DPNB is one of THE TOP RESTAURANTS in Nyack NY. Chefs kiss. Local hidden gem. Deserves a million stars across all media platforms. The dishes that this team puts together in that kitchen are absolutely magical and filled with flavor. I discovered them a few years ago when I had a craving for fresh homemade pasta. The pasta is made fresh daily and also sold by the pound for take home meals. I don't get the pleasure of dining in often because it's always packed when I visit but this time there was a lonely table waiting for me. The restaurant is small and intimate. Casual but perfect for a date night or solo dining. In the summertime they have picnic tables outside to dine at as well. The focaccia bread is made in house daily and is served warm with a drizzle of good olive oil and flakey salt. Don't ever skip out on the bread!! The cucumber salad was inspiring. The cucumbers were served on a bed of hazelnut fava bean hummus??? Excuse me? My mouth is still watering from looking at the photos. It was so fresh and tangy. The pasta dish was warm, filling and cozy. It settled in all the right places and makes you feel warm and fuzzy. The chocolate chip cookies are also a must!! I'm not sure if they use cake flour or something because the cookies are crunchy on the edges but think and chewy once warmed up. They are not skimping on the chocolate inside either! Overall my meal was perfect, I cannot wait to dine here again to taste the love and magic that goes into each dish. This place had been bookmarked on my Yelp for a while and their cacio e pepe spaghetti alla chitarra now lives rent free in my mind. This small and incredible pasta shop serves up delicious home made and hand made pasta dishes that rotate seasonally from their simple yet powerful menu. When you eat a bowl of pasta at DPNB you eat a bowl of love. Not only do they make everything themselves but they also source locally from local farmers and support so many other great local businesses. I love this pasta shop so much and can't wait to be back in Nyack to enjoy another one of their incredible pasta dishes. Be sure to try their piccolo negroni (absolutely incredible!) or if you're feeling something more light go for the not a spritz, you will not regret hehe. We were in the area to go hiking and stumbled upon this amazing pasta place. We stopped by midday and the place was fairly empty, but I imagine it can be hard to get a table at night. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and we opted to sit indoors because the sun was shining on the tables outside. To start off we had focaccia which was soft and moist and paired well with the burrata. We tried the fusifilli pesto pasta and pacheria pasta and both were amazing. Cooked to a perfect Al dente with flavorful sauces. The fusfilli had a nice touch with the crumbled hazelnuts on top. Overall a great meal! Highly recommend it if you are in the area read more

This place is phenomenal!!! Everything we ordered was so delicious!! We started off with the cucumber salad and the burrata. The burrata was SO fresh and paired perfectly with the focaccia!! For our pastas we got the Fusilli with Fennel Sausage and Hazelnut Broccoli Rabe Pesto and the rigatoni. Both were very good and I highly recommend both! The pastas were different but both delicious in their own way. For our entrees, we got the toasted half chicken and the ribs (which was a special). I personally liked the chicken more than the ribs, but the ribs fell off the bone. We were too stuffed for dessert, but we did get some DPNB merch! I have visited many times and had spend money asked for side of cheese for my meal which serves 3 and was told only 1 and never placed in the bag. Asked to speak with a manager to report a health concern a man preparing and serving meals with a long uncovered beard absolutely unsanitary. The macaroni pie with the tomatoes was good. A little crispy for my taste but the menu said beefsteak tomatoes but it comes with cherry tomatoes. The focaccia is really good with the burrata appetizer. Perfect portion. The Negroni is the star of the cocktails. My family and I first discovered DPNB, as part of a Nyack food tour they bought me for my birthday. It was the most memorable of all the food stops on the tour. The cacio e pepe was the best we had ever tasted. That was over 2 years ago, and we have eaten there many times since. Never disappointed! The food is amazing, and we've tried many of the items on the menu. Even though they are known for the pasta dishes, their roasted chicken and potatoes dish is delicious. The appetizer we always order, is the Burrata with their incredible organic focaccia. It's not a large, or fancy restaurant, but it is a true food destination. I should mention the outstanding service, always attentive and courteous. John stands out, as he is very knowledgable about every dish. Wow, this place is so good! We stopped by on our way back to the city for early dinner on a Sunday and had an excellent experience. The space is not too big but they have a nice outdoor seating area. We shared a few dishes between the three of us - seasonal veggie starter, burrata, lumache, tripoline, and roasted chicken. Everything was absolutely delicious! Appetizers we got cucumber salad with fava bean hummus (5/5) and foccacia with burratta. (5/5). Def get this combo!! Refreshing cucumber with a hint of mint and nutty hummus work wonder and you will be scraping your foccaccia bread! Burratta is creamy and fresh! Pasta we got Saffron Tripoline and Whole Wheat Paccheri. Whole wheat paccheri was good but a little bit too al dante. Saffron tripoline was soooooo good. So simple but so perfectly orchestrated with runner beans