cute local eatery serving italian food. it was super busy and i forgot to make reservation. but they did find seating and accommodated us. food was good my mom liked her fra diavolo seafood pasta. came with lots of seafood. i got the risotto- kinda taste weird with tomato reduction. perhaps a cheese or truffle sauce would have been better. my sister had the salmon which was pretty standard. service was good waitress was busy but never failed to refill water and checked in with us regularly. read more

I've been to Broadway Bistro a couple of times recently and I think the food is excellent. My wife had the pork chops and they give you two big ones and they were beautifully prepared. I had the mix seafood over black ink pasta and they give you enough scallops, shrimp, mussels, and calamari for two people. The quantity is excellent and the flavors are also excellent. We went during their 10th anniversary celebration! The special menu was great with a very nice price! The choices were terrific! They had a rib steak my husband had that was done very well. I picked Broadway Bistro, never having been there, because it was equidistant for us and close friends from Greenwich we hadn't seen in a while. We were warmly greeted upon entering and that warmth continued through our 2+ hours there. Our server appeared promptly to announce specials and take drink orders. It was difficult to decide which of the enticing entrees to choose. My wife's snapper and my halibut were 2 of the best tasting and prepared fish dishes we have had. The Koshare was new to us and a outstanding accompaniment to the fish. We will definitely return. More than worth the 33 minute drive. read more

My wife has a gluten and dairy allergy, this place is awesome! They are very knowledgeable about allergies and caring for their patrons. Kenny at the bar makes our date nights very special and we so very much enjoy coming to Broadway Bistro. We always make reservations to sit at the bar for this reason. The best thing about the Hudson Valley restaurant week is the luxury of trying different restaurants and experimenting with foods that you may not normally eat. So, this past week we wanted to find a place that seemed appropriate for date night and delivered on the food. After checking out other reviews on yelp this place seemed to hit the nail on the head. I was able to make a reservation day of, but only because someone else had canceled so they were able to squeeze us in for 8 PM. I wasn't sure if the hubs was going to take advantage of restaurant week as well but I was interested in the menu. Either way regular menu has PLENTY to offer. Super cute place from the outside... appeared very intimate and the inside lived up. Crisp white table cloths, not too crazy decor. Comfortable and appropriate dinner lighting. We scored a table for two at the front close to the bar and entrance. I was a little hesitant because it was a freezing cold night and I wasn't looking forward to the door opening and closing blowing cold air on us. Thankfully there was really no traffic in or out and when the door did open we didn't feel anything. We started with some crispy rolls while planning out our dinner. Hubby ended up doing the restaurant week and started with muscles followed by the seafood pasta and strawberries and cream for dessert. I ordered Gorgonzola and crispy pancetta ravioli followed by Bronzino and mascarpone cheesecake for dessert. We added on a fried calamari appetizer. Well let's put it this way the fried calamari appetizer was awful. Would never ever order it here again. However everything else was amazing. I wanted to drink the creamy soupy tomato veg broth from the mussels directly out of the bowl, but way too embarrassing to do in public. My three giant raviolis delicious!! The seafood pasta was nice and spicy and everything was cooked well. Not overdone seafood which can happen very easily. Bronzino with the tang of the capers, lentils folded into rice was light and deep all at the same time. I really couldn't finish any dessert after our mains so was planning on them taking home. Somehow after they arrived we managed to squeeze it all in. They were too pretty to not be eaten. I definitely would recommend the cheesecake. The strawberries and cream were a little small but still good. Our server was on top of everything and he seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. Even if he didn't, he definitely faked it but his demeanor helped add to our great evening. I will definitely come here again for a date night or even a night out with friends and explore the menu. Amazing restaurant with n Nyack. We were very impressed with how many of the pastas were made in house. The butternut squash ravioli and bistro salad were wonderful starters. Everyone in my party enjoyed their entrees from the branzino, lemon chicken, halibut, cavatelli. The desserts are also made in house. It's the fall now and I had a delicious pumpkin pie. The food was very good, but I suggest if you order some thing that comes with mashed potatoes you ask for the regular mashed potatoes. Some of us at the table got regular and some of us had greenish gray ones which turned out to be olives mashed in them. Definitely did not like the taste. The food at this restaurant last