become a Pearl River favorite! The food is DELICIOUS and I love sitting at the bar space with the open kitchen - seeing the pizzas made is really incredible, you can see how fresh everything is and how much care goes into making them. Want to make a note that it was explicitly explained to us that when ordering pasta, it's more of an appetizer size (though for me, it was more than enough when paired with an app!). The cacio e pepe I had was some of the best I've had outside of Italy - absolutely perfect, SO fresh, and filling! I actually couldn't finish all of mine. The pizza is also DELICIOUS, with so many different varieties and the perfect size to split (or just have for yourself if you're really hungry!) - love pairing and splitting a pizza and pasta dish. There are always great specials too, we've taken advantage of the burrata apps each time we've gone. The drinks are also solid - beer and wine/wine cocktails, but incredibly unique and some great Spritz variations! The service is also beyond amazing - the whole team is friendly, they remembered us when we came back, and were just delightful to interact with. Can't speak more highly of the team working at Pizzetiello! This is one of those spots we walked by one day and bookmarked to go into and I am SO happy that we did - it's the perfect spot for time with friends, to have a date night, or grab a pizza/food to go! Very different (in a good way) from other Pearl River spots (and I'm actually now craving another cacio e pepe, so will have to make a stop there soon!).

Modified Don Bosco without any pork (I asked them to omit the guanciale)

The best restaurant around! The owner and chef Danny is a remarkable cook and human being, with years of training and experience cooking for some of the top restaurants in the country under his belt before opening up Pizzetiello. The pizza is immaculate and authentic- the only real Neapolitan pizza in the area! They are now using fresh mozzarella too! The pasta is fresh pasta and is just as authentic and exquisite. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional. The entire place was well constructed and meticulously designed, creating a soothing ambiance that celebrates the Napoli FC Football club from Naples, Italy- where the chef's family is from. I can not say enough good things about Pizzetiello. It's worth coming to no matter where you are! You won't find too many places like it anywhere.

One of the best pizzas I've ever had

I've had pizza in Naples and every pizza I've had here more then holds its own against them. Seriously worth your time to stop in

We were craving for a good thin crust pizza and our fave spot in New City had closed. Finally, found a great replacement and we will be back for more. We tried the margarita and eggplant parm pie. Delicious and quality ingredients and cannot wait to come back for more and to try the rest of the menu.

I would give it 5 stars. Our waitress Swe, was delightful, kind, happy, described the dishes, gave suggestions, she is what you would expect from a waitress. Even the food runners were excellent, smiled and said hello when they approached the table. The service was definitely 5 star. The Food, presentation was excellent. The flavors, just weren't there. We started with these beautiful onion rings which were house made. Big, beautiful and fried to a crisp golden perfection, yet taste, there was none. absolutely nothing. the most boring onion ring ever. Then the wedge salad, chopped and soggy. If your going to reinvent a classic salad, it better be good. I had the seared yellow fin tuna, again what happen to the flavor. it had a carrot ginger puree, that was more for color than flavor. the best part was the arugula pickled onions and tomatoes that came on the plate. My dinner partner had 16 oz prime dry age rib eye, which he did not enjoy. I am not a meat eater but tastes it and was not impressed. this steak was so thin. they took 16oz and spread it across the entire plate, taking away the true essences of a steak. I was pretty disappointed in the food but the cocktails were very good as well as their wine-selection. I beautiful place with great staff, which i would go back maybe just for happy hour. One other disappointment is with being such an nice steakhouse and all of the staff dressed and all so professional why isn't there any type os dressed code. Why are they allowing people to dine in sweatpants and messy t shirts. They should have a requirement. most diners were dressed so nice but allowing sweat pants. my two star rating is based solely on the flavor of the food.

Upon arrival at Osteria Crescendo to celebrate my milestone birthday as first-timers, my partner and I were greeted by the staff. The space was split in two: one side is a bar, and the other is its pristine dining room filled with details such as white marble tabletops and glasses reminiscent of Italian craftsmanship. We were led to a table by the window with a wide range of music playing, evoking a vibe that was posh and modern yet still had its callbacks to the old country. Their menu adopts a more traditional Italian approach with antipasti, primi, secondi, per la tavola ("for the table," for sharing), and dolci. Sampling cocktails and nibbling from their bar menu takes us back to Venice, which, inspired by the Italian tradition of cicchetti (snacks), offered small plates, such as fried calamari and house-cured salumi, meant to be enjoyed with a glass of wine or a cocktail. As an appetizer to share, we opted for the Burrata. For our main meal, we decided on the Lancaster Amish Chicken and Spinach Girelle. We even saved some room for dessert and got their Apple Pie Sundae with vanilla gelato accompanied by a lit candle. Complimentary bread with oil started our meal. The food was delicious, presented well, and generous portions from a well-thought-out menu with a complete balance of flavors. Not only were the noodles freshly made in-house, but they're also perfectly cooked, wonderfully firm to the bite. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, especially our server Chanelle, who made the experience even better. We can recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal!

