    Truffle Parmesan Fries
    Benedict C.

I finally got to try Marty's today and it was fantastic. The customer service was superb and the food was delicious. The place is kind of small, but you can always get the food to-go. I tried the Double Cheeseburger, Mushroom Burger, Truffle Parmesan fries, and Poutine. Everything was great. The patties on the burgers were cooked perfectly and were flavorful. Everything in the burgers added something and I never felt like they were doing too much. The fries were nice and I enjoyed them both but I think I liked the Truffle Parmesan more--I'm a sucker for all things truffle. The poutine was surprisingly good too though. I wish the gravy were a little thicker but it was hot enough that it caused the cheese curds to get nice and melty. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings.

Ordered this for pickup but the ambiance and service both seemed solid! This is located on main street so expect street parking. We got the BBQ burger, jalapeno burger, and the poutine fries. These burgers were both great sizes and they did not skimp out on the filling! I also like how the poutine fries come with the gravy with cheese on the side so the fries aren't soggy and it makes it easier to share with those who might not like that. Would recommend!

Absolutely love this burger spot the food is. always fresh and has great taste. It's small inside but there's a few tables to eat at.

I used to go to Habit Burger for Impossible burgers, but since they stopped offering them, I started searching for another local spot--and I'm so glad I found Marty's! The burger was delicious--full of flavor, cooked perfectly, and honestly better than I expected. It really hit the spot and didn't disappoint. If you're looking for a solid impossible burger option, definitely give this place a try.

So glad Marty's opened in Hackensack! Their burgers are fresh and full of flavor. You can't go wrong with the classic cheeseburger (my boyfriend got the double) and the jalapeño. The mac and cheese is so cheesy and rich. It's definitely a must. It was my first time trying the poutine (disco fries) and was a little disappointed by the watery gravy. It all pooled to the bottom of the fry basket. I would've like a thicker gravy that clung onto the fries.

Was looking for a quick dinner when I found out Marty's had another location in Hackensack. I had just visited the Fort Lee location a few weeks prior, and I had no idea Marty's had multiple locations. So I went to see how this one stacked up. As it turns out, this location literally opened yesterday. I met Marty and Ryan. They were actually there trying things out on the menu. It is much smaller than the Fort Lee location, with only a few tables. The menu appears to be identical. You order at the register and someone brings the food to your table. I got a double cheeseburger with bacon and jalapenos along with a side of cheese fries. This cheeseburger was just like the one I had in Fort Lee, but the beef patties had better texture and still juicy. The vegetables were fresh, I especially liked that the jalapenos were very thinly sliced. The fries this time has some truffle flavor, and it came with a container of cheese sauce. I really really liked their cheese sauce. It's tangy and a little smoky. It thickened up nicely as it cooled down. This location is closer to home and I liked my food better this time so I'll definitely frequent this one more.

Delivery Order: Absolutely loved their Fried Chicken. Super crunchy on the outside but inside was soft and juicy. Did not try anything else from their Menu but would definitely order from here again.

3.5 Stars Marty's is in a sliver of a retail space with just a few tables. It's success will be on the Pick Up or Delivery business. Street parking on very busy Main Street is tough. This is the 3rd location ( after Fort Lee & Jersey City) I heard great things. Saw Marty's mentioned on a lot of "best burger" lists. I had to try to out. Maybe if I tried a few more items it could be 4 Star. But I already had 3 of it's specialties.+ fries and I just don't see it. Definitely better than any fast food chain. But not as good as a pub or a few other "higher" regarded fast paced burger places like ( rhymes with Stake Sack) Plenty of options & signature burgers\dogs as well as build-your-own. I found the hot dogs were plain old supermarket hot dogs. No flavor & boring. Not even the (oddish) chili & onions could save it. We tried the Old Bay Seasoned fries and the Salt & Vinegar fries and couldn't tell the difference. At $5\ order, we should have. As for the burgers which draws you in: We tried the single cheeseburger ( $6.95) which was "good" and the Mushroom, Swiss, Dijon burger ($10.49!) which was very good, but at that price with nothing on the side ....it better be very good. It's a good place. Good food. If you're OK with the prices and you need a burger fast and you;'re in the area, then great. But I don't see what all he hype is.

Simplicity is all you need sometimes. The burgers here at Marty's were might fine and exactly what you would expect. I had a double cheeseburger on a potato roll with the usual toppings of lettuce, onions, tomato, house sauce, and pickles. Not pictured, I also got a single with a lettuce wrap instead of the bun. I appreciate restaurants making this a visual option (one where you don't have to ask as a special request) and not charging extra for it. Service was fast and efficient. The woman at the counter was courteous and pleasant. Inside was decorated with mirrors that had pastel marker drawings. The seating was a long bench to metal tables and metal chairs opposite. I'll be back to try the specialty burgers later. No complaints here.

build your own burger with house sauce bacon, cheese, lettuce on a potato bun and they sent me a patty BYOB - Build Your Own Burger

I ordered a byob with bacon, lettuce, frizzled onions, Marty's sauce and cheddar cheese on a potato bun and they sent me a plain patty on a bun with sauce I ordered for my fries on the side. I am allergic to sesame seeds so couldn't event eat it. Spent $40 on fucking burgers and fries and was all excited and got shit delivered to me.

There is always a wait at lunchtime regardless if you want to dine in or take out. I have been a fan of what they do for a long time because you just don't see this type of establishments around anymore. They have certainly stood the test of time. Beef patties, smashed with a lot of grilled finely cut onions, then add pickles, American cheese, and some ketchup, on a soft pillowy Martin's potato bread is a can't miss right? This formula has not changed here for decades. Like I said, I really appreciate the deep history. However, if I'm being honest, I wish the beef quality was better and the cook would add a tad more seasoning. For me, their burger has always tasted slightly bland compared to my favorite burger joints. Yet I still come back. Prices are not what it once was either, but what is? It's still very inexpensive. What I consider a large slider rather than a full size burger is still considered good eats in my book. I certainly would stop by when in the neighborhood if the lines are reasonable.

I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.
