We came here for lunch on Christmas day. We were so glad they were open. We were the only party dining in, but we saw several take out orders being carried out. They have a small dining space with 4 tables. It's relatively clean and modern. The menu is posted on the wall and they have self ordering kiosk. We ordered a bunch of items from the menu, starting with popcorn chicken and spring rolls. Both were really good. For entree I had the Bulgogi Gogi (GG1). I was a delicious bowl filled with flavorful bulgogi ribeye beef mixed with lettuce. The beef phuh (pho) was excellent too. The server at the store was friendly. She explained a lot of the menu items to us and patiently punched in all of our items. The dishes came out in short time too. Overall I really liked the food but wish the dining space was better conditioned (wobbly table, old tile on floor, speaker right next to table blasting music)

Pretty yummy pho spot; the brisket was tender and plentiful and the broth was refreshing. My husband ordered the spicy pho and wasn't a fan of the spice, it wasn't a sweet spice or spicy spice-- just red. The tteoboki was pretty good; could be spicier. The peach tea drink was refreshing however could be less sour. The place got potential to improve some dishes.

We came here for lunch and left unsatisfied. I was craving some pho and saw this new place with cool signage. You enter a relatively small restaurant but it has a cool green wall. The service was quick and pretty helpful. I got the spicy chicken pho without any additional vegetables. They said it's a too small to share. But I would disagree. We also got the chicken, spinach and vegetable dumplings. I couldn't really taste a difference between any of them. They were small and extra crispy. Back to the pho. It was very spicy and extra messy. The chili oil was all over our chins by the end of the meal. They use dark meat chicken but it's really big pieces and too chewy. The noodles are plentiful.

Best PHO ! Phuhroo tops my list. The food was phenomenal , fresh, hot, spicy (optional) and delicious tasting Pho. The ingredients were top class and the taste took me right back to Singapore/hanoi. It's clean and very well maintained. Service excellent. We had questions and were helped . Menu is very big we tried spicy pho with dumplings and tofu. It was the best. I am gonna be back to try banh mi.

Went to Phuroo yesterday after work. I've been here once before and thought it was just okay, but my usual spot closes between 4-5, so I gave them another shot. Big mistake. The broth was completely bland, no depth of flavor at all. I ordered the brisket with beef broth and the brisket literally looked like Steak-um meat--super thin and unappetizing. The only good thing I can say is that the Spanish lady at the register was very nice and the service was quick. Other than that, I will not be coming back.

Went to Phuhroo for a late dinner on a weeknight. Surprisingly, they are only open from 5pm to 3am daily. It's a small restaurant, with a few tables and minimal decor. It is clean though. We placed our orders at the register, sat ourselves, and waited. We waited a bit longer than i expected, but it was worth it. We ordered a spicy pho and a regular pho with a side of Cajun fries. The broth was surprisingly good, and the pho contained all of the correct ingredients. Prices were average for the area. I like that the spot is open late. Would definitely try again.

One of my favorite pho places!! I also truly appreciate the late hours too because sometimes you just need a late night meal/snack!! My absolute favorites are their beef pho with brisket, kimchi bulgogi fries, and fried cod banh mi. Those items never disappoint! Street parking only. Interior is small, but clean and they recently updated the menu and interior (much brighter inside now). Mostly a self-serve, casual place. Usually only one person taking orders in the front.

3.6 stars rounded up to 4. This is not an authentic Vietnamese food location but rather a fusion. I was surprised by all the positive reviews. Service was nice but minimal, seating area was generally clean and bright, bathroom was generally clean but old. Pho broth was passable, the beef was nice but the ingredients were not Vietnamese style. The banh mi meat was flavorful but the bread was either old or generally not nice. Plus the food was way too oily. We will not be back.

I'm really happy that there's a Korean x Vietnamese late night eatery in Hackensack. They're open from 5pm-3am every single day! Street parking available with limited tables inside. My reason for a 3 star rating is because my last two visits were inconsistent with the quality of the food. Their menu is small and basically consists of pho, rice bowls, banh mi sandwiches, and appetizers. The prices are a bit higher for a "fast food/fast casual" eatery, but what else is new. On both visits I ordered the bulgogi banh mi sandwich ($16) and handmade beef dumplings ($9). The banh mi was SO GOOD the first time. It came with bulgogi, avocado, two eggs, pickled veggies, cilantro, mint, and spicy mayo. Flavor wise, it was sweet and sour from the pickled veggies, salty from the marinated bulgogi, and the bread was perfectly crispy. The second time around, it wasn't nearly as good.... The flavors didn't quite hit and I got a skimpy portion of meat. The handmade dumplings are just okay... I doubt that they're handmade because they taste like the frozen ones you can get at the supermarket. They tasted better the second visit than the first. My +1 got the pho ($11) and he enjoyed it but thought the broth was too spicy for him. You're able to adjust the spice level though. I've also tried the fruit tea ($7) and oh my gosh it was almost undrinkable. It was WAY TOO SOUR. I wish they were more consistent with the food quality because I really like the fusion menu concept AND it's open late at night. I would still come back to try different menu items, and hopefully they'll be better.

