Cooked, shelled Maine lobster meat. $60/lb
    Mike E.

I've shopped here a couple times. What's most amazing, easily noticed when entering is the abundance of seafood on display...and completely pleasant smell. It's a beautiful sweet smell common with fresh seafood and reminds me of the Rialto fish market in Venice. Lots of selections here, all fresh and prices do vary. Most items will cost more than your local supermarket, but they have some unique products, plus you're also paying for quality. During my last visit, I bought 1.5 pounds of cooked, shelled lobster meat. It was just packed that morning. The meat was used to make simple lobster rolls. I toast the buns and brush with garlic butter, then add the lobster meat after warming in melted butter. There's no mayo or other veggies so you can really taste the lobster. This lobster was fresh and delicious! My whole family loved it. At $60/lb, it's also a good price considering the current cost of Maine lobsters. I also bought some clams, which were priced fairly. They have top necks and little necks. Out of the dozen I bought, only 1 was foul and tossed. I open them raw and could immediately smell this one. Note, that shouldn't be held against the vendor as you sometimes can't tell from the outside of a clam. Something that bugs me a bit is the little sign on the register that says they're going to charge an extra 3% to cover credit/debit fees. I didn't even think there is a fee with debit cards, but perhaps they just want cash. Either way, my preference is for a business to just raise their prices by 3% and not surprise me with that sign upon checkout. I'm fine spending $100 on your products, but seeing a little sign like that is a turnoff.

Perfect local seafood mart! I'm not on a first name basis yet, but hopefully soon. I came in for seasonal soft shell crab after a friend recommended to come here. They cleaned and gutted them for me, and they cooked up nicely. They also have local eggs fresh once a week or so, for only 2.99$! I get mine from other places for double that price. I'm excited to try those next, and I'm looking forward to some clams! Staff was helpful and seemed to know the locals well which is a good sign for me. Parking was easy, store was clean, and no weird odors either. Very fresh looking seafood, live lobsters, frozen foods, and some dairy items. I would have liked to see more variety, but it's not a large markets so.

Truly fresh fish seems hard to come by these days, that's why I choose Anchor Seafood. The store is clean and the fish is fresh as it gets. I know they go directly to the famous NYC market ( which used to be Fulton Street but moved to Hunts Point). They do what it takes to deliver top shelf fish. In fact, my girlfriend didn't even like Fish until I convinced to try some grey sole from Anchor. Now it's become our Friday night tradition. See attached pic which is all that's left from Our tried and true recipe: Anchor Seafood Grey Sole Olive oil Bread Crumbs Garlic Lemon Zest And dollops of homemade pesto. Time for dessert.

I ordered 4 lbs of shrimp at 16 bucks per pound and when I got them home I weighed it and it weighed it at 2.12 pounds with containers. I went back and they said you never get the weight you order you get the the amount of shrimp per pound. I would accept that theory if the shrimp that I was given weren't small. Point is I was ripped off for 2 lbs of shrimp. This has never happened to me at any other seafood store. I will never go there again. Ps I did curse the arrogant guy out and to that I take responsibility.

Thanks for the great seafood and cooking instructions to make this amazing July 4th seafood boil. Every thing came out perfect. Will be back again to make this again. The snow crab and shrimp were a big hit.

Two clusters of broiled snow crab legs

Anchor had the freshest biggest snow crabs legs up here as compared to the local supermarkets . I have never experienced rude behavior by the staff..I know what I want , get it pay for it and leave. Now the price per pound is 9.99 I think that is pricy. There are not too many places in Pascack valley for fish and the quality crab legs anchor provides. I bought about 72 dollars worth of legs , that is 9 clusters of large beautiful crab legs. I broiled them , let them thaw . After thawing and cleaning . Melt butter drench them and sprinkle seasoned bread crumbs . Broiled them for 15 minutes . I served them with boiled baby potatoes. Attached is pictures of what you can do with the quality legs you gets at anchor.. Btw everyone loved this quick simple fish..

