a plate of spaghetti and meat

We live nearby and Dee Maria's has been one of our go to takeout spots for years. The food is great but something typically seems to go wrong with our orders. We usually get the chicken cutlet and eggplant parmesan special. The chicken is topped with the eggplant and it's so good! It comes with a side of pasta, bread, and a salad. One special is plenty to split between two people. The only issue we had is that there was very little sauce on the pasta. Last time we ordered we also had the fried calamari appetizer. And while it's likely frozen, they do a great job seasoning it. Their sauce is also very tasty. We will definitely continue to occasionally take out from Dee Maria's.

Nasty brown lettuce with a bottle of dressing. Want some...ewwww

So I get it you're the only show in town... But come on. Having grown up in VC yet being fortunate to live a great number if other places, all I can say is epic fail. The orders are always wrong and there is no care taken in the food. Other than a random good slice of pizza the rest of the food is sub par and over priced. I will never go back, I do not care if I have to drive thirty minutes I'll go elsewhere. It is sad that a food establishment thinks you can just serve up garbage. Tonight's order was messed up twice, drive back to correct the first mistake to find upon return there was another error. My first grilled chicken Caesar salad was inedible it was DRENCHED in dressing. The second one came with hot chicken cutlet on top rather than grilled chicken. So either way I end up with soggy ten dollar salad. Fail fail fail. Never again.

Very large regular slices!

I've been going to this pizzeria for years now and can confidently say that they're my go to spot for anything and all things pizza in Rockland. It's a family owned business and they make sure the service is no less than stellar. The atmosphere is very cozy and makes you feel right at home. They can definitely seat larger parties with the additional space in the back of the restaurant. Their full pies are a little on the pricey side but they're definitely worth it. I've ordered from other places in the area but nothing beats the taste of Deemaria's. They give you huge quality slices. I look forward to grabbing a slice every time I come home from school. It's a good place to catch up with your friends or even have a casual pizza date.

SALAD SLICE!

Dee Maria's Is my # 1 pizza place to go to here in Rockland county! The selection of specialty slices is amazing Whole Wheat Margarita slice-Crispy and delish San Marzano Slice- TO DIE FOR!!! A MUST GET!! Salad Slice- LIKE NO OTHER topped with spinach & tomato Standard Slice- Perfect balance of crispy crust to cheese & sauce ratio Many more, Just to many to name! Specialty Rolls all A+++ Chicken Marsala Chicken Parmesan Eggplant Parmesan Or anything you request to be made in roll form Entrees are a home run as well, all the pasta dishes are fresh and come out piping hot! Such a variety. If you are in Rockland or just visiting it is worth the trip to Valley Cottage to give them a try!

Eggplant and Mozzerella slice of spectacularness...

Village Pizza - Meatballs

Village Pizza

If you don't wanna read: I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!…read more I originally started looking to try a new pizza spot when I noticed our local pizzerias would reheat whole plain pies they had out all day and sell them to us. Needless to say, they tasted stale! Fast forward to finding Village Pizza. Let's talk about the customer service, just for a second. I'm telling you their customer service cannot be matched. I have not had exceptional customer service from an establishment and/or pizzeria on day one that does not wither at some point down the line. Until I started ordering from Village Pizza. Everyone, and I mean everyone I've met has been nothing short of delightful. Which is refreshing if you've tried other pizzerias. From remembering names to remembering orders. I have personally seen this treatment of every person that walks through their door. And! The time they tell you it's gonna be ready, is the actual time. Now on to the food. The garlic knots are flaky and flavorful. Pizza is delicious with or without toppings. It's a thinner crust. It's tasted fresh every time and this has become a regular spot so I can't tell you how many times I've ordered from them. Quality food every time. Quality service every time. I've said it once. I'll say it again. I'm a sucker for consistency. I recommend this place to anyone who will listen. Go pay them a visit. I promise you won't regret it.

Best slice in Nyack and it's not even close…read more Not trying to be controversial, but when I moved here from Brooklyn in '22 I tried both of the "T" pizza spots and was horrified that these were my options. Greasy, flavorless, a mess of a pie. When Village Pizza changed ownership a few years back I tried a slice, and I never turned back. The Village Pizza slice is on par with any great Brooklyn/NYC spot... Crispy and gooey like a slice should be. The real test? You'll want to eat the whole slice crust and all, no pizza bones left at the end! Those other spots? The crust is pale, doughy, bland. Just because those places have been here longer, or have a more prime location, doesn't mean they're better. In fact, that's probably why they're slacking on their product. No motivation to excell. Village Pizza came out swinging with the best slice in town and they've maintained quality slice after slice after slice. Don't even hesitate, if you're looking for real NYC style pizza forget those other places. Village Pizza is where it's at.

Update! Yup, Pie Man…read moreis still solid. Just came back with some coworkers to grab a pie, and I seriously underestimated a 10". Thought it would be enough, but that's definitely a personal size. My bad, lol. No worries though, we just grabbed another pie with zero regrets. When we got to the restaurant, they whipped up a fresh 16" (legit only $3 more) in just a few minutes. Love to see it. The Salty G.O.A.T. truly is the GOAT. Already planning my next visit to try the Sausage and Spicy Pickled Peppers pie since I've heard it's a fan favorite too. Their beer selection is nice, and the staff is super friendly with good energy all around. I've only ever done takeout (with a drink at the bar), but their outdoor seating looks nice, and there's plenty of room inside too. The whole place feels really welcoming. By the way, don't get it twisted. This isn't just a pizza spot. They also host events with live artists, making it more than just great food. Backed by their delicious menu and cold beers on tap, Pie Man provides the full experience. Definitely worth the visit! Looking forward to many more visits :)

If I could rate this place on the garlic knots alone, it would be five stars -- they're absolute…read moreperfection! The pizza is okay, but those garlic knots more than make up for it. We also really enjoyed the chicken wings, and the kids loved their fries. We celebrated my son's birthday here, and since the weather was nice, we sat out on the patio. We had it mostly to ourselves, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Also, the service is always great here.

Except for the pizza, their food is pretty good…read more For some reason, even when I ask for it well done, their pizza is very flimsy. The bottom has zero rigidity and just flops. I'm not sure why they have trouble making a good pizza but they just do. So if you're looking for good Italian Food, this is the place. If you're looking for good pizza, try elsewhere.

Q -How do you say "friends" in Italian? A- Amici We were driving back from Cape May and could no longer ignore the hunger pangs, so we stopped on Route 59 in Nyack to feed our faces at Amici. Amici has a split personality -the front of the store is a pizzeria with a few booths and a showcase of pizza by the slice. The back of the store is a much fancier nicely decorated white tablecloth restaurant. We split three pizza slices -a cheese, a chicken with broccoli, and a Margherita ( tomatoes, basil, garlic and mozzarella cheese). The slices were quite large and a slice and a half was plenty for lunch. The crust was a little thicker and chewier than what I'm used to. Definitely not "thin style" pizza. Be aware that the chicken isn't grilled, it was a cut up breaded chicken parmigiana cutlet. We also split a nice House salad with 2 kinds of lettuce, sliced tomatoes and cucumber, and green and black olives. It was fresh and big enough to be easily split into 2 portions. Our 3 slices, salad, and a bottle of Snapple ran $25.56. The entrees are priced very reasonably - just abouit everyuthing is under $20 with pasta and a salad
