The Cod Father with side Caesar and Steak Fries
    Greg P.

Jersey Shore quality seafood right here in Park Ridge. The Pier looks like it would right at home in any Jersey Shore town. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Parking can be rather difficult as there aren't many parking spots. We started with the Lobster Bisque which was excellent! Nice and creamy with deep Lobster and Sherry flavors. I wish they had a Lobster bomb option for the Bisque. For our entrees we had the Cod Father and the fish and chips. The Cod Father was broiled Cod, Scallops and Shrimp in a Butter and Garlic sauce with a Ritz cracker crust. It came with a choice of 2 sides, I went with the Caesar salad and the steak fries. The fries are great dipped in the garlic butter. Everything was fresh and delicious. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying more of the menu.

A small but mighty place. All the food is fresh and made on premise. Great lobster roll and a nice assortment of dishes. Has a great take out and a good size dine in area. Chris is super friendly and is on top of everything.

A tiny secret of a restaurant with about 6 tables so make a reservation. Hands down the best coconut shrimp ever. Now that we got that out of the way, the food is excellent. The broiled cod father will make your mouth sing with a delicious butter sauce and ritz cracker topping. The service is laidback but very quick. It's a byob so grab your friends, a bottle of wine and make a reservation.

So from the outside it doesn't seem like much, definitely a low key vibe which reminds you of a beach shack, not fancy, but the best seafood! We decided to go there for a birthday luncheon, it's BYOB which is perfect us! The food is phenomenal, the clam chowder and lobster bisque is absolutely delicious! My gf is from Maine and she loved the chowder! The lobster roll (warm with butter) was so tasty! My other gf said their fish and chips are the best around! The service is very friendly and accommodating! The lemon cake and chocolate mousse cake were so good and not too sweet! Also I ordered dinner to go and it did not disappoint even after reheating! Definitely give this place a try, you will enjoy it!

Love this place. They have the freshest fish. They give you great portions for what they charge. All their dishes are made fresh. Prices are very reasonable and all the dishes are made from love. Owner is great and comes to greet you. Plenty of parking in front.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while! We ordered take in. When we arrived the food was ready and everyone who worked there was very friendly. The scallops wrapped in bacon were delicious and so tender. I had the lobster and pasta which was outstanding. Large pieces of lobster. Can't wait to try more things on the menu.

5 STARS ALL THE F*CKING WAY. Thank you, Ralph, for running a local business that provides a memorable dining experience for seafood lovers! I'm not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best meals I've had. The Pier is a casual family-owned restaurant serving only the freshest seafood. They only have five tables for dine-in, so it's more of a take-out place. If you would like to eat in, you can always call for a reservation and they're happy to accommodate. We called for a table around 4pm on a Sunday. There's plenty of parking available on site. The interior is super cute and filled with beach and ocean-themed decorations. If you're a seafood lover, this is heaven for you. They have tons of variety on their menu- lobster, crab, octopus, calamari, mussels, clams, oysters, shrimp, salmon, cod, etc. I only saw a few non-seafood options, such as their house burger, ribs, and strip steak. We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops (4 for $13) and 2 lobster rolls (warm with butter aka Connecticut style) for $25 each. You get to choose a side with the roll, so I went with the sweet potato fries. It does take awhile to get your food but that's because they make every single dish FRESH!!! So many restaurants nowadays don't care anymore and just hand you reheated, low quality food. That's not the case here. The bacon wrapped scallops with sweet chili soy sauce... OH MY GOODNESS!!! The flavor profile was out of this world- salty, juicy, tangy, sweet, buttery and spicy all at the same time. The scallops were seared perfectly and were so tender. The bacon wasn't too crispy or fatty either and its smokiness paired well with the scallops. Now for the big prize... the lobster rolls!!!! This is the best lobster roll I've ever had. They did not skimp out on the portions. The lobster pieces were big, juicy, and full of flavor. The butter sauce and fresh lemon were just the cherry on top to enhance the flavor. The bun was fluffy and well toasted with butter. SOOO GOOD. The sweet potato fries were crispy and well seasoned. It was a meal I wish I could savor forever. The service was amazing from start to finish. Our server was super friendly and Ralph, the owner, was a pleasure to speak with. He checked in on us and asked us how we liked the food. He truly cares about customers' dining experience and serving food cooked with love. He's been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years, so this man really knows what he's doing! I will be a returning customer again and again and again. Please come by and try The Pier in Park Ridge!