Sure I love sushi, but if it tastes fishy, it's bad fish and growing up in Norway on boiled fish and an evil concoction called Lutefisk. I haven't been a big fan of the seafood scene here in the tri-state. This placed changed my mind. The first time here our waitress, Beth made sure we knew what was fresh and popular for the evening. Throw in the fact that the owner Ralph and his mom checked in on us that we were happy with our dinners made this a great over the top local place. Food: For appetizers I had the escargot. It was amazing. Not your standard escargot in a standard scalloped dish with a small dash of garlic and butter, but a bowl consisting of a wonderful broth of escargot, garlic, butter and accompanied with toasted baguette slices. Mains: My wife ordered the "Codfather"consisting of cod, shrimp and scallops. Let's just say I made sure to keep my arms and hands on my side of the table and not attempt to try a sample from her plate with the fear of losing a digit. I ordered the fish and chips. Hey! It's fried, can't go wrong as a non-fish eater going with this route. Nope. Beyond my expectations. My last best fish and chips was at the famous take away at the Borough Market in London. This version? Fresh Cod, well done fries, homemade tartar sauce and coleslaw, just saved me the airfare to the UK. We have all ready been back twice. It is our new fave.

This past weekend, we had a chance to experience something a little different -- a private event my cousin hosted there for his 30th birthday -- and it was fantastic. The event was a seated, sit-down dinner at the market, which isn't something they typically do, but they executed it really well. The evening started with passed appetizers (all delicious, as expected) and a table full of charcuterie. For dinner, my cousin opted for a seated "steak sampling" experience -- almost Brazilian steakhouse-style -- featuring tastings of five different cuts. There was also shrimp scampi served family-style, along with sides like roasted potatoes. Even with varying preferences for steak doneness across the group, they did an impressive job accommodating everyone. Huge props to the B&M team for pulling off something outside their usual offerings so seamlessly. This was my first time in the market itself, and it looked great -- clearly a great destination for quality meats and prepared foods. If I lived closer, I'd absolutely be a regular and would use them for catering for myself. Looking forward to more events with their food in the future!

Exceptional Catering for Our Dinner!…read more I recently used B&M Market in Park Ridge to cater a Dinner for 10, and I can confidently say they overdelivered on every level. From the ordering process to the presentation to the flavors, everything was absolutely top-notch. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the owner, Jon, who was phenomenal to work with from start to finish. Jon took the time to help me build out the perfect menu, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. His responsiveness and attention to detail really set B&M apart, you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in the food his team puts out. We kicked off the night with a fantastic spread of hors d'oeuvres. The sushi platter was fresh and beautifully presented, and the homemade guacamole with warm, crispy tortilla chips was a standout. The apple smoked bacon in honey chipotle sauce disappeared almost instantly; smoky, sweet, and addictive. The spinach & artichoke puffs were flaky and flavorful, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp tasted like something you'd get at a high-end restaurant. For entrees, everything arrived well-seasoned, and perfectly portioned along with serving/heating instructions. The Bell & Evans chicken parmesan in vodka sauce was a crowd favorite, tender, not overly breaded, and the sauce was rich without being heavy. The prime all-natural skirt steak with scallion sauce was the star. Cooked beautifully and packed with flavor. The pasta dishes, 4-cheese baked ziti and the orecchiette with Italian sausage, spinach, and light red sauce, were both excellent and tasted homemade. The Caesar salad, steamed string beans, and cheesy garlic bread rounded out the meal perfectly. Dessert was a refreshing fresh fruit salad, which was a great balance after the hearty main courses. What impressed me most was the consistency. Every single item was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Combined with Jon's personal involvement and guidance, the experience was exceptional from beginning to end. If you're hosting an event of any size, B&M Market should be at the top of your list. They helped make our dinner a hit, and I'll absolutely be using them again.
