Rivaling Poke works and I think this is really great competition for the area. Sometimes you get poke and while you think you've crafted excellence, the flavors sometimes don't pop. Not the case with poke zone. I created a three protein masterpiece and I was very impressed by the overall flavor and size of the bowl & sashimi! I forgot to add avocado so I added it myself. My wife agreed that this was very good so two thumbs up.

Calamari with spicy sauce

We order from here frequently. They have something for everyone. We like the sushi, the ramen with pork belly, poke bowls, pork gyoza and calamari. The bubble tea is also pretty good. Prices are reasonable, delivery is generally pretty quick an the quality is good.

Just Unimpressed. My biggest thumbs down is that the spicy salmon is ground up and mushy like it is usually prepared for sushi, even for poke bowls. I couldnt really tell the quality of the fish, and it made it hard to get multiple flavors per bite since it was either all fish or all rice since it didnt mix well. The vegetables were fresh, and the scoops of crunchy toppings were generous. The soict mayo was jot very flavorful.

This is my favorite poke place in the area. I come here about three maybe four times a month. I highly recommend Poke Zone. I always create my bowl with three proteins and a blossom salmon.

Poke bowl and sushi

Yum yum yum!! Absolutely amazing poke bowls. Love how your base doesn't have to be rice. For a lighter lunch, I chose to get mixed greens as my base. However, I craved and ordered a sushi roll on the side too. Totally worth it though Very fresh fruits and veggies for your toppings. The crew that works here is amazing! They made delicious recommendations that made my poke bowl filling, nutritious, and tasty! This location is also on delivery apps, but the vibe inside the resturant is definitely one you don't want to miss !

To go sushi order. So good

My absolute favorite sushi place in NJ. You can build your roll exactly as you want it from the wrap type, rice inside or outside, the toppings, what you want inside, sauce... you name it! You can literally customize it exactly as you like sushi and the fish will be incredibly fresh and delicious. All for $15. You can't beat that. If you're still unhappy, then maybe you are picky lol Oh and did I mention they have bubble tea? What more can you want?? They have solid appetizers and main dishes too. Very friendly people. A winner in all sense!

Shrimp tempura app, $8

Overall an excellent experience. Everything was really tasty! I made my own 3 protein poke bowl with tuna, salmon, and spicy crab, mango, avocado, fried onions, bonito flakes, poke sauce, rice, and seaweed salad. Was surprised when the waitress told us about the extra special roll you get with a purchase over $30. It wasn't a full roll, probably a half roll (appetizer size) we got the volcano roll. The full sized rolls we got were fairy tail and star river. All yummy and fresh. The mango was perfectly sweet, sometimes sushi places serve unripe mango. My only gripe would be the shrimp tempura app only had 2 pieces of shrimp and some fried sweet potato and onion slices for $8 - would expect more shrimp for 8 bucks. They were tasty though. Service was fast and attentive, restaurant clean and bright. It was not very busy on the Monday of Memorial Day at dinnertime. They say they deliver to some areas. Too bad the website says they don't deliver to my town even though it's the next town over...very few good places deliver around here! Would eat here again.

My family and I have been obsessed with Poke Zone for years! This spot is great for both dine in and takeout, and has never let me down. I usually build my own Poke Bowl, where you have the option of picking 2 or 3 proteins (not a big price difference between the two). The poke tastes super fresh and all the ingredients are fantastic. I also love their milk teas - especially the Taro and Almond Milk. Delicious and reliable!

This place was good. Not great but good. I ordered the build your own poke bowl and the spicy miso ramen. Poke bowl- i ordered spicy tuna, yellow tail, over sushi rice. I feel like the fish pieces were too small. So small it was like mushy and it made the texture weird. I expected cubes of fish which it how it is traditionally. The ingredients were super fresh though. I chose the poke sauce and the entire bowl was super saturated. To the point where my rice was swimming. Spicy miso ramen- the stock was good. I was not a fan of the noodles as they tasted almost plasticky to me. That pork belly on top was really good. I feel like the stock needed a bit more seasoning to compensate for the lack of on the toppings that came in the ramen.

Poke Zone NEVER fails me. The food always tastes so fresh and I appreciate the variety of protein options. This right here is a build your own bowl with shrimp and spicy crab meat with edamame and mango and pineapple. And what's a poke bowl without some sushi rice?? Absolutely fab. Must try

I've never been IN their restaurant but I've always ordered via GrubHub to my job and the food is amazing! I either get my miso ramen with tofu on it, or the build your own 2 protein poke bowl and double up on the yellowfin tuna. Highly recommend!