Phuhroo in Hackensack, NJ, offers a nice mix of Asian flavors in a modern, cozy atmosphere. I really enjoyed their pho, Bahn mi, and dumplings; both were well-prepared and flavorful. However, I did find the prices a bit high for the area. If you're looking for a unique dining experience, it's worth a visit.

I was way overdo for some pho and banh mi and decided to try this place out. Ordered directly from their website, and it was delivered via Uber eats. It arrived pretty quickly and the temp was just right. The pho was very fragrant and had a flavorful broth. The meat was tender, and there were plenty of noodles and all the standard toppings. Portion was pretty big and filling. It came with a packet of hoisin and sriracha to add to your liking (I added the whole packet of sriracha and made it almost too spicy for me but cleared out my nostrils!). I tried a few bites of the bulgogi banh mi - not traditional Vietnamese but a solid sandwich with nice bread and flavorful fillings. The fried pork dumplings were a nice starter and still crispy on arrival. I enjoyed the Vietnamese Korean take of the menu. Overall, a solid meal - would order again.

The only reason I know this place exists, is because is through local Youtube food reviewer. I normally don't eat late, seeing as PHUHROO's hours are 5:00-3:00AM, but last night I definitely was craving some soup on a cold day. Put in my order, the guy said it would be ready in 15...came in 12 and the food was hot and ready for pickup! Really awesome and fresh. Didn't stay too long inside their establishment, but it looked clean and orderly. I ordered 2 items: first, I got the Spicy Pho with Brisket ($17). First, I comment the establishment on how they pack the pho --- everything looks beautiful, and I only have to assemble it once home in my big bowl. They also include 2 packets: 1 hoisin, and 1 sriracha. The pho was absolutely delicious! To be honest, I typically choose ramen over pho because pho tends to be light --- but their spicy broth was PACKED WITH FLAVOR! I thought I would split up the portions because it was quite substantial, but ended up finishing it! I think you would do the same. Second item I got is something not really advertised: Popcorn Broccoli ($7). I only know about it because of the King (iykyk), and these little fried morsels were absolutely delicious, served alongside a nice spicy, vinegary sauce that cut through all the oils. Another winner! So why 4 stars and not 5? Price transparency. If you look at the menu at my photos, the Pho should have been 16 dollars. (Pho -11- + Spicy -1- + Brisket -4- =16) I just ask that if they're prices are slightly higher (Pho = 11.50, Brisket 4.50), they better update the public menu so customers are not surprised. I think the change was rather recent, and they just haven't gone around to do it. This is a reminder it needs to be done. But overall? Definitely recommend! 10/10 overall, that missing point is over the price transparency. Once they are, 5's across the board!

The establishment has a very calm atmosphere, with a clean modern ambiance perfect for casual dining. Ambiance rate 7/10. To start off, they give an array of bottomless Korean side dishes like fish cake, kimchi, and radish which I enjoyed. My friend and I ordered... 1. Seafood Pancake: This appetizer was incredibly delicious! The variety of seafood incorporated into this soft Asian style savory pancake made it very flavorful! Rate 9/10. 2. Beef Tofu Stew: This had beef, kalguksu, and tofu at a regular spice level. This dish was average, nothing special. I enjoyed the tender beef. This dish tastes very heavy of tofu, even from a sip of the stew. Therefore, if you're a big fan of tofu, this dish is for you! Rate 6/10. 3. Pork Bulgogi Bento Box: I was satisfied with this box due to all the different kinds of foods included in it, such as miso soup, pork bulgogi, tempuras, japchae, salad, and rice. Overall, it was delicious and filling! However, the pork bulgogi wasn't too flavorful, or that spicy like advertised, and it was really oily. Rate 7/10. The service was very quick, and although our waiter was helpful, he didn't seem that friendly. For example, if I asked for more napkins, he would seem annoyed. Service/staff rate 5/10. Overall, this place is a nice spot to enjoy casual Korean food. However, I wouldn't come back here again because of the mediocrity of the dishes, and limited menu selection.

