Can't remember the last time I went to White Castle! Accompanied my friend, who has a diversified palate! The burgers, while tasty, have upset my stomach in the past, so I was happy to see they had other offerings. I chose their chicken and cravioli special. It was tasty and filling for only $3.99! Service was decent and restaurant was clean. Won't hesitate to go back! read more

Ahhh the nostalgia of White Castle. Grew up in the East Coast which has plenty of locations. There are none where I live in the whole state of CA unless I get them frozen which is just not the same. I was excited when a few popped up in Vegas but I thought I just didn't like them as much anymore after dining out there a few times. Turns out those locations are just horrible. Grabbed a Crave Case out here while in NJ and it's exactly how I remembered. The grilled onions always mess up my tummy but it was so worth it! read more

Parking is plenty and their service time is pretty decent for fast food. Good sliders for cheap and if you want some something quick.

Had a great experience at this location. My family and I are on vacation and we do not have White Castle near us, so we typically stop if we see one. We are a family of 7, so our order was fairly large. Shoutout to the worker named Joy! She was patient, took our order and repeated it back to us. Everything cane out right the first time. Joy was super pleasant and friendly and deserves recognition. Thanks again! read more

Slow experience. Had to wait extra minutes at the drive-thru just to order, had to wait for the food behind another car which had a small order which took time. If it wasn't for the fact this was White Castle, would definitely have passed. As a stands, probably will pass next time as a craving isn't worth waiting this long unless I have a bunch of time to waste. Literally was able to write this part of the review while waiting on the order... Burgers were pretty standard for White Castle which is what you would want. They make them fresh, but they need a better drive thru system. Put us all waiting to the side and with a number or something.... Or pre-make a bunch of burgers during lunch time. read more

White Castle has always been a place I wanted to check out for many reasons. The nostalgia of this place alone would have brought me here but seeing it referenced in movies and hearing about this place from people that grew up in New York and New Jersey told me it was a must try. I like the menu options. The hamburger sliders, chicken, sliders, fries, shakes, cola's, and now they offer new menu items like chicken rings and chicken wings. I ordered the burger sliders and chicken sliders and a fry and enjoyed all of it. Is it a little overhyped? Yes, but still worth checking out because the food is pretty good. Friendly service with a smile, which I always appreciate. The restaurant seemed kept up and clean with interesting decor of White Castle pictures from the early days. I also liked the little notes on the back of the burger and fry cartons. Cool place to check out whenever you get a chance. read more

horrendous. lady did not understand order. had to be corrected no fewer than 3 times. price is up by at least a few dollars since last year for same items. but most importantly, they sold me old burgers that had been reheated very obviously. the burgers were hard and crumbly and *stiff around the edges*. there was a foul smell by the window and it isn't clear whether it was coming from inside or outside but it was a terrible combination of old oil and food gone bad. read more

White Castle - this location is selling old reheated burgers. it's disgusting. look at the hardened (freezer burned?) edges! - Fast Food Near Me - Little Ferry, New Jersey

Oh so good! I grew up on these incredible little burgers and I love them. There is nothing like a White Castle original slider. I remember when my father used to pull up into a parking spot in their lot and girls would come up on skates to our car, take our order then bring them little delicious burgers to the car. They used to put them on a tray hooked up to the door. The aroma would permeate the air and as smell is the strongest sensor of memory it takes me back to the Bronx where I grew up. I hardly ever eat these things because I prefer good food rather than fast food, but every now and then I get an urge for something from the past and I enjoy them thoroughly. Unfortunately the days of girls on skates is over but you can still enjoy a White Castle original slider. Sorry no pics I ate them all. read more

Service sucked, the worker at the window on 12/18/2024 @ the White Castle in Hackensack was the rudiest and unprofessional person, that I have come across. If you don't feel like working stay home read more

The staff member this older Spanish lady was very rude. when it comes food and hospitality, you should be polite to the costumers and vs versa . I understand that people have bad days once in a while but leave that rudeness and attitude at home. Or simply find another job. read more

Always been a fan of White Castle and I give it four starts. It is my favorite fast food spot. Been eating White Castle since I was a kid and they have a special place in my heart and I guess my stomach. I have been to tons of White Castles throughout NY and NJ and this particular branch is very good. The place is very clean and the service is always 5 star, professional, polite and the order is always perfectly correct. I give them alot of credit for trying hard to keep up with customers ever changing expectations. They now have veggie options and the seasonal menu is always tasty and worth the experience. Zero customer service from this place. You could stand in front of the staff for 10 minutes and they won't acknowledge you whatsoever. It's kind of sad really. There needs to be a manager on site to teach the 16-year-old employees how to do their job. read more

I like this white castle... staff that works here are nice and helpful. However today put a damper on my positive viewpoint. I ordered 2 fish sliders ($2.99!!) and a 6 piece chicken rings. .which totaled over $8. WHOA!! BUT ok...I didn't take my time to select a more economical meal... so I went to Window to adjust my order and was told that they couldn't because it was already done. Seriously? No one else waiting behind me.... no reason I can understand. Don't you just throw pre-made food in a bag and call it A day? Then I get home and my 6 piece is actually a 4 piece.. Don't think I'll be going here again. I know it's Fast Food but can't pple get WHAT is paid for? CUSTOMER service has become less and less important. Sad.... read more