Heard about this place from a friend and I'm very glad he told me. Everything was fresh and delicious. Big portion of lobster Alfredo. Lobster roll also had generous amount of lobster. Crabcakes were all crab no breading. Staff was friendly as can be. Like Arnold said " I'll be back"

Service is subpar as a result because the staff is all downstairs with 1 server whose experience you could tell was very green. I had to go downstairs and flag down a runner for our waitress to come take our order. The beet salad is always a great go-to although the Cesar salad was over dressed. My daughter ordered the filet which was delicious. I ordered the linguine vongole which was sooo bland even after I added the Parmesan and salt. Zero depth of flavor in the sauce and it was separating even as it was placed on the table. My husband ordered the special: halibut with haricot vert and both were overcooked. The haricot vert were so soggy, they were completely inedible. It was as if they were steamed and they placed in a pan of oil. Having been here before, the desserts are lacking so we decided to skip as we had a family with a very young infant who cried almost the entire time we were there. Well the server lost our credit card at some point from the table to the register! We used another card and had to cancel that card. Barely an apology from management and no follow up! I won't be coming back but just because the one day where everything went to hell, but also because this is my 4th time eating here in 4 months with various friends and they still don't recognize/acknowledge repeated customers.

This past weekend, we had a chance to experience something a little different -- a private event my cousin hosted there for his 30th birthday -- and it was fantastic. The event was a seated, sit-down dinner at the market, which isn't something they typically do, but they executed it really well. The evening started with passed appetizers (all delicious, as expected) and a table full of charcuterie. For dinner, my cousin opted for a seated "steak sampling" experience -- almost Brazilian steakhouse-style -- featuring tastings of five different cuts. There was also shrimp scampi served family-style, along with sides like roasted potatoes. Even with varying preferences for steak doneness across the group, they did an impressive job accommodating everyone. Huge props to the B&M team for pulling off something outside their usual offerings so seamlessly. This was my first time in the market itself, and it looked great -- clearly a great destination for quality meats and prepared foods. If I lived closer, I'd absolutely be a regular and would use them for catering for myself. Looking forward to more events with their food in the future!

Exceptional Catering for Our Dinner!…read more I recently used B&M Market in Park Ridge to cater a Dinner for 10, and I can confidently say they overdelivered on every level. From the ordering process to the presentation to the flavors, everything was absolutely top-notch. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the owner, Jon, who was phenomenal to work with from start to finish. Jon took the time to help me build out the perfect menu, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. His responsiveness and attention to detail really set B&M apart, you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in the food his team puts out. We kicked off the night with a fantastic spread of hors d'oeuvres. The sushi platter was fresh and beautifully presented, and the homemade guacamole with warm, crispy tortilla chips was a standout. The apple smoked bacon in honey chipotle sauce disappeared almost instantly; smoky, sweet, and addictive. The spinach & artichoke puffs were flaky and flavorful, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp tasted like something you'd get at a high-end restaurant. For entrees, everything arrived well-seasoned, and perfectly portioned along with serving/heating instructions. The Bell & Evans chicken parmesan in vodka sauce was a crowd favorite, tender, not overly breaded, and the sauce was rich without being heavy. The prime all-natural skirt steak with scallion sauce was the star. Cooked beautifully and packed with flavor. The pasta dishes, 4-cheese baked ziti and the orecchiette with Italian sausage, spinach, and light red sauce, were both excellent and tasted homemade. The Caesar salad, steamed string beans, and cheesy garlic bread rounded out the meal perfectly. Dessert was a refreshing fresh fruit salad, which was a great balance after the hearty main courses. What impressed me most was the consistency. Every single item was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Combined with Jon's personal involvement and guidance, the experience was exceptional from beginning to end. If you're hosting an event of any size, B&M Market should be at the top of your list. They helped make our dinner a hit, and I'll absolutely be using them again.
