I came here with my football team to my bachelorette celebration. It was my first time here. My first impression was how brightly lit the place was inside. They were already prepared for us when we arrived, with three tables pushed together. I ordered the seafood jjambbong since I was in the mood for something hot and soupy. The bowel was big! The soup was good, but very red! Definitelyuse a napkin while eating this meal. While I was eating my food, I kept eyeing the order of one of my teammates. She ordered combo c, which looked amazing! I wanted it so badly, a month and half later, I brought my husband here to celebrate our one month wedding anniversary. And guess what we ordered. Combo C! And we were not disappointed. Absolutely delicious. The price of the food is very reasonable, especially the portion you are given. Definitely will go back to try other things on the menu.

Korean cuisine has a long and fascinating history that dates back thousands of years. The cuisine has been influenced by various cultures, including Chinese, Japanese, and Mongolian. The ancient Koreans were known for their agricultural skills and their use of fermented foods, which has had a lasting impact on Korean cuisine. Although other East Asian cuisines such as Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese had long been popular in the US, Korean food has recently risen in popularity. Located off of Bergen Turnpike in Little Ferry, this casual establishment serves Korean comfort dishes, and I came for lunch as a first-timer. Upon entering Bunsiknara Plus, I got a table quickly inside a clean, well-lit, spacious, modern vibe and got a chance to speak with the owner. The menu was diverse, consisting of multiple pages ranging from Tteokbokki, Kimbap, and Tonkatsu to LA Galbi Combo. There is definitely something for everyone. I decided on the quick meal of Pork Tonkatsu (돈가스) which was hammered thin, making it larger and thinner to maximize the meat and crispiness. Complimentary Banchan consisting of kimchi, pickled radishes, and salad began the meal. The food was bold, complex, and delicious, using a range of spices, herbs, and other fresh ingredients. The special sauce luckily came separately to avoid being soggy. As is common in many other Asian countries, a bowl of rice is of central importance and anchors the entire meal. The portions were huge, and the price was reasonable. The service was quick and professional. I could recommend this place.

First timer at Bunsik. Nice spacious and very bright open space. What I initially wanted was not available as it's a winter only dish so I settled for kimchi jiggae. Good portion, lots of pork but could have used more tofu. Flavorful broth which had a hint of tomato, which I don't think is common. I wish the banchan options were better too. Only came with decent kimchi, salad and picked turnip which I hated because it had cinnamon in it - I don't think it paired well at all and have never seen it at any other korean restaurant. Decent enough to come back to of I'm shopping at the near by hmart.

Service was a lot better the second time around so they took some feedback it seems, even though initially they spoke to us on Korean! They were generous with banchan and kimmari came out seared in perfection. My hot stone bibimbap was a good portion. We all left pretty satisfied.

Bunsiknara Plus opened a few months ago in Little Ferry. Walking in late afternoon, I loved the decor. The establishment was bright with light shade, some real plants and fake ones around, and the crisp look between white walls and wood look. Spacious, some tvs in the back set at no volume. Ambiance was peaceful. I had a Fish Udon noodles soup. Udon and fish balls were good. My husband had the omelette and rice (asked for no meat). Waitress actively came around, was not busy the time we came around 4pm. All payments accepted, plenty of parking is available.

Big portions, and a cute dining area. The outside doesn't look like much but the inside is deceptively big. - Yukgaejang: 4.5/5, nice and spicy and pairs so well with rice - Squid and Pork Stir Fry: 3/5, too sweet and not a big fan of squid with the stir fry.. it was on the chewier side Good to visit if you want to go with family and friends - great sharing portions!

Came back to try the other dishes and they were still delicious!! Love coming here for the vibe - fried chicken combo D 4.5/5: big portions and juicy tender chickenn which you can't go wrong - pasta peppercino 3/5: a little too bland for what it is. A little sweet but also no taste - kimchi fried rice 4/5: although lacking kimchi taste it was still decent - bulgogi kimbap 3.5/5: super packed and meaty but the meat was a bit dry

Bunsik Nara Plus is so spacious with a lovely interior design, and their portion sizes are hugeeeee. They also offer a large selection on their menu of various Korean comfort food from stews, to kalguksu, to donkatsu, to jjajangmyeon, to kimbap, etc.