We stopped in mid-week for a family dinner after work and even on a Wednesday the place was buzzing. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny, which makes for a cozy atmosphere but also means tables are very close together. If you can, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The menu is somewhat minimal, but the food overall was good. I eat gluten-free and noticed the options were a bit limited, which made ordering slightly challenging. I ended up going with the sea scallops. They were nicely cooked, but the portion was smaller than I expected--five small scallops with some vegetables. For the price, I do wish the portion had been a bit more generous. I have to admit I left still a little hungry. My dad ordered the short rib grilled cheese and really enjoyed it. That was probably the standout dish at our table. My sister ordered the honey bourbon chicken and said it was okay, but afterward she mentioned she probably should have gone with the short rib grilled cheese instead. One surprise of the night was live music on a Wednesday. I usually enjoy live music, but since we were hoping to catch up as a family it made conversation a little difficult. The music was fairly loud for such a small space. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. They also have a rewards program, which worked out nicely--my dad received a complimentary dessert for his birthday. I ordered the crème brûlée, which was a great way to end the meal. A couple practical tips: parking in Ridgewood can be tricky. The restaurant advertises valet parking, though we didn't use or see it during our visit. If you find street parking, make sure to feed the meter because the town is known for giving out tickets. In warmer months they do offer some outdoor sidewalk seating, though it looks fairly limited. It also appears they have a happy hour, though we didn't arrive in time to try it. Overall, I'd recommend checking out Steel Wheel Tavern--just be mindful of the timing of your visit, especially if you're hoping for a quieter dinner.

They have a way of making a special night feel even more significant, balancing professional excellence with genuine warmth. They even made a personalized Specials Menu for the celebration! And the food? It's consistently fantastic. We started with a spread of appetizers that set the bar high: the Stuffed Figs and Meatball specials were standout hits, and you can't go wrong with their perfectly crisp Caesar Salad or the Escargot Scampi in that delicious puff pastry. For the main course, the Filet Mignon Oscar and Veal Imperial specials were prepared to perfection - decadent and incredibly fresh. The Cacio e Pepe was authentic and flavorful, and the Capellini special was light, but OH SO satisfying. They topped off the night with a beautiful birthday surprise -- Crème Brûlée (complete with a "Happy Birthday" chocolate sign and candle!) along with the Mixed Berries with Biscotti (can't go wrong with perfection!). Thank you to the entire team at Savini's for making my 40th Birthday Extravaganza so memorable. Whether it's a casual dinner or a life milestone, this place remains our "steady ground" and our favorite tradition. Can't wait for the next visit!

Wisely recognized as America's oldest tavern with its stone facade, the Old '76 House, located on Main Street in Tappan, has been welcoming guests and was restored to its pristine condition by the Norden family. Step inside, and nearly every corner tells a story that served as a meeting place for local patriots during the American Revolutionary War. It also welcomed General George Washington for dining on occasion. He once received plans at the establishment that exposed Benedict Arnold as a traitor--prompting a dramatic reaction still talked about today. Upon entering without a reservation today for lunch, my partner and I were greeted by the host and got a cozy table by the fireplace with original Delft tiles in the Tap Room. The interior features rustic beamed ceilings, four fireplaces, vintage portraits, historical certificates and documents, as well as costumes and artifacts where patrons were able to walk around and marvel at them. The menu reflects the tavern's heritage, with dishes inspired by early American cuisine. We decided on the Thanksgiving Sandwich accompanied with fries and the Traditional American Meatloaf over Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Vegetables. For dessert, we shared Hannah's Apple Crunch with vanilla ice cream. But even more than the great and delicious food was the history, ambiance, and especially the way we were treated. Our server was Joe and checked on us often. The portion was healthy and the price comparable to the area's. If one has even a passing interest in American history, then it's a must to come here. Not just a meal, but an experience!