White Castle. For when your eyes are bigger than your stomach but you still want to eat 4 or 5 of something. For better or worse it's a change of pace (literally) from the typical fast food burger spots. Sometimes the service will be SLOW but other times it is passable. There are a number of different sliders to try but I stick to their signature steam-grilled beef sliders (they taste better than the name sounds). The Ghost Pepper cheese is not as spicy as the name implies, but it is quite tasty. I'm a fan of their sides as well. They have crinkle cut fries (standard), chicken rings (dope), clam strips (very rare), and onion rings (admittedly 'meh'). Don't be a savage, get yourself a side; maybe even put some inside your slider. You're welcome. During my high school days a friend and I decided it'd be a fun idea to split a Crave Case (30 sliders). This particular friend was deathly allergic to dairy so he opted for hamburgers while I went with cheese, 15 each. It took quite a lot of mental fortitude but we did it. By the end of it we were sick. I also had a volleyball game immediately after. I came pretty close to vomiting. Despite this, I still go back to White Castle every so often. Solid spot. read more

Nothing fancy, simple and filling! Classic and doesn't come with any vegetables. I'm comparing it to the frozen WC sliders from the supermarket, it does taste the same surprisingly! Grew up have White Castle sliders but with many locations closing, their sliders have been harder o come by. This location is very much how I remember a White Castle to be. The seats, boards and decor is very much the same. The sliders and fries make nostalgic. They have introduced new items like the impossible meatless burger and other sandwiches but everything feels very "White Castle". The ventilation is very poor at this location and you will leave smelling like beef and oil even if you are there for a few second. Use their drive throw if you are taking out. They also deliver via all the food delivery services. The staff here is also friendly! read more

Writing a review for your drive thru service after the 2nd time in a row, we were told there is a wait. We went inside after 10 minutes of being parked in front of the speaker and the staff was extremely overwhelmed, to say the least, and we were told 30 minutes wait, as another customer complained about their cold food. Unacceptable!!!!!! Don't waste your time. We sure won't be. This is an extremely poorly managed location. read more

I've come here twice and each time the staff has been friendly and food delicious. I ordered their cheesy combo for $9.99 and mixed and matched the several cheeseburger flavors. 5 stars! Why? Because I'm comparing it to other fast food spots (McD's, BK, Wendy's, Taco Bell, KFC, etc). This is by far my favorite fast food spot next to Popeye's and this location is the best one I've been to in the area. It's clean, the employees are nice, and they get my order right almost every time (almost, hence the 4 stars). I also enjoy almost all their seasonal items. My favorite so far has been their Hot Chicken Slider that I tried today. SO good and spicy! I was surprised how spicy it was! Not too spicy for me because I enjoy extremely spicy things, but for a fast food place it was probably the spiciest thing I've had. I hope they keep it! This spot is also 24/7 which is great for those late night munchies. Yum yum! read more

*pick up friend from airport* "Dude, let's go to White Castle!" Can two Harold's go to White Castle? We made a midnight run at the Bergen White Castle, which surprisingly had a long drive-thru queue. Fine, we order inside and grab it to go. 10 burgers, two fries, about $10 bucks - not too shabby. Buns were pillowy soft, the meat was thin, and surprise layer of sauteed onions. There was a time in my life where I could knock down 30 of these ewoks in one sitting. I think I used to eat them with onion rings too, the large box. Since I'm no longer on big willy status I can only reminisce of those days of yore. The frozen version of this burger does not do it any kind of justice. This is a burger best enjoyed after a six-pack of beer. For optimum flavor, drink that six-pack in an hour or so. An average person can easily knock four minis down along with a regular fry and a small/med soda. I would not condone making this a daily or even a weekly meal, unless of course you're into that sort of thing. I haven't made my yearly visit yet this year, but I'll be back east for Xmas. I'm sure I'll pencil it into the schedule. What you crave... read more

Yes, 5 stars. I've never been disappointed in White Castle. This location is very clean. The staff is very courteous, The food is, well, White Castle good. My latest visit was at 11:30 PM after a tortuous American Airlines experience from Dallas/Fort Worth. Plane changes and gate changes. No meal on board. Pissed me off. During a gas stop on the turnpike I got the hankering for something to eat that didn't require my cooking. Where to go? Where else but White Castle? Like a good friend, it is always there for you, offering comfort 24/7. My go-to meal is the same, 4 sliders, 6 piece bag of chicken rings and a small bag of onion rings. All were devoured in the car during my 10 minute ride home. The one time I don't mind red traffic lights. Forgot all about that flight and all was Nirvana. 5 stars, indeed. read more

Five stars for their customer service alone! My family made go here and order a ton of stuff (crave cases and a large of everything) but they managed to get my order out fast and with very polite service. This White Castle was totally empty wheb I got there in the evening on a weekday, but they must be doing well or else they wouldn't be there for the past years. The place is clean and the servers are friendly. Tried the plant-based Impossible Sliders (w/o the cheese) and it tastes great with condiments like ketchup - just like real meat. So have all the Impossible Sliders you want, it's all healthy! I love white castle, but after today if I decide to go back I would go inside instead of drive up. Wednesday I ordered shrimp nibblers combo medium $11.00 Friday I went back and ordered the same thing and they charged me $13 , when I asked him why the difference his answer was that he didn't know .