and a little bits of prosciutto adding saltiness to the dish. Def will order this dish again! Yum! Homemade pasta is hard to find in our area and this place does it extremely well. Small, homey spot serving an awesome menu. Came in hopes, to try their squid ink pasta I saw on Ig but I came on a Sun night and they had sold out. Sad, but gives me more incentive to return which I had planned to do already haha. They have a small beer and wine selection but locally represented. Beer from Industrial Arts (another great local spot) and wine from Grape Dvine (my fav wine store). They are doing all things right and serves them right to be busy on a Sun night an hour from closing time. Cute place to go with friends for pasta and wine. They have outdoor seating, which doubles their seating space when the weather is nice. Staff was nice and friendly but did forget all about my order for about an hour (they thought it had come out already and asked me how everything was before I got my food, lol). Beautiful addition to Nyack. We had a very delicious dinner. My husband enjoyed the sausage with romesco sauce and a side of the cucumber salad. Very fresh and well seasoned. I had the cacio e pepe which was very peppery (and i loved it!) along with some of their homemade foccacia bread, which was PHENOMENAL! Great little pasta joint right on the main street. The food is amazing and the staff is great! The owner/chef is always there. This guy has trained in some of the best restaurants and even refined his skills in Italy for a year. You cant go wrong with any items on the menu. The place is small, but doesn't feel cramped. Such a magical addition to the nyack food scene. So many places come and go in town, which is sad. DPNB has lasting power because the food is spectacular and there is a lot of heart in what they do. The pasta is decadent. In any form you will have the treat of toothsome, homemade pasta. The focaccia is lovely and perfect accompaniment to any main meal or salad. Came in on a Friday night and it was pretty busy, but we grabbed two seats with no problemo. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Decisions, decisions, everything sounds mouth-watering, but we decided for our first round we would have the macaroni pie and a couple pasta dishes to share. Food was brought to us shortly after we sat down and wow, delicious. Everything is so super fresh and homemade, you really feel like you are in your Italian Grandmother's cottage in Italy, even if you aren't Italian and don't have a Grandmother in Italy. What a treat. We have walked by and have seen people eating out doors with tables well spaced out and the staff sanitizing after every meal and thought we would check it out. Even though we aren't pasta fans it was very good! We shared the 1/2 chicken which was excellent. Wife also had the house salad & Hudson Valley Burrata on fresh baked bread which was very tasty. Beyond all of that the service was outstanding. Our masked waitress listened carefully, gave good recommendations, got my wife some bread quickly as she was getting a headache from eating a light brunch. Went here for dinner with a friend. I was craving pasta which is not usual for me. If I am going to pay for pasta at a restaurant it better be some good pasta and not similar to what I can make at home. I have always wanted to try this place because of the reviews. When we arrived we were told there is a half an hr wait which we were fine with. We walked around Nyack and enjoyed the Christmas lights while we waited. The menu is limited. There are only a few options which is fine. I understand when food is freshly made they usually don't give you that many options. I ordered the Spaghetti alla Chitarra. The pasta is indeed fresh here and staff was nice. I took off one star because of the wait time and although the pasta was good it did not live up to the hype. You can definitely taste that the pasta is fresh but if the sauce is underwhelming, it leaves a lot to be desired. I would give this place one more try. Pasta Rosso has a beautifully rendered tomato sauce. You didn't think a tomato and basil sauce can be so special but you'll be surprised. Unfortunately the spaghetti cacio e pepe is too salty, hope it's just a one-off mistake in salting the pasta. That being said, I would come back again to try other dishes. The food is amazing, but today 7/24/2022 we were disappointed by how thin focaccia was sliced and how small the salad was.

This is the best place to eat period. There's nothing around that even comes close. I struggle to come up with even one place that does food as well as DPNB. Every bite is spectacular. Every meal is perfection. Pasta is the greatest food known to man and this is the greatest pasta money can buy. The pasta here is excellent. I have had many items from their specials menu and everything has been good. When I don't want a special, I usually go for the ragu, which is delicious. My daughter likes the cacio e pepe. I am a little disappointed with them lately because it seems like there are fewer items on the menu. They used to have this one pasta made with guanciale that was to die for. Hands down one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. Their Hudson Valley burrata is amazing and the bread is so good. I have not had anything bad here. Why not five stars? It is very expensive. I know they cook with excellent quality ingredients and the chef has some serious cooking credentials, but I just can't afford to routinely "drop" $17 per person (we are a family of three) for a modest portion more than once a month. But guess what, even if it is only once a month, I will keep going back because it is that good. read more
