This place is so cozy. Walking in, it felt like the perfect spot to have food and good conversation with friends. You order on a touch screen. We ordered the soy garlic wings, fries, and the hot peppers cheeseburger. My friend really liked his cheeseburger. I wish the fries were cut a little thicker. They were very thin and so the salt/seasoning clung onto certain parts making it too salty. The wings were really tasty. I wanted to order more. We all ordered the red sangria and were disappointed. It wasn't really sangria, just red wine and the a much smaller pour than we saw in photos on the menu or online. If you're going to order a drink, I would stick with the canned cocktails instead. My final verdict is that the food is good and look forward to coming back with friends! read more

Came here for the first time, thanks to the Fort Lee Restaurant Week deal, but the burgers are well worth the price even without the deal. Solid cheeseburger loaded with flavor. Great bun. Everything goes down so dangerously easy! The restaurant is tucked away a little, and the inside is really quaint with fun decor. Depending on time of day, the parking may be tricky. This food here is great - consistently delicious burgers and tater tots. The service is as fast as it can be given that there are only two guys working and everything is made from scratch when you place an order. Their new chick pea burger is like a very crispy giant falafel patty. Side note: The last time I visited, I witnessed several badly behaved customers who were incredibly impatient and rude to the young man preparing their orders. This place is not a drive thru McDonalds, you WILL need to wait 10-15 minutes for your food to be prepared during peak times, so be patient. Don't leave your kids in a car on the hottest day of summer and take it out on the person working behind the counter because your order is not ready the second you walk in the restaurant. Burger Play is such an underrated (literally) burger joint! Their burger, wings and fried potatoes are all really solid for the price. I think if anything they are just having a hard time competing in the very established preferences of Fort Lee. I asked for the Bacon Jam burger and I am now hooked. They do it so well! Parking is really difficult though, unlike a lot of other establishments, they only have 3 spots up front. They do operate a bit like a cloud kitchen though (some indoor seating converted to storage). The staff are really friendly and my food was ready so fast. I will definitely be stopping by next time I am in Fort Lee. read more

New smash burger place alert!! This hole in the wall burger joint serves up a mean smash burger. I definitely recommended getting a double cheeseburger because you're going to want to have more once you have a bite. The cheeseburger is super flavorful-you can tell it's a homemade blend. I loved the shredded lettuce and special sauce on top...it makes it super juicy. I loved the hotdog too-just super simple and the bun really made it for me. The wings were great, the tots were crispy and I recommend getting the tots with chili cheese on top. It's a super cute place that will soon have outdoor seating and it will be pooch friendly! The flavors of the burger blend together perfectly, the fries are generously seasoned, the tots are phenomenal and the soy garlic wings were full of flavor. Hot Pepper Cheeseburger is for anyone looking for heat. This one's my favorite. The original hot dog tastes good and is larger than a normal sized hot dog. The fries were extremely thin and perfectly salted, so no ketchup was needed it was good but not the best. The burger looked and tasted great. Since it's not a restaurant, you buy your food and eat it on the spot. In the back, there's a pet-friendly area with sofas, which could be a concern for those with animal allergies. i would honestly just come here for the wings. the burger isn't what i expected, it's more of a smash burger with a lot going on in the burger, i would've loved to have more kimchi flavor in the burger rather than pickles. overall the food was good. this is a very casual place where you order your food on a tablet, and also there is no bathroom. read more

Decided to try this place out after hearing about the opening and it was pretty decent! The wings were the star of the show - perfect amount of sauce and they have a really tasty buffalo sauce they use. The burger meat was solid but they don't seem to toast their buns which makes them a little soggy which was the downside to it. The house sauce they use (similar to a Big Mac sauce) was pretty good too...not too sweet which I liked. Their fries were ok....i love shoe string fries but theirs was pretty basic and lacked salt. This place probably lands a 3.5/5 for me but I'm rounding up to 4 since they are brand new and if they make a few small tweaks like toasting their buns and salting their fries better they'll be much better. Love that they have some alcoholic beverages here and the space has a nice vibe. Menu is focused (burgers, dogs, wings - I would be excited if they added chicken burgers to the menu as I still miss Lauren's that was just a couple of blocks away).
