There are some good items here - the 'Dykman Bird' is large with a generous sized chicken fillet. But the wieners on the hot dogs are too skinny for me and I could barely taste it. From a place like this I would expect the meat to be big, thick, and juicy. My friend said 'This place has skinny weenies'. Size and taste matters when I'm looking for a good weiner, especially from a place that specializes in hot dogs.

The ice cold hotdogs I ordered that was not split nor crispy and no avocado!

Dogs arrived ice cold not with requested spec. Called only to by told who picked up the call they did not speak English (really in this social/ political Climate?) && told no there was no managers to speak to! Stop the micro aggression

Maracucha Burger

The food is really good, I got the Maracucha Burger. I ate that burger in 8 minutes. It is reasonably priced for the amount you get. I love the set up and the vibe of the place. The workers were very nice with my family and I. Will come here again!!

I discovered this place through a post on Ig and decided to put it on my bookmarks, as I was doing something in the area we decided to finally give it a try. I really don't understand the posts with 1 star as this place is THE BOMB!!! I fell in love with their Dyckman fries and have already ordered them twice in two of three different versions(plantains and fries). My very Dominican boyfriend loved the Dominican fries and also ordered them twice in two different versions(plantains and sweet potatoes) The staff at Dyckman Dogs was extremely friendly to me and my boyfriend even tho we had to talk through the glass. They even came to us to say bye and wish us a good rest of the day. Their team in the kitchen was also very friendly, they were waving at us and talking through signs, really appreciated how polite and attentive they were. We've been here twice in the same week and already recommended to other people who also visited and loved their food. I already had the pleasure to eat two of their Hot Dogs, their DELICIOUS loaded Fries and last but not least, their Maracucha Burger. I have to say EVERYTHING was made to perfection and extremely delightful. I 100% recommend this place and will definitely come back for more!!

Amazing, and quick service. When we first walked in it was a bit suspicious considering it was empty but despite that the food was amazing. We waited about 10 minutes (max) before we got our food. I will definitely come back and try other dishes!

Before arriving at the place I was a bit scared because I saw it empty, but honestly the food surprised me, how juicy the meat was and how fast the service was, I just can't wait to go back to NY to go again.

Nestled on the busy Dyckman streetI this spot is servin up a bunch of eats including Venezuelan Hot Dogs I love Venezuelan hot dogs! They are loaded with toppings and give each bite layers of taste. Heard about this spot in Uptown Manhattan and checked it out. Got the Dyckman Dog and the Venezuelan Dog. Dyckman Dog is a beef dog with buttery corn, bacon, pink sauce, Venezuelan shredded cheese and chives on a toasted brioche. The dog is crispy and the bun is on point. The bun gives it a lot of flavor. I probably would have preferred a thicker and softer dog. Venezuelan Dog is also a beef dog topped w cabbage, tomato, white onion, a chunk of Venezuelan cheese called queso llareno, potato sticks and house mayo on a toasted brioche. I liked it but wasn't wowed by it. Wasnt as flavorful as other Venezuelan dogs I've had. This is personal preference: I would have gone w less cabbage and and thinner slice of queso llareno. If you want to try a different type of hot dog definitely give these Venezuelan hot dogs a try. This spot also sells burgers and wings. Will check it out next time.

Was meaning to get here for a long time finally in the Midfle of this pandemic I needed something different... I originally came for the dogs but ordered the Dyckman burger ... it was off the hook great ... and I rarely say that ... it was 2 burgers with cheese...cooked onions which I normally won't eat ... crispy bacon... and special sauce in a great bun ... and potato sticks one of the best burgers I've ever had ... can't wait to come back ....

Don't get the hate here! This place is making a slamming burger and fries! Giving it 4 stars because the bacon was way too undercooked and the wait was long, but the food is amazing. I came on a random Friday night. Ordered my burger and was told 15 min. It became more like 40-45 which they really have to improve on, but once i got home with the food it was good. I had the Dyckman Burger and it was great! Burger was well cooked and the cheese, caramelized onions, potato sticks were excellent additions/combinations. The only area that needed to be adjusted was the bacon. It was not cooked at all! All you need to do is let it sit on the grill. Not too hard, but to serve flabby undercooked bacon is bad. Work on this! All in all-Loved the food and would like to go back. Hopefully they'll have adjusted some of the operation to speed the process up a bit. Don't forget to cook that bacon. P.S. get the Dyckman Fries. Amazing!

