Had been looking forward to trying this place because of location and perceived good food... Not! Poor service to start... it was a 90° humid day - I asked to be seated in the coolest place in the restaurant- they sat us at a table under a ventless A/C that leaked right onto our table! The other unit was broken, so we all sweltered. We moved to another table. Lackluster service - slow, inattentive with an uncomfortable upsell - we ordered a Caprese Sandwich & Pasta Bolonese waiter said "You don't want an Appetizer?" We had to ask for water 3x to get a refill of water. I asked for no salt on the chicken, thinking it was freshly made... tasted like a frozen item, pre-seasoned. I had to ask for pesto which was not on the sandwich. The Pasta serving entree was appetizer size & VERY salty. It felt like they wanted to do the bare bones to get the most out if you. Lousy service, non working A/C, mediocre food. I really wanted to like it, but sadly, will not return. read more

It's not very good at Vino Amore. In fact it may well be the most difficult meal that I've endured in quite some time. From the moment we sat down. I should have known to eat elsewhere, anywhere but this place. Maybe it was the lack of customers, or the completely clueless waiter who seemed to wish that he was on a beach catching some zzzzs. Whatever the case, he was disinterested and had to ask twice about our order. But getting back to the restaurant. I order a Peroni but they were out of it. So I ordered another beer, out of that too. And another. Out. They said they had a wheat beer (blue moon like). It came out flat and lukewarm. About a half hour passed and finally lunch arrived. I had ordered a meatball sandwich. What came on the plate was hardly edible. One tiny meatball, sliced thinly and layered between cheese that tasted of the fridge and a smear of lukewarm sauce. It was completely inedible. I picked around the plate hoping the meatballs would magically become flavorful, but alas, the only flavor I detected was that of liquid oozing out of the bread. It was supposed to be garlic bread but it resembles creamed chipped beef on toast. My companion had a Caesar salad without extra cheese and with grilled chicken. The waiter had to come back to the table twice. First to tell us that the cheese would be on the side, (old and flavorless slices of domestic Parmesan is just lazy in an Italian restaurant. The Caesar was missing the croutons! We waited another ten minutes to get a little cup of boxed, old tasting croutons. The chicken tasted like rubber. Probably from a bag, pre-scored with grilled chicken marks. Lazy again. I brought the sandwich back into the restaurant to complain and point helpfully at the mess that they wanted to charge me twenty dollars for. Needless to say it didn't appear of the check. And the iced tea my companion ordered may have been tea in a former life, but not recently. It was really terrible. Cheap Dixie cup plastic disposable cups for water. Again. Just lazy. Use a real plastic cup please. Conclusion? We should have gone elsewhere. It was a really bad sign that the restaurant was completely empty at 1:30 in the afternoon. That everyplace in town was bustling. But this one looked abandoned. I don't wish them poorly. Just a career change is warranted here. Food and beverage is not their forte. Nor is customer service. Nor their beverage program. Definitely not their food. Nor the service. Nor the cheap plastic disposable cups. read more

Went out for a girls night this weekend. I've been meaning to try this place since it opened! The back door patio is so cute and the food is excellent. The peaches & prosciutto is a must have! The shrimp scampi app and fig & prosciutto pizza were great as well. We also had the summertime pasta. Service was not so great and I'm going to leave it at that. Our waiter purposely avoided us after taking our order. I have a lot more to say but I know this place is new so I'll say that they're still getting their bearings together. read more

Christmas Eve lunch was great at this small quaint wine bar nestled in the town of Piermont. Great wine list and food choices. We started with caprese and shared sizzling garlic shrimp- both were amazing. I love the vibe in this place and will definitely be back. read more

In my opinion, this is one of the foniest, crappiest places in the area. "Salumi platter " consisted of sliced plain ass salami, some commercial crackers and a stale breadstick. I've had better on airplanes in economy. Panini on ciabatta bread came out on a sesame seeded hard roll but they insisted it was ciabatta. The cheese on the platter was cubes of Swiss cheese and some other insipid white cheese which made me yearn for the slices with the plastic in between them. Italian wine list appears more French and California. Waiters as dumb as bricks. Nice looking place tho. Avoid. read more

