Whiskey bacon burger

You can enjoy surprisingly huge and tasteful burgers, at one of family owned (Mr. Lee's) business. Favorites are: Nova classic, Philly cheese steak and Whiskey bacon burgers.

The food was decent at an acceptable price. The buns were delicious, though the beef was not of the highest quality, the price does reflect that. And the French fries were very good. Though the ambience is very casual, I admire the lady behind the counter who provided a warm smile and looked to be working hard to make an honest living. I feel like she is a good person and deserves to be successful.

Went to Nova burger for some post gym protein with my good friend, Jabriel J. It's a small spot tucked into the back of Little Ferry. It has its own parking lot which is convenient. I ordered the gyro burger with curly fries. It was a surprisingly large burger. The flavor of the gyro meat was a bit overpowering, I could barely taste the burger until I added a bit of salt. The sauces they have available are pretty good too. Prices are fair, about $11 total for my entire meal.

Combo B12. Gimme Whiskey, Bacon 'n BBQ

Burgers definitely did not disappoint, can't wait to be back! Seems family owned, really kind staff and reasonably fast for the size of these burgers. 10/10 experience, happy to find this hole in the wall spot so close to my area!

Fire alarm burger with fries.

Husband and I had the Nova and 'fire alarm' burgers. Happy to say it was really good, especially the brioche bun!

There is nothing about this place that says they feature Mexican food. Maybe they used to in the past. Rather it should be called Nova Burger and Chinese Cuisine. In addition to burgers they sell lo main, beef and broccoli, fried rice, and a pretty full chinese food menu. They have a variety of burger entrees on the menu. Seemed promising. I asked if I could have my burger prepared medium well. I was told yes. I was disappointed when I saw my burger was not onlywell done, it was a burger pattie. This was not a freshly prepared, seasoned burger, rather a previously frozen unseasoned burger pattie and was totally underwhelming. Edited to include: from looking at previous pics, it looks like they used to serve real beef burgers. I instead recieved an unseasoned, previously frozen, burger pattie. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese burger. The fried egg was overcooked. My fried ordered fried onions on her burger. She recieved canned fried onions; not fresh onions fried on a grill. Underwhelming. One plus is the place is cute and clean. We both ordered lettuce buns and recieved large, fresh lettuce pieces w our burgers. Neither of us recieved pickles and that was a disappointment as well.

Classic with egg.

Visited for an early lunch and they were just getting started. The location was pretty easy to find, but it's right on an awkward intersection. They have a some parking spots available, but it's not a big lot. Think they forgot to turn on the heat, so the place was completely freezing. I could see my breath even when I was inside. They realized 30 minutes later and finally turned on the heat. Ordered the classic burger special that came with fries and drink. Threw an extra egg on as well. Burger came out really quick and surprisingly was cooked perfectly medium. Size was the burger was huge as indicated by other reviews. Everything was fresh. Seasoning was a bit lacking and I had to add quite a bit of salt and pepper to it. Would help tremendously if they seasoned their patties. This place has some potential because of the value. They also deliver locally as well. Seems like they still need to work some kinks out on their routine though. Will check back the next time I get burger craving again.

Saw that this new burger spot opened up close to work, it was pretty packed for being new. The staff was very nice but very unorganized, not knowing who ordered what (expected for a new restaurant). They have some interesting burgers, I stuck to the bacon egg and cheese burger. I wish you had a choice of how to get it done, it was a little over cooked, but the bacon was amazing, and the egg was just runny enough to soak into the meat. The burgers are also huge, and the bun is soft and fresh. I will be back to see how they improve.

F3. Chili 'n Cheese Fries ...these were yummy!

Phenomenal 1/2 lb burger on a homemade bun. Cooked to order and excellent fries. Dining room was spotless. Would recommend anytime.

I've heard comparisons between Marty's patties and those of Five Guys, and I can see why. They're fresh rather than frozen, and they're thin enough to approximate a smashed burger with those occasional bits of char while still maintaining enough heft that you can taste the beef. Their build-your-own burger menus are also similar, with plenty of free toppings to choose from. But I would argue that Marty's offers a fuller range of toppings from diverse cheese options to more premium ones like fried eggs, bacon, and avocado. I tried two of their signature burgers, and while the Swiss mushroom dijon was a hit with my husband (he pointed out the visible mustard seeds in the dijon sauce), the bacon avocado was the clear winner in my book. It not only had bacon that was texturally perfect (crispy and densely packed atop the patty), but also picture-ready slices of avocado. For that to come out of a fast food restaurant kitchen within a matter of minutes? Color me impressed. The banana pudding is dynamite. I'm usually neither a fan of banana nor puddings because those things combined just sound like mush. But here, the pudding is more of a whipped, airy texture, and I believe it when the lid says 'made fresh' because there were chunks of banana nestled in every bite. I admit it might not be much to look at, but I was hooked after a single spoonful (I'm actually greedily scraping the bottom of the container as I type this review). The restaurant has a diminutive dining space (I counted four two-tops at most), but it feels super cozy and casual. I took my food to go and found nothing had deteriorated - in flavor, temperature, or texture - during my drive home because everything is well packaged. There's paid street parking available, but this area of Hackensack is pretty dense so you might have to circle around for a bit before finding a spot.

I tried the Double Cheeseburger, Mushroom Burger, Truffle Parmesan fries, and Poutine. Everything was great. The patties on the burgers were cooked perfectly and were flavorful. Everything in the burgers added something and I never felt like they were doing too much. The fries were nice and I enjoyed them both but I think I liked the Truffle Parmesan more--I'm a sucker for all things truffle. The poutine was surprisingly good too though. I wish the gravy were a little thicker but it was hot enough that it caused the cheese curds to get nice and melty. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings.

One guy was holding down the fort at the register (Kevin!), and the place was spotless. He walked me through the menu really clearly and even gave some solid recommendations, which I appreciated. I ended up going with the OKC Fried Onion Mash Burger, added fresh jalapeños, got a side of Cajun fries, and couldn't resist the Fruity Pebbles milkshake -- because how do you not try that? Everything was made fresh to order. The burger had this beautiful thin, crispy Maillard crust that you just don't get at a lot of fast-casual places. Not soggy, not greasy -- just right. The Cajun fries were also spot on: hot, well-seasoned, and clearly just out of the fryer. But real talk -- that milkshake? Absolute 10/10. Thick, flavorful, and the Fruity Pebbles gave it a fun texture and nostalgic kick. Kevin deserves a shoutout -- friendly, helpful, and reppin' the place like a pro. Give that man a raise!