This the second time I try Dyckman Dogs, last time ordered some Plantain Fries, but this time wanted to get actual and original order. This was amazing, veery tasty but not salty, crunchy fries, although If I had the option I would've added more salsa and cheese.. at the bottom the fries were dry with no Special sauce nor cheese .. but this was amazing, my sister and mom ordered the samee but with onions.. You need to try them out!! Also I called for pick up, and the guy that took the phone and gave me order was veery very friendly, everyone was even the one in the kitchen .. loved this food and place!

Dyckman dog

Friend recommended this place, and they definitely didn't disappoint! Worth the hour drive lol we got the Dyckman & Dominican dogs.. bread was lightly toasted, the toppings made each one special & packed with so much flavor. Will most definitely be back!

Piece of plastic I found in my burger.

Don't believe the hype! I came here after seeing devour power post several sandwiches from this place and they looked amazing. On10/8 I ordered two fried chicken sandwiches, a burger, a loaded hot dog, and the loaded fries. The loaded fries and burger were pretty. The chicken and hot dog on the other hand were a big fail. Chicken was burnt and tough and the hotdog was undercooked. To top it of, I had put the burger to the side to save the best for last and to my surprise I find a nice piece of tough plastic in there. Never again

We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

I was also struck at how clean the tavern was, without feeling sterilized or lacking in personality. I got the impression that this tavern specializes in cocktails, as they didn't have the most expansive beer options, but some of the cocktails that the other patrons had looked awesome! I probably should have ordered one, as I could tell that the bartenders put quite a bit of effort into making them. As for these bartenders, they were pretty nice and relatively helpful. I was somewhat disappointed when I looked at the menu and saw how expensive their food was. I'm a huge fan of mozzarella sticks and was excited to see that they had them. However, when I saw that they were $15+, I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for them. I got some pub fries instead, which were good, yet again, pretty expensive. All in all, Turtle Bay Tavern had an awesome ambiance, which nailed the upscale but not pretentious vibe, and seemingly had great cocktails and a fine enough beer menu. Their food was good but expensive to the point where I'd consider it a luxury, and I wouldn't come here looking to satisfy any large cravings.

I will dream about the JRB burger I had for the rest of my lifeeeeeeeeee ohh meee gedddd…read more After walking Central Park I just wanted a dang burger so we found this spot. I LOVE a good Irish pub and this one felt like the perfect puzzle piece for me that day. When you walk in it's a narrow long pub with dim lighting which was so chill and easy on the eyes. Gave us a nice break. Plenty of bar seating and toward the back they have tables. Some TV's behind the bar but nothing gleaming in your face. The bartenders were awesome. Attentive, chill, converse and just generally nice folks. The menu was small-ish but had the most amazing options. Two-part, proper settle, tight dome, no rushing it. That's rarer than it should be in Midtown where half the bars treat a stout like a lager. Whoever's behind the bar here has been trained or grew up around it. Food's better than a second-floor pub between 5th and 6th has any right to be. The JRB burger comes on a house-ground patty (they grind in-house, and you can tell, loose texture, actual seasoning), caramelized onions cooked down all the way, not just softened, good cheese pull. Fried pickles on the side had a crisp cornmeal shell and stayed crunchy under the burger juices, which never happens. Buttermilk chicken salad was the surprise. Chicken actually brined, crust stayed on, greens weren't an afterthought. Only real knock: music was loud. Not sports-bar loud, more like the bartender's playlist got away from him. Fine at the bar, harder at a table if you want to talk. Room's got real bones. Reclaimed barn wood, old rail track as a foot rest, that big 45-star flag on the wall. Been here almost 20 years and it's aged into itself. For the neighborhood the pricing's fair. Beats P.J. Clarke's on the burger, loses on quiet. Go for a beer and a burger, not a date.