night was really delicious, but the woman singing was SOOO loud that it ruined my evening. I asked twice for the volume to be turned down. It was still too loud! I could hardly hear our friends across the table. it should have been background music, we weren't going to a concert to listen to her! Smells like a gas station restroom with a lot of artificial smells. Music was very loud ( Andrea Bocelli) Food was mediocre, a lot of pepper on everything and service was poor. Busser kept refilling water glasses that were already filled to the brim but didn't remove dirty plates. We waited 30 minutes for appetizers. Steak was dry, mussels small and weird. Just ate here- pleasantly pleased with the menu and the prices. Ordered the mussels- yum. My daughter loved her pasta and I had the risotto with shrimp for my entree. The risotto was way to lemony. The waitress never asked how we liked our meal and we received more sincere service from the runners. But that's ok, no NBD. The chef came to our table after our meal which was cool and made the quick decision to go here more intimate. It literally warms my heart to think of how nice kind understanding and helpful the staff here was last night. Last night for my birthday, in a rain storm, during COVID my family and I came here to have a last attempt at a bday dinner as most other places are closed. To our surprise we were seated right away and catered to from there on. The food!!!! Omg from the appetizers to dessert they did not disappoint! We had calamari, fresh mozzarella, poach pear salad, pork chops, coconut crusted halibut, Salmon and a wonderful piece of heaven(raspberry cheesecake) and on top of all of the they sang happy birthday to me at the request of my boyfriend of course but with a great big smile on their faces. One of the best Italian meals we've had in the states! What an incredible unexpected find here in the quaint town of Nyack. We headed in on a holiday weekend expecting to wait for a table...didn't happen. We were seated immediately outside on a lovely night, and greeted promptly by our kind waitress and efficient bus boy, who both remained reliable and super sweet our entire meal. It's a very welcoming cozy place. We started with the crispy angel hair spaghetti pancake with rosemary-grilled shrimp smothered with balsamic coconut emulsion, which for me, stole the show. What a unique dish! Crispy fried spaghetti with balsamic and topped with shrimp? Way cool. Even if you personally don't eat the shrimp, the pasta texture with the balsamic is worth ordering alone! A must try, because really, where else would you see this? -Caeser salad -Forest mushroom soup -House-Made Lobster and Fennel Ravioli Crispy pancetta, toasted almonds, Parmesan and touch of cream. -House-Made Potato Gnocchi with Sweet Italian sausage on the side, oven roasted tomato and light pesto cream ....everyone was blown away by everything! The pasta, which is made fresh to order (so bring patience) is incredible. The sauces were all so flavorful and different. (They were so accommodating to our pain in the a** dietary restrictions also!) I recently sent my mom a s cousin here, and they too loved their meal and commented on how great and warm the service was. Okay, we were coming to Nyack for a wedding. It was our first time. We came here based on the yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. We ordered items off the menu and chef John was more than willing to accommodate us. The items on the menu are also delicious! I ordered Alfredo with penne and chicken francaise. My husband Ordered the Caesar salad. Others at our table ordered chicken parmesan, sautéed shrimp and scallops, and the flat iron steak. We all were so amazed how delicious and homemade everything was. They make everything from scratch. The waitress was very sweet and so was the hostess. We did not have a reservation but we came around 5:30. If you are coming after 7, you'll need a reservation. I live very far away but would go on a plane and return to Nyack JUST FOR THIS FOOD! Been here twice recently. Had fish both times. Halibut and red snapper. My friends had grouper and shrimp risotto. The fish is really excellent. Large and thick pieces of fish, and expertly cooked. Could do with a little more imagination on the accompanyments - most just come with rice and steamed veg. Overall I'd recommend this place - hard to find fish this good outside NYC. Couple of grumbles (which is why I gave 4* and not 5*) 1. At peak hours drinks take ages to come out - on an early Saturday evening we were waiting 20 mins at least! 2. We were a table for 4. Even though there is plenty of room around the tables, the waiters bring the food to one end of the table and reach right across the table to serve the plates to the guests at the far end of the table - or expect the guests to hand the plates down the tablle themselves. Similarly when clearing the plates, the waiters reach right across the table, or expect the guests to pass the dirty plates down the table. The waiters should be trained to serve and clear the plates from behind each guest individually. Also they need to remember who ordered what. I don't mind badly trained waiters in a diner, but it's a shame when it happens in a good restaurant - and so easy to fix! read more
