I never saw her so happy and with no complaints! That says it all. We decided to go with tapas so we could taste little of everything and that was the way to go. Gambas la ajillo, pan con tomate, vieiras, croquetas and pulpo a la plancha. All super delicious! My m-i-l had her whole Main course, in addition to the tapas: mariscos in garlic brandy sauce. And she ate the hole thing. Please know that the servings are generous. At the end, the server, J, amazing and fun, brought as a surprise, a flan with a candle. The whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday! Great experience and from now on, I'll be a regular! Definitely, don't miss this restaurant. You'll love it!

When reading the other low starred reviews it seems that a common denominator is to complain about…read morethe hostess attitude, so I will add mine here. Been greeted poorly sets the tone for the overall experience. No verbal interaction only hand signals, our table was ready and we still waited 5 minutes to be seated while she chatted up people at the bar. I am sure the owners or manager read the reviews so it's clear they do not care, heck traffic was high, place was packed, so who GAF right? The food was below par. The same pimentón was used no mater which of the four small dishes we tasted (they probably buy adobo Goya at the local supermarket). Even the tortilla was bland (equivalent to an Italian restaurant botching their pasta). I am giving this venue 2 stars because our server was really good and the flan was what saved the evening. ¡Si quieren comida vasca de verdad vayan a otro lugar, porque aquí no la sirven!

It's easy enough through OpenTable, but if…read moreyou try booking on a Friday morning for that evening, the good times disappear quickly throughout the day. There's a small parking lot in the rear and a bigger lot across the street, although both can fill up when the restaurant gets busy. This place gets absolutely packed and I think it's simply because the food is good. It's not cheap -- in fact, some prices will make you do a double take (yes, olives for $16). Wine by the glass is steep too. That said, some things feel like a much better value. Our "half" pitcher of sangria basically came in a full-sized pitcher filled more than halfway and tasted great. Plenty for two. A lot of the menu is also easily shareable. We split the beet salad and it was big... enough for a couple. Fresh, flavorful and satisfying. Then we shared the paella Valenciana, another huge portion loaded with fatty chorizo, chicken, shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in flavorful saffron rice. Really balanced ratio of seafood, meat and rice instead of just being a giant pile of filler. Btw -- it gets friggin loud in here. Families with kids, couples, groups of friends, older folks... the whole place was buzzing. Pretty wild atmosphere. It's also very casual for a place serving food at these prices -- servers walking around in jeans, energetic vibe, packed tables everywhere. Service was a little meh. Adequate, but nothing friendly. I'm also not a fan of places where the waiter clears appetizer plates but deliberately leaves the dirty fork sitting on the table for the next course. Bleh. Overall though, the food is legitimately very good. Expect a loud, busy dinner with strong portions, tasty sangria, a specials menu without prices and a 3% credit card fee added at the end.

They also see to it that we get what we want and took their time to explain everything! The food is good and drinks are fantastic, hopefully they lessen the ice. What a Huge Disappointment, Noches! I've been coming to…read moreNoches for years--starting with the Englewood location, then supporting this one since day one when we moved up here. I've been to just about every Noches in Jersey. Sure, sometimes they've fallen short, but I always stayed loyal. This morning I went for takeout and ordered my usual: chorizo, chicharrón, and pan de bono. When I got home and opened the bag, I was honestly shocked. For seven dollars, what I got was basically nothing. The portions were insulting--barely a bite of food--and yet the prices keep climbing higher and higher. I understand costs have gone up, but there's a big difference between fair pricing and blatantly ripping off loyal customers. This was the latter. After all these years of supporting Noches, today felt like a slap in the face. Sadly, you've lost a customer who used to recommend you everywhere. If this is how you treat your regulars now, I can only imagine how first-timers feel.

It's a very casual, cafeteria-style spot with a semi-open kitchen, but don't let the simplicity fool you -- the food is incredible and the staff here is friendly and patient. The highlight of the experience is the small buffet that features a variety of freshly-made Latin cuisine -- including pulled pork, chicken and beef stews, and other traditional Latin entrees and sides. You can build your own plate by selecting one or more entrees and sides - which are priced accordingly. As a 'gringo' who wasn't entirely sure what everything was, I really appreciated them taking the extra time to explain all the different options and give me their honest recommendations. The counterstaff is bilingual and were pretty patient with my elementary school level Spanish vocabulary and grammar. I ended up going with the pulled pork platter with two sides ($7) and it was terrific -- the perfectly seasoned and tender pork, black beans and rice, and macaroni salad were delicious and very filling. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and the portions are very generous for the price. If you're looking for authentic, home-style Latino food in a laid-back setting, this is the spot! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Sazon Latino is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Sazon Latino offers free off-street parking in a small lot behind the restaurant and there's plenty of free on-street parking on Main Street.

Sure I love sushi, but if it tastes fishy, it's bad fish and growing up in Norway on boiled fish and an evil concoction called Lutefisk. I haven't been a big fan of the seafood scene here in the tri-state. This placed changed my mind. The first time here our waitress, Beth made sure we knew what was fresh and popular for the evening. Throw in the fact that the owner Ralph and his mom checked in on us that we were happy with our dinners made this a great over the top local place. Food: For appetizers I had the escargot. It was amazing. Not your standard escargot in a standard scalloped dish with a small dash of garlic and butter, but a bowl consisting of a wonderful broth of escargot, garlic, butter and accompanied with toasted baguette slices. Mains: My wife ordered the "Codfather"consisting of cod, shrimp and scallops. Let's just say I made sure to keep my arms and hands on my side of the table and not attempt to try a sample from her plate with the fear of losing a digit. I ordered the fish and chips. Hey! It's fried, can't go wrong as a non-fish eater going with this route. Nope. Beyond my expectations. My last best fish and chips was at the famous take away at the Borough Market in London. This version? Fresh Cod, well done fries, homemade tartar sauce and coleslaw, just saved me the airfare to the UK. We have all ready been back twice. It is our new fave.
