Worse one we have tried on ubereats so far. Ugh.
Olive H.

I dont know about how others feel. But when you see a lot of things covering your sushi. I assure you that sushi or whatever roll it's called. Is not FRESH!! Worse place ever, consider we already tried to avoid ordering any rolls containing raw fish. Also, that so called yakisoba, is such a waste of money. No flavor, countable dry beef inside. We wont be ordering again.

Unadon entree - delicious

I have to up the ante & give it that five star review. They are dependable, consistent, and I think the quality has only improved over these last few months. (Or maybe I'm dining out much less, which is also true.) Regardless, I am always pleased with my order, favorites include: Sashimi bento box, sashimi deluxe, ikura, seaweed salad, sashimi platter for two. Definitely worth a try if your craving that fresh fish!

Got takeout from here and overall I thought the food was below average. I ordered a couple of sushi rolls, a mixed tempura appetizer, a kani salad, a tatsuta age, an agedashi tofu, and a beef teriyaki bento box. My biggest problem with the food was that none of the items tasted very fresh or authentic. I'm a huge fan of Japanese food and have traveled to Japan and eaten at some of the best Japanese restaurants in NJ/NY. So I have particularly discerning taste buds when it comes to Japanese food. Also, I gave specific instructions to cook the beef to a medium and it came well done.

Long overdue post for our favorite sushi spot. This is our go to local sushi place. Sushi is always fresh. We normally get the following rolls ordered on the picture below. Highly recommend with very reasonable prices.

Angel Roll
Nakiesha M.

I ordered here for the first time because I was craving sushi, I ordered the California salad and the angel roll. For starters the salad was a nice cute presentation and I apologize I should've taken a picture before hand but I was really hungry. AnyWho the salad itself was delicious it was lettuce with shredded crab and avocados, they give you this bright orange salad dressing the only downside to the sauce is I'm used to Japanese restaurants giving you a ginger salad dressing and the dressing they gave really lacked flavor. Onto the Angel Roll, you get six rolls. Cute presentation however the flavor was severely lacking for me, honestly when I dipped the roll in soy sauce it tasted much better. I will try this place out one more time, next time I'll order something different, I don't want to give up on this place just yet.

Ordered take out for dinner because we were craving sashimi and sushi. We said "no tuna" and they were very accommodating with that request, and added more salmon. A bit pricey but super yummy

Fantastic spot for rolls and appetizers! Sushi is always fresh! My very picky daughter devoured a California roll while my young son threw down a shrimp tempura roll. Excellent taste for a decent price.

I ate here on a whim and it was decently good! I came not expecting anything but I would go back, mainly because I liked their rolls. My favorite was the Manhattan roll which had great flavors. The sushi was also fresh. My only disappointment, in terms of food, was the sushi rolls weren't rolled tight enough so when I picked them up they fell apart. I basically had to eat my rolls like a chirashi. Otherwise, I really did love the freshness and the flavor a lot. I ordered another roll too that was also fresh but wasn't as memorable in terms of flavor. Service wise, it was ok. I came at a slow period where no one was there. I opted to sit at the bar. The chef was good about getting my order and serving me quickly but getting my drinks from a wait staff member seemed to take longer. Also, everyone seemed to be watching videos on their phone or texting which didn't make such a great impression. I'll have to come again and sit at a table to see how the service differs. The ambiance is small and cramp. Nothing to write home about. The real reason to come here is to try their fresh sushi, which is hard to come by in the New Milford/Bergenfield area. I wouldn't come very out of my way to come here though.

2. Angry Dragon Roll (sub salmon)

The workers here 100% know me by now because when I first tried this place a couple weeks ago, I order the SAME EXACT THINGS on DoorDash. It's phenomenal every single time. First off, due to covid, the place is takeout only. Not pictured below, they don't even allow you to set foot inside and actually have a barrier at the front door so that whenever your order is ready, someone will come to you and give you your order through the screen. With sushi being the way it is, it typically takes forever to have it prepared, but for some reason, this place only takes 15 minutes max to prepare my large order (yes it's all for me). I've had little customer service interaction, but when I do, it's always nice and succinct. In regard to what I order, I'm a salmon lover, so everything I order has salmon in it. The Dancing Salmon is probably my favorite thing here. It's just salmon with avocado, I'm pretty sure lobster, and spicy mayo. There's definitely more, but it's an amazing dish and probably my favorite thing here. The Fantasy Roll has tempura salmon, avocado, and spicy mayo. Not many places have tempura salmon, so I love there's. The last one I always order is the Angry Dragon Roll, which is one of their specialties. It has shrimp tempura, avocado, king crab, nori (seaweed), eel sauce, grape oil sauce, and salmon. It's supposed to have tuna, but tuna is one of the few foods I don't like, so I sub it out for salmon and they always accommodate it. Since finding out about it, I've ordered from there 5 times and I will continue to do so. It's right around the corner from where I live, so it's nice to support a local spot. However, this has been here for longer than I can remember and with not many places staying open that long on Washington Ave, the fact that this place has stood the test of time shows how awesome it is. Thank you everyone that works there and you'll definitely get another order from me in the upcoming days.

Still love the lunch special! Bento boxes are so delicious and affordable and staff is very good. I love the atmosphere.