Tried a different Korean place. We usually go to Korean BBQ and this was a different experience for us. I loved the katsu, nicely fried. Service was really fast and the servers are very attentive. I found the choices too limiting, although they were able to accommodate the switch from pork to chicken katsu. Banchans are small and not enough compared to typical KBBQ places, but then again, this is not a BBQ place so I get it.

9/9/24 Saw that a new place opened by the HMart in Little Ferry so we had to try them! They have a modern spacious space, it's bright and open. You don't feel crowded by other parties. Service was good. The lady was polite. Just got to the point of ordering. As with all Korean restaurants, they bring out Banchan once you are seated. We got a salad, pickled radish/turnip (wasn't really sure what it was) and kimchi. Salad was ok, I needed more dressing lol We didn't like the pickled radish/turnip what ever it was, it was too sweet... Kimchi was good. Fried Shrimp with Chili Sauce was good. Shrimp was crispy and seasoned that you didn't need the sauce. But the sauce was so good. And what a big bowl of it! We were like did it come with soup? LOL The chili sauce was not as spicy as I was expecting. It's almost like a lightly spicy, sweet and sour sauce. It did pair well with the shrimp. The bed the shrimp laid on, I thought was fried noodles tasted like potato straws and with chili sauce was really good. I originally went in going to order the tofu stew as I needed something soft after a dental procedure but when I saw the Gamjatang (Pork Back Bone Soup) on the menu I had to try it. It was a delicious choice! The pork was falling off the bones and the soup was so flavorful. It was a special, but I hope it becomes a permanent menu item. Because on a cold winter day, this would so hit the spot! Short Arm Octopus and Pork platter was sizzling! Flavorful and spicy. Hubby's only complain was they put too much onions. I love onions so more for me! Definitely will be coming back for more!

Seafood Curry Rice was super satisfying: two large tempura shrimp, whole shrimp pieces, and squid, all covered in rich curry topped with crispy garlic chips. I ordered medium spicy, but honestly it barely had any heat. The Rose-to-ppoki (rosé tteokbokki) was a standout--fish cakes, rice cakes, and glass noodles coated in a creamy, spicy cheese sauce. It's rich, slightly addictive, and I seriously considered getting another order to-go. Cheese Don Katsu had that dramatic cheese pull moment. Surprisingly not greasy or overwhelming--the crispy pork cutlet balances the creamy cheese really well. We also got the fish cake soup (twice!). Light, warm, and not too salty--perfect comfort side. And the fish cake skewers soak up the broth so well. Don't skip the seaweed rice balls--mixing and shaping them yourself is oddly satisfying, and they taste great too. Everything pairs perfectly with rice--definitely come hungry. Around $25 per person, and it's even better if you come with a group so you can try a bit of everything. We walked up to a simple setup where you order at the counter, receive a buzzer, and pick up your bowl when it is ready. The setting is different from a typical ramen restaurant since it operates in a food court environment, but the quality of the ramen makes it stand out. Seating is shared with the rest of Mitsuwa, and it can get crowded quickly, especially around peak meal times, so going earlier helps because the lines can build up and finding a table may take longer than expected. The ramen is the main reason to visit. The broth is rich, flavorful, and has the deeper taste that you expect from a good Japanese ramen shop. The miso ramen has a strong savory base without being overwhelming, while the shio ramen offers a lighter but still satisfying flavor. The toroniku ramen is another highlight because the pork is tender and adds a lot of richness to the bowl. The noodles and toppings are solid, though the experience can vary depending on the dish. The chashu and pork toppings are some of the stronger parts, with a good balance of texture and flavor. We appreciated that the bowls feel hearty and filling rather than just being focused on broth alone. The pricing is a little higher compared to some ramen spots, especially considering the food court setting, but the quality makes it easier to justify. It feels like a convenient way to get a more authentic ramen experience without needing to go into the city. Service is straightforward and efficient, with the staff handling the steady flow of orders without delays. Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is one of the stronger food court ramen options around the area. The rich broth, quality toppings, and consistent flavors make it worth stopping by, especially if you are already visiting Mitsuwa. Just plan around the crowds because it can get busy.