What an amazing find! Given the number of reviews, this must be a fairly new place but decided to give it a shot after walking by since the place looked great and the few reviews were very promising. This place did not disappoint. The interior is fairly small but very clean and chic. They also have a large outdoor patio area in the back. If they could repurpose that area for the winter, it could be great. The weather was a tiny bit chilly so opted to stay indoors and thankfully there were a few tables. The employees here were fantastic. They weren't pushy; gave us the option to pick which table we wanted to sit at. We had a toddler with us and this was the first restaurant I've seen to bring a highchair over and sanitize the chair and area. Major bonus points for this gesture. The menu isn't overwhelming, which I think is a good sign since it shows they put the menu together carefully and don't just put every dish known to mankind on there. While we were waiting for our food, our toddler started getting hangry, so they brought out bread for her which was great and totally calmed her down. Shortly thereafter, our pasta fresca and formaggio panini w/ tomato soup came out. All of the dishes were spectacular. Definitely ranks up there with some of the best italian dishes I've ever had. The three of us destroyed all the dishes. Although we were so full, we were still tempted to get another dish because the food was that good. However, we decided to be wise and just promised ourselves that we would come back here again. A great place and highly recommend. read more

4.5 stars I have to say that I really loved Vino Amore! I had never been to the town of Piermont, but made the trip to the adorable locale specifically to try the place. The village was artsy and historic; it was also right on the Hudson River with a lengthy pier for waterside strolling, as well as a quaint downtown full of cafes, shops, and restaurants. Vino Amore's welcoming storefront fit into the town perfectly, but they also offered a modern, Manhattan vibe that no other place did. Inside, there were several tables, as well as a lengthy bar offering a large list of cocktails, wines, beers, and even mocktails. But, just beyond this cool dining space, there was a calm oasis of a backyard. The large square space had a bunch of tables, a few couch areas for larger parties, and a bar that even had one television above it, though it thankfully had the sound off. Plus, as an added bonus, there was live music on that Sunday afternoon, which they plan to continue weekly! The acoustic guitar tunes were the perfect backdrop to the peaceful area, and the crowd was truly enjoying every moment. We were seated at the bar, and I decided to try the Let's Meat Margarita, a cocktail I assumed was created at its sister restaurant, Let's Meat, in River Vale. The drink was bright pink, thanks to its inclusion of dragonfruit; the jalapeno-infused Espolon Reposado tequila and black habanero salt rim added a spicy kick that I very much enjoyed. I took a sip of my brother's Fall Back Cider, which was made of Tito's Vodka, apple cider, orange liqueur, lime juice, and apple. Unfortunately, we both found the orange flavor much more present than the apple, which was not what we had anticipated. After taking in some fantastic music and soaking up the atmosphere, we sadly knew that it was time for us to leave for the evening. We had seen so many delectable menu items pass before our eyes, so we decided to take some pizzas home for dinner to other patiently waiting family members. We placed our order with the bartender that was splitting his time between both the inside and the outside bars. It took a while for our takeout to be ready, but the owner, Bob, who was incredibly friendly and constantly checking in on folks, saw that we were curious about our food's whereabouts. He quickly confirmed that our order would be ready momentarily, which it was. We really did like the staff, though we thought that it would be better to have separate indoor and outdoor servers on busy days like that one, just to ensure things continued to flow smoothly. Anyway, when we arrived home, we immediately grabbed slices of The Southern Belle and Fig & Prosciutto pies, both of which totally wowed us! The Southern Belle included mozzarella and goat cheese, as well as white peaches and Calabrian honey. The goat cheese added a slight of funkiness that really paired well with the sweet fruit, and the honey gave it just the right amount of heat. The Fig & Prosciutto pie was even better, in my opinion, with its "sauce" of fig jam and its lean, thinly sliced meat. Some arugula had been thrown on top for good measure, adding color and peppery notes. The crust on both pies was also sheer perfection! It was just thick enough to really give you something to bite into, but still thin enough to not be too chewy. It had been baked to the perfect crunch. We were really impressed with the quality of the pizzas and definitely plan to go back and enjoy them in-person. From the serene and welcoming atmosphere, to the excellent live music and delicious food and beverage program, Vino Amore really delivered! We cannot wait to go back! read more

So so so good! It's a small place. The outside patio is lovely. It's decorated cute and it has a nice little vibe. The staff is friendly and the service was excellent! The pizzetes are like flat breads and they were amazing. The peach and prosciutto app is my absolute favorite! The drinks were great too! Let's talk tiramisu though. Holy crap it's the best! We went in for lunch, it was very quiet but that's to be excepted at midday on a Tuesday. The lovely bartender let us sit at the bar on their cute back patio. For food, we shared the Peaches & Prosciutto which was to die for, everything was so fresh. We also split the Sicilia sandwich with prosciutto, burrata, arugula and fig jam which was amazing too! Very nice addition to Piermont. Been here a few times over the summer. Very nice patio at that back. The sandwiches are great and good value. The salads are small for the price.