The only issue was that it's a little awkward being the only table in the restaurant and sitting at the sushi bar... Cause we had like eight people attending us and looking at us and listening to our every word. But you can look at it in another way and assume it felt like more of a private dining experience, which is cool. Because it was our first time there, we didn't wanna opt for the Omakase because my husband and I have had mediocre Omakase experiences and they don't come cheap. And something we didn't realize that this place does, that many other Omakase places don't do, is make their sauces in house to pair with the fish. A lot of omakase spots locally don't care to make a budget for sauces when they can get it ready made. A huge unique selling point of this place was at each sauce was separately made and stored in different containers to pair with the fish it was intended for... And when the chef had mentioned that a lot of Omakase places don't do this, It made a lot of sense. We ordered the Hamachi Jalapeño, tuna Crispy rice, tuna 5 ways, single nigiri pieces of sea bream and mackerel on my side and my husband ordered more basic pieces which I can't recall. We also Ordered the Hokkaido scallop cucumber roll. As soon as we tried the apps, we regretted not doing the omakase just because we knew it was gonna be that good. For Context, I haven't found any place in New Jersey that felt like a go to sushi spot that had high-quality fish, incredible pairings and seemingly consistent. The Hamachi jalapeño were bigger cuts of tuna with like this jalapeño paste sauce. It was amazing and proper spicy. No addtl sauce needed. The crispy rice tuna was insane. The hot rice paired with the cold tuna and their fixings were amazing. It didn't look like much, but it packed a huge punch of flavor. I think it might be the wasabi they use But both the wasabi and soy sauce were insanely good The tuna way of our little attempt at omakase ish. They gave you four pieces of Nigiri ( 2 being fatty tuna pieces) And a chopped tuna hand roll. I'm a texture person so I wasn't a fan of the hand, but each piece of tuna was better than the next. The fatty ones were insanely melty and lovely And I just really goes to show that I don't think I've had good high quality, fresh sushi or fish from many places Because no place matched up to this. I had ordered a piece of sea bream which was insanely good. I've never tried anything like that before and if I could, I would order 20 of those alone. The mackerel was really good and not fishy at all as well. The Hokkaido scallop Cucumber roll was very simple, but packed a huge bunch of flavor when you dipped it in the spicy sauce that it was paired with alongside a soy sauce wasabi combo. You could taste the quality and freshness. I was drinking a glass of sparkling wine... The wine was fine before I had the sushi... But drinking a sip while eating my sushi totally changed my palette as the sparkling wine paired so well that it became sweet. Last, but not least the miso cheesecake - Absolutely incredible and made in house. We ordered two more to go And they thought we were joking. That's how good it was. I don't miss New York City when I have sushi from places like this.

Their menu offers your Japanese classics - regular sushi rolls, special sushi rolls, sashimi, bento boxes, udon, salads, soups, tempura, etc. I highly recommend their lunch and dinner specials - it's the best bang for your buck! Everything is reasonably priced and you'll get your money's worth. The full menu is available on their website. You have to call to place your order and then pick it up. You pay once you're there. I don't think they use third-party services anymore like Uber or DoorDash. I've been ordering their lunch special (3 rolls for ~$16 with complimentary soup or salad) and I'm always satisfied. My food takes around 15-20 minutes to be ready, which is very reasonable. I haven't had any issues with the service here. They are efficient, pleasant, and always get my order right. My favorite rolls are the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and eel & avocado. The fish to rice ratio is perfect. They pack your rolls with a huge portion of fish. The rice is well seasoned with vinegar, sugar, and salt. The tuna and salmon are incredibly fresh and they're actually spicy!!! They even include a few complimentary pieces of deep fried California rolls. This is one of my go-to spots for a satisfying and filling sushi meal. And you cannot beat the price and value!

No frills, simple menu and the chef seemed exacting and totally focused on his craft. I ordered the original shoyu ramen with chasu and red spicy sauce, while wife had the Wafu Shoyu ramen with chicken. Mine was robust and had a clean taste, although I felt the broth was a bit light for my taste compared to some NYC joints. Wife's ramen had even more watery broth - I think because she ordered the "wafu" broth style which menu claimed had no meat, and together with lean chicken meat without much fat, we both agreed it was tad bit boring. I think it's a matter of chef's philosophy and not necessarily a bad thing, but I preferred a bit richer, more viscous broth than this one. We would stop by again if we're in the area, but won't go out of our way for it either. Still, a welcome addition to the East Bergen County area!

The times a restaurant rises above the rest, is consistently delicious, arrives dependably on time, and does both the simple and harder things right, there is reason to celebrate. Enter Great Wall in Dumont. We have eaten our way through Chinese Take-Out in all surrounding towns who deliver to Bergenfield. Some good, some meh, some definitely on repeat. As usual, we started with basics and worked into more specialty dishes the more comfortable we got. As far as appies, Great Wall got it going on. The usual offerings are good, hot, crispy and their housemade items are delish. One thing we ordered on Saturday we never had is "buffalo wings". Yes, their plain fried wings are good. But holy holy. We didn't expect a flavor explosion as we got with the buffalo wings. First, they aren't at all what you expect. These were their excellent fried wings with a sweet, lightly spicy, crunchy soy ginger thing going on that had us spooning that sauce over everything we could. I am not going into everything we have eaten in the past year. Do some dishes show up sometimes with too many green peppers (the devil to me)? Sure. Loaded up with white onions? Sure.
