Had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner here. The place is really cute and has good sushi and very pleasant staff. Tim was very friendly and a pleasure to interact with. We will be back again!

I love how fairly priced the sushi is. They have an amazing lunch special with MANY options. If I lived locally, I would be a frequent customer. The sushi was good. The worker was kind. I, highly, recommend this spot.

Ordered off door dash and picked up a few rolls. California rolls were buy one get one and they hit the spot. Came with lots of wasabi which I appreciated because I use a lot! Will def order from here again.

Amazing little place I wandered upon because traffic was so bad on the Palisades I took an exit into what I believe is Englewood NJ .. only about 15 people is my guess can be seated in this tiny space .. the food was amazing especially the scallop sushi and the seafood soup .. a husband / wide team own Matsuyama . He makes the food fresh to order . And she works the front taking excellent care of the guests .. I would give it 10 stars because 5 stars aren't enough

Me and my boyfriend have become regular at this place. It's a wonderful hole in the wall i'm so happy to have found. The service and ambiance is spectacular. The service is always friendly and very attentive. The ambiance is amazing with light music playing, dimmed lights and beautiful decor. The food is spectacular and always incredibly fresh and quick. The best Japanese cuisine i have had in my life. I highly recommend the sashimi appetizer and volcano roll. It is incredibly fresh and just absolutely delicious. This place never disappoints. Every single item on their menu is amazing!! I will always come back!

I have ordered to go from here a few times and the food is always good/fresh. Love the flavor and the sushi is fresh. I went to eat there for the first time and they have indoor and outdoor seating but limited seating so call before you go to be safe. We called and were able to confirm no probe during the week. The service was 100%! They were on top of everything! The apps were good and the food was sooo good that i forgot to take pictures. Salmon teriyaki was so good. Flavored nice and not too fish at all. Sweet potato roll was creative and surprisingly good.

Got takeout for lunch and was pretty impressed with the food. Food was well-packaged and overall we were satisfied with what we got. What we ordered: 1. Chirashi - really nice presentation. There were 5-6 different varieties of fish, plus sweet egg and imitation crab. One improvement I would suggest is to replace the imitation crab with another kind of sashimi. 2. Tonkatsu - good flavor, but maybe use a thicker cut of meat or a lighter batter. As I was eating it, I felt like I was getting mostly the batter and not enough meat. 3. Assorted sushi rolls - they were all pretty good. The standouts to me were the shrimp tempura, spicy salmon, and yellow-tail rolls.

Best food! We love everything here & so will you!

(I did that recently for a holiday dinner) To his credit it was probably 8-10 years since we had been there. I remembered it favorably and was looking forward to trying it again. Doesn't feel like it's aged particularly well. We were the only diners a bit after 6 on a Thursday. Waitress was pleasant. We started with 5 skewers. Various parts of the chicken, mostly pretty bland. Nothing was bad but nothing was noteworthy. Tried another round of 5 skewers, the one with the plum filling was a bit more enjoyable. In Yakitori 39's defense, we probably did it wrong. It's probably fun with a bunch of sake but I don't drink alcohol. The ingredients seem quality. Probably won't be rushing back.

The place is pretty tiny. Probably not the best for groups. I imagine it could get packed quickly…read more Overall I liked the vibe. Kind of cool seeing the chef tending to the grill. My dining partner and I were seated rather quickly. Our server took our drink orders and came back promptly so we could order our food. The menu is pretty extensive but we ordered an assortment of skewers and a bowl of ramen to share. The skewers came out little by little; about 3 skewers per plate. They didn't come all at once so I assume they bring them out as they finish getting grilled. The chicken heart was some of the best I've ever had. I'm not sure if it's the way it was sliced, the seasoning, or just everything about it but I wish we ordered more. The tail skewer was another standout. It had so much crunch that it was almost like it was fried. The flavors were rich and varied. Each skewer cost upwards of $4 so that's a bummer. Unfortunately the ramen wasn't so great. Not terrible, but not great either. Especially not great for $19. Not my first choice for ramen. Is it the most bang for your buck? Certainly not. But I did enjoy my meal and in the end, that's what matters.

My friends recommended me this spot in the heart of Fort Lee. You may have to find street parking,…read moreand I would recommend a reservation on the weekends. The inside is super cute, and the display of the food is top notch. - Hand-roll set, (5/5): very worth your money! this entire set can definitely fill you up, and each of the hand rolls are so unique in flavor and super filling. I love the banchan as well, and my favorite is the edamame, which I think or flavored with miso butter?? - Pork Cutlet set, (4.5/5): got curry on the side as extra for $5, because it doesn't feel right to have tonkatsu without curry! The cutlet itself was fried very well, and it was not oily at all. it was on the sliiightly drier side, but I recommend getting it with the curry - Yuzu Cheesecake, (3.75/5): can taste the yuzu here, but the texture itself was a bit crumby, and I prefer a creamier texture. the serving size was also a bit small, and we felt that the strawberry didn't really pair well with the cheesecake overall I would come here again to try their other menu items! I heard their dons were pretty good. that's all from me thanks for reading :^)

I ordered the Unagi Don Gozen ($42)- it came with a whole tray of different delicious items, with the star of the show being a generous amount of unagi (eel) over rice. The eel was cooked very well and the rice was flavorful with a bit of sweetness. There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

Thank goodness there is finally a Tsukemen restaurant in NJ…read more My wife and I have been to the original location in Sawtelle and while I do believe there is better Tsukemen around, this is a welcome addition to the noodle scene. FIrst off, location looks nice, there is no reservation, but you do need to check in on an iPad when you walk in. We were lucky to have been seated pretty quickly (within 10 minutes of arrival). We didn't come here for anything else on the menu, so while I was wary of the comments for all of their other food, we came here for one thing alone, and that was the Dip ramen. I ordered the Deluxe Tsukemen, which comes with spicy takana on the side as well as pork chashu and ajitama egg. My wife ordered the Ajitama tsukemen which came with the egg on the side. I would say if you like a little bit of spice, dump the whole thing of takana into the broth as it was not that spicy. Foodwise, it was solid, the broth was good, well seasoned, with a pretty good deep pork flavor, and the trick is to order your noodles cold, and allow the broth to warm them up for you. While my wife and i both enjoyed our meals and it was a solid sunday lunch for us, I do think there are better tsukemen places out there (NYC or LA) but I do think if the craving is there for tsukemen, this place will satisfy that craving for you.
