Giovanni's is a fantastic pizza place. I stopped here on a whim about 2 years ago after bike riding, and have not stopped going since. It is a 10+ min drive for me but worth it. Their white pizza is spot on, Margherita pie is awesome, and the vegetarian pie is filling and fresh as can be. Everything I have had here has been amazing. Just ok. Ordered sausage parm sandwich with extra cheese. They ignored me and had one thin slice of cheese per side. Ignoring a customer request is a good way to loose customers. Sandwich was just ok, a bit dry on cheap mass market bakery bread. Interior decor is less than charming, the one outdoor table is great. read more

Very good! Used them to cater a family event. We had eggplant parm, chicken parm, chicken francaise, and sausage and pepper trays. The eggplant parm, chicken parm and chicken francaise were all very good, the chicken was all uniformly cooked (not too dry, not undercooked) and there was enough sauce to go around. My favorite was the chicken francaise which was REALLY good. I'm not a big meat eater and even I had like 5 pieces. I don't eat sausage and peppers so I can't comment on that, but I heard it was good. There was also a bread tray with nice, soft bread. I didn't try the Greek salad, but I was told the dressing was unusually tasty. The salad was also presented nicely. There was a snafu with the order, but I'm not the person who placed it, so I'm not sure whether a family member didn't want to 'fess up to forgetting to order something or whether it was the restaurants fault, so I'll reserve judgment on that one. Anyway, it was easily fixed and not a major deal. I would definitely use them again. read more

Ordered a large Pie pizza plain. Said it needed twenty minutes. We waited patiently came in to grab our pizza. Pie felt warm took a look everything seemed fine. Got home took the first slice, bit into it noticed something very off. Flipped the slice around to look underneath. The doe hasn't been cooked all the way. Waited 20 minutes for a pie that wasn't cooked. Very upsetting. Called to let them know what had happened someone picked up then hung up. Took out pizza (pie) a couple times shorlty after they opened... First time pizza was OK. Second time pizza was disgusting and had diarrhea that evening. Recently, we decided to take out pizza again since the place started getting busier and seeing people sitting in the dining area.... Pizza tasted terrible!! Not sure why I continued to eat it. Wife had one bite and spit it out. Kids ate a slice. This time my whole family got sick. We will never eat here again. If food does not taste right or smells funny, get rid of it and do not eat it. I've been here many times. This place is hit or miss. If dining in, food is pretty good. Takeout and has been hugely disappointing. I had 3 slices of sausage pizza. Cook used pre-made cheese slices, added topping and heated up. I got home 4 mins later to burnt bottoms, undercooked topping, and slice was cold! 2 stars because it's a local business and the owner is nice. read more

I hate to be the first with an "ehh" review, but really, it wasn't that great and the service was bad. First off, we came in a little early. It was absolutely dead and we decided to sit on the porch. We actually went inside to the counter to order and we both got calzones. First off, they did let me customize my calzone--we both ordered chicken calzones and asked to add more ingredients. When the food came out, it was alright. I like my calzones loaded with mozzarella and ricotta. And the extra ingredients we ordered were inside, but neither of us had any chicken. No one came back outside the rest of the time we were sitting there. So we went inside to pay and asked for separate checks. Which we did not get. They combined them. So we just paid and left. I guess I would try their pizza delivery, but there are so many great places around that I'm thinking I probably won't. read more

I got out of the car to get ice cream next door and the food smelled really good. I suggested to my husband we try it some time. I was very disappointed. The eggplant parm was mushy and tasteless. The pasta was gummy and over cooked. It also did not seem like the cleanest place. If the food had been good the portion was so big I would have been able to get three meals out of it. Their garlic knots are out of this world! The marinara sauce is impeccable, it's definitely not out of a jar. The pizzas are really good and the garlic bread with cheese is a garlic lovers dream. I go here all the time with friends for their garlic knots. One time we ordered 48 garlic knots and my friends could not believe how delicious they were! The loads of garlic and oil on them are so delicious and the sauce that comes with them, oh my god, you're in heaven!!