Create your own sushi roll. Salon avocado cucumber cream cheese. All deep fried.

Love the Ocean bowl. However, the size of the Poke bowls have shrunk dramatically but the prices remained the same. What's up with that?!

In fact, if they were open now I might grab some breakfast. They are located outside of the main downtown in the plaza with Greenway. That's a good thing as downtown can be a logistical nightmare to park and grab a quick bite. Menya has a small, comfortable seating area. The menu is simple with a few delicious broth bases and a wider variety of noodle, protein or veggie ingredients. For lunch, I tried the shoyu ramen with a soft boiled egg and side of spicy oil. The broth was light and flavorful. The chashu was very tender and seared nicely. The shoyu came with straight noodles instead of wavy, but it was still good. The bowl had menma, as well as red and green onions. I enjoyed the bowl so much, we went back for dinner the same day. For dinner, I tried the shio ramen, which was basically the same thing, but with a sea salt tare instead of soy sauce. I also got wavy noodles this time and I definitely prefer the wavy noodles. Once again, it came with red and green onion, which i think is a bit overpowering. I would get just green onion next time. The family/couple sets seem to be a great deal. I would definitely return.

No frills, simple menu and the chef seemed exacting and totally focused on his craft. I ordered the original shoyu ramen with chasu and red spicy sauce, while wife had the Wafu Shoyu ramen with chicken. Mine was robust and had a clean taste, although I felt the broth was a bit light for my taste compared to some NYC joints. Wife's ramen had even more watery broth - I think because she ordered the "wafu" broth style which menu claimed had no meat, and together with lean chicken meat without much fat, we both agreed it was tad bit boring. I think it's a matter of chef's philosophy and not necessarily a bad thing, but I preferred a bit richer, more viscous broth than this one. We would stop by again if we're in the area, but won't go out of our way for it either. Still, a welcome addition to the East Bergen County area!

Speaking of the food, let's get into it. Mango Avocado Roll: Refreshing and Delicious. This was a great appetizer to my poke bowl. Oasis Poke Bowl: This was deliciously refreshing as well, however it doesn't come with any sauce. I asked for a side of teriyaki which made everything better; elevated the entire bowl. Surf N Turf: I will order this moving forward as my go-to roll. The beef was cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with the salmon. This roll itself filled me up, I thought I was going to order something else but I was done after that. Salmon and Shrimp Teriyaki: My partner gets this each time and I am always so excited to throw my fork into his plate. The teriyaki sauce here is so tasty, I want to put it on everything! The salmon and shrimp are also cooked super well, no chewiness here. Great amount of crisp on the salmon, the way it slides onto the fork is beautiful to watch. Vegetable Gyoza: The star of the show!! Best appetizer they have truly. I was so sad when there was no more. But thankful to have been able to experience such a great starter. Sweet Potato Roll: (Not pictured) The roll was ok, I liked it but felt like it was missing something. Maybe I would have liked it if it was Korean sweet potatoes. I won't order again because the menu is so extensive I can't limit myself to something I thought was ok. (4/5) Overall, Shokudo is a fantastic place to eat. It's truly an experience. The music is amazing and not overbearing, the ambiance is beautiful and there's multiple conversation pieces. What I love about looking at the items in the restaurant is how they go from traditional to contemporary. The servers were the sweetest, they all were extremely hospitable. Not wanting to argue, I just said "OK," but I definitely wasn't happy. I also ordered the chicken teriyaki, which was rubbery and didn't taste like any teriyaki I'm used to. Our appetizer never came, and when we asked about it, all the waiter could do was apologize. At that point, that was all they could offer.

Not only is the food awesome - I ordered a ramen, plain hot dog, and halo-halo shaved ice (addictively good) - but bonus stars to the staff who were sooo sweet! The Hawaiian style shaved ice and home-made ice cream are top notch. The ice cream is rich and delicious, with some unique flavors, and the shaved ice is very fine - fluffy and evenly slushy in texture and sweetness, unlike the inferior versions where you run into bland chips of ice. The toppings are yum too. The ramen noodles are springy, settled in a savory light broth. For a non-prestige grade ramen, I have no complaints. I also want to acknowledge the lovely hospitality. My child was in a tantrum-y mood and went to sulk by himself in a corner. Seeing the pouty little grump in a small fit, the girls at the counter coaxed him over with ice cream and stickers, which he of course eagerly accepted, pleased by the attention and confection, and was soon back to his endearing self.