Finding parking is quite challenging given the location on a busy commercial street, so make sure you can come earlier than meal time to have better luck. They have waiting seats OUTSIDE so yeah I suppose it's quite popular at times. 1. ATMOSPHERE (3/5) - This location is small and it's pretty straightforward place. But I still found it cozy, with decent amount of seating (I think it can handle 15-20 max) and little details like wall with wood ledges and coat hangers were a nice touch. Seating was comfortable, though we tied our down parkas around our waist as another party had hung theirs on our side of coat hangers. 2. FOOD (4/5) - We dove right in to try their famous gejang (~Korean raw crab "ceviche") and ordered two of their namesake gookbap (rice with soup) to see how they are. Here's how it went down. - Gejang (App, $20, 2/5) - I had a hunch that on a holiday perhaps I should not order this, but my craving for succulent crab flesh be damned, I went for it and unfortunately, the meat was not well-marinated as I had feared. Gejang is a dish that has to sit in the complex soy-based pickling liquid for some time... and if restaurant is too busy churning them out or if it's slow season they won't do this properly. It not only wasn't fully marinated, I think the marinade was off because the spiciness was way out of balance and was overpowering. Perhaps knowing that it didn't have enough time to marinade the kitchen put extra diced jalapenos to compensate? Because that's exactly what it tasted like - you can't fool me. I tried to salvage the dish by asking a confused-looking girl server for some sugar, but yeah, can't un-do the overpowered marinade with sprinkling of sugar. This was really unfortunate as I was looking forward to a good bite. - Ahjae Gookbap (Main, $18, 5/5) - Thankfully, their namesake gookbap was spot-on to salvage our dining. Generous slabs of succulent beef on the bone and off the bone was swimming in a hearty beef/bone broth that tasted clean and focused. Portion was good, and can I say their banchan of fish cake moochim & unfermented kimchi & ggakdugi(radish kimchi) simply ROCKS? That was some serious deliciousness and dare I say value at $18 at a day and age where hamburger costs over $10! You win at life by ordering this! 3. SERVICE (4/5) - Our server girl was attentive and food came out early on though later it was a bit hard to get her attention promptly. We found ourselves putting hands in the air, and wavin' like we don't care... for a little while. They provide gloves & metal bin for gejang which was a nice touch for people to keep their fingers clean. One thing I'd like to mention: Plastic cup they served water in was all chipped on the rim so we instead went and got water from their hot & cold water dispenser which had metal cups (as many korean restaurants do). I'd suggest them to replace all these old plastic cups with metal ones for health reasons. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal. I'd chock up the gejang mishap to it being a holiday. I hope chef was just off with the marinade that day because I am a certified gejang pro(I catch and make my own) and that balance ain't it. But I will give it another try during warmer month and we'll definitely be back to try sooyook moochim, oyster jeon & other great soup offerings.

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

For the most part, we already knew what we wanted to order, so we placed an order for the BBQ items and hot pot meats first. Only the meats are the items you need to order. Everything else, you grab at the buffet - including seafood, fish balls, veggies, and noodles. The BBQ items are just okay, but that tends to be the case with you have hot pot + BBQ. I also highly recommend their Soondae Guk (blood sausage in ox bone soup) and the classic Seolleongtang (ox bone soup). You really can't go wrong with any of their traditional broths. The service is fantastic, fast and always friendly. Prices have gone up a bit, but they now offer a discount if you pay in cash, so it's definitely worth bringing some bills with you. There's no lot and street parking in this area can be a little challenging though.

They were already prepared for us when we arrived, with three tables pushed together. I ordered the seafood jjambbong since I was in the mood for something hot and soupy. The bowel was big! The soup was good, but very red! Definitelyuse a napkin while eating this meal. While I was eating my food, I kept eyeing the order of one of my teammates. She ordered combo c, which looked amazing! I wanted it so badly, a month and half later, I brought my husband here to celebrate our one month wedding anniversary. And guess what we ordered. Combo C! And we were not disappointed. Absolutely delicious. The price of the food is very reasonable, especially the portion you are given. Definitely will go back to try other things on the menu.

The cuisine…read morehas been influenced by various cultures, including Chinese, Japanese, and Mongolian. The ancient Koreans were known for their agricultural skills and their use of fermented foods, which has had a lasting impact on Korean cuisine. Although other East Asian cuisines such as Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese had long been popular in the US, Korean food has recently risen in popularity. Located off of Bergen Turnpike in Little Ferry, this casual establishment serves Korean comfort dishes, and I came for lunch as a first-timer. Upon entering Bunsiknara Plus, I got a table quickly inside a clean, well-lit, spacious, modern vibe and got a chance to speak with the owner. The menu was diverse, consisting of multiple pages ranging from Tteokbokki, Kimbap, and Tonkatsu to LA Galbi Combo. There is definitely something for everyone. I decided on the quick meal of Pork Tonkatsu (돈가스) which was hammered thin, making it larger and thinner to maximize the meat and crispiness. Complimentary Banchan consisting of kimchi, pickled radishes, and salad began the meal. The food was bold, complex, and delicious, using a range of spices, herbs, and other fresh ingredients. The special sauce luckily came separately to avoid being soggy. As is common in many other Asian countries, a bowl of rice is of central importance and anchors the entire meal. The portions were huge, and the price was reasonable. The service was quick and professional. I could recommend this place.
